Acrobat 8 Standard page rotation stopped working

I am working with scanned documents and regularly need to rotate selected pages and save them in their proper orientation.  Yesterday I was able to do this via Document --> Rotate Pages and then save.  However today it is no longer working; I had not changed any settings.
In searching for a fix, I did select Document --> OCR Text Recognition --> Recognize Text Using OCR and it recognized all but one page that needed rotation.  I cannot rotate that one page.
Can anyone help?

I'm sorry. I just got caught up in the moment (happens to the best of us!) I'm just JefConners put his best foot forward. Can't get mad at someone for reaching out for help! Cheers everyone.

  • Acrobat Standard XI features stopped working after upgrading MS Office

We recently upgraded MS Office from 2007 to MS Office 2013 on one of our PCs that is running Adobe Acrobat XI Standard. The convert to pdf and combine to pdf functions are now generating an error when attempting to convert an excel file to a pdf that states "Sorry, we couldn't find Adobe PDF converter.xlsx. Is it possible it was moved, renamed, or deleted?" I have tried searching google, but cannot find any info on this. I have run a repair of Adobe but it has not resolved the issue. Has anyone else encountered this yet?

  • How do I fix:  "Adobe acrobat 9.5 has stopped working"

Whenever I try to open a file using Adobe Acrobat 9.5, I get the message:  "Adobe acrobat 9.5 has stopped working"  "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.  Please close the program".  Acrobat reader 9.5 appears to work fine.  I am also having problems when opening PDF files from the internet using Internet Explorer.  If I try to open a PDF file with Internet Explorer I get and error message Box which says:  "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library - Runtimr Error! - Program: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe - R6034 - An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly. - Please contact the application's support team for more information."  Then when I click OK, I get the following in IE:  "Interner Explorer has closed this web page to help protect your computer - A malfaunction or malicious add-on has cause Internet Explorer to close this webpage. - More Information - Windows Data Execution Prevention detected an add-on trying to use system memory incorrectly. This can be caused by a malfunction or a malicious add-on.  Other things you can do:  Go online to learn about the Data Execution Prevention (DEP) security feature".  I am running Windows 7 Pro version 6.1 (Build 7601, Service pack 1) and Internet Explorer 8 version8.0.7601.17514 and Adobe Acrobat 9.5 Standard.  I would give you the version but I can't keep the program open long enough to check that.  Please HELP I need Acrobat working on this computer.

Reader is not Acrobat, but I got the gist. To try to resolve the issue, open Acrobat and go to Help>Repair. Hopefully that will fix the problem.
The C++ library sometimes gets messed up and has to be reloaded. That would have to be done by way of MS.
After the repair, I would strongly recommend going back to Help>Check for Updates and install updates in order. Since you did not mention updates, I suspect you are running 9.0.0. Also, you did not mention your OS level as 32 or 64-bit. If it is a 64-bit system, you need to run the updates for AA9 to work properly.

To go along with Michael's suggestion, something like AA9.2 is needed for X64 systems I think. Also, be careful. Acrobat is not licensed for use on a server. Using it as a user is fine, but not as a server application. Read the license carefully.

After ios 7 update on ipad mini, auto rotation stop working. Anyone facing this issue too?

    for ipad,
    if you go to settings-General
You can select between using the side switch to lock rotation or mute.  If you select one mute, then the lock rotation icon will show up in the control center.  If you select lock rotation, then the mute will show up.  THe side switch is then used for the other option.

  • My Adobe Acrobat X (CS6) suddenly stopped working!

My Adobe Acrobat X (CS6) suddenly stopped working, I can't open or edit documents.  I am on Windows 8.1, this just started happening yesterday. I have re-installed it to repair any possible problems, I am a registered user. Please help me!! Can't submit my assignments if I can't use my product!

The license info would be on the jewel case or CD that you got from the university. If it was downloaded, they typically provide the license key in that process that you have to write down or copy. As long as you are still covered under the license, maybe another individual has the license key available. It would be appropriate for them to ask for confirmation on your payment of the license fee or whatever process the university has.
In the meantime, go to the Start>Control Panel>Programs & ... When the program list comes up search for Acrobat.exe and do a repair.

  • Acrobat X Pro suddently stops working

Periodically Acrobat X Pro just stops working; it won't open, either by trying to launch the program directly or opening a PDF. If I remove/reinstall it, it works fine for about a month, then stops again. I can't connect its failure to anything else (e.g., system updates) and it's frustrating. I'm running it on Windows7. I have CS6 and don't have this issue with any of the other programs. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

    Hi Dana ,
Is there any error message associated with the launch or it simply doesn't launch?
Does this happen with any specific PDF you try to launch ?
Or what you can do is go to Task Manager. Ctrl + Alt + Del and select Start Task Manager. Go to Processes. Sort by Names. Do you see Acrobat.exe on the list? If yes, please select it and click End Process. Then try to run Acrobat Pro.

