===================================================
PURPOSE
Problem Description
symptom: Cannot Transfer Accounting Entry To The General Ledger
accounting entry를 general ledger로 transfer 할수 없는 경우
Accounting Error Code(에러 메세지) : The account code for this line is not valid
symptom: Accounting entries have accounting entry creation errors
accounting entries에 accounting entry creation error가 발생
cause: The cause of this problem is still undetermined.
아직 정확한 원인은 파악이 되지 않은 상태이다
Workaround
AP에서 appove된 후 에 GL에서 ccid가 disable된 송장을 다시 process를 하기 위한 스텝
The Charge account did not create after running Payables Accounting Process.
Charge account가 Payables Accounting Process를 실행한 후에도 생성되지 않는 경우
사용자는 gl의 CCID를 enable해야만한다.
업데이트된 accouting entry들의 accounting lines를 업데이트 해야 한다.
그리고 AP Transfer to GL을 다시 돌린다.
Journ Import를 실행한다.

    Hi,
You can transfer a summarized inventory/work in process activity for a given period
into the general ledger interface. Using Journal Import in Oracle General Ledger, you can then post this information to the general ledger. You can perform the general ledger transfer at any time during an open period-not just at period close. The transfer loads summary or detail accounting activity for any open period into the general ledger interface, including both inventory and work in process entries. When more than one period is open, the transfer selects transactions from the
first open period up to the entered transfer date, and passes the correct accounting date and financial information into the general ledger interface.
When transferring detail entries, the accounting date in the GL_interface table is
populated with the period end date of the accounting period. When you transfer
summary entries with two periods open, and you enter a transfer date in the second period, the transfer process assigns the period one end date for all the summarized transactions in period one, and assigns the entered transfer date for the summarized transactions in period two. Using Journal Import and Post Journals processes in Oracle General Ledger, you can then post this information to the general ledger.
Interim transfers allow you to reconcile and transfer information weekly, for
example, making the month-end period close process much simpler and faster.
Note: If time permits, run the general ledger transfer process up to the period end date before closing the period. Since you cannot reopen a closed period, running this process before period close allows you to proof the summary transactions and make adjustments to the period via new inventory transactions as necessary. This makes the month-end period close process much simpler and faster
    Thanks,

  • AR General Ledger Transfer

    Hello,
How does AR General Ledger Transfer drive Reference1 value in GL interface table...Is there any setup, in our environment it it populating like
"MR102 AR 150757" I just want to konw from where it is driving value of "MR102" .as i know AR and 150757(Posting control id) is the standard...so trying to fugue out about "MR102"...
    Any idea?
    Thanks
    Deepak

Thanks Nagamohan for your comments. This sounds just like what am looking for.
Is the gl_import_hook_pkg.pre_module_hook a standard oracle api? When I submit the 'General Ledger Transfer Program', the following conc programs are spawned - Revenue Recognition, Update Posting Control & finally Journal Import in that order. How and where does the api fit into?
Basically, as I said previously what I would like is to completely replace the text "Distribution for miscellaneous receipt" with what the user entered in the receipt header/distributions 'Comments' field. This text is concatenated with the receipt number and displayed in the 'Description' field of the Account Analysis report.
A step by step example will be useful. We are on 11.5.9.
    Thanks.

  • How do you do a General Ledger Transfer in R12?

I am looking for the General Ledger Report, In release 11.5.10.2 it was located in Recievables Manager > Interfaces > General Ledger. In R12 I am unsure on how to run that same report. Where is this report located?
    Thanks.

In R-12 To initiate the transfer of Receivables accounting information from Oracle Subledger Accounting to Oracle General Ledger, run the Create Accounting program in final
mode. When you create final accounting, the Create Accounting program transfers data about your adjustments, chargebacks, credit memos, commitments, debit memos,
invoices, and receipts to a Subledger Accounting interface table and, depending on other entered parameters, runs Journal Import and posts the journal entries in General
Ledger. Or, you can create draft accounting first; later, when you create the final accounting, you can complete the transfer and posting process. Draft accounting entries cannot be transferred to General Ledger.

