Adding a additonal TAB

Dear Experts,
I am working ECC6.0 system.I have to add a additional TAB in a TABstrip for a screen (FMCACOV:Business partner overview).
The Program for the transaction is RFMCA_COV. Please let me know the steps to proceed for these.

Problem adding a new tab to e-Recruiting

Hi,
I am facing the following problem in adding a new tab in the E-Recruitment (Manpower Requisition) application. The developer had created a new BSP page of the following information.
Name space: SAP
Application: ZHR_MPOWER_REQ
Controller URL: MPR.DO
A customized element (9001) had also been created with the above information.
I have also created a context ZTEST and a Container Seq '1000' and under the Container Seq, I have allocated a few assignment of Element of which I have assigned the new element - 9001.
Having assigned the above, I am still unable to see the new tab in the link. Please let me know if there are any missing steps.

Alvin, i could not see why you could not see the BSP Page.
Please got to t-code SLG1 and check the log's why it's not coming.

Saving custom fields to MSEG added in additional TAB in MIGO transaction

Hi Experts,
I am facing an issue with an enhancement in MIGO transaction for which i need help. I have gone through several threads with similar issues but none of them have solved my issue. I have worked around with all BADIs of MIGO and user exits available but to no avail so I am posting a new thread.
The requirement is pretty straight forward of adding a custom TAB in item details section of MIGO transaction. I have done that using BADI: MB_MIGO_BADI, method PBO_DETAIL. I created a screen with my custom fields and passed them in this method. The TAB appears as expected with all the fields. The custom fields are in MSEG table which has been enhanced and it needs to be updated with the user values on the screen.
The issue creeps in when there are multiple materials in the purchasing document and user works around with them. Say he clicks on the second material and in the custom TAB changes its details in custom fields. Now he clicks on the fourth material and changes its details. Continues this for all the materials in random order. How do i identify in my custom screen [developed separately and called in PBO_DETAIL of the BADI] which details belong to which material or line number. The only way to do it is by using the purchasing order number and line item number. These are not available in my custom screen and needs to be exported from somewhere and imported there. I have not been able to identify the point where export can be done.
Can anyone help me out with this problem? Either the point where export can be done or any other way of identifying the link between the line number / material number and the custom field details entered by the user.

Hi Ritvik,
you will not need it.
The item methods will process exactly the item what the addional item data are related to. In PBO_DETAIL and PAI_DETAIL, use parameter I_LINE_ID for the item reference.
Note: Not only read SCN etc, also the parameters desciption of the methods used.

i want to make this tab to be shown on the screen when the order type is UB is stock purchase order.i dont know how to make this condition and where should i place it so that this tab can come in effect only when the stock purchase order appears.

Hi prime_anthony and thank you for asking. I do not think this is a Firefox limitation because I have been accessing my OWA too via Firefox on a Linux machine. I can login using my domain account and password without any problem and without using IE-Tab add-on.
It probably depends on the version of the Outlook Web Access or the Exchange Server. Newer versions of these already have Firefox supported.

Adding a new tab in PPOME

We have a requirement like adding a new tab in the trasaction PPOME.
Can somebody share their knowledge on this.

All infotypes that are to be added to the transaction, either SAP or Customer MUST have a screen 7000. This makes integration very simple. Another option is to develop a Module Pool with a screen and code to present one or many infotypes, but this is very time consuming compared with simply adding 7000 as a copy of 2000.
In the case of SAP, standard infotypes that must added without an existing screen 7000 a screen 9000 must be created to take the place of the 7000. Screen 9000 is in the customer name space but must be created in the SAP development class. for example 9000 screens has to be created for infotypes 1005, 1037 and 1050. Requests has to be made for development of screens for 1005 and 1016, but due to the special nature of the screens it was not possible.
Entries must be made in T77ID to reflect the additional screen.
Configuration Steps
Various steps must be performed to achieve the requirements, which include:
Removing Tabs
Adding Tabs
Adding Search Nodes
Scenario Scenario OME0 is configured to reflect the requested changes. View T77OMTABUS defines the tabs that are available by scenario per object.
Removing Tabs
Maintain View T77OCTABUS
Add Object and Tab page entries for the correct scenario to remove entries.
Adding Tabs
The first step is to define a tab page in view T77OMTABS. In most cases, this should be an Infotype specific entry that uses screen 7000. For solutions that are more complex a Module Pool can be developed.
Once added, perform the same step defined in Removing a Tab, it will have the reverse effect. Use the Sequence number to determine order.
Adding a Search Area
To add an Area to a Search Node you must customize V77CSEAT. In this case, one entry was added for Object type C to allow for a search on Job Group/Family/Series.

Adding a new Tab - ME22n - Item Detail Level

This is a bit Urgent!
I need to add a Tab to a TabStrip in Item Detail level, in ME22n that has a count of 12.
Out of which 1 is custom made.
Someone else had done this development and i can't figure out how it's done.
Now, i am adding a 13th Tab.
There is a Enhancement Project made in CMOD.
Which has the component MM06E004 added to it.
I have added the subscreen 0201 to SAPLXM06.
And activated the both the enhancement Project and SAPLXM06.
In ME22n, i should be seeing the 13th Tab in the Item Detail level.
But i can't.
I have all together 23 fields... So i have no way but to add all the fields in a new Tab.
Please help.

