Je n'arrive pas à faire fonctionner, ni même à supprimer Reader X, il me demande AcroRead.msi. Impossible de charger les PDF sur internet, je ne trouve pas malgré toutes mes recherches. Merci pour l'aide possible.

Try This----
1. Open Browser (I use Google)
2. Type in "WINDOWS INSTALLER CLEANUP UTILITY"
3. When results appear look for "support,microsoft.com DESCRIPTION OF WINDOWS INSTALLER CLEANUP UTILITY"------CLICK
4. When page opens, SCROLL down to "Download the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility Cleanup"-----CLICK
5. When "File download-Security Warning" box appears-----CLICK "RUN"
6. After download completes,--Open "PROGRAMS" on your computer
and look for "WINDOWS INSTALL CLEANUP"---CLICK to open
7. When box opens, look for 8.1.1 or any "Adobe Reader" (I don't know which version you have installed)-----CLICK to "HIGHLIGHT"
CAUTION-----DO NOT HIGHLIGHT ANY OTHER PROGRAM---CAUTION
8. At bottom of BOX ----CLICK "REMOVE"
9. Go back to "CONTROL PANEL"-"ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS"---Adobe Reader should have been removed
10. Now download "ADOBE READER 8.1.2" From Adobe
THIS IS NOT USING "BRUTE FORCE" or "HEAVY HANDED" Methods

Adobe reader missing AcroRead.msi
I have a Dell Vostro 1500 with Windows XP and I have Acrobat Reader 8 installed on it.
I have recently had a problem opening the software. When I go to the start menu and click to open it, I get a message that says: "function only works for software that is already installed."
I went to the Control Panel's Add/Remove software utility and tried to uninstall Acrobat Reader 8 so I can reinstall a newer version of the software and see if that would fix the problem. When I try to do this, I get the following error message:
- "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'AcroRead.msi" in the box below."
Similarly, when I try to go ahead and install a newer (or older) version of Acrobat without uninstalling the present version, I get another error message about the missing AcroReader.msi file. I don't know how to correct this problem and I'm not sure how it popped up, as I believe this software was working fine a few weeks ago.
In Windows Explorer, the Acrobat icon picture does not show up on PDF files, but when I click to open these files, they do open - I am just not sure that all the features of the software are working as they should. And I want to make sure the files I create and save are not corrupted so they can be viewed on other computers.
Any tips/suggestions for this frustrating matter would be appreciated. I would just like to get an updated and working copy of this freeware.> Also, I already tried uninstalling the program with the Installer Clean up tool. I get the same error message telling me the .msi file is missing.

trying to run the Clean up Tool, and what is the EXACT message?

It didn't work while using command "start /wait msiexec /i AcroRead.msi LANG_LIST=CHS;CHT /qn" to install Adobe reader XI for MUI support. The MSI version is the latest version "AdbeRdr11000_mui_Std".
could you please help to provide a solution for MUI install support?

The version of the install software is definetely 32 bit. eg its PremiereElements_10_LS15_win32.exe with the corresponding win32 zipped file.
BTW the fact that I can extract the files and then run the program as a stand alone program means I think? that it is the right version and can run on this computer. Its obviously an install issue it seems.
The version of XP i have is XP prof sp3 version 5.1 build 2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.101209-1647
Based on your comment regarding the install version, I found and downloaded the 4.5 version of the msiexec software. Tried to install the PE again and got the same error ... EXCEPT that now the output comes from the 4.5 version instead of the previous version. eg.

So obvously the new installer got installed, but still the install process doenst work.

Acroread.msi file is not found..
i cannot delete or reinstall any form of adobe acrobat.. i have 9.3 on my pc which is runnins XP SP3 and i cannot uninstall it.. it will not open.. it does not show in any of my program files but it shows on my add/remove programs list.. none of the adobe programs can be deleted so i can reinstall them.i have tried to find the file but as i said there are no adobe files on my pc.. so how is it on my add/remove list and how the world do i get it uninstalled

Be aware that Microsoft removed this tool from its downloads due the fact that under certain circumstances it was capable of corrupting the Windows Installation, HOWEVER, people have used this utility for years without issue. -
Extract msi file from Adobe Reader 9
I distribute Adobe Reader throughout the enterprise using the Customization utility. In past, up to and including Adobe Reader 8 I have been able to extract the msi file by finding the needed files in the
%temp% folder. I am finding that is not true with Adobe Reader 9. Is there another method (other than doing a full install) of extracting the
acroread.msi file for version 9? Please do not refer me to the extraction process for version 8 that is what I am using with not success. Just wondered if there was another method.
Thanks in AdvanceRun the Acrobat Reader setup file and pause it after the setup starts. Now go to %userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Setup Files\READER9 and there are all the setup files. Copy all these files and you will now be able to use the custom setup wizard for 9 to make any customizations and deploy.

