Check the songs are really not in the Music section of the library by clicking the magnifying glass in the search box and unticking Search Entire Library if it is ticked, then typing in the name of the album. If the tracks still don't show try closing iTunes and deleting a hidden file called sentinel from inside your iTunes folder. This should make iTunes run an integrity check on the database when you start it again. Make sure the tracks are checked before you try syncing again.

  • Yoga 3 Pro driver for ACPI\VPC2004 in Device Manager

    Hi all, first post here...
I am re-installing Windows 8.1 and the required drivers for my Yoga 3 Pro (to get rid of Superfish, started the task before the Lenovo tool came out...)
I am almost there, except for one unknown device in the Device Manager, which has a code in its detail of ACPI\VPC2004.
A quick google gives me a link to - Lenovo http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/ht071645 - and a page which says 'Download and run the Energy Management from Lenovo support website with the proper Operating System version. This will install the chipset INF files so that Windows properly recognizes the virtual power controller ACPI/VPC2004.'
All apparently clear. However I am rather unclear on which file on the relevant yoga page ( http://support.lenovo.com/gb/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/yoga-series/yoga-3-pro-1370-laptop-len... ) I should be using? - I have already installed all of the drivers on that page (other than the intel wireless LAN and bluetooth as the yoga has Broadcomm).
Any thoughts or direction would be massively appreciated!
    Thanks!

It looks like the power management comes from One Key Optimizer. Can you install it and let me know if the driver installs as well? If not, I can extract it from my install.

  • Lenovo G560, Windows 8 and Hiren's Boot program

I installed Windows 8 on my Lenovo G560 and one partition of my Harddisk has some errors. I have tried repairing it with the Windows Repair Utility program but the drive errors continue to occur. Previously when my machine was running on Windows 7, I used the Hiren's Boot 15.1 to repair any harddisk errors. However, since upgrading my laptop to Windows 8, Hiren's seems to fail to work citing time out when trying to read the Harddisk. I have no idea why. I was hoping if anyone has used another version of Hiren's on a Windows 8 that has worked perfectly to assist me. Any help will be much appreciated.

After upgrading an ENVY 4-1043CL to windows 8 (including upgrading bios), an unknown device is detected in control panel, and the system can't find a driver for it after numerous scans. How do i determine what the device is so that i can download the appropraite driver? I have also tried to use "auto detect" from the HP web site but that process crashes IE.

After further research I found it, it's the HP wireless button.

  • Issue with Lenovo T440 windows 7 x64

We have recently got a new laptop the Lenovo T440. I imported the drivers into the deployment share. I also put storage and network drivers in WinPE folder. Once i boot to the PXE and select x64 it loads in to PE and gives an error saying that "the
following network device did not have a driver installed. PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_155A&SUBSYS_221417AA&REV_04." It allows me to retry or cancel. I have booted it to windows found what driver it uses which is a e1d62x64. I have made sure that that
driver was in the WinPE folder but it still isnt working i have even made it pull drivers only from a folder i created with only the t440 drivers. But that didn't work either. I am using PE version 3 (Windows 7) and all drivers i have installed are for Windows
    7. If any one could help me with this issue that would be so awesome. I want to get this to work due to us more then likely getting more T440s. The networking hardware is a I218-LM if anyone needs to know that too.

So we just got the t440s's here as well.  We faced a different issue, as the drivers being in the "general" store caused other models to blue screen.
I've got them working now, what I had to do with them is create a custom variable in the customsettings.ini called customdrivers set to no.  If it detects the model, set the variable to t440.
In the drivers, I have the t440 in their own folder(downloaded the sccm package from lenovo), and all of the others in a folder called general(no conflicts with any other device).  Under advanced configuration, I have two selection profiles as of now,
    General, and T440.
In the task sequence, with the inject drivers, I have two inject drivers task.  The first one, which under options, looks for the variable customdrivers to be set to t440, if it isn't it will move on.  If it is found, it will install only drivers
    from the T440 Selection profile.
The second one, under options, will only run of customvariables is no.  This uses the general selection profiles.
Neither of these is set to All Drivers.
I know this is not your issue, but these were the steps taken to get the t440's successfully running here, and hopefully similar steps may resolve the issue you are having.
    Best of luck.

