[Acrobat Plugin] How to hide annots and uncheck text indicators and tooltips programmatically?

I am using C++ developing a plugin for Windows Acrobat Professional 11.
I want to do following things:
1) hide and show annots on pages
2) check and uncheck Edit|Preferences|Commenting Enable text indicators and tooltips
I know both these are already done by Acrobat, but I just want to make a dialog and help my customers to these in same place.

There is not methods to change visibility of annot on PD layer and PDAnnot object.
2.
I have checked AVAppSetPreference, there are only three keys about annots(AVPrefsD.h), they are
- AVP(avpShowHiddenAnnots, ASBool)
- AVP(avpShowAnnotSequence, ASBool)
- AVP(avpPrintAnnots, ASBool)
none of these change that setting. and I looked for tooltip, even no keys contain "tooltip"

In order to display custom training PDF, an alternative approach could be to make use of workbench channel "Links". You can store the custom PDF on intranet and display the link under links channel.

Can you please tellme where can we fine UWL iView? I tried to find this out in two ways.
1) Portal Content -> Content Provided by SAP -> End User Content -> Standard Portal Users -> Views -> com.sap.coll.iviews -> Universal Worklist (finally i got this iView). Here i dint find any property called "List of UWL Actions to exclude". In the link which you had given, its written that we can modify the iView and add the name of the actions under the Actions to exclude from the UWL property.
Which iView do we need to modify and where can i find that property?
2) I downloaded the xml file and then tried to find this property "List of UWL Actions to exclude" or " Actions to exclude from the UW". But i couldnt find both the properties in xml file.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
* "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
* "Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

How to hide the cursor in text entry boxes

I didn't see this answer in the forum, and it took a while to figure this out so I thought I'd post my
solution.
The issue is that a question requires that the user know where to click before typing, then type the correct value.
The problem is that a text entry field shows the cursor; a dead give-away as to where the user is supposed to type.
My solution is:
1) Hide the text entry box (give it a name and uncheck 'Visible' in the options).
2) Add a transparent button (with default text if needed) over the area where the user must click.
- Set the 'Success' option to 'Show', and make the 'Show' item the name of your text entry box.
- Disable all captions (unless they get points for clicking in the right place).
3) Set the object timing so the button displays until clicked, then end the button display. Start the display of the text entry field immediately after the end of the button display.
The effect is that the user clicks the correct area, then the cursor displays in the correct location, ready for the text entry.

Updated and contacts,texts,calander and photos gone

I am pretty well at my wits end with this update BS. Tons of issues with my wife's 3GS that the store had to fix and now after updateing my 4 I am about done with the whole iphone thing. I performed a backup prior to updateing, the back up is there, even shows in the list. None of my contacts or anything are on the phone. When I try to restore from back up it tells me it could not be done because of an unknown error. I try to use and older back up and I get the same thing. As if having to try 3 different computers before even getting a usable phone was bad enough, this has me ready to throw the phone in the trash and go with a droid. Any ideas on how to get this mess to work or am I just screwed and lost every contact since I see absolutely nothing from Apple on how to solve a problem they caused. Thanks.

If the backup file is there, I think you have a good chance of recovering your contacts etc...
Before you try anything else, I would make a copy of the backup files you have and place those copies in a safe place (just in case iTunes overwrites or erases backup files it currently has).
To find out where iTunes store those backup files see this link.
With that done, you can try reinstalling iOS 5 (if you haven't already done so) and after that try to restore again from the backup file you want (in iTunes). Maybe the first time around, there was some glitch in the update.
If you still get the error, does the "unknown error" give you any other information like a code or a "more info" button?
As a last resort to at least recover your data, you can try extracting the information from a backup file. There is a free program to do this. More information here for PC.

Update to FF 23 changed resolution from 1600x900 to 1280x720, increased window size, and made text big and images and videos blurry

After upgrading to ff 23 from ff21 on my Windows 8 ultrabook laptop, the browser window blew up to fill the entire screen. Web pages stopped displaying properly - text is big, but images are blurry, including those on the ff toolbar, and videos are pixelated and unviewable.
I tried the layout.css.devPixelsPerPx fix - it didn't work. The text became unreadably small instead.
I noticed that javascript window resolution in Firefox 23 is showing a resolution of 1280x720 instead of the 1600x900 that it should be. How do I get FF 23 to display in 1600x900 resolution?

