Acrobat reader 9 pro

Hello,
who knows where I can find on Acrobat Reader 9 Pro exemplary prensentation (work sheet) for brochuers etc.?
I am looking for something like from MAC pages or iWork  also for the PC.
Thanks for information
Werner

There is no product called Acrobat Reader 9 Pro. The is Adobe Reader (which only views and prints pdf files) and Adobe Acrobat Pro (which also creates, and can alter pdf files). You cannot really compare Mac pages or iWork for a Mac with Acrobat. The closest thing to the iWork for the Mac is either Microsoft Office (commercial) or Open Office (open source).

  • Open a pdf file with Acrobat Reader/Pro from a https site using ie

    Hi!
    I somehow don't manage to open a pdf file directly with Acrobat Reader/Pro when trying to open it from a https site and using ie8.
    With http sites everything works just fine.
    Are there any settings to enable this with https sites?
    Greetings

    Reader is a different product

  • I NEED MULTIPLE SYSTEM LICENSE FOR ACROBAT READER PRO. HOW CAN I BUY. HOW MUCH FOR THAT

    I NEED A MULTIPLE PC LICENSE FOR ACROBAT READER PRO. HOW CAN BUY. HOW MUCH FOR THAT.

    Reader is free. If you want multiple licenses for Acrobat, you have to discuss this with Acrobat. The Adobe Store gives pricing for up to 9 licenses. Volume license require talking to Adobe, not other users.

  • Problem installing Acrobat Reader Pro in Mavericks

    Acrobet keeps crashing and I get "configuration error 16." I have deinstalled and reinstalled, but still doesn't work. I'm working on a new MacBook Air 11" with Mavericks and this is a first installatoin. I had no problem on my old MacBook Air 13" also with Mavericks.

    Thank you for the reply. I'm afraid I was unclear - it's a problem with Acrobat XI Pro, not Acobat Reader. My mistake. The link you provided was just for Reader. Let me know if you have any other suggestions.

  • Acrobat Reader Pro 8.2.4  cannot be launched

    Hi,
    Please redirect me to the apprpriate place if there were disussions an solution(s) cione posted
    System: XP Pro, SP3;
    Adobe CS3 Suite ; Reader pro 8.2.4 (as a part of a Suite)
    After that latest auto-updated to 8.2.4 the Acrobat Reader was screwd up
    All other components of the Suite are working fine
    There are a lot of noise about the similar issue in Mac forum(s)
    The thing cannot be repared here the same way as it is reported for Mac
    Neither repair nor reinstallation works on XP Pro as well
    Are you going to relies a patch in order to fix your bug ?
    I've seen that the special <>.dmg patch for Mac was released, but I cannot find anythihg regarding XP
    Thank you  in advance

    Hi Ankit_Jain
    Thanks for the reply
    well, - yes Acrobat Pro as a part  of CS3
    At the same time I am surprized that you are asking since the title contains the main part of a crash message
    and there are hundreds of entries & discussions all over the Net … mainly in Mac forums that's why I came here because I am on XP
    since I just recently and unfortunately updated via auto-update (answering your question) the same way other users did
    ... so basically you gotta be kidding me or what?

Arme Welt...

    Oh, ich hab sogar eine Benachrichtigung erhalten. Scheint wohl voreingestellt zu sein. Danke dennoch!

  • PEASE HELP Can't install Acrobat reader pro

    I had a free copy of acrobat pro that ran out and I bought the creative suite that includes it from the school bookstore. I'm trying to install it and it won't install the whole program, but just updates the old free trial. Then when I open it it tells me it has expired and wants the serial number before I can use it. So I type in the serial number the company gave me when when I bought my software but it says it is invalid. I need to hand in an important assignment in school using the adobe pro and I'm at a loss as to what to do.