  • G560 Windows 7 clean install

    Hi Everyone!
My brother has the Lenovo G560 (I have the G585) but with relation to the G560, my brother went and "disconfigured" the hard drive so now when the PC boots up, after displaying the Lenovo sign, it shows a black screen saying the hard drive is not configured. It was Windows 7 Home Basic and now for the meantime i've re-installed windows 7 but it's Windows 7 Professional and does not have a product key so it can only be used for 30 days. I tried repairing the system first with the Windows 7 installation disk I have but it didn't work. Is it possible to restore his whole system. Windows 7 Home Basic, back to it's factory default state with hard drive D: which still has the Lenovo back up partition? Or is there a download link for Windows 7 Home Basic and can I use the product key on the sticker that came with the PC? As for the files we managed to retrieve as the Windows I installed for him created a "windows.old" folder in drive C: ALSO on my PC (the G585) which came with WIndows 7 Starter, I deleted the whole D: drive's back up partition by accident, is there any way i can re-download the files for that drive? I upgraded to Professional but if anything goes wrong I don't have any back up!
    Thanks in advance!!

  • T61p - IEEE 1394 (Firewire) port does not show up in device manager in Windows 7 x64

I have a T61p.  On the front, in the left corner, right next to the wireless on/off switch, is a IEEE 1394 (Firewire) port.  However, if I plug anything into it, it's not recognized by Windows, and if I go into the device manager in Windows, there is no IEEE 1394 host manager or ports or anything listed there.
I have rebooted and gone into the BIOS, and I don't see anything in there about 1394 either.  Is the port there, but the hardwire inside is missing?  Do I need to enable it somehow?

Let me clarify that.  I have something in the device manager called "SD Host Adapters", and under that "SDA Standard Compliant SD Host Controller".  That thing has a Microsoft driver.
However, under "IDE ATA/ATAPI contollers", I do see "Ricoh Memory Stick Contoller", "Ricoh SD/MMC Host Contoller", and "Ricoh xD-Picture Card Contoller".
I also have "PCMCIA adapters" that has "Ricoh R/RL/5C476(II) or Compatible CardBus Contoller".
So, it would seem I have the right drivers for the card reader, I'm just missing anything for the IEEE 1394 contoller...

  • Bluetooth not found in my lenovo g560 windows 8.1 64bit

when i on bluetooth switch  massage shown on screene device not found

    hi RAJUPUROHIT,
    Welcome to the Forums.
Prior to installing Windows 8.1, were you able to use the bluetooth functionality before?
If bluetooth was working before you upgraded to Win8.1, try the following:
Turn off the computer and remove the AC adapter and battery.
Press and hold the power button for 30secs then reconnect the AC adapter and battery.
Turn ON the computer and press F2 to boot into the BIOS, when you're in, press F9 to reset BIOS to defaults and press F10 to save and exit.
Boot into Windows and open Device Manager (press the Windows key‌ +R, type diskmgmt.msc and press Enter)) and see if you have a Bluetooth Module installed.
If the bluetooth device is still not showing, try to install these drivers and reboot:
    Lenovo Energy Management
    v5.4.0.8
    Bluetooth Driver installer
       - this will identify the type of Bluetooth Device installed on the system (eg. Qualcom Atheros, Intel, etc.) and it will install a generic Bluetooth driver. If successful, try pairing a bluetooth device and observe.
When finished, press Fn+F5 and check if you have the option to turn ON Wireless & Bluetooth (see image below). If these options aren't available, make sure the physical wireless switch is turned ON.
Let me know how it goes.

