Acrobat X Standard Bookmarks - How do I make the Zoom Level action default to "Fit Page" when combining to one pdf?

Acrobat X Standard Bookmarks - How do I make the Zoom Level action default to "Fit Page"?
When I combine multiple pdf files into a single binder, Acrobat creates a bookmark for each file.  In the properties for each bookmark, there is an action created to go to the page in the document and has the zoom level at "fit width".  Question is, how do I change this apparent default zoom level to "fit page" when Acrobat creates the bookmarks when combining the pdf files?

Is there a way to do it in one step instead of individually on each bookmark?  This gets VERY cumbersome when I have upwards of a hundred bookmarks to change.

I made an account just to "like" your comment and say that you are a god among men.
I've been searching for hours about how to make the zoom level persistent throughout following links in various PDF's I have, and most sources were saying to just buy acrobat pro and edit the bookmarks manually with it.
I saw that it was possible to write an application to change the property, and considered doing it after the only pre-existing custom application I could find was asking for $50.
Thanks to you, I no longer have to worry about re-zooming every time I click a bookmark, and I'm not out $50 or the time it would take to code an app myself!
From the bottom of my heart, thank you!

  • How do I make the UK Safari my default browser when I log on ?

Excuse me if this sounds stupid, but Im on broadband and and when I log onto Safari I get the USA version, so if I want to go to the Store page I get prices in dollars, which means I then have to go to a bookmark for the Apple Store UK to get what I want. So heres my problem:
    1. Am I correct that there is a UK Safari browser and if so
    a) Is it identical to the USA Safri browser with news etc
    b) How would I make the UK version my default bowser ?
As usual hope this makes sense !
    Albert

    Albert,
Although some default bookmarks may be specific to the U.S., Safari is generally not country specific. User modification is simply a matter of entering your preferences or deleting unwanted bookmarks.
If you want the UK store as your "Home page", open Safari>Preferences...>General>and paste http://www.apple.com/uk/ into the "Home page:" field.
    ;~)

  • How do I make the Nook application my default reader on my IPad?

How do I make the Nook application my default reader on the IPad?

I have the same question and I don't see an answer.  I have downloaded the Nook for iPad.  I purchased a book and when I tried to download it, it asked me to download it into iBooks.  When I contacted B&N their suggestion was to make sure that iBooks was not set as my default for books.  When I went into the user guide I found nothing to help me change this option.  I have sinced received my download from B&N (two days later it just appeared in my nook app on my iPad) but since then I've purchased and tried to download 3 more books from B&N and the same things happens.  Should I just get rid of the iBooks app?

  • How do I set the zoom level to automatically Fit to Window?

As I open new pages, or access links, the zoom level always reverts to 100%. How do I get it to automatically set to "Fit to Window" ?

The Firefox Page Zoom feature does a domain by domain level of saving the users preferred zoom level settings, there is no default Page Zoom level setting in Firefox.
Try the Default FullZoom Level extension: <br />
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6965
Or the NoSquint extension: <br />

  • Numbers 3.2 on Mavericks - How do you make the Stepper Function cells default to "0" instead of "1"?

In Numbers 3.2 using Mavericks 10.9.3
The Stepper funtion fills the cells with a "1", after I have set the Minimum value to "0".
How do I get the cells to be filled with "0" automatically?
Even a "Blank/Empty" cell would be fine (better) with me, but not a "1'.
I want to use the Stepper Function in a spread-sheet.
I have 270 cells I want to use it in.
Here are the options I've selected:
Select the Cells (270 of them),
Set Data Format Option to "Stepper"
    Set Minimum to "0"
    Set Maximum to "250"
    Set Increment to "1"
    Set Format to "Number"
    Set Decimals to "0"
With the above options set, all 270 cells are automatically filled with a "1", not a "0"
    like you might expect.
I tried selecting all 270 cells and hitting "0", nuthin.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Boomer II

