Acquisto iphone in america

Qualcuno mi sa dire se io dovessi acquistare l Iphone 5s in america sbloccato ..troverei problemi ad utilizzarlo in italia e eventualmente con l assistenza ???

Dear Chad,
The phone will work, but read the following :
I purchased an iPhone from an Apple store in LA. I told the salesperson that I wanted to use it overseas , on business. I was told by the Apple Store salesperson, that roaming per month "would cost about $100 to $150 per month for 100 to 200 calls".
My first account from AT&T was $1316, then the next was $1100+.
These are facts about AT&T.
The phone is good , but do not go outside the city limits of a US town unless you are a billionaire Denmarkian.
Wait untill the IPhone goes to Finland, as that country prohibits phone companies locking in contracts to phones. I am sure the roaming will be cheaper from there !
Happy New Year to ALL.................................

  • If I bought my iPhone in America from an Apple Store and have the receipt can I return it to a Japanese Apple store?

If I bought my iPhone in America from an Apple Store and have the receipt can I return it to a Japanese Apple store? Yes it is within 30 days, I bought it July 21st, meaning it is within 15 days, as well.

I would doubt it, but there's nobody here who can speak on behalf of Apple.  Phone the Japanese store: they will know far better than us fellow users.

  • Can I use my iPhone in America

Can I use my unlocked UK iPhone in America with a local Sim card?

Yes but... The only supported GSM carrier in the U.S. is AT&T. They will  not permit the use of pre-paid SIMs on the iPhone. The only other national GSM carrier is T-Mobile. Their network is not entirely compatible with the iPhone.
If you will be here for a relatively long time, you can use an AT&T post paid monthly (not pre-paid) plan.

  • Can you buy a iPhone in America and then swap it to a Australia network?

    Hi,
My mum wants to get my sister a iPhone 4 for her 15th birthday, but she thinks buying it in Australia is a little silly, because shes going to America next month and wants to get it there because its cheaper (even though the Aussie dollars higher?) and then bring it here (unused), andd would it then be possible to set it up on a Australian network?
Any help with this question would be greatly appreciated.

I converted the US prices and the Australian prices to British pounds:  a 16GB iPhone costs around 403GBP in the US, and around 569GBP in Australia.
I can understand where the OP is coming from.... but repeat that taxes could wipe out that difference.
There is also the warranty problem. Will Apple Australia give help and repair a US Phone?
I've talked myself out of it. Buy Australian!

  • If I buy an iPhone in America, can i use him in Belgium?

I want to buy a iPhone 5 in america but furst i want to know if i can use him here

It will work if you buy a factory unlocked phone from Apple.  LTE won't work in Belgium with a  USA phone.  The warranty will not be valid outside the USA.

  • Am I Able To Buy An Iphone In America

Hey..I Live In England...And Am Going To America Soon, Would I Be Able To Buy An Iphone 3gS There? And Would It Work Here? x Thanks x

Same way if I were to buy an iphone in England & activate it on the O2 network. The only carrier that could unlock it would be O2. Even if you bought an iphone in the US & hacked it to unlock it, you couldn't activate it to hack it unless you signed a TWO YEAR CONTRACT with AT&T. AT&T does not permit pay as you go iphones on their network when setting up new service. It would be far cheaper to buy the phone in England on the O2 network & then pay to have them unlock it.

  • Bought iphone in america cant use it in UK, help?

    Hello
I bought i iphone 4s when on holiday in america.
I tried to put an o2 sim in it but it doesnt work, i can not make calls. The phone was on sprint in america i belive and they will not help me as i dont have an activie account with them.
Please someone help me I dont want to have wasted all the money for nothing.
    Thanks,
    Mark

    Sprint is a CDMA carrier.
Sprint will unlock the SIM slot for International roaming for current customers in good standing.
If you are not a Sprint customer, the phone is useless to you.

  • But iPhone in America but live in Denmark

  • HT4623 Can I buy an iphone in america and use it in europe?

    ...

Have you googled this?  You have options... Use American carrier and roam, buy an unlocked iPhone or use the Verizon iPhone 5 as it seems to have an unlocked gsm portion.  Gsm is more prevalent in Europe so make sure you have a gsm phone.

  • Buying an iphone in america and use it in europe?

im an italian exchange student and i'll come back in italy in july..
my phone is gonna die, and i would like to buy an iphone to use with my at&t gophone sim card for these months left, and then use it with my italian sim card, but i know its hard to buy one with no contract and it needs to be unlocked to be used in europe...does anyone know if i can buy one on internet that will work??