Yes, the screen.width and screen.height are adjusted for the device pixel ratio based on your zoom level. (Demo page: [http://dev.jeffersonscher.com/resolution.html])
It sounds as though your Firefox 23 is picking up a Windows setting of 125% zoom. If you change layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to 1.0, Firefox should display at your display's native resolution instead of your Windows resolution (100% instead of 125%). This will indeed make the text in the toolbar area a lot smaller, but the content area should look the same as Firefox 21. Does it look a lot different? How much zoom (e.g., Ctrl+) is needed to make it look like you remember?
Meanwhile, you can use this extension to adjust the toolbar area if you stick with the 1.0 setting: [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/theme-font-size-changer/ Theme Font & Size Changer]. Clicking its icon and changing the font size from "Normal" to 14 or 15 usually works pretty well. Once you re done with your adjustments, you can use the Customize feature to take its icon off the toolbar. ([[Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars]])

One is the Settings > Sounds

Great Advice given earlier by SuzyQ - I believe the question not asked of you is ---what do you want to pay for the services that you need. I think that it would narrow the groups suggestions if you could narrow your needs.
For example: I need talk and text on 4 phones and some data say, 2 Gig, on only one of the phones. what plan is the best cost for me? You may also need to ask what the cost may be to switch to a different plan. I suspect that there will be no cost within Verizon-but ask anyway.
I do not think that you can have a smart phone on any Verizon plan unless you agree to buy data for that phone. Also, you said that wifi is often available-however, I do not believe that Verizon allows talking over wifi without consuming airtime minutes-only data over wifi avoids your allowance to be impacted.
As most here already know, several other service providers offer wifi-friendly service (talk/text/data) that will provide home/business/restaurant service without impacting your allowance- just not here.
After getting some suggestions here, call 611 and confirm availibility and price.

How to trigger based play a text, video and animated symbol

I have an animated text followed by a video followed by animated symbol. I have a next button with the following commands
sym.getSymbol("slide").play();
sym.play();
The problem:
I can go next from the text to the video but have to wait till the video finishes playing then the symbol comes in automatically. if i click next while the video is playing. The animation progresses in the symbol and it misses the starting animation.
What i want is while the video is playing and i click next the video stops and the slide starts to play.

I was facing another issue.
As you can see in the test project. There is a video. It has a simple opacity at the end. When i enable controls for the video and pause and play in the browser to see specific parts. but what happens is that the video fades out when the playhead reaches that point and other slides fade in.
What i want to do is when the pause button is pressed in the video, the playhead stops and only when the video has ended or the next button clicked, the next slide appears.
Can you please tell me how to achieve this ?

How to get applet to load text file and use it

The applet is loaded from my site and the short text file is updated by a perl script in my cgi-bin, which is called whenever someone loads the html that loads my applet.
The text file is just a counter string and I'd like to use it to display #.gif's at a certain place on the applet window (no problem there if I can get the text file into the applet).
How would I get the applet to load the text file into a string or array?
It has a running thread and I'd like it to update it periodically.

I believe you can do that with Class.getResourceAsStream.
Or you can do it explicitly with java.net.* stuff.

How to output strings to an text file and excel file

Hi guys,
I am writing a simple application taht process some string inputs from user using a simple GUI. The GUI consists of a series of
textfields which the user can enter names, age, addresses....etc
Once they complete filling up that GUI form, they click SUBMIT. All the values will then be read. These strings are then required to be output to 2 files
1. To a text file which I can open it and read it anytime I wish.
2. To an excel file which follows a specific format. That is, all names will be written to column B, all ages will be written to column C...etc
The programme is expected to keep running allow the user to enter details of multiple persons(some 300 sets of data of different persons) until he clicks on End program.
Please advise how I can output the strings to
1. Text file
2. Excel file.

Dont try to write the real excel format (if you want
to do it soon).
- write data to a plain text file.
- Use tab stops for separation of values.
- Name file as excel file. (*.xls)
If you double click this file, excel will import data
and insert it to a table in the right order by
itself.
Excel can save this as real .xls now.
Anyone here with a better idea? (Try to learn by
myself)good thing to know for the excel tip :)