Unable to deploy the MSI in Windows 7 64-bit

I try to deploy Adobe Reader 10.1.1 in a new Windows 7 Pro SP1 64-bit installation with the following command line: "msiexec /i AcroRead.msi TRANSFORMS=AcroRead.mst /qn /log log.txt" through MDT 2010. I also tried in a command prompt without sucess. Through MDT I get this result: Application Adobe Reader 10.1.1 returned an unexpected return code: 1603.
Interesting fact: in a Windows 7 Pro SP1 x86, the Adobe Reader 10.1.1 is installed correctly without any error.

It starts with a process for cleanly starting over, and there is some discussion, and there is also a post (15) with links to older Desktop Software versions, if those are needed. Note that this is not, by any means, guaranteed to work...but it has worked for many to resolve issues they are having.

Which Base MSI to Use For Adobe Reader Updates?
I am new to creating AIP for Adobe Reader and am wondering which MSI to use as the base installer. From what I understand, to create an AIP for Adobe Reader 11.0.07, I need to first have the AIP created for 11.0.00 and then patch it using the 11.0.07 MSP file. (the 11.0.07 MSP file contains all other updates found in earlier quarterly releases and OOC releases)
So my question is on obtaining the correct MSI file for creating the original 11.0.00 AIP. My options for obtaining the correct MSI are threefold:
The original 11.0.00 MSI (AdbeRdr11000_en_US.msi) (only one msiexec comand required)
The original 11.0.00 EXE (AdbeRdr11000_en_US.exe) (extract the files from the exe, then run the msiexec command)
The new 11.0.07 EXE (AdbeRdr11007_en_US.exe) (same as previous item)
I noticed that the MSIs in the AIP are named "AcroRead.msi" when extracted from an EXE file (#2 and #3 above) but named "AdbeRdr11000_en_US.msi" when extracted from the original MSI file (#1 above). Are all three of these resulting MSIs the "same"? They all have different MD5 hashes but otherwise appear identical.
Once I have the original AIP for 11.0.00 backed up, I should be able to reuse it when new quarterly releases come out. Can anyone help please? What is recommended? Thanks!No one answered, but I think probably all can be used. I made a script that will automatically extract and build the AIP from the most recent EXE file provided by Adobe. Why Adobe doesn't create a new MSI themselves is beyond me.

Having problems updating Adobe Reader MSI from 10.1.0 to 10.1.4

I have read online that you can slipstream the adobe update into the original 10.1.0 installer. Here is what I have tried.
I have downloaded the original 10.1.0 MSI file and ran msiexec /a C:\Adobe\Downloads\AdbeRdr1010_en_US.msi, which during the admin install, I have installed it into C:\Adobe\AIP
I then run msiexec /a C:\Adobe\AIP\AcroRead.msi /p C:\Adobe\Downloads\AdbeRdrUpd1014.msp, and get the following error message:
This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package.
If I double click on the MSP file in Windows Explorer, it opens it up and wants to update adobe reader, however I can not get this to work.
Any assistance is appreciated, I don't know what I am doing wrong, tried on two different systems one 32bit and 64bit.
Craig.When I say deploy I mean deploy to all my PC's in my domain (350+) via AD.
What I normally do is:
1. Extract the Adrobe reader .msi package from the .exe by running the following command:
E:\AdobeRdr\1014_original\AdbeRdr1014_en_US.exe -nos_o"E:\AdobeRdr\1014_original\Extraction\AdbeRdr1014_en_US" -nos_ne
2. Emulate a Network install of the .msi package by running the following command:
msiexec /a E:\AdobeRdr\1014_original\Extraction\AdbeRdr1014_en_US\AcroRead.msi
3. Emulate a Network install of the .msi packing and apply the update by running the following command:
msiexec /a E:\AdobeRdr\1014_original\1014wUpdate\AcroRead.msi /p E:\AdobeRdr\1014_original\Extraction\AdbeRdr1014_en_US\AdbeRdrUpd1014.msp
4. Use the Adobe customisation tool to create a custom .mst file
5. Copy the extracted folders, .msi, .mst and setup.ini to the \\SHARE
Is there a better way of doing this?
What it looks like to me is Adobe have not updated the product code on the install files, so when I install the .msi it sees the existing one matches the update and generates the error.

Hi, I could not find an .msi file of the adobe reader ver. 11.0.02 (latest version I could find with only .exe file) on the ftp site; is this version same as 11.0.2?. I am trying to deploy this version to all the devices in our environment. I have installed Adobe customization wizard version 11 and want to use it to customize our install. I there a way to check if a newer version of Adobe is installed so it will not install this version?.
Will a silent installation of this 11.0.02 version automatically removes older versions on the system?.able to figure out how to extract .msi file from the .exe

