Add People in Elements 13 (Second Question)

This is probably an issue of software stability - possibly tied in with the first and similar titled question (AdobeFan27 - 28 Sept 2014). Tried Troubleshooting face recognition issues in Organizer which didn't help.
I have a new load of PSE13 and have imported over 6,000 photos in small batches. Using the Add People button with each batch has increasingly become less and less reliable. Each time it's failed to work I have usually found a computer restart has been necessary to make it work again (although sometimes a second restart has been required). Finally today it has completely stopped working and only a reload of the software has enabled it to Add People again. At each of the failures I have tried closing down applications (like Explorer and Chrome, Outlook and other Office applications) and I could not identify any one application that might have been a cause of the problem.
The visual cue to Add People not working is..... >click on Add People >windows flash open and close - these have the appearance on "doing its thing" and then instantly closing - too fast to read anything though.
I hope this is a common bug that is coming to light because it would be a pain to have to reload PSE13 each time I cannot get Add People working.
I will add to this post IF I can identify more symptoms. I am also able to respond to Adobe Support staff with additional information if it'll help.

I have the same issues as you describe in your post.
Doing some Google searches lead me to believe that Adobe is not interested in this subject.
PSE11, 12 and 13 all seem to give the same problems.
"Add People", and "Mark Face" does nothing, and no improvement has been seen the last years.
I even tried Adobes chat, but after a few hours - mostly waiting for an inexperience person asking a new questiom I got i timeout waiting, and gave up.
Here is what I do:
1: Pressing "Add People"
2: Runs "People Recognition"
3: Displays "Analyzing Your media now"
4: Displays "No New People found in Your selection"
5: Press "Mark Face"
6: displays "People Analysis is yet to be performe on the selected media. Would you 7: like to start the analysis now? Yes No
8: Pressing Yes
9: and it is back to step 2
Upgraded from 11 to 13 at X-max. Updated to 13.1 yesterday. Win 8.1, 8G memory
(Have tried to rename breezesession.dat, and access rights seems fine. File reappears when Organizer is used.)

I used a trial version of Elements 12 and now have a trial version of Elements 13. I am most likely going to buy Elements 13 but I am puzzled by adding people. If I remember correctly, in Elements 12 I was selecting pictures, then click on "Add People" and then it will scan faces and I give names to the faces. However, in Elements 13 I select pictures, then I click on "Add People" and I get "No people found in your selection". What am I doing wrong?

Add people analysis not working in Elements 11

Hello,
The Add People feature has stopped working in Elements 11. I just get the message "no new people found in your selection". Yet, when i open a picture there will be faces that are marked in the photo awaiting tagging. I have thousands of photos and having to open each one individually just to tag faces is not why i purchased this software. It worked well in version 10 and was much better in 11 until it stopped working.
It worked great until about 3 weeks ago. I have not changed any settings on my end. I have followed the directions on the following threads:

To date:
I have reset to default settings
I renamed the psa.prf, status.dat and the peoplestatus.dat files.
Neither of those have worked. Short of uninstalling and re-installing i am at my wits end. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please see if following works:
1. In your catalog folder, rename 'BreezeSession.dat' file (Catalog folder location can be found by Help->System Info) and see if that helps.
2. Select the image in small batch and then click on 'add people'.

Elements 11 -- add people, does not appear to work

Have selected a sub set of photo's with many people in the photo's. When I then go to the bottom of the page and hit "add people" .. it goes thru and say none to add. Yet there are plenty of people in the photo's to add. What am i doing wrong?

Add Context/Parameter Elements to UWL

Hi, as you know, when you connect the UWL with CAF-Guided Procedures, it shows to the user as subject for the UWL Task the name of the GP Action that is related in a GP Process.
I need to add a context element (ctx.variable) to the text that is shown to the user in the UWL, 'cause the same user can have several time the same Action on his UWL Inbox with the same name and he needs to be able to identify between them.

I can't use the Mark Face or +Add People buttons in PSE11 or PSE12

I'm really struggling with this as I thought this would be a very important feature for me, one reason I am trying to make PSE 11 work for me rather than Lightroom. When I click on the Mark Face button I get a pop up that says "People Analysis has yet to beperformed on the selected media. Would you like to start the analysis now?" When I click Yes, something pops up for less than a second, so fast I can't read it. I can tell there is a bar with what is maybe 0% to the left and 100% to the right. And that is all that happens. If I click on the +Add People button, same thing. If I right click on the picture I can select Add a Person, and then type in a name and I can add people tag that way. Not what I really want to do. The Mark Face funtion worked for about 50 picturesandthen stopped, I don't know why.
Things I have tried:
Optimize catalog.
Repair catalog,
renaming BreezeSession.dat to BreezeSession.old
I downloaded PSE 12 and am in the first day of my trial. The Mark face function worked for the first picture and I thought I had my solution! On the second picture it is now doing exacttly as before.
Any insight would be appreciated. I guess I could live without this feature but it is onethat I think I would really use.

