Add watermark without reprocessing the video?

Hi
I have hundreds of videos that have already been processed to H.264 QT. I am now told that I need to add a logo watermark to every one. Is there some way to batch all these QT videos to add the watermark, WITHOUT reprocessing the video or audio (thus degrading it since it has already been processed once)? Someone please tell me there is....

Just wanted to post an update.
I had success with MPEG Streamclip. It allows you to add a text watermark... and I can batch process! Having a logo watermark would be ideal, but "© CompanyName" will suffice since it will take a fraction of the time compared to doing each file individually in PremierePro.
I have high quality PhotoJPEG QT versions of each video (that I used earlier to convert to H264). I can batch process these with MPEG Streamclip. I can also try CleanerXL for batch processing, but I don't think it's export quality is that great, but it's worth another look.
Thanks for the earlier suggestions. Let me know if there are any others.

The video tag only supports a few formats and MKV (Matroska Multimedia Container) isn't one of them.<br />
Your only option is to use the object (or embed) tag and use a player that can handle that format.<br />
If might be better to switch to the WebM format.<br />

I am creating a video in iMovie 9.0.4 and I would like to add images to my video without interrupting the audio. I read online about a Cutaway option but when I followed the directions I was not given an cutaway option. Is there a way to do this?

Did You turn on Advanced Tools ?
First Choise possibly - Visa avancerade verktyg / Show advanced tools
TimeLine set to show ONE ROW of Clips.
Then take a photo (.jpg) and drop it ON TOP OF the Clip in TimeLine where You want it to be.
Now You should get a drop down Menu - Select Cutaway.
Done
in iMovie'13 (version 10.0.x) this is very different !

How to add srt directly to itune without convert the video?

I recently add a movie into the itune. Since the movie is speaking in different language from english, I find myself very hard to understand. The video does have an srt file for me for subtitle but without convert the movie, it wont allow me to add the subtitle to the movie. I dont like to convert the movie because it always make the resolution fall and look really bad from the orginal. Is there any way that I can add the srt file to the movie in itune ? Please help me out...

Can i copy the content of the subtitle file to the lyrics tab in get info option to make it work?

Nevermind. In the iTunes Area I can drag and drop tunes onto the iTunes playlist I made, but NO I can't drag and drop to a synced list in the iPhone area of iTunes. Reason is that it only represents the list I sync to in iTunes.

How can I censor multiple areas? (without duplicating the video)

I need to censor severall areas in a video. Usually I use the crop and mosaic method to censor videos, but in this case, I need to censor more than 5 areas and I would prefere to not clone the video like 10 times. Is there another method? Black bars would be fine too.

You might find that instead of black bars, you can borrow a color from the video itself that would be less obvious. Reducing the opacity ever so slightly might work too, and possibly putting a little cross-hatch on the bars to compensate for the opacity.

I took a video using a tripod and I want to blend the video with a copy of the same video. How do I do that without making the video darker or lighter while keeping the opacity of the main video?

I dont want to the people in the main video to become transpartent (ghostly) I only want that to happen with the copy that I am overlaping. The copy will not be at the same starting point as the original, it will be slightly ahead. Everything ive tried has left the video lighter or darker then the original and it looks weird, it was used with a tripod so nothing changes in the video except for the posiioning of the people. I want to have like a trailing affect following the people, like you can get with your cursor on some computers its like its lagging behind? Its hard to explain, I hope this made some sense.. any suggestions would be great thanks.

Since you are disolving two shots together (rather than compositing or keying) it seems like you will always have some slight noticeable opacity as you are effectively bleinding two shots together at 50% opacity each. There is no way to maintian 100% short of keying or compositing. However with the background being the same in both shots the opacity shift should be very minimal.
Although you might consider trying the built in trailing effect in the filters browser and see how it looks, it might achive the effect you are attempting better than blending the two shots.

I do underwater video and add still photos to the video I create. When playing the video the still shots show distorted lines in any design in the picture and as it transitions to the next photo it clears up for a split second. What is causing this?

The photos are clear for the firt instant the appear during palyback and for the 3 or 4 seconds they are on the screen any pattern or design in the photo, say a patterned tablecloth, the pattern goes wavy, distorted, and then at the last moment before moving on the photo goes clear and smooth. It looks like when the picture goes in the "freeze" mode it distorts and when releasing for the next photo it smooths out again. This is really messing up some very good underwater still shots and land photos. I'm using a transition between photos and not using Ken Burns effect. Could use some help on this. Thanks.