above extract to multiple files including .msi and msp (update) files to the adobereaderfiles folder on the root directory.
I need to use customization wizard to create a custom install .msi file; I tried loading the extracted "AcroRead.msi" file into the wizard and after making changes saved the file. I did not get far; is there any step-by-step instructions on how to save and utilize this utility; it has help, but does not give any examples how to create your own customize .msi from the one provided. -
Adobe Reader X 10.2.0, waiting for new MSI package
I can't seem to find anything out about the next yearly update of Adobe Reader. There are supposed to be quarterly and yearly updates for Reader, but Adobe don't seem to be sticking to the schedule.
I need the next full MSI package to come out so that I can get updates out to my office PCs, as I have never been able to get AIPs to work but I can't seem to find anything on it, even beta.Only way we could get it to work at my office was to avoid the downloadable MSI. We had to extract the MSI and associated install files from the EXE here:
ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/10.x/10.1.0/en_US/AdbeRdr1010_en_US.exe
Again, do not download the MSI.
Get the EXE and extract like so:
AdbeRdr1010_en_US.exe -nos_o"Reader10" -nos_ne
Funny, even though I specified "Reader10" it still prompted me for a directory. But if you don't put anything there I think it just throws everything into a temp directory and doesn't prompt you where to put the files.
So at this point you've got a directory but it's not your Admin Install Point. Go into wherever you extracted it and do the deeds (create the admin install point):
msiexec.exe /a AcroRead.msi
It'll prompt you for a directory.
So now you've got the AIP you made above. Go into THAT brand new AIP folder and then apply the patch:
msiexec.exe /a AcroRead.msi /p c:\FavoriteDirectoryToPutAllMyAdobeFiles\AdbeRdrUpd1013.msp
Copy that folder to a networked location (or whatever fancy GPO stuff one does) and point your GPO to AcroRead.msi and you're good to go. Only way we could do it at my office. I had it "replace" instead of "upgrade" all previous installations but I have no idea if that helped or not.
When we used any other MSI, downloaded or extracted, nothing worked.
Regardless, we've now got 10.1.3 deployed company-wide via GPO.

AcroRead.mst settings not applied in installation

I downloaded Adobe reader 11, dutch (AdbeRdr11000_nl_NL.exe) and extracted it:
AdbeRdr11000_nl_NL.exe -nos_oc:\temp\temp1\files\2 -nos_ne
Then I opened the .MSI file with the Adobe customization wizard and changed some settings (Eula, updates etc).
After that I saved it and AcroRead.mst was created.
Then on the client (logged in as Administrator) I copied all the files in c:\temp and entered:
msiexec.exe /i AcroRead.msi TRANSFORMS="AcroRead.mst" /quiet
Adobe reader gets installed and I can open it but the changes from the customization wizard are NOT applied.
When I start adobe, I get the EULA and the product updates are still configured as automatic.
I tried with other settings and full path names like these:
msiexec.exe /i "c:\temp\adobe\AcroRead.msi" TRANSFORMS="c:\temp\adobe\AcroRead.mst" /quiet
msiexec.exe /i AcroRead.msi TRANSFORMS=AcroRead.mst /quiet
msiexec.exe /i /qn AcroRead.msi TRANSFORMS=AcroRead.mst
msiexec.exe /i "AcroRead.msi" /q TRANSFORMS="AcroRead.mst"
msiexec.exe /i AcroRead.msi /q TRANSFORMS="AcroRead.mst"
But the result is the same, Adobe reader is installed but without the changed settings.
Could someone help with this please ?

thanks.Copy the examples from http://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/AdminGuide/cmdline.html#command-line-exa mples so that you don't have to try random cmd lines. For example, quotes are only used around property params.
Enable logging, and if you still have problems, post you cmd line and log.

You cannot download this file; it is created during the install process.
If you are having troubles installing/uninstalling/updating Adobe Reader, try this tool

We're upgrading reader from 9 to XI, doing a custom installation so to lock it down a little (for security purposes).
To do that I'd need the .msi download for V. 11.0.07, where could I find it ?

'adbeRdr812_en_US.msi' Can't unistall or install HELP
In trying to uninstall Reader 8.1.2 in get the message that 'AdbeRdr812_en_US.msi' cannot be found. that the Installation source is not available. I cannot up date to 9 either or even in stall and old version because it thinks that the 8.1.2 is up and running. So I have nothing and can't do anything.
ok so here is what happened. I followed Carl L Lambert's advice from Forum Topic "AcroRead.msi?" Using the "WINDOWS INSTALLER CLEANUP UTILITY" followed the insturctions he gave, It removed my old reader 8.1.2and then I was able to install 9. Thanks Carl!

11.0.2 MSI not installing properly
So I have downloaded the most recent version of Adobe Reader 11.0.2. I extraced the contents and edited the MSI using the Adobe Customization Wizard.
My issue is this. When I install using the command msiexec /i file.msi TRANSFORMS=file.mst /qn It will install Adobe Reader 11.0.0 with all of the customizations that were created in the .mst file. Why is it not installing 11.0.2? If I run the .exe file it installs 11.0.2 but if I run the .msi file it only installs version 11.0.0. Any help would be great. I have recreated this twice, from the beginning and it fails, my syntax is correct. I always says " This installation package could not be opened. etc" and I have full rights to that directory. Help please.