    Hi, I have similar situation here.
    Basically, I have problem with the version Arcobat Pro Extend Trial version.
    I have been using version 4 pro for a long time, and interested to find out what the main difference between the pro and the extend version.
    Unfortunately, my system crashed during the installation, the installer was copying files to the system. After I did a reset/restart the system, I try the installing again. I would not let me install. It would stop on the screen which ask me to install as trial or enter s/n. When I click trial, it would not response, as if I didn't click it.
    I tried the Windows installer cleaner, it didn't work.
    Thanks for John T Smith's hint, the Clean Script to Remove Adobe CS3, link. After I ran it, it allows me to install again.
    a lot of thanks

    Hallo,
    I hope somone can help me with script.
    I need an editable PDF file that  have two text field. text field1 have price, text field2  shoud be calculate automaticly monthly payment,
    Example:
    if the price in  filed1:100-300 $---------------shoud be in field2  $10/monthly.
    if the price in  filed1:301-349 $------------shoud be in field2  $11/monthly.

    event.value = 10;
    break;
    case (nPrice >= 301 && nPrice < 350) :
    // price is greater than or equal to 301 and less than 350
    event.value = 11;
    break;
    case (nPrice >= 350 && nPrice < 400) :
    // price is greater than or equal to 350 and less than 400
    event.value = 12;
    break;
    case (nPrice >= 400 && nPrice < 450) :
    // price is greater than or equal to 100 and less than 301
    event.value = 13;
    break;
    default:
    // all other prices
    event.value = "";
    break;

    Hi
    I've a big problem with adobe acrobat reader XI pro and I hope you can help me.
    The problem is; when I past copied text from some pdf books (not all of them) it past symbols only! wherever I past it! and even if I coped that text from another pdf reader (adobe pdf reader, internet browsers, ...etc.).
    This problem started to happen since yesterday when I installed adobe acrobat reader XI pro to try it before I buy it, and before that when I was using the free adobe pdf reader I was totally able to copy any text from any pdf and past it anywhere with nothing wrong.
    What can I do?
    thank you a lot.

    There is no product called Adobe Acrobat Reader Pro. There is
    - Adobe Acrobat Pro ($$)
    - Adobe Reader (free)
    Which do you have? And are you a programmer?

  • Native Mac alternative to Adobe Reader Pro

    Hello people,
    I'm looking after an alternative to Adobe Acrobat Reader Pro, through which i can create custom forms with fixed text and text fields (that not only can accept text input but in some cases show possible options from drop down menus) kinda like a smart PDF form.
    I don't like using Adobe products at all and pretty much have a grudge on Adobe. The alternative doesn't really even need PDF support but if it can export to PDF that might be a plus. I use PDFPen Pro but that doesn't do what i explained above.
    Was also looking at Filemaker (yes i know it's a DB app) in a possible conjunction with PDF Manipulator plugin but i don't think that will help me do what i need to accomplish. The end goal would be to create a dozen PDF, or whatever format, forms that can simplify the work in my small business, since we do work with a lot of repetitive documents that need change only in some small parts.
    Do you guys have any idea?
    Thanks

    There's no such thing as Adobe Reader Pro. There is Adobe Acrobat, which creates PDFs and Adobe Reader which reads PDFs. Finding an alternative to Acrobat might be difficult in that Adobe owns the PDF format. PDFPen is the only one I've heard of, but I'm not really in the market for that software.
    If you are looking for another format to use in-house, that may be possible, but I don't know of any.
    I have worked in the Air Force for over 20 years. In that time I've seen them go through various iterations of Form creation and filling software. Every time I've had to ask myself, "why don't we just use Acrobat?" I don't know if it is a licensing thing, but we license all of Microsoft, so I'm not sure that's the answer.
    An in-house database solution would likely work for the small number of forms you need. So would Mail Merge in Word. You can create fill-in forms in Word, also. It will do dropdown menu selections, check boxes, etc.

