Any suggestions on how to get data back after accidentally restoring new iPhone 4 to old 3GS settings?

Restore again, and this time when asked, restore it from that backup. Do not restore it as a new device.

Trying to restore iphone 4s to factory settings, now its stuck on recovery mode???

trying to restore iphone 4s to factory settings but is stuck on recovery mode. home button does not work. can anybody help me? i have tried to restoer it several times but it wont work??

try a different cable a different usb port, drop all security software and fire wall, try a different computer here are the steps
recovery mode
open itunes on computer
plug cable into computer not iOS device
turn device off
hold home button and plug cable into IOS device. do not release home button until an itunes graphic appears on IOS device.
look to computer should have message about recovery mode click ok and restore

Wi Fi Disabled while restoring iPhone 3G with 3.1.2 Software

I am having one apple iPhone 3G with me .recently I am restored the phone in Factory default settings and install the new software which is 3.1.2.Now the phone is locked and I am not able to unlock the phone,because the Wi Fi is not enabled.Showing (No Wi Fi)
Please help me out on this matter,what will do for the same,please forward the message to apple forum so that any body can suggest the solution at the earliest.

It is ridiculous. Completely.
I had NO problems with this until the 3.1 upgrade at which time it happened from time to time, mostly I'd lose signal (in areas where I'd previously had excellent signal quality) and then call would drop.
Since the release of 3.1.2 I've had persistant and consistent dropped calls. Every time I'm about 10-20 minutes into a phone call, it drops and displays "Call Failed."
Ironically, 3.1.2 was supposed to fix the dropped calls problem, according to the description of the upgrade when it was released, and all it did for me was cause more frequent call dropping.
I had virtually no call problems for the past year and a half (on both a 3G and subsequently a 3G-S) until this latest "upgrade" which has really been a downgrade, in my opinion.
Having worked for the wireless provider the supplies the iPhone in Canada for nearly 5 years, I know it's a hardware issue, NOT a network issue.

The OS is not included in your iphone backup, thus if you restore your phone as a new device iOS 4.1 will be installed on your phone. Be sure an update to itunes 10.0 before you do so.

Hi. This is the first time since I knew apple devices..
I own - iPhone 4 with iOS 5.1
          - iPhone 4 with iOS 7.0.4
          - iPhone 4S with iOS 7.0.4
          - iPhone 5 "out of service"
          - iPhone 5s with iOS 7.0.4
          - iPad 2 with iOS 5.1.1
          - iPad 3 with iOS 7.0.4
Ever since I own my first iPhone 4 I never face unresolved problem like the 2 I'll mention.
1- suddenly my iPhone 5 lost mobile company signal and word searching appears instead but no signal for the hole day so I changed the sim with other provider and since it gave me the same result I searched the web and the seems no solution other than restore.
I did restore and update to iOS 7.0.4 but at the restore takes at the last 1% in the last moment of restore it will take loooong time then gave me error 3. And now for more than a month the iPhone stuck with recovery logo. Almost I tried every trick in the book . Change USB cable, port, PC. PC with other OS . Even freezing the iPhone as I read here noooooo result the same happened again and again.
2- when I update my iPad3 to 7.0.1 everything went normal till one day ago suddenly I found my account logged out of the Game Center by its self and when I wanted to log again it will gave me error of can't connect to server or cocoa error??? Strange thing I can use other account to log in but mine No. Only my account is forbidden in my device while any other account I can login normally. Also my account and Game Center working without any problem in all other devices.
I also tried every trick , change my ID then password then the whole ID domin nothing works. I restart normally then by pressing power/home. I logged off my self from all other devices and tried but also no hope.
So - my account has no problem working with any other device
     - My iPad had no problem with other accounts in Game Center except me. While the same account had no problem with iCloud or email in the same iPad.
I don't and I will not DO restore since it is bizarre problem and I already faced same problem in my iPhone 5s when I restore old backup to iOS 7.0.4 and was the only solution is to set up as NEW iPhone
I saw similar problem but no difinite answer from Apple itself and this is strang but always I was loyal customer and already convinced about 8 of my friends to use iPhone during last 3 years and I expect apple to be loyal to me in the first time I am seeking there actuate direct advice.

My daughter accidentally restored her ipod4 to factory settings so I restored from the last iCloud backup. Her photos were all on camera roll so I believe should have been backed up, but none of them have been restored. Why?

When she plugged in the ipod last night it backed up again so that now shows as the latest backup. No previous backups are listed so I do not seem to have the option to rerun the old one. She had many pictures on the camera roll taken from well before July. I can only presume that the backup in July must have been incomplete - but then I didn't think it was supposed to list as an option to restore from. Luckily many of the photos had been backed up on the pc but I am very frustrated as to why the icloud backup didn't protect them. Thank you for your advice though, I appreciate it.

(iphone) problems with PSChildPaneSpecifier Settings.bundle key

I'm trying to add a PSChildPaneSpecifier key to the Settings.bundle of my app. I created a new settings .plist file for the chile pane and to the best of my understanding followed the instructions in the settings bundle schema reference, however when I open my app settings the child pane table element does not appear. Can anyone point me to some sample code which demonstrates the use of PSChildPaneSpecifier, or share some tips from their experience with this feature about some things I may be doing wrong?

If you select the Download Only, which is what I do all of the time, even with a broadband connection, once it is finished downloading, you go back to the Check for Update button in iTunes and it will detect the file there and then begin uncompressing the file and installing it. After the upgrade you will not need to restore the firmware, just restore your backup.

My iPhone 4S was backed up last week on iTunes 10.
I upgraded it to iOS 7 a day later and cannot back it up with iTunes 10 anymore.
Today, I had my iPhone 4S replaced as the button was faulty.
Since I had backed-up on iTunes 10 previously, i proceeded to back up everything into iCloud, less the photos as it was very large size and took a long time.
Now as I try to restore my iPhone 4S from my iTunes backup, I only have my photos and none of the apps that I had backed up with iCloud. I can't restore it from iTunes and iCloud at the same time.
Since i already have my photos, how can I restore my iPhone to the original state with all the apps in there?

Do you mean iOS 3.1? There is no iPhone "3.1" model.
You can't connect the iP4S with iTunes 9.x. You can backup the iTunes 9.2 to DVDR or HD, and restore that backup to Tunes 10.5 on the other computer, then restore that backup to the iPhone 4S.

Restore iphone 5 to factory settings and then restore my data from backup

I have an iphone 5 running ios 7.0.6 which was installed over the air. I want to replace that over the air installation with a usb installed version. It appears that to do this I have to 'restore' my iphone back to factory condition which as I understand it will install the new ios, but also erase all of my data/apps/etc. If I make a backup of my phone prior to 'restoring' it, will I be able to then use my backup to restore all my stuff?

I have done the backup and restore several times to an iPad and an iPhone. I have never had a failure. Make certain your device is fully charged before you start.
I have done this to remove excessive "other" storage on the devices.

Error 1015 is usually a downgrade error. If you are restoring to 4.2.1 firmware then this is most often due to iPhone having iPad baseband. Did you get this iPhone from someone else? If this is the case you will need to search the web for help. Search for iPad baseband, 1015, etc.