There is only TWO countries that sell Totally unlocked iPhones as they have laws on business practices
    Australia & Italy !
If you had looked at Apple's official information on this: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1937 (already posted in this thread) you would've quickly seen that the iPhone is sold unlocked in the following countries:
    Belgium
    Czech Republic
    Greece
    Italy
    Luxembourg
    Russia
    Turkey
    China
    Hong Kong
    Macau
    Malaysia
    New Zealand
    Brazil
    Ecuador
    Quatar
    Saudi Arabia
    United Arab Emirates
    South Africa
    Uganda
    Singapore
    Taiwan
    Thailand

  • Why are iPhones so much cheaper in America?

The retail price in america for the iPhone 5 is 199$ iPhone 4s 99$ and iPhone 4 is FREE in New Zealand the new iPhone 5 is 1000$ the iPhone 4s is 899$ and the iPhone 4 is 599$ apparently its because of the locked in service provider but what about unlocked iPhones, It annoys me im wasting 100's of dollars when i could just get an unlocked iPhone from america and the worst thing is the unlocked iPhones where you can put your own sim in are more expensive in New Zealand.

That is NOT the retail price. As always you need to read the fine print, those prices are for a subsidized phones with one of the US carriers and require a two year contract. The "Retail" price for a non-contract (not unlocked) iPhone 5 is $599, $699 and $799. 4s is $499.

  • Can I use a U.S.-bought iPhone 4 in other countries?

OK, here's the deal: A relative who lives in Thailand wants an iPhone 4, but they are expensive there and she wants me to buy one in America for her. I realize that to buy an iPhone, you have to sign a contract, and that's what makes the initial price cheaper ($199 with contract, vs. about $760 in Thailand unlocked). Is there a way to buy the iPhone with contract, and bring it over to Thailand to use it? Or do I have to buy it unlocked? (in which case, can I order one from the Hong Kong Apple Store and have it shipped here?)
Is it OK to buy the iPhone in America with the contract, bring it over to Thailand, and have some mobile store there unlock it?

As mentioned above, all iphone in U.S are carrier locked and cannot be unlocked officially. Whether you buy it under a contract or not, it will still be carrier locked to AT&T or Verizon.
If you want to buy it from Hong Kong Apple oneline store, you will need an address in Hong Kong for the iphone to be shipped, as they only ship inside the country, not outside of it.
Technically, factory unlocked iphone will always be expansive than the non-contract pricing, this is because there is no contract for factory unlocked iphone. Canada do sell factory unlocked iphone so if you plan on visiting Canada then you might as well buy one from there.
To answer your last question: No it is not okay to buy an iphone in U.S as it is not factory unlocked and I would not waste your money in buying one in U.S, but you can buy one in Canada.
Just keep in mind that warranty is country specific so if you happen to buy one in Canada, the warranty may not work in Thailand.

  • Updated my iPhone (thru iTunes) and now my custom ringtones are gone

Getting frustrated trying to find a solution to this problem.  Updated my iPhone 3Gs and now my PURCHASED custom ringtones are not available.    They are listed as music files in my library but no custom ringtones are listed on my iPhone.
    thanks

Your Uncle purchased a hacked iPhone from America, as there are NO officially unlocked iPhones sold in the US...none. Further, no US iPhone can be officially unlocked to work with any other carrier's sim. Updating software or restoring a hacked iPhone will re-lock the phone to the carrier it was originally locked to. That is what has happened to your phone. In your case, that would be AT&T. There is no official solution to your problem. You'll have to use Google, as discussion of how to hack an iPhone cannot be discussed here. Good luck.

  • Can I use my German Iphone in the USA?

In October I am going to stay for 15 months in New York!
My Iphone 4s is at the Moment tweo weeks old, so of course I want to take it with me.
Can I use my German Iphone in America?
And what do I need? A new contract?
    Thanks for your help

If officially unlocked, yes. Stop in any AT&T store when you get here to review your options. AT&T is the only GSM supported iPhone carrier in the US.

  • IPhone in US and in UK

The iPhone is coming out in the UK in early November, serviced by O2 in a similar way it is now being serviced by ATT/Cingular in the States. Here's my question: if I already have an iPhone in America, but spend a significant enough time in the UK (I'm a student there) that I also already keep a cell phone there that just happens to have O2 service, can I use my iPhone in both countries on both networks? I know that the SIM-lessness of the iPhone won't just let me switch out chips, but is there another way to switch networks?

The iPhone uses an AT&T SIM card, which the US phone is locked to. The UK phones will be locked to a O2 card.
While you can easily swap the sim cards in the phone, I doubt there is any way that you can have the US phone use the O2 sim without unlocking the phone and thus breaking your warranty - and most likely your phone.
