Accidentally removed SD card without unmounting...all pictures seem to be gone. HELP???

Tonight I received a notification on my LG Ally that my SD card was unmounted (though I had done nothing but pick up the phone). I opened the SD card flap and tried to push the card in to make sure that it was connected...but didn't realize that pushing it in actually pops it out. So, I inadvertently ejected the SD card without unmounting it. When I put it back in, I realized that ALL of my pictures are GONE. Is there anything I can do to get them back, or do I just get to chalk this one up to my own stupidity?

This has been happening repeatedly. it has happened before, but just randomly, and now it is happening more frequently. I am also missing photos(in my gallery), while in this state, although some of the photos that are stored on the SD card are contact photos which are still present. My concern is not my photos however, i'm more concerned about why this is happening not what is happening.

Removing SIM card without ruining data

Hi! Last night my iphone touch screen stopped working (the screen is also cracked). I don't have a laptop with me (on vacation) that supports itunes. i was wondering if removing my SIM card (and putting it in a different phone) would ruin any data (contacts especially) stored on my broken iphone. And then i ideally i would get back to my laptop and backup my iphone before taking it to the apple store and rectifying the situation.

Besides the account info for your cellular account, no data is stored on the SIM card with the iPhone. The iPhone does not support storing any data on the SIM card.

All pictures seem to be low resolution in the photo app

All the photos look okay unzoomed, but zoom in a bit and its blurry and what not. These are photos synced from my comp. It almost seems like the full pictures are being added to the ipod touch, since in itunes it shows the photos taking up about as much HD space as i'd expect.... but since the photos in the photo app viewer look so small i've got no idea.
I've had a previous ipod touch, 1st gen and i dont rememeber this being a problem.
Right now zooming in on pictures is apparently useless as it is less of a zoom and more of a magnifying glass on a small picture. Is this a common problem? Does 3.0 fix this? Thanks.

yeah this has been a problem a few people have come across, one of the 2.x updates was supposed to fix it. i suggest you report it to apple:

How do I print a blank card on Iphoto all options seem to have text and photos inside

I have tried to find just a plain blank photo card 5x7. There is one that has a blank cover but in the folded area there seems to be no blank option they all have photo inserts and text inserts???? It seems that you can delete the text boxes but I cant seem to delete the photo insert boxes

The question of making and having printed a photo book has been asked more than a few times now. It seems like a good idea. Perhaps you might provide that suggestion directly to Apple on their iPhoto for iOS Feedback page here

If you have an iPad 1 then you cannot upgrade to iOS7, you can only go to iOS 5.1.1
to update, connect your iPad to the computer you normally sync with. Update iTUnes. Do a full back up of your device onto that computer. Then download and install the update. Once the update is done the computer will restore your iPad from the backup that you just made and you should lose nothing.

Pictures Seem to be Gone!

I had all of my pictures stored on iCloud on my PC, via Lightroom. I backed up and synced my iPad and iPhone last weekend. Now my picture folders are grayed out, and have a "?" beside them, which does nothing when I click on it. Help!

All photos seem to be gone or corrupted

I have been using iphoto 5.0.4 for a few years with no problems and had about 4000 photos. Today I went to open iphoto as usual, and I have blank squares where the photos used to be. If I right click on one of these squares to edit in separate window, a window pops up with nothing but black space. If I click on a square and try to export, it fails with a message "can't create file <filename>". Unfortunately I do not have a backup, so this is kind of serious.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
Go to your Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library Folder there.
Have a look inside this is where your photos should be. Can you find them? If so, try recreate your Library by Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

One simple update to iTunes, and now all of my playlists (smart and regular) are gone. Any idea on how to get them back, or to revert to 10.5?

Do you see a file Music/iTunes/iTunes Library.itl ? If so, there's your playlists. Hold down the option key while starting iTunes and guide it to that file.
If that files is gone, do you have other content in your iTunes folder, in particular media and or a file ending in .xml or backup files? Depending upon what you see you can probably recover your lists.
It is always a good idea to back up before installing new software. Some day your hard drive will die and nothing (except maybe $2000+) will recover it.