so. to summarize your workflwo in my own words:
you're applying 12Mpix stills to an iMovie project
(btw: what setting has the iM project…?)
iMovie doesn't do interlaced internally…
you then 'share to iDVD'
as far as we know, iM converts to some h.264 file…
iDVD has to convert that again, to finally create a standard DVD:
720x480pix, interlaced = 0.3Mpixel resolution (yes, zero.point.three )
and, you're watching via a projector - most projectors have a non-video-resolution e.g. 800x600, 1200x800:
again, scaling effects.
so, tons of scaling/resizing, tons of comversions …
a) use any graphic tool (your Mac's Preview.app?) to scale the pics BEFORE import to iMovie to your Projects resolution (1920x0180, 1280x720, 720x480); choose tiff or png as doemat, avoid jpg
=> this avoids lossy scaling effect in iM
b) if DVD is your only delivery media, set iMovie's Project preferences to your TV-Standard (PAL/NTSC)
c) from iMovie, use 'Export using Quicktime', and in its options, choose AppleIntermediateCodec as … codec
=> this exports iMovies internal timeline without lossy conversions
d) set iDVD manually to same standard as your iMproject, 25/PAL or 30/NTSC
e) stay under 60min of length to allow max. quality
f) try to find a resolution on that laptop that comes close to DVDs res; synch res of laptop with proejctor
g) consider iDVD solo to create a slideshow; avoids any lossy 'inbetween steps' due to iMovie; very limited in terms of 'creation' … creates a slideshow (with music and transitions)
h) consider to avoid the DVD process at all; export from iMovie a 'file'; use a usb-stick to transfer to playback-computer; allows HighDef! DVD is SDef only ...
to create a file whic is compatible with any computer, follow my advice here:

For maximum quality of stills, I would use iDVD only (disk, but SDef only);
or avoid disks at all, create a charming HDef iMovie project and transfer via stick

How do I sync my iPod without grabbing the Video Podcasts from my iTunes?

I have searched and could not find the answer to this problem.
Anyway, I have a 5th gen iPod and am running it on a Mac with the latest iTunes. On the iPod options pane, I have selected to update only the selected Podcasts. I am leaving the podcasts that I do not want on my iPod (but want to keep on my Mac) unselected.
Now although it is true that the unselcted Podcasts to not appear in the Podcast section of my iPod, the files are still there and can be found by artist, album, etc.
How can I get around this? Basically, I have a few gigs of Video Podcasts that I do not want to carry on the iPod but do want o keep on my Mac in iTunes.
Any help would be appreciated.

Try going into iTunes preferences and click on the iPod icon (pod has to be linked up) and choose to "manually" update iPod. Will this help?

Can you add a skin to the video object?

In as3, I've created my own video object to play an flv file. The code starts out something like this:
var myVideo:Video = new Video(320,240);
I would like to attach a .swf skin for it but cannot find any examples on how to do it. All examples are instructions for adding code to a instance of the FLVPlayback object.
My question is can you only attach skins to the FLVPlayback object?

To save time, I wanted to use the pre-built skins that are used for the FLV components. I guess to use those skins you need to use the FLV class and if you wanted create your own buttons you would use the generic Video object.

How can I mkae a simple photo edit on premiere elements 12 without using the video feature?

I was told when I spent $1000+ on my HP and all the software that I would have what I needed to edit photos and/or edit videos. I am a yoga teacher so I am posting my classes online as videos, as podcasts, and I also need to edit some of my personal photos to use for marketing material. I can see where I edit photos for a video and incorporate them in that said video but Im also needing to just edit the photos but adding text. Nothing fancy. I just want to make some flyers.

For editing photos, to be output to the printed page (whether by a commercial printing service, or a desktop printer), I strongly recommend Photoshop Elements (PsE).
If you need to output to a video file, then Premiere Elements (PrE) can possibly do what you want, but not for the printed page - at least not easily, and with the ultimate results. First, Video is not dependent on DPI/LPI (Dots Per Inch, or Lines Per Inch), where printed material will be. Also, while PrE can output a Still Image, the quality, when printed, will be far less, than what one can obtain with PsE.
Do you currently have Photoshop Elements on your computer, or only Premiere Elements?

I know there was a problem with thermal cooling of the vieo chips on some of the models. As a precaution to keep my customers happy I would like to modify these to last. All systems will run Windows 7 Home Premium.
There is a "cult" folowing on these and I own 2 myself. All of these are getting replacement motherboards which includes the extra 256mb or 512mb Nvidia video chips.
I make copper shims at my business here in Albany, Oregon for water and air cooled systems and would very much appreciate any advise you can offer. There are many opinions on the internet but none from HP directly. Thank you very much.

The easist thing to do is to look in your device manager and write down all of the major hardware components listed by model (graphics, audio network controllers, etc).
Then you will know what drivers you need.
If your notebook has switchable graphics, you will need both video drivers.

Add bookmarks without using the mouse

Hello, I'm a bit tired of moving my mouse hand back and forth between keyboard and mouse to bookmark pages.
I'd like to be able to bookmark pages using keyboard only but after creating the bookmark (CTRL+B), I need to shift the focus back to page pane from the bookmarks pane. How do I do that using keyboard only? Simply hitting the arrow keys or page down/up doesn't enable me to move on to the next page to bookmark (again pressing CTRL+B).
