Added money to account.  Can receive texts but not send them.

I added money to my daughters prepay account and she can send texts but not receive them.  I have tried sending fresh texts and tried replying back and all I get are "message not  sent" notifications.  We are both on VZW.  She got the verifcation text that the  money went in and that the $20 texting plan was activated.  Please help.

I am sorry to learn the device is not receiving texts! That's a bummer! Was your daughter's phone getting messages before adding money to it?     Although possibly not related to your problem, I will remind you that the version of Firefox you are using at the moment has been discontinued and is no longer supported. Furthermore, it has known bugs and security problems. I urge you to update to the latest version of Firefox, for maximum stability, performance, security and usability.     As for your issue, you need to provide more information. Firefox is not an email client. You may be having a problem with the email client you use, or with the site you are using to handle emails...

  • I can receive texts, but cannot send them

    When I try to send a text, I have a new looking screen that shows a "subject" line, I can type a text, but the 'send' button is subdued and will not allow me to send a text. This just happened today. Yesterday, I could send texts, but not MMS. According to ATT, everything is OK on my account and I should have full texting ability.
    Any thoughts?

    you have to type below the grey line under subject. The send wont show till something is typed below the line.

    Help has arrived! Let's take a closer look to see what's going on. Have you disabled the iMessaging feature on your iPhone prior to activating the basic phone? What zip code are you located in? Are you experiencing this issue when sending text messages to all users or just one in particular?

    Hi, My sister is having an issue with her iPhone 5 that she can receive messages from my iphone 5s but cannot reply to them.....she has noticed it with one other number, Any ideas?
    She has reset her phone, checked my number is right and we havent blocked each other.....

  • My M276nw can receive faxes but not send them.

    This was purchased to send faxes and of course it has stopped doing that less than a month after the warranty expired. 
    I can't believe I was stupid enough to buy another HP product.  Never again.
    There is no information on what to do.  It is always some sort of comm error.  Usually mapping back to to much noise on the line.  Problem with that is the receive is just fine.
    Any suggestions?

    I see that you are experiencing issues sending faxes, but you can receive faxes. I would like to help you.
    Run a fax test.
    From the Home screen, touch the wrench button.
    Touch the service button.
    Touch the Fax service button.
    Touch run fax test.
    You should get 4 passes.
    Check these settings for the fax:
    Go to the wrench icon/fax setup menu/advanced setup/private receive/turn it off.
    Go to the wrench icon/service /fax service/error correction/turn it off.
    Go to the wrench icon/fax setup /advanced setup/fax speed/change it to medium.
    Go to wrench icon/service menu/fax service/clear saved faxes.
    If you are still having issues, then follow this document.
    Cannot Send or Receive Faxes.
    Sorry for all the questions, but it will help to resolve this issue quicker.
    Did the fax test pass?
    What type of connection do you have? (Analogue, DSL, Cable Modem)
    Are you using a filter?
    Are you using the 2 wire fax cable?
    Do you have distinctive ring set up on the line?
    Is there any voice mail set up?
    Do you have a answering machine? (Where is it connected to)
    Where is the fax cable connected to? (modem, wall jack)
    Is there a phone also connected the printer?

  • Can Receive Text But Not Send

    When I try to send text messages I get a message that says "Network Not Responding."  Help?

    Lets try 3 things to resolve this issue:
    1. Could I get  you to make sure that you are getting a good signal on the phone.  
    2. Next could I get you to update the PRL by dialing *228 send and option 2 on the phone.
    3 Then could I get you to make sure that you are using the mobile number area code first when sending  a message.  
    If the problems persist, power the phone off, then back on, and dial your mobile number and end the call.  Then try sending another message.

    Most, if not all internet service providers block the use of SMTP servers that are outside of their network or not provided by the ISP being used for your internet connection at the time unless the SMTP server is authenticated.
    Who are you using as your internet service provider at the time?
    Does your ntlworld email account have an authenticated SMTP server.
    I believe Yahoo does for a Yahoo account.

    Try going into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > select the account > account name , tap on SMTP (under the 'Outgoing Mail Server' heading) and then tap on your Primary Server and try entering your email account and password and see if you can then send emails

    Sorry i asked this on you discussion, but its soo confusing .
    The mobile phone looking number is what you call the message center number. Contact your service provider to get the actual one. Then, make sure that you have the same number updated in Messaging -> Options -> Settings -> Text messages -> Msg. centre in use.
    This is not your "actual phone number".

    My gmail, which is correctly configured for Mail with gmail SMTP and Google IMAP, works for awhile on Mail, which I leave open while working on other applications. But several times a day I get msg from Google: "We recently blocked a sign-in attempt to your Google Account" . . . and requiring me to verify my account details, re-enter passwords, confirm security settings (or change them from "disable" to "enable less secure methods" and so on). In Mail I also have tried "taking all accounts online", and re-entering my gmail password inside Mail account settings. These steps successfully re-set comms between gmail and Mail ... for awhile, then it happens again. Enough occurrences over a work day that I just quit Mail and revert to accessing gmail directly. Apple Care advisor and an Apple knowledge base article say that Apple can't deal with this, as gmail is third-party app, and they refer me to gmail, and so far I've found nothing helpful there.
    From today I also have several instances of a window saying "Mail has unexpectedly closed" and asking me to Re-open it.
    I also use Yahoo mail, which stops working with Mac Mail at the same time as gmail, but I do not receive notices to re-verify from Yahoo.
    I recently upgraded from Mavericks to Yosemite. The Mail problem happened occasionally with Mavericks but is far more frequent with Yosemite.

    It would seem the IMAP or POP side is logged in bit the out going STMP server is not.
