Acrobat 9 Pro Forms... new method, I don't think I'm comfortable with!

I installed 9 last week, and yesterday went into a previous form to edit some fields. And I could not for the life of me find the forms tool bar! I was able to edit the form, by using the arrow and clicking on the spot. So I got through that.
Now this am I am creating a whole new form. Do you think I can find that **** form toolbar. I believe it just does not exsist! What I have found is that when I went to the menu under forms i went to "Add or Edit Fields", which changes the window. Then I had to go pick the tool and use it, then pick the tool again to use it... How annoying! then I saw the check box to "keep the tool selected", tried that but then it does not let go and allow you to size the box, i suppose if you were doing the exact size it thought you needed it would be great, but very often I have to resize all the lines.
I can see there is some things I might like, but right now I am finding not having a forms tool bar in my main window extremely frustrating.
I must mention that I ALSO tried the form wizard, and it does work way way better than it did in 8. So maybe I just have to change my ways

JS is case-sensitive and there's no such thing as "If". You need to use "if"

Install it on the new machine, if you have run out of Activations then you will probably need to contact Adobe and explain what happened as far as the old computer crash and burning.

Thanks, I was thinking so. I installed my CS4 from a CD in 2008, and it looks like Adobe has taken another approach to selling their products. I'll be downloading CC Photoshop a little later today.

Can't select CMYK text colour for text fields in Acrobat Pro forms?

I have designed a business card template in Indesign, and now want to use Acrobat Pro to add in text fields so that a client can edit the contact details on the cards in future.
I need to select a specific text colour for the fields, so that it matches the rest of the design. The cards will obviously need to be printed and the document has been set up in CMYK, but when I enter the CMYK colour breakdown in the Properties > Text Colour panel, it won't apply the colour to that field. The text either stays at the default black, or reverts to RGB - which isn't suitable for printing and doesn't match the colour I need.
Can anybody PLEASE shed some light on this? Other similar posts have either not been answered or people have suggested JavaScript..? I have no idea what I'm supposed to do with a JS code..? Surely there's an easier explanation?

This is for a text field that you create in Acrobat, whether the form is used offline or online. The script is a custom Format script, which you can place by bringing up the Properties dialog for the field, select the Format tab, set a format category of Custom, and you should see where you can enter the script. Change the string "Instructional text goes here" to the text you want to display when the field is blank.

Acrobat Pro form getting MAPI spooler error

I have a form created in Acrobat Pro. The users are using Reader 9.3.1. When the user clicks the Submit button, they get a MAPI Spooler error. For some Windows Services closes Reader. Any thoughts on what is causing this and how to fix?

You might be able to download the trial version of the software thru the sitee linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it. Search the various Creative Suite sections for whichever version it is.

I need to reactivate ACROBAT PRO on new hard drive

I've read all the similar questions and responses from users and ADOBE web responders and determined the agrivating circular nature of the adobe's direction. Why is this so hard and why is ADOBE so unhelpful. This should be so easy. Why agrivate customers and owners of these products ?
ADOBE, please just provide the contact infomration in your resposne to resolve the issue. Please do not direct me into the infernal loop.

OK today, five days after this post;
Lot's of perseverance which included some pretty frustrating wait times and disconnects on the 1800 833-6687 support number over the last couple of days. Today I finally got to speak with an Indian Tech gentleman. He spent 20 minutes on the line with me and was able to reset my activation for both my ADOBE products (PSE 9 and ACROBAT Pro 9). Fantastic help and so cordial and respectful.

Can I use a buisness version of Adobe Acrobat Pro on a computer that has already an active adobe ID with personal (non buisness versions) programms?

I have an Abode ID with Photoshop for private use.
For work I need an updated version of Adobe acrobat pro.
But how can I get it to work on the same computer?
Can I add a buisness version to the Adobe (private) ID?
Or can I use 2 adobe ID's at the same time?

I don't think there are such things as business and non-business versions of software as far as Adobe is concerned. How you manage the installations of the software you purchase from them is your call. If there is some protocol for doing this that is defined by your workplace then you should inquire with whomever manages that protocol.

Acrobat 9 Pro Forms - Conditional (If) statements don't work!

Trying to calculate a value via Custom Calculation Script. I've tried this numerous ways... I can set the event.value but even the simplest conditional statement is
ignored.
Here's the current version (using Diff as a value holder)

FYI, the following also doesn't work properly - gives zero every time

Acrobat Pro 9 - new update gave new pop up

I just updated my pro 9 version with an auto update for today... I now get a pop up window that prompts me when I am closing out of document that gives me three options:
1)     close this document without removing information
2)     Remove this information and do not close document
3)     Remove information and then close document
Is this referencing the text fields (ex. if I forgot to clear form as I was testing out what I have created in my fillable form)
      or does it reference my form fields that I have edited ( the 2nd layer - 1st layer being the original form sent to me for converting into fillable pdf) or both?
I have been choosing 1 to be safe, but was just wondering if anyone else gets this pop up and what 'information" it might be referring to in this new pop up.

Installing acrobat pro to new computer without disk drive

i recently purchased a new mac that does not have a disc drive. i'd like to install adobe acrobat from the disk that i purchased with my old computer. how do i do this? possible to get a download code to do from online?

You could copy the contents of that DVD to a Flash drive and then copy those contents from the Flash drive to your desktop of your new Mac. You could also download the ESD (Electronic Service Download ) of your version of Acrobat from the links below and then install it.

Acrobat Pro Form Creation Question

I have created a form for myself and other employees to fill out and save the completed form. Is there a way to set the form that once the form is filled and you push save, that you can only save as a new file name and not actually save and overwrite the original saved form?

You could lock the file or if you are a Mac only environment you could mark it as stationery.
