Active Hardware Key field is empty

Dear All,
In my Quality server, in t.code SLICENSE , the active hardware key field is blank.No hardware key information display. When i apply new license at that time, successfully completion message came then also "Active Hardware Key" and "License Expires On" fields are blank. and i am not able to login into server.

Also ,please run RZ10 and then generate the profile for active servers ,make sure that default profile is active in the system.
Then run slicense -get on command prompt if windows .
What is the error message while you are loggin in. Paste the log here..

SAP NetWeaver 7.01 ABAP Trial / field 'Active Hardware Key' is empty

Hello,
I just installed SAP NetWeaver 7.01 ABAP Trial Version and I am trying to obtain a licence
I log into the system with SAP* user and click on Administer SAP Licenses
I used the transaction code SLICENSE....but then the field 'Active Hardware Key' is empty (so I am not able to request a licence as I have to provide this Hardware key...)
Does anywone have an idea ?

Hardware key should be there in SLICENSE, but anyway you can get that.
Login with <SIDADM> user and execute saplicense -get, it will give you the hardware key. when you receive the License file then you have to install the license from SLICENSE only.

Active Hardware Key is missing in ECC 6.0

Hi All,
I have an issues with my ECC 6.0 system. Once I restart my application server due to hardware maintenance. Since that time, I can't logon to my ECC 6.0 except in client 001 with user SAP*. I found in transaction SLICENSE that my active hardware key is missing...
Could anyone help me with this problem ??

Do you have a license installed ? (check the slicense status)
You may request a new license in SAP Service Marketplace at http://service.sap.com/licensekey
Please note that as of Web Application Server ABAP 7.0 the license keys are digitally encrypted. Therefore you must request a new license key for your existing or new system if you are using a SAP product based on Web AS 7.0. Request your digital encrypted license key with license type standard and install it as described in SAP note 870871.

Missing active hardware key

Hi
I has an Sap Netweaver Abap Trial Version installed on my machine.
At some time when I wanted to log in using SAPGUI I received an error license message.
I reinstalled the server and SAPGUI. But when I logon I see no active hardware key with which to apply for license.
What do I do to recover this active hardware key?

I had the same problem. The message server port was already used (you can see in the dev_ms file).
I stop the instance and after with the command
cleanipc nn remove
I free the port (nn is the instance number)
After that we can give the command:
netstat -na|grep 39nn
If there are some process in that port, give the command:
icps |grep sidadm
(with sid SID of sap instance)
If there are other semaphores in that port you can remove it with command
ipcrm -s xxxxx
with xxxxx number of semaphore active in that port
After that, you can restart the Sap instance and verify the dev_ms file.

Get system Hardware key

Hi Experts
I need to create some kind of security to don't allow copy and install the application in another machine or system. My team define some rules and now i need to implement.
One of this rule is get the Active Hardware license of CE. If i go to NWA -> Configuration Management -> Licenses, i can see it in Active Hardware Key field.
I need to get this value progamatically.
If is possible get it in some screen of nwa, i know that is possible to get in my module.
Someone know how can i do this?

Hi Marcos,
You can get the Hardware Key using the OS command 'saplicense -get'. I don't know if there's any API that allows you to get this value directly but I guess you can always invoke this OS command programmatically and manipulate the output to get the value.

Sneak Preview NW CE 7.1 SR5 Hardware Key : where to get it from ?

Hi Expert i just installed NW CE 7.1 SR5 ,
     issues:
      1. In order to avail 90 validity i need to provide Hardware key on registration page. How to find this key ?? mine is JAVA stack only??
       2. i dont find irj folder under C:\usr\sap\CE1\J00\j2ee\cluster\apps\sap.com now how can i launch the portal ???

The first step is to obtain the Hardware Key. Log into the system with SAP* user and click on Administer SAP Licenses or use the transaction code SLICENSE. The picture below shows where to find the Active Hardware Key.

Error installing license - Hardware Key Empty

Hello gurus,
We have our SAP ECC 6 installed in one Server running AIX. It´s working good.
Now, we have installed a cluster service. If the First Server stops, the cluster service (IBM HACMP) move all filesystems to Second server. The cluster moves also users, IP address and hostname. After move all resources, then the service starts ECC in another physical server.
This process is working fine. But when the SAP ECC starts on the second server, I cannot logon in system because the license key is not valid. I can logon only with SAP*.
So, when I call SLICENSE to get all information needed to get another license, the field Hardware Key is empty.
I´ve tried too by operating system (saplicense -get). I have now the hardware key and the new license file. This file was installed, but SAP system is not working yet. For information, the license appears as valid, but the field is empty yet and the system doesn´t work.
Anybody have an idea to solve this problem?

