Do you have NVIDIA driver on your machine? Which version it is?
Upgrade the NVIDIA driver and see if that resolves your issue.

I have Adobe Acrobat installed as part of the CS6 suite.
It has stopped working (yet again -- it has done that three of four times over the last year).
I have spent days trying to repair it; etc. without any success.
The last time this happened, it was necessary for someone from Adobe to reinstall it entirely, if I remember correctly.
I give up. Can anyone tell me what I must do get the program to actually work?
I spend more time trying to get Adobe Acrobat to work, than I do actually doing my work.
My OS is Windows 8.1.  My system has 16 MB of RAM, and hard disks are not overfilled.
I run update virus checker (Kaspersky) daily.
    Cheers,
    Hugh

    Hi Hugh ,
Could you please tell what are the challenges you are facing while trying to access Acrobat ?
Do you get any error message ?If yes ,please share the screen shot of the same.
Please try the solution outlined here: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/acrobat-failed-launch-30-days.html
    OR
Try repairing it from Control panel, or try launching it with a different user account and check if it works or not.
Install the latest updates for Acrobat X from the link : http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows
    and check.
Let us know how it goes,

  • Acrobat install problems

New computer, deactivated cs4 and cs5 design premium on old computer.    Installed cs5 and cs4 on new computer.  Activated.   All applications working except acrobat 9.
It installed under CS4 and when I try to open, it asks me to open another application in the suite to activate it.  Do as it asks and nothing happens.
Printing to pdf files in all my applications ( non Adobe) are locking up.
How do I get this resolved?    Should not Acrobat install under CS5?  it does not show up as an option.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Byron

Thanks for the reply.   did a large number of uninstalls and reeinstalls of Acrobat last night and I think I got it working.    Took a series of uninstalls, reboots and reinstall from the Acrobat CD from CS5.
My initial confusion was the wrong assumption that Acrobat would install correctly from the CS5 install after installing CS4 so the upgrade to CS5 would work correctly.
I hate adding noise to forums, but maybe someone else will find this useful.
    Thanks again.
    Cheers,

Can I delete AcrobatStd_11_Web_WWMUI after adobe acrobat install?  It seems to be only the download program / extractor.  It's over 400,000 KB in my documents library folder, so I would prefer to delete it if it's not needed after install.  Thanks.

you should deactivate (help>deactivate) that installation on the old workstation.  then download and install on your new work station using your serial number.  (ie, make sure you can find your serial number - if you need help with this, let us know.)

  • Acrobat Install Error with 10.9.1

Tried installing Adobe Acrobat XI running Mac OS 10.9.1.  Received the following error: "The Installtion Failed.  The Installer encountered an error that caused the installtion to fail.  Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."  The only option left is to close the pop up at that point.

During the install press Command + L. Installer Log window appears. On top left corner of this window by default Show Errors Only is selected in dropdown list. Change it to Show All Logs. Now when the installer fails, copy log from here and paste it in this form. It will enable us to see what is the exact issue you are facing.

  • Acrobat installed on Mac, but update function fails with "..not connected to internet.."

I successfully installed Acrobat Pro version 11.0.0 on two MacBook Pro's running OS X Yosemite 10.10.3. Adobe runs and works fine, however when attempting to update to version 11.0.10, I get the following:
"Cannot download update files. Please verify that you are connected to the Internet and check for updates again later.
    Error:  1109"
The computers are definitively connected to the internet, so why doesn't this work? I completely re-installed it on one computer, but have the exact same problem. Please help.
    Thanks.

    Hi ,
The possible reasons that you are experiencing the internet connectivity issue is that either you are offline or the clock on your computer is set incorrectly .
Please check the internet connectivity ,if it is connected ,you could disconnect it once and they try reconnecting or you could adjust the clock on your system and try again .

  • Unable to open pdf after acrobat install

Have adobe reader installed, all working fine. Then installed adobe acrobat pro in order to use export to pdf capability. After some time, getting message not subscribed even though I paid for a subscription to use export pdf through acrobat.
I uninstalled acrobat from machine and contacted adobe who said the export to pdf facility in online and not something you install on a PC !!!
They talked me through using the export to pdf online and now I can't open any pdfs on my PC plus the no subscription messages still keep appearing !!!