  • Database connection is not working in Free Acrobat Reader

    Hi,
    I am working on a pdf that imports data from an sql server. I got it working flawlessly in livecycle and in Acrobat Reader Pro. But in Free acrobat reader it makes an index error on the click event on the button that runs the javascript for getting a record.
    I applied reader extension from Acrobat Reader Pro, but never the less it won't work.
    My question: Does Free Acrobat Reader support this kind of database lookup with RE enabled.
    I have tried both with formcalc and javascript. Both works in livecycle and the pro version of acrobat reader.
    I am only working on the client side and do not utilize livecycle server.
    example code:
    var nIndex = 0;
    while(xfa.sourceSet.nodes.item(nIndex).name != "Dataforbindelse"){nIndex++;}
    var oDB = xfa.sourceSet.nodes.item(nIndex).clone(1);
    oDB.nodes.item(1).query.setAttribute("text", "commandType");
    oDB.nodes.item(1).query.select.nodes.item(0).value = "SELECT * FROM [Wennstrom Fuel Systems DK$Service Header] WHERE [No_] = '458SV0"+form1.main.NavID.rawValue+"'";
    oDB.open();
    oDB.close();
    The java error:
    GeneralError: Operation failed.
    XFAObject.item:2:XFA:form1[0]:main[0]:Button7[0]:click
    Index value is out of bounds

    Hi andrewpweyrich
    What is the version of Adobe Reader You're using ?

  • How do I upload Adobe Reader 9, Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, and other tools with the Pro onto my new computer?

         Since I am already a customer of Adobe, I need to know how to upload Adobe Reader 9, Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, and the other tools that go with both programs onto my new Windows 7 HP computer without having to fill out a new customer form or without having to pay for another Adobe membership as a new member?  I need to know what to do step-by-step so that I can upload my Adobe reader 9, Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, and the other tools for the Reader and the Acrobat XI Pro.
         You may send the step-by-step instructions to my e-mail address of [email address removed by host].
         Thank you!

    I have been trying to start my subscription again for my Acrobat XI Pro and for the annual subscription of the PDF Export for Word and Excel.  The PDF Export expired according to my subscription list, but, I think that I had cancelled my Acrobat XI Pro of $ 29.99 monthly, so, I am wanting to presubscribe for it again, but, when I try to put my Code in for my Debit Card, it will not register with your company.
    So, I do not know what to do to get it back again with my monthly and annually subscription payments for PDF Export and for Acrobat XI Pro.  I have already downloaded the Adobe Reader XI onto my computer so I am set for that product.  I just do not know what to do about the PDF Export and the Acrobat XI Pro to be able to get them started once again.

  • I cannot open this PDF file in Acrobat 8 Pro or in Acrobat Reader on Windows 7 64-bit

    I have a PDF file that I could open on my Windows XP 32-bit laptop in Acrobat 8 Pro or in Acrobat Reader.  I then upgraded to a Windows 7 64-bit laptop.  But now in Win7-64, I cannot open this same file using the same apps (Acrobat 8 Pro & Acrobat Reader XI).
    When I try to open it in Acrobat 8, it does not load and instead a popup windows appears saying -
    Adobe Updater
    Some components needed to complete this operation are missing but information about them may be available on the Adobe website. Would you like to search the Adobe website for the missing components?
    And I can choose either the OK or Quit buttons.  When I click OK, a web browser starts and goes to this website -
    http://www.adobe.com/special/adobe_update_manager/?type=Filter&name=FOPN_foweb&version=0.0 .0.0&lang=en_US&os=Windows&osver=6.1.7601&appid=acrobat8pro-en_US&cpu=intel
    This webpage says -
    Adobe Update Manager
    Adobe cannot locate the requested plugin. New plugins will be listed on this page. Currently there are no plugins.
    So now I am stuck, no direction to go.  I am left without any solution from Adobe for Acrobat on this file.
    When I try to open this PDF file in Reader, it does not load and instead a web browser is spawned loading the webpage -
    http://plugin.fileopen.com/Default.aspx?bhcp=1
    This is the FileOpen Plug-in for Adobe Acrobat/Reader, which prompts to -
    Please click OK to download the FileOpen Plug-in Installer for Adobe Acrobat/Reader
    I click on OK, download and run the Installer file, accept the terms, and installed the FileOpen Client (x64) B928.  Upon completion, it prompts to Finish.  But it does not automatically bring Reader up or try to load the file.  So I try again to load the PDF file into Reader.  But once again, the file does not load and the web browser is spawned loading the same FileOpen Plug-in Installer link.  I click OK again, and start the same FileOpen Client process.  This time, it recognizes that I have FileOpen Client installed, and the window gives me two choices, Repair or Remove.  So since I apparently need this Plug-in, I choose Repair.  The process seems to complete the Repair.  But when I try to load the file, it still brings me back to the FileOpen Plug-in webpage.  So now I am stuck again, and left without any solution from Adobe for Reader on this file.
    I tried Adobe support.  But apparently Adobe does not support past releases of their products (Acrobat 8), and also does not give free support for the current version of their free products (Reader XI).
    Can this be fixed?