  • General Ledger Transfer

    Hi,
Could you please explain why we are using transfer account in Posting area 0100.
When this entry will be updated and where it will be updated.
    Thanks.
    Vijay

That transfer account does exactly what the help says it does:
"When summary records are transferred from contract accounts receivable and payable to the general ledger, a document split may be required if not all the items in a G/L document could be posted in one document (due to the limited number of items in a G/L document). G/L documents then do not usually have a zero balance. Posting to a transfer account will result in a zero balance."
Let's say you transfer to FI a reconciliation key having 1000 lines. This means the FI document should have 1000 lines. But the FI document only accepts 500 lines (I don't really know the exact number, this is just an example). So you need at least 2 FI documents to be generated. But picking 500 lines from the reconciliation key may result in a FI document with a balance different from zero (credit amount not equal to debit amount). So the system will add a line in the first document with the difference to the transfer account, then start the next document with a similar line for that transfer account.
    More exactly
    Document 1:
... (lines with amounts and G/L accounts)
balance: 1000 units on debit, 900 units on credit equal unbalanced document
system adds a line with: transfer account - 100 units on credit, resulting in balance of the document 1 being zero.
    Document 2:
line with transfer account - 100 units on debit (to balance the 100 units of credit from document 1)
Of course, there may be more than 2 documents, which will complicate the filling of that particular line, but the principle is described above.
    Hope this helps,
    Bogdan

  • In House Cash Accounts and general ledger account

can somebody please try to explain me how the booking look like for an internal payment with ihc? (bookings in ihc, general ledger.....)
maybe this question is a little bit silly: how could I imagine, how the subsidiray know that they have a claim/ debt vs. the in house bank? do they have an extra general ledger account for this or some other accounts anywhere else?
do you understand what I want to know?
    Thx in advance

    Hi
you will find your payment to or from the IHC center just like for any other bank posting - on the bank reconciliation accounts. So if you have an unmatched item here - something is wrong. You can choose to have special bank reconciliation accounts for the IHC payments if the company is also paying directly to external banks.
The important thing when entering the vendor invoices is thus that they are entered with the correct pmt instruction i.e. internal bank otherwise they will never be sent to the IHC center. If you receive customer payments from both the IHC and external banks - and you use different bank recon accounts - you thus need to find a way to distinguish these payments so they are cleared correctly when uploading bank statements.
    Hope this answered your question

  • Profit Center Derivation : Asset Accounting (New General Ledger)  ?

I have configured & activated new GL Accounting in my system (ECC 6.0). All my splitting & derivation is working except for transactions related to assets. Whenever I try to do a posting against asset, I get following generic error.
Balancing field "Profit Center" in line item 001 not filled
    Message no. GLT2201
    Diagnosis
The field Profit Center marked as balancing is not filled with any value in line item 001, even after document splitting.
    System Response
    The document cannot be posted.
    Procedure
    First check your entries.
    Additional causes could be:
No value can be derived for this field from the current document data.
You have entered a document type that is not designed for this business purpose.
I have done & checked the following :
    1. given cost center in asset master which derives the business area. the profit center is given in the cost center master
    2. checked the field status group for the asset recon. a/c, posting keys 70, 75 where PC is optional.
    3. Confirmed that doc type AA and asset recon ac are characterised for splitting.
I am clueless why is the asset not taking the profit center during transactions.
any welcome would be deeply appreciated. ?
    pls answer  ??
    Moderator: Please, search SDN

Hi, you need to activate cost center in AA,and make it optional for account and posting key, then PC'd derive from Cost center
Also check While posting F-90 profitcenter is blank and Grey mode

  • Net Income account in General Ledger

    I have a requirement of finding out a period's (say June-00) Current Profit/loss(Income - Expenses) in GL.
I have enabled Average Balace Option in the Set of Books. I had specified a Net Income Account. Does Net Income account carry standard balances besides average balances? Is it equivalent to Profit / Loss figure for a period?
Any clarifications on this will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance
    Can somebody

The net income account is defined a non-postable account to capture the net activity of all revenue and expense accounts. It stores the aggregate balances to compute the net income impact on the retained earnings average balances for any given period, quarter or year.
The primary difference between the non-postable net income account adn other balance sheet accounts, is that its balance does not roll forward when you open a new year. Instead, GL resets the account to zero when revenues and expenses are closed out to retained earnings at the end of the year.
You could query this account on line (Inquiry->Average) for the year end (Dec)to ensure that the defined net income account is resetting itself to zero.