Thanks for the reply. Selecting multiple thumbnails and clicking the +Add People button on the bottom toolbar results in the same problem. I get a popup for a brief instance and that's it. It lasts a fraction of a second. After repeated clicks I thinnk it says "Analyzing your media" or something to that affect.

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

quicken should work with lion.
Quicken Essentials will work with Lion. Most people that have used Quicken for a while (i.e. Quicken 2007) have found that Quicken Essentials isn't much better than a basic spreadsheet. It is a significant step down from previous versions and does not offer many of the features previously offered. Right now, it seems like the two most common options are iBank and MoneyDance.
Frankly... this is a major opportunity for these companies. The largest commercial distributor of this type of product has been Intuit (Quicken). That makes it hard for any other company to get any of that market as so many people were already using Quicken and may have had years of data stored in it. Now, with Quicken effectively out of the picture, it's a great chance for another company. Just imagine if iPhones were suddenly off the market. That would give other manufacturers a tremendous opportunity since they wouldn't have to fight an up hill battle against a market giant.

The people at the Apple store gave me a long, tedious workaround which is open Pages and bring in logo. Export it as a PDF. Open the PDF in Review and then "Save As" a jpg to the desktop and drag and drop into the imovie. Even with this process, the text will sometimes shift. When it works, it looks good, the logo comes up, then the second line fades in under it as part of the build and then the third line completes the graphic. It would something this easy and straight forward would be easy.

I did the work around for the titles/jpg's in this short video.
I'll try your fix on the next one. I have 22 short 3-5 minute videos to produce
and I'm on number 5. This should save me a bunch of time.

I already tried fixing them individually as you suggested,
by going the crop/fit route. However, even then,
the second in the series had always shifted.
The first and the third images lined up, but not number 2..
So I brought in all the images, (1, 2 and 3).
and then the 2nd image again and put it in the third position
in the sequence on the time line. I deleted the "original" 2nd image.
So I had 1, 3, then 2. Then I dragged and dropped the correct number two
into position two and it worked. So what happens is that the
client logo appears, then that stays put and the next line dissolves in
and then the third dissolves in. They are three separate titles, but they
are aligned perfectly so that they build as I dissolve between them.
I think the problem with the edit copy route would be that while
I could edit/copy the logo, I couldn't position text through the
iMovie text function exactly as it only gives you middle or bottom third etc.
Each title with the product name is positioned individually depending on
length and number of lines. By going through Pages, I can position the logo
and the text exactly. Also, some logos are horizontal, while others
are square etc., so text positioning is crucial.Anyhow,
I'll try the global approach for the next one and see how that works.

How to add a new Element to the Context

I created in the wdInit()
ArrayList datas = new ArrayList();

     wdContext.nodeMyData().bind(datas);
Now, I want by clicking on the Button "Create new Element", forward user to the other View, which elements are connected with the same model -> context, the new element should be added to context, the user should fill the form and click Save-Button.
How can I add a new Element to the Collection I created and choose it as a current element?
If I do: wdContext.nodeMyData().bind(new MyData()) all information will be lost. And I will have only one field.
If I do it like this:
IWDNodeElement dynTabElem=(IWDNodeElement)wdContext.nodeMyData().createElement();
wdContext.nodeMyData().addElement(dynTabElem);
I get an error: com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.context.ContextException: NodeInfo(DataComp.MyData): value node is created without a reference
Well I can pass to my new View a Collection as a parameter and then
Collection.add(new MyData()) and then bind it. But I find this solution not good.
Is there any possibility to get the existing Collection from the Context without passing it to the view?
Can I just add a new element to the existing collection?

I need to combine 2 sets of bookmarks in one computer. One set was just replaced -- how do I get it back and add it to the second?

I am combining the contents of 2 computers into one new computer. I did a file transfer from the first, which transferred all of my bookmarks and passwords; when I did a file transfer from the second, it replaced the bookmarks and passwords that had already transferred. I want BOTH sets together as one Bookmark list in my new computer. How do I find the set that has just been replaced and add it to the second transfer?
One last thing -- I can still access the computer from the second transfer, but the first has been wiped clean. I wish I had known that the bookmarks would be replaced before I did the second transfer.

Keep this in mind, when you are restoring a JSON backup it will '''replace''' existing bookmarks (same thing with swapping in a places.sqlite file). When you '''import''' in HTML format, those bookmarks will be '''appended''' to the existing bookmarks.
I think what you need to do is to recover the backup from just before you attempted to add the second set of bookmarks - hope that Firefox automatically backed them up before you replaced them (very strong probability that was done '''if''' you closed Firefox between the two restorations, but if you didn't close and restart Firefox between those actions it may not have happened). Well, you'll need to add a new element at the right place in the hierarchy, and then move myElement there.
So something like (untested):
var oldParent = myElement.parent;
var newParent = oldParent.xmlElements.add(oldParent.tag);
myElement.move(LocationOptions.AT_BEGINNING, newParent);
But you don't specify what the new parent node should have or where it should be in the hierarchy, so there'll need to be some adjustment.