  • AMD HD7450 driver crash in Lenovo M82 / Windows 7 x64

    Dear Lenovo Community,
I tried today to install an AMD HD7450 (not the one sold by Lenovo but does it make a difference ?) on the PCIe port of a Lenovo M82. The aim for me is to use 3 screens on the Lenovo.
I have two distinct problems I do not understand.
-> First of all : Lenovo Bios concerning "multiple screen" option.
What does exactly means this option ?  This does nos seems to be explained in the Lenovo "hardware" PDF.
    I found here : http://download.lenovo.com/express/HT062228.html
That "multiple screen support" with additionnal PCI-e card requires to use the "IGD" mode and Enable Multi-Monitor Support. However, when I do so, the two screens (two LCDs with 1080p support, one VGA, one DVI) do not go on : only one of these is on even when Windows Desktop is reached, whatever the IGD, Auto, PEG and so one options I do activate. I think it's not normal, even if the driver is not installed. The two video cards (internal and PCI-e) should run in a VGA compatibility mode, isn't it ? So I have a question : does the Lenovo BIOS automatically disable the internal video card when an extra PCI-e card is detected ? Or does this behavior depends on "Select ACtive Video" / "Multi-Monitor Support" options of the BIOS ? Could someone clarify what is the M82 behaviour about this, or give some documentation ?
-> Next : AMD HD 7540 compatibility, even as unique video display
To install the AMD HD7540 video card on the Windows 7 x 64 system (installed by default with the Lenovo computer), I used the driver provided by Lenovo here :
    http://support.lenovo.com/fr_FR/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS029174
Once the driver is installed, the PC crashes. Then, impossible to restart it (I did not try the recovery mode) : once the "Lenovo" logo is shown, the screen displays a blinking something at the top of a blank screen, and the startup does not seems continue. To recover the boot sequence of Windows, I had to remove the card from the PCI-e port.
What should I do to install this video card ?
And over all : How can I have 3 display screens with the integrated lenovo video card + the AMD HD 7540 card ?
    Best Regards,
        Mike

I using the "multi-monitor support" as described in the doc above to use both the internal graphics and a HD 6670 on a M91p with Win 7 64-bit.
I'm using the latest Intel driver for the internal graphics, and Catalyst 13.4 from the AMD website for the graphics card.    I suggest download the software, de-install all the current graphics drivers and software (it will default to a basic Win 7 driver), reboot and install the new drivers and software.
To enable DisplayPort to DVI on the internal graphics and the DP on the 6670, I am using AMD approved DP to DVI adapters. The list is here: http://support.amd.com/us/eyefinity/Pages/eyefinity-dongles.aspx      I'm using a passive single link adapter on the internal, and an active single link on the 6670 (since it's the 3rd active port, and it supplies the clock to the adapter, the adapter can clock 2 ports on it's own.)    The active adapters are not much more, best to get them if you're not sure, also more flexibility down the road.
Additionally, ensure you have Win 7 SP1 installed, and latest updates ;  that you have manually updated to the latest BIOS.

  • Windows pro x64 with soundblster live World of Warcr

when i start up my world of warcraft, all of my sound gets greatly distorded. when i go into my sound control panel in windows and change the speeker seting to ither head phones or anything that is not curently selected as the default, the sound gose back to normal. when i am in world of warcraft, and i quit the game, the sound will then go back to normal as well. plz help, it is extreamly annoying to go into the setting over and over again to fix the sound when every i play world of warcraft.

I do know one thing about that game that you didnt list about it's hardware requirements. The game needs to have a certain version of DirectX. Do you have the right version of directX installed (alot of games have it included on the game cd and will ask you to install it at the same time you are installing the game)? Does your sound card support the version of directX that is needed by the game? The latest version of DirectX is 9.0c and I am pretty sure that World of Warcraft is a New game so it is pretty likely that World of Warcraft needs at least ver 8 or 9 of directX. Click Start, then Run, then type "dxdiag" without the qoutes and press enter. If it asks you to scan for the hardware compatibility say Yes or No(if you say yes it will scan your pc and will take a while to finish) on the screen that comes up, in the middle near the bottom it will say what version of direct X you have.