  • Payment accounted in AP but not posted in General Ledger

    Helloo everyone,
    I have an issue.
Some Payments have been accounted in AP. However when querying the account in General ledger nothing is found.
As you can see from the above Accounting has been processed and GL date is 26 Feb 2015, However same information cannot be found in GL.
Grateful if anyone can pinpoint me to scripts or oracle docs to resolve this issue as it is impacting on the reconciliation process.

    Hello,
Normal: the transfer to GL request was run on 05 Mar 15
Now, let us look for the corresponding Batch Name and Journal Entry Name in GL
Please, in the lines shown in print screen you posted, click the + (show) icon for cash accounting class:
Under General ledger header you should see Batch and Journal Entry Names:
If these values are populated in SLA, then search them directly in Enter Journals from (General Ledger Responsibility) and update this discussion
    Thank you

  • Define field group in general ledger accounting

what is the use of 'define field groups', which comes under general ledger accounting- master date- additional activities, & how can we assign it?

    Dear Siddhi,
    In IMG under
Financial Accounting -> General Ledger Accounting -> G/L Accounts -> Master Data -> Preparations or
Financial Accounting (New) -> General Ledger Accounting (New) -> Master Data -> G/L Accounts -> Preparations
    Field groups:
Screen Fields are grouped into field groups. Field Status would idnentify the staus of particular field where as field status group would identify the status of group of fields.
    Example:
    Account control
    Account managemen
    Document entry
    Bank/financial de
    Interest calculat
    Joint venture
These groups would intern have fields.
When creating a G/L account, you must specify an account group.
    The account group determines:
o   the interval in which the account number must be
o   which fields are required and optional entries when creating and changing master records
o   which fields are suppressed when creating and changing master data.
It enables you to control the layout of screens.
You use account groups to combine accounts according to the above criteria (for example, a P&L account group, asset account group and material account group).
    Hope this will help.
    Regards,
    Naveen.

  • Offset account name for BP is missing in the general ledger report

    Hi all,
while taking the ledger report of a cash account through General ledger report in the financials ,it is not showing the Business partner name ,it is only displaying the code.
    Regards,
    naresh k

    Hello,
I am trying to get the "Offset Account Name" to print in the paper report. For the "on-screen" report it is displayed and can be toggled in the form settings, but this has no impact on the printable reports. I have looked all over trying to figure out an easy way to just add the data into the report, but for the built-in Crystal report, all the items come from the "PLD_Items" database. PLD_Items F_120 is the field for the Offset Account Code, but I don't know which one it is, if it's even there, for the description field.
Short of writing an entirely new report, is there a way to add this field?
    Thank you.

  • F.05 Posting for general ledger account .......[Error]

    Hi expert,
I am running a transaction in F.05 and encounter several error messages such as:
1 Incorrect account determination: ABC 11111 >> No performance Assistant message
2 Enter account number with a maximum of 10 characters  No performance Assistant message
3 Posting for general ledger account 11111 amount >>
    Performance Assistant message prompt:
Posting for general ledger account 11111 amount 199,999.00 set in batch input
    Message no. FR008
    Diagnosis
In an evaluation that affects the financial statements, the posting for company code ABC and G/L amount 199,999.00 SGD, could not be carried out.
    System Response
The posting is entered in a batch input session.
    Procedure
Correct the error, for example, missing account determination, and run the batch input session. This ensures that the posting and the evaluation difference noted in the documents agree again.
    Please advise.
    Thank you!

    1.  Financial Accounting (New) > General Ledger Accounting (New) > Periodic Processing > Valuate > Foreign Currency Valuation.
    Check your settings
    2. Check if how you have defined you account groups in OBD4. Most probabaly you have defined 10 digit account length.
    3. Check if the document type is relevent only for batch input.