    How is Acrobat 8 not fully Windows 7 compatible?  I see discussions on this Adobe Community saying how Acrobat 8 does work on Windows 7 and with 64-bit.  It appears that if Acrobat 8 is updated to the latest version, then this should fix AA8-Win7 issues.  And I am at the latest AA8 version, 8.3.1.
    And how are Acrobat 8 and Reader XI are not compatible?  I have always had Acrobat and Reader installed on the same PC, without ever having any issues.  And Adobe allows the installation of one after the other.  So apparently Adobe allows them both to exist together.  If they are incompatible, then why would Adobe allow them to exist together?
    Anyway, I did uninstall the FileOpen Plug-in and the Reader XI, then reinstalled the FileOpen Plug-in.  So now Reader is not installed and only Acrobat 8 is installed.  I then tried to load the PDF file, but I still get the Acrobat 8 error described above.

  • Pdf form created in Acrobat 9 Pro Extended does not function properly when viewed by Reader

    Hello all-
    I have created a form in Acrobat 9 Pro Extended and have an issue because when others view the form in Adobe Reader some of the functions do not work- such as the attach a file button I created, or the save, print buttons (all are execute a menu item). These work on my Acrobat 9 Pro Extended but not on Reader.
    I have tried saving many different versions- with security (password) and made sure to allow printing and commenting, editing, digital signatures etc...
    Without any security...
    Even tried extending features in Adobe Reader!
    The response from others is that it all works, except the ATTACH A FILE button- when they click on it it compresses, but, nothing happens!
    I don't know what else to do! (I guess people could just attach things to the e-mail that is generated from the submit button, but worried people might forget at that step once they are past that section on the form and they jump to email to submit).
    Help please!
    A.

    I've already extended the rights and made sure to save to activate that... as well as password protected the docs etc... still nothing...
    I am aware that those with Basic Adobe Reader need rights extended to be able to use functions available to Adobe Pro.

  • Acrobat Pro 8.1.12 and Acrobat Reader 9.0 crashing when trying to print

    The subject line says it all, but I upgraded my MacBook Pro to Leopard 10.5.5 and now when I select File | Print I get the spinning beach ball than Acrobat crashes. Now oddly, if I use Acrobat Reader 7.0.9, it prints perfectly. But have Acrobat Pro 8.1.12 crash every time the File | Print is selected is a major problem. And no, not even the dialog box comes up first, Acrobat just goes down.
    Has anyone else seen this? I saw in the forum others were have problems creating PDF's, something I haven't done yet.

    Try the following: (I have no idea if it will help but might be worth a shot.
    Its possible That you need to update the driver shown in Printer Utility.
    Locate Adobe PDF 8.0 (what evr the latest version is.
    Now delete from Printer Utilities List, and quit Printer Utility.
    Now open Acrobat 8.1.2 and go to help menu.
    Now choose reapir or Replace.
    uncheck PDFViewer and check Adobe PDF
    Now click okay to repair.
    If you have acrobat 9. all previous acrobat versions will work with the Adobe PDF 9.0 Driver just fine. It just will not try to use new features added since 9.0.
    Also, It possible that your Print Driver for your printer has been updated with the new Sysytem Upgrade.
    If so remove the printer listed from the Printer Utility List.
    the click on add printer. look for the driver for your printer listed choose make default then quit.
    Try Acrobat 8 again and then go to set up menu see if you can find your printer listed. is so choose and save as default.