Activation of Bank Control Key field (P0009-BKONT) in IT 0009

Hi,
We got a requirement to activate Bank Control Key field (P0009-BKONT) in IT 0009 for the Countries Barbados, Dominican Republic and Trinidad & Tobago.
For activating this field, we copied a new screen for each country for IT 0009 and made the field P0009-BKONT as Standard in T588M (Screen Modifications). Updated the feature P0009 also.
When checked IT 0009, Bank Control Key is not found. Again, we have added the entries for these countries in table V_T521A (Bank details: Relevance of special fields) by selecting Control Key as Relevant.
Still no luck. Bank Control Key is not seen in IT 0009.
Can someone help me by providing solution how to activate field P0009-BKONT for the above countries. Thanks !!

You mean system uses this new screen but you don't see the field on it?
If this is npt the case and system does not select the right screen check the feature P0009 in PE03.

No key field found for creation of DataSource - Classification Datasource

While trying to create a clasiffication datasource based on 0PLANT_ATTR, when i assign a characteristic and push the DataSource button, i get the following message:
No key field found for creation of DataSource
Diagnosis
During generation of a classification or configuration DataSource, only those key fields for the object table (field "Obj.Tabelle") that are already present in the basis DataSource transferred to the extract structure. This is the case when none of the key fields of the object table were found in the structure of the basis DataSource.
System response
A DataSource cannot be created without key fields. The action was cancelled.
Procedure
Check whether you have selected the correct basis DataSource and object table. For more information, please see SAP Note 569849.

Hi Alberto,
plants are a special case. The key which is used for the classification
of plants (object type BETR) is not the same as the key which is used in
datasource 0PLANT_ATTR.
BETR has key LOCNR (Site). That's a customer related to a plant. The
customer number will be extracted in field LOCNR.
0PLANT_ATTR extracts the plant in its key field WERKS.
Transaction CTBW and the generic extraction program for classifications
don't know the relationship between LOCNR and WERKS. So they cannot map
them.
I do recommend a solution which would add the mapping between
LOCNR and WERKS:
1. Create please the classification datasource as intended, but use
datasource 0RT_LOC_MGR_ATTR as basis datasource. It's the only
datasource of the content where LOCNR is a key field. So
0RT_LOC_MGR_ATTR is used as a dummy here, to allow transaction CTBW to
create the classification datasource. It's not necessary to extract
data with datasource 0RT_LOC_MGR_ATTR.
2. Extend please the extract structure of the created classification
datasource. Add please field WERKS using component type WERKS_D. Make
this field visible.
3. Fill field WERKS in the extractor user exit EXIT_SAPLRSAP_002. WERKS
can be read from table KNA1 by using the customer number extracted to
LOCNR to select on field KNA1-KUNNR.
4. Transaction CTBW_META on the BW system isn't able to append the
characteristics from the classification datasource to infosource
0PLANT, because the keys are different. So create please a new info
source with CTBW_META. This allows CTBW_META to create the info objects
for the characteristics used in the classification datasource.
5. Add please the characteristics used in the classification datasource
to infosource 0PLANT manually. You will find the info object names of
the characteristics by looking up the characteristic datasources which
are assigned to the classification datasource in transaction CTBW. From
these names you can derive the info object names:
1CL_A... -> C_A...
6. Disconnect the infosource which has been created with CTBW_META from
the classification datasource.
7. Connect please the classification datasource to infosource 0PLANT
Use following info object:
info object   field
0PLANT       WERKS
The info object names for the characteristics are explained in step 5.
8. Add an infopackage to infosource 0PLANT for the classification
datasource.
Now the extraction of classifications of sites should work.

What key fields should i set in DSO extracting data from 2LIS_02_ITM

hi experts
i extract data from 2LIS_02_ITM into a DSO, i know the DSO isn't a must, becoz the 2LIS_02_ITM delta type is ABR, but i want to keep the info in change log.
so, what the key fields should i set in the dso? just ebeln and ebelp is enough?

If you extract ITM toa DSO you cannot maintain a log of every change....the data will come ....but when the data must be activated the reference of the ebelp ebeln will remain only a single record....if you want to maintain all the data you must create another field in extractor with you can difference all the changes for one single ebelp ebeln...