    Hi discoveranother,
If you have already purchased Acrobat then you need not use the Export pdf Online service.
You can use Acrobat to convert pdf to .doc / xlsx /ppt files and vice versa.
    Please check : http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/pdf-to-word-doc-converter.html

  • Can't send Excel 2007 File via Send To Email Option after Acrobat Install

Normally, you can send an Excel 2007 file via email to someone by going to the Send option on the Excel file menu and choosing "Email." This will email an actual copy of the Excel 2007 file. However, since installing Adobe Acrobat  9 pro on my computer, this option, as well as the option to send to XPS are gone -- the only email option I have on that menu is to convert the file to a PDF and email it.
It seems to me that Acrobat should ADD options to menus but not remove any! Does anyone know how I can get those missing options (especially the one to email the actual file itself) back? I've tried Googling up a solution, but to no avail so far.
Thanks, in advance, for any help!
    Laura

Thanks for taking the time to respond, Aditya!
I saw that MS support article when I was trying to solve this issue on my own, but the solutions it proposes won't work for me -- I can't set Outlook as my email client (this is a work computer and we use Lotus Notes) and I can't muck around in the registry (again, this is a work computer). I know I can attach the Excel via the attach command in the email client, but the main thing is I don't understand why Acrobat has removed that option from the Excel menu. Also, it removed the Send to XPS option (which I don't really care about, but it bothers me because it shouldn't be deleting anything)!
I even tried adding the Email command to the Quick Access Toolbar in Excel -- it let me add the button, but, when I click it, absolutely nothing happens.

  • MS Word not working properly after Acrobat install

I installed Acrobat XI Pro a few days ago. Now when I open MS Word I get a constantly running "wait" icon. I can use the program minimally, but it is extremely sluggish. I tried disabling the Acrobat Addin - no difference. I tried repairing my Word program - no difference. I tried printing to Adobe PDF printer (which worked fine) and surprise, the constantly running wait icon disappeared and Word worked normally. But the next time I opened Word the problem returned. I tried removing Adobe PDF printer from my list of printers - no difference. I then went back to the original Acrobat installation. I can now use Word in a limited way if I select the Adobe PDF printer first, but my regular Canon printing program isn't functioning properly. Help please!!!  (I'm using Office 2007.)

Well I sure waited a long time for no reply from this forum... That's disappointing. However I finally found a solution. After a great deal of sleuthing on Adobe, Microsoft and Canon websites, it turned out the updating my Canon printer driver did the trick. I'll leave this note here in case anyone else has a similar problem one day.

  • PDF file association changes to use Acrobat after Acrobat installed

    Hi,
I have packaged a silent installation of Acrobat X Professional using the Customisation wizard.  We have to make Reader the default viewer (without using a script after the install).  No matter which option I select for the default viewer in the customisation tool (as shown below), Acrobat X Professional becomes the default viewer.  I am trying to add or modify the installer database table so that it leaves the current association with Reader.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Simon

    Hi,
That has done the trick, thanks!  I found yesterday I could also use LEAVE_PDFOWNERSHIP=YES on the command line to achieve the result, however we wanted to add to the Property table of the MST.  In the case of LEAVE_PDFOWNERSHIP=YES this did not seem to work, but with IW_DEFAULT_VERB=Read it is working well.
    Thanks again,
    Simon

  • Word 2003+Acrobat 6: Page # became {Page} after Acrobat installed. What's the fix

As soon as I installed Acrobat 6, all page numbers on my printouts (every printer and every PDF) changed to "{page}". They look fine in the file, but are lost in the print preview. I had the issue on one machine, moved the .doc file to another one. Printed fine. Loaded Acroba 6.0. Ooops!!! Page numbers are now {page}. I uninstalled Acrobat on the test machine (using the Adobe disk). The pagination issue remains. What's the problem-do I have some settings wrong? How can it be resolved? If it can't be fixed, Is there a macro lurking after the uninstall that I should delete so I my hard copy printing (and print preview in Word) has page numbers again? Thanks.

Are other special Word fields like the {link], {TOC}, etc behaving the same way?
Have you checked Word's 'tools' to see if you are printing or displaying the hidden fields?

This is a copy of ONEof the keys  in the registry I changed  as told by Apple support today. I also have changed others as instructed by GEAR  software support to manually delete GEAR drivers (that I had installed but couldn't delete some of the others  they mentioned from Windows system 32. Then some bright spark at work told me I need the Gear drivers so  I downloaded the software and installed again.
Sorry, just this minute went to insert image  and it is giving me a message saying this sort of content  is not allowed?.