Hi,
There are some points which you need to keep in mind before implimenting this exit.
First of all this is a transaction and check whether you need a selection screen ( of a program ) on your new tab which will be inserted in the transaction.
And to create a field you need to enable one of the screens depending on your requirement.

is not seen in the tab page it gives a blank page. We are using Cproject 4.0 can u help us.

That link doesn't tell you how to remove the Panoroma Tab Groups!! My main issue with it is that along my tabs at the top I no longer have the tab to open a new tab. Instead I have to click on the tab groups and then open them and click on an open area in the tab to get a new tab opened!! Is there a way to add that? I don't see that when I go to customize the tool bar as there's no icon to add it, just one to open a new window, which I don't want to do!! Thanks!!

Think about how many translations are required to move your avatar, then think how many translations are required to move everything else in the entire world. Depending on whether there is more to translate in your avatar or in the rest of the world, you have your solution.
Not knowing how your system works I can't really suggest anything further but could the collision avoidance be interacting with everything in the world as well? That would increase the workload somewhat.

Adding one more tab in apex 4.0??

In my home page, i already have a Tab thats having four different name.When i click on that name its navigating to four diffrent page
I want to add one more tab below the existing Tab,The new tab should contains these there values Home,Report1,REPORT2 when I click Report1 it should navigate to page 3 and similarly for remaining names.
I tried to create a new tab set as well as new tab..but that’s getting added in the same Tab. I have changed the Page template as Two level Tabs also but then also not getting resolved , do I have to set any properties?

Adding Windows Printer Tab in Snow Leopard

Hello,
I have a HP Deskjet F2280 connected Via USB into my Windows XP PC. I have been using this PC as a print server and have had no problems connecting to it through my macbook running leopard through SAMBA.
Now after my upgrade to SL i am unable to connect to the printer. I have tried deleting the printer under the printer system preferences, but i am now unable to add the printer again - I installed the printer in leopard 10.5 previously through the windows tab under add printer in printer preferences.
Now in SL the Windows tab is greyed out. I have doubled checked that my mac is part of my workgroup in the WINS tab in network preferences, and i have checked if file (SMB) and printer sharing are turned on. My firewall is also off. For some reason i cant work out why i cant add a windows printer. Does SL require a new way to register workgroups?
Any help would be appreciated.
P.S: I know HP drivers arent really supported in SL, but usually i could use the generic postscript driver, and this usually works under 10.5

I don't believe you need to do anything different in SL to connect to a Windows shared printer.
On my SL Mac, the Add Printer > Windows icon is still available and that is with both File and Printer sharing disabled on SL. I also don't a Workgroup name entered in WINS, although if you did I don't see this stopping the add Windows printer function.
If you open Finder, do you see the Windows box in the Shared view?
You may be able to work around the Add Printer issue by adding the Advanced menu to the Add Printer toolbar (control-click on the toolbar, select customize and drag the Advanced icon to the toolbar). If you then change the Type to Windows, you can enter the path to the printer in the URL section (smb://Windowsname/printer_sharename) and select the Generic PS in print using menu. Hopefully the Windows menu is available for you in this view...

Adding a new Tab to an existing JTabbedPane not working

I am trying to add & display a new tab to an existing JTabbedPane when the user
clicks on a button. For some reason the new tab, being added is not being displayed, and I don't know why. I have called invalidate(), validate() on the parent containers but haven't had any luck. I have also played around with SwingUtilities.invokeLater() and the Event thread, but have been unsuccessfull.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

MS,
Try copying one existing TAB and use that, this happens only when there is improper xml content. You can open the xml in the browser/visual studio for better clarity and then try making the changes. Doing IIS Reset will be required but in the meanwhile you
can put the original RCDC which will work till the time you make any change in new TAB.

Submited parameters are added to the tab link

I' have ULR-Portlets on my Tab at a portalpage.
When I do some work on one portlet (submit data), then the data will be added to the links to other tabs.
Tab-Link-Example:
http://<server>:7778/portal/page?_pageid=53,1,53_34989:53_35507:53_35579&_dad=portal&_schema=PORTAL&DATA=VALUE
When I change the tab, the new tab processes the data application goes wrong.
What can I do (configuration in the protal?) that the links on the tabs stays the same?

Hello, I presume you dont want the end-user editing these objects either? If thats the case then use static objects instead. Static objects are not included in the tabbing order. Yes, they are identified with a number when you enable the View | Tabbing Order but only to identify them as part of the reading order. Remember, the tabbing order and reading order share the same sequence. See if you can use a static image instead of an image field. I presume Text1 is already a static text object therefore it wont be tabbed into. If you cant replace the image field with a static image then you can use a workaround. You can protect the access to a field. Protected fields do not participate in the tabbing sequence. Designer does not expose this property so you will have to specify it manually. For example: 1. Select the image field. 2. Go to the XML Source. If it not opened, go to the View menu and select XML Source. It will show up besides the Preview PDF tab. 3. The <field> element will be highlighted. Type access=protected. For example: <field name="ImageField1" y="25.4mm" x="57.15mm" w="25.4mm" h="30.4mm" access="protected"> 4. Preview the form. Does this help solve your problem?