    HI Boomer,
You'll get more responses to this Numbers 3.2 question in the Numbers for Mac community than here in AppleWorks. I've requested the hosts transfer it there.
    Have you tried:
    Select one cell.
    Format as described.
    Set its value to zero.
    Select the cell. Copy.
Add the other 269 cells to the selection. Paste.
Not tested, as I don't have N3.2 installed.
    Regards,
    Barry

  • How to I stop the Preview Pane in Windows 7 retaining control when I open a PDF document using Adobe Acrobat (Reader is NOT installed)

I have the preview pane active when selecting PDF Documents.  When I open a PDF document I am unable to save any changes. the error message I receive:
"The documents could not be saved. The file ma be read-only,or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name of in a different folder"
The document is not read only and no other user has it open.  If I turn the preview pane OFF there is no problem saving changes.  I have also un-installed Adobe Reader.
Other programs (such as Excel, Word) do not experience the same problems as the PDF documents.
    Does anyone have a solution?

    Hi snoreaustralia,
It sounds like you just need to associate the PDF filename extension with Acrobat, rather than Preview. Please see this document from the Microsoft Help for instructions on choosing the default program for opening a particular file type (in your case, PDF): Change which programs Windows uses by default - Windows Help

  • How do I make the system clock visible on all screens - including when I am in full screen mode

New to the Mac OS . . . I want a clock that persists.  Yes I can mouse near the top and see the clock but I have to move the cursor each time I want to see the clock.
I tried a few floating clocks - but none of the ones I tried are visible in full screen mode.
Is there a setting in Mavericks that will make the clock visible all the time?
    Thanks.

Your best bet might be to set up the clock in Dashboard so you just have to press F12 to see it and dismiss it, even in full screen apps, without having to move your cursor.

If I set an appointment inOutlook it goes to my outlook calendar but not to my iCloud calendar. Is there any way to have the iCloud calendar be the default calendar?

You can't, Outlook does not allow for subscribed calendars to be the default, unless they are Microsoft Exchange calendars.

  • How to keep the Zoom level in Safari 7?

There is only one big win that's making me stick to Chrome over Safari: The zoom.
In Chrome when you zoom in a page (With Cmd +) the zoom level is stored in the cookies, or the history, or somwhere, and it stays the same level when you open again that page in another tab or if you close and open again Chrome. This simple feature makes it tremendously comfortable to navigate in big and wide screens.
This feature by itself is going to keep me using Chrome instead of Safari with all the new fancy and cool stuff they added in the new Safari 7. And yes, there is a "Trick" by using a .css style sheet customed to make a default zoom in all pages, but it's not good enough because some pages need different level of zoom.
So please, someone, make Apple correct this issue. It should't be complicated, it's as simple as that Safari remembers the latest zoom level you left in a web.
Because I believe that if people are leaving Safari behind is because it lacks this simple tools that make life much easier. And I believe it's in Apples philosphy to make technology to help people, isn't it?

It never worked the way Chrome works in Safari 6 either, but at least Safari 6 remembered the zoom level you'd set in a particular tab. With Safari 7 Apple has made the situation even worse. Now after setting the zoom level you want, it's forgotten when you click on a bookmark, and the page reverts to actual size. It really is infuriating having to zoom in all the time, and the CSS trick and the various zoom extensions don't work properly. Safari is all but unusable for me because of this issue. I've complained to Apple many times about it in the past, but now I've given up believing it'll ever change. It seems that Chrome will forever conquer Safari thanks to an easy-to-fix issue Apple refuses to fix.

  • In windows 8 how do you make the bookmarks column "flexible"? I used to be able to make it narrower.

Windows 8 how do you make the bookmarks column "flexible"?

Is the problem with the Bookmarks Sidebar -- the one you can open and close by pressing Ctrl+b? It does seem to have a minimum width and won't get narrower than that, but I'm not sure whether you are running into that limitation or whether for some reason you are not getting the resizing arrow when you mouse over the thin border between the sidebar and the page.