  • Acrobat Standard 6 won't work with OSX Lion

I just downloaded OSX Lion and my Acrobat Standard 6 no longer works.  What to do now?  I hadn't upgraded along the way, so how can I know get an application to create pdf files on my Mac?

Acrobat 6 Standard or deluxe are PowerPC Programs. They've been runing in an emulation mode called Rosetta since OSX.6  OSX.7 Lion is pure Intel only. and Rosetta has been discontinued.
If you need PowerPC applications You are either going to have to revert back to Snow Leopard. Or buy you an external Drive install OSX 6 or lower on it and run your PowerPC apps from there.
You may discover many of the applications you depend upon if you haven't kept them upgraded have quit work as well. You can do about the same thing with standard in The Mac Directly. Standard didn't have Forms capability.
Just go to Print Menu click on PDF and choose desired PDF.  I would suggest though If you seriously want to have PDF and Forms Capability to Upgrade to AcrobatX. There is so much more you can do with PDF's than with 6 Standard.

  • Acrobat X Pro 10.1.12 (part of CS6 Design Standard) on Mac stopped working after OS upgrade to OSX 10.10

My Acrobat X Pro 10.1.12 stopped working, which I believe is related to my upgrade from OS X 10.9 to 10.10 recently.
Taking any action in a PDF document will result in an endless time-out of Acrobat Pro. The only solution is to kill the process via the operating system. I deinstalled, cleaned and reinstalled the whole CS6 suite. No change. Acrobat Pro became more or less unusable. Any ideas?
    thx

    Hello Mike Leber,
Please try un-installing and re-installing the product, it should resolve your issue.
You can follow below link to download CS 6 Design Standard and install Acrobat X Pro from the suite.

  • Acrobat 8 Professional "has stopped working" every time I close a document.

Some time ago I had a virus infection but was able to clean my computer. Before that date, Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional was working fine but since then, every time I close a document, the program closes down with the message "Acrobat 8 has stopped working". Windows will look for a solution and never finds one.
Probably, with the virus, one of the Acrobat 8 files must have been corrupted, but I have not been able to find out which one or how to repair it.
Anyone with a similar situation who can point me to the solution?
Or should I just reinstall Acrobat from scratch?
    Thanks, Hubert

    Thanks, Bill,
Tried this but my Help does not open/show the option Repair.
Online support goes to an error page...
Do you have/are there other repair options?
    Thanks.

  • Pagination - JavaScipt in "Execute when Page Loads" stop working

    I'm using APEX 4.0.
I have a standard report region on a page. In the page's JavaScript - Execute When Page Loads area, I put some javascript code there to initialize hover event handlers for dropdown menus inside the report. It works fine when the report is genarated.
But it stop working when a pagination performed. For example, after clicked 'next" or any number form the pagination dropdown list.
Please advice how to fix it. Thanks.

    Hi, Peter:
Thanks for the quick reply. That is appreciated.
My code involves only CSS and JQuery.
I have found out the reason. It is because "Enable Partial Page Refresh" was set to Yes. ( that is the default by APEX, isn't it? ). After I reset it to No, the dropdown menu does work fine after pagination.
I don't know how APEX pagination work together with report attribute "Enable Partial Page Refresh". To me, no matter what, the style sheet, the JavaScript put in page template/page header should always be included since they are common to the page. Can we say this is an APEX bug need to be fixed?
    Thanks again.

  • Acrobat 8.1.2 Stops Working When Opening a Drop-Down Dialog Box

Whenever I try to open a drop-down dialog box in Acrobat the application stops working and Vista requests that the application be closed and that I will be notified of a solution when one is available. I've experienced the problem for six months. I must now solve this problem.
I've already tried repairing the Acrobat installation without any improvement. What should I do next?

Thanks, seems to solve some of the problem, perhaps I need to uncheck more in this dialogue box...  May be 'a' correct answer but not the complete solution.  Anyway if all I need to do is uncheck a choice in a dialogue box then it must be a bug or driver incompatability as there seems to be no reason why I shouldn't be able to use 2D graphics acceleration.
Works if you highlight several PDFs in File Manager and then right click and 'Open with Adobe Acrobat', the error still occurs if I drag these files into an open instance of Acrobat beyond two files.  Also seems to be more of a problem if one of the files is a 'colour document ' or 'greyscale document' scanned by Acrobat itself.