I have tried setting up my Tiscali account on my Ipad2. I have spoken to a TalkTalk advisor who talked me through the set up. To test the settings she asked me send myself a mail (ipad to laptop and vice versa). This worked, however, I tried sending a friend a mail and she did not receive anything. This is starting to annoy me now.
Can anyone suggest anything that I could try?

Is there a copy of the email you sent to your friend in the SENT folder? Did you receive a copy of it in your INBOX? You should if you have it set up to do that - Settings, Mail.... always Bcc myself.
Try sending another email to someone else eg., [email protected]

Why can I not remove my credit card without cancel...

Subscription cancellation means that you cancel the future recurring payment (of the subscription renewal). You will be able to use the subscription during the period that you have already purchased.

I have an ipad and forgot the password. I tried to many times and it disabled on me. How do I get back into my ipad without using iTunes and without losing all my saved items.

If it's disabled then it's too late to copy any content off it or to take a new backup, you will have to reset it back to factory defaults by connecting it to a computer's iTunes : Forgot passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support
Have you been backing up to the cloud ? If you have then after resetting it back to factory defaults you can restore to that backup : Back up and restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch using iCloud or iTunes - Apple Support
If you bought it second hand then had the previous user removed their account from Settings > iCloud (and had Find My iPad enabled) on it ? If not and the iPad is on iOS 7+ then you will have to contact the previous owner to reactivate the iPad after resetting it : Find My iPhone Activation Lock: Removing a device from a previous owner’s account - Apple Support

Unable to remove agp card from g5 tower :(

I'm unsure what is holding me back but it seems that there may be some clip or latch stuck; I have never experienced this when removing a card before; but I cannot seem to get the back of the card to come out.
suggestions? please.

It can be really awkward; you just have to hold the clip out of the way and lift the card at front and back alternately - and hope.

HELP! I need to be able to remove power from a PXI chassis and replace a card without rebooting the whole system

I do not have particulars on the controller, but I am sure it's an NI chassis
and NI regular controller that has a serial cable leading back to the PC.
I am making this PXI rack into a debug rack for instrument cards,
so I need to be able to remove power from just the PXI chassis
and then replace the card with another one
or the same one and then turn the power back on and restart a
diagnostic test on the card WITHOUT
having to reboot the PC.
Is there a PCIe bridge setup that would allow me to do this?
Is there software that I need that can accomplish this?

Let me re-enumerate my requirements:
Background:
I have a number of NI cards as well as other manufactured cards in the system.
One of these cards in the NI system is considered to be a UUT.
That is, I am using the NI card cage system and other cards in the system to test a CARD
during a manufacturing test of said UUT CARD.
The UUT uses a PLX 9030 for it's PCI interfacing.
This UUT is not designed for hot swap, and I do not bieleve it is plug and play.
Requirement:
1. I need to be able to shut off the chassis and remove the UUT when the test finishes, replace the tested UUT
with a unknown UUT, re-apply power and then test the new UUT WITHOUT having to reboot the PC.
I have tried several things, such as disabling the PCIe busses in the windows control panel, and then removing power
replacing the UUT with the next one, re-applying chassis power and then re-enabling the bus and SOMETIMES it works.
I need a very robust way to do this.
I also bought a CHROMA PXI-52906-E extender card with bus switches on it, so that I can remove power to the UUT
without shutting off the chassis. The card is supposedley designed so that when power is re-applied to the UUT, the necessary
signals to boot the PXI PCI interface is conducted, but I think something else has to be written to the card's PCI registers.
I am by no means an expert in PCI/PXI,
but I seem to have exhausted all of my reserach online in how to meet my requirements.
Perhaps there is a way for the NI8331 controller to capture PCI configuration data to the card's on system boot,
and then "replay it" to my UUT after I re-apply power to the UUT?
Or perhaps PLX makes such a tool?
Any ideas?

Please be aware that you are not communicating with Apple when you post in these forums. The only people who will reply to your posts are we your fellow users.
Since you don't say what resources and methods you've been attempting to get this matter resolved, it's difficult to offer suggestions. But if your credit card has been used without your permission, your primary recourse should be to your credit card company to report the unauthorized charges and have them issue you a new credit card. If your card has been compromised such as to make unauthorized charges on the iTunes Store, it's highly probably that it can be used elsewhere.