Key fields in the DSO are the primary keys in the active data table, depending on the keyfields the data in the aggregates will be overwrited.
It depends on the requirement we will decide what are the keyfields has to be taken. To utilise the overwrite functionality of the DSO depending on the data which is coming into bw we take keyfields. If u are using DSO as a staging then u have to lookinto the corresponding tables of the DSO, what are the primary keys in those tables..

Key fields and data fields re-arranged

Hello SDN,
Which design contains more records due to it showing more granularity? :
1. ODS with more infoobjects assigned as Keys.
2. ODS with less infoobjects assigned as Keys.
assuming the total number of infoobjects remain the same.
Where data fields can contain characteristics that can be used as keys or non-keys, depending on choice of design.
My understanding is with more keys, less details available due to aggregation. Could you kindly help to confirm this is correct?
I need to ask this because I am trying to change the re-arrange the keys by putting data fields as keys but not sure how this will turn out / behave.

So in the update rules , you can see the Overwrite for all Data fields. If the sales office is chaged for a record , the the OLD value will be over written by new value. So Before and after change to the records, the no of records are equal to 1.
2)
Key fields:
Billing document
Sales Office
Data Fields
Customer
Net sales
So in the update rules , you can see the Overwrite for all Data fields(now not for 'Sales Office'). If the sales office is chaged for a record , the the OLD value will not be over written by new value. It creates 2 records in Active table with respect to one change in new table. So Before the change , the no of records was 1.now after change, the records' number becomes 3.

ODS Key Fields allows blank values in Transformation

Dear Experts,
I have two layers:
1. Datawarehouse layer (purpose is to represent exactly data at the backend)
2. Consolidation Layer
Scenario 1:
In Datawarehouse layer, the fiscal variant is a key field in ODS and I have two other key fields i.e. combine to form a composite key.
When I load the data from PSA to this ODS, I have a record which contains blank value for the fiscal variant. It successfully loads into the Datawarehouse ODS.
Sceanrio 2:
In the consolidation layer, i have 4 key fields out of which fiscal variant is one of them. Now when I load the data from the datawarehouse ods to consolidated ods, it throws an error saying:
Diagnosis
     An exception fiscvarnt_missing was raised while executin
     module RST_TOBJ_TO_DERIVED_TOBJ .
System Response
     Processing the corresponding record has been terminated.
The transformation mapping for the fiscal varaint in both sceanarios is 1:1 mapping with the rule type 'Time Characteristic'.
My questions is:
1. Why different behaviour during scenario 1 and sceanario 2
2. Solution to the above issue

Yes the format selected in the field for the datasource is 'Internal'.
When loading the data from R3>PSA>ODSX(Datawarehouse Layer), I have no problems even when the field is blank.
When loading from ODSX-->ODSY(Consolidated Layer) the empty (blank) field for that records throws error.
Any ideas?

Only key fields of table-cluster in where-condition for better performance?

Say my cluster table is having following key fields: KEY1, KEY2, KEY3, KEY4.
And, my table-cluster is having following key fields: KEY1, KEY2, PAGENO .. [PAGENO is always there in a table-cluster].
Now, I have two versions of my (Open SQL) SELECT-WHERE clause:
a) SELECT *
 WHERE KEY1 EQ LV_KEY1
 AND KEY2 EQ LV_KEY2
 AND KEY3 EQ LV_KEY3.
b) SELECT *
 WHERE KEY1 EQ LV_KEY1
 AND KEY2 EQ LV_KEY2.
Please guide me whether version (a) or version (b) will be executed faster? In case of version (b), I will have to filter data using ABAP code corresponding to KEY3.

I think most experienced ABAPrs would tell you to try both, compare runtimes, and use the one that's more efficient. SAP provides "get run time field <fieldname of type i>. Get run time at start, get run time at end, and subtract start from end to get the time in microseconds (1 second / 1,000,000 ).
Run several times to minimize effect of buffering and system load activity, and you'll see which method produces lower run time.

Previewing data in UD Datasource (S:RSSDK:400 field is empty)

Hi,
I followed the steps in creating a datasource for UD connect interface. I was successful in saving and activating the datasource; however, when previewing the data, i am given the prompt: "S:RSSDK:400 field is empty."
I double checked the database wherein it was extracting data from. There was data present.
Any ideas on how to solve my problem?
