Adding a hyperlink in an email?

I use entourage and I want to include a link in an email and have the recipient click on the link to open a webpage. I am not finding a way to do this, any thoughts?

All you have to do is copy and paste the link into the body of the email. What could be simpler?

Is it be possible to have a hyperlink in the email notification that goes to the approver ( for a leave ) so that the approver can click on the link and be taken straight to the ESS/ MSS portal to approve/reject the leave request?

Basically you can modify the standard task too. Of course it is not recommended, but maybe it is not that bad, if you only need to modify the work item text (and the variables are already available in the container, so you don't need to do any additional bidnings and container elements (or do you?)).
Other options is that you take a copy of TS12300097 and a copy of the leave request worfklow template, and then do the changes to these copies. Then you just need to remember to also check the SPRO settings, that your copy of workflow is started instead of the standard workflow.

Help with adding a hyperlink to a button?

We have a simple little site we built in Catalyst and everything works great. The only problem is that we cannot figure out how to add a hyperlink to one of the buttons in the animation. We simply want to be able to click on the button and go to another site (the client's Facebook page specifically). Can anyone provide some insight? Thanks!

Recently I have lost the ability to access hyperlinks from my email. Need help fixing this issue.

Try quitting Mail and then reset the iPad. Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Creatimg hyperlink within an email

How do you turn a site address into a hyperlink in an email?
Power PC G4(3.3) Mac OS X (10.3.9)

Yet hyperlinks sent to my parents' computers (Windows XP using Thunderbird) don't automatically work as hyperlinks. Yes it has the "http://" before it, and I've tried tinyurl in case the URL was split, but no luck. Yet it DOES work if I reply to that same message; somehow the quoting process enables Thunderbird to see it as a genuine hyperlink that is clickable.
Any thoughts how to save my annoyances at having to reply to enable broken hyperlinks?

Adding CC to all the emails

I have a situation where I want to CC all the email going from SIM to one id. I want that CC should automatically be added to each n every email going out of SIM
Any idea, how it can be achieved.

You could route all emails through a special SMTP host that could be setup to perform this for you. I use a special sendmail.cf for our testing environment so that all outbound eMails are simply dumped to a holding file (so our end users don't get test eMails). Sometime similar to this could be used for a production environment to copy outbound SIM mails to another address.

Creating a mailto: hyperlink when the email has a dot before the at ( @) sign

Hello,
I have a FM 7.2 document that includes an email with a dot in the first part:
[email protected]
When I distill the file and afterwards create the PDF the result is that the mailto includes only the part of the name that is after the dot [[email protected]] --what can I do to fix this? I have to be sure that I'm getting working email hyperlinks in the PDF of the email address in its entirety.
If it matters any, the OS is XP Pro.

Here is my guess: The "message URL mailto:[email protected]" hypertext marker is either not present in your FM file or is not processed by FrameMaker (which could happen if the syntax is incorrect, the marker type is not hypertext or Acrobat Data is turned off). And you are using Acrobat or Reader 7 to display the PDF.
Starting with Acrobat and Reader 7, there is a preference of "Automatically detect URLs from text" (Edit > Preferences, General; in version 8 it's called "Create Links from URLs"). When this is enabled (default), e-mail and web addresses present in the text are interpreted as links when the PDF is displayed (without any links defined in the authoring program). Acrobat 7.x interpretation of e-mail addresses is incorrect -- the presence of a dot, an underscores or a hyphen disturbs the address (so, as in your case, [email protected] is interpreted as [email protected]).
This was fixed in Acrobat/Reader 8, so if you display the same PDF in that environment the interpreted link will be OK. Nevertheless, I recommend adding/checking the hypertext link in FrameMaker, so that a "real" e-mail link will work as expected with all versions of Acrobat/Reader.

How can i create a hyperlink to individual emails?

I would like to be able to create a hyperlink to click through to individualk emails. I plan on creating a simple database in Excel and would like to be able to instantly access individual emails. I have done this in the past with files stored on my harddrive. It's a really useful way of managing thousands of emails.

thanks 'a brody' - i have found MailTags as a 3rd part app which may do the trick. in the past i have resorted to saving pdf print outs of mails to a hard drive and then using a hyperlink to the file. it just doesn't seem very elegant (this solution can be useful where i then share the database with colleagues using the same networked drive).
i can't imagine i'm the only person trying to categorise and track leads - perhaps i need to bite the bullet and source a really good CRM app?

I have 2 email accounts the second one i have only recently added, i have sent one email from my second account but i cant seem to send anymore, it says "cant send email with selected server" i am still able to send emails from my first account. Any ideas

How can I get a search bar added when trying to archieve emails in my IPhone's email app?

My IPhone email app is connected to my Outlook email system in which I have many archieved folders, when I want to place an email in my archieved folders on my IPhone I have to scroll a long list of archieved folders to find the right one, how can I get a search bar added to find it easier? My colleague' s Samsung has that function already and can't believe that Apple can be behind Samsung on this.

Hyperlink in obiee email reports

Well I have a question on hyperlink in obiee dashboards.
The requirement is to email obiee Report or dashboard with Hyperlink
enabled on date column which opens up PDF from the server for that
date.
End user will not access obiee analytics at all. They will access only their emails.
I have tried creating a sample dashboard and put a link on it for a
webpage. It works well inside when run or viewing a dashboard but link
doesn't work when emailed ,exported. The link doesn't even show on the
report.
Can you tell me if we can implement something like this in obiee to
enable hyperlink or action links when emailed too.

Since user is no access he not able to see the reports, try to give access or else create a common user and use that in the url.

Suddenly I can't open hyperlinks embedded in emails on my iphone 5 ios7

Hi there,
all of a sudden I now receive emails and am unable to open the hyperlinks contained in the emails. You touch the link and then it colours as if activated, the main loading logo comes up briefly and then stops. I've tried deleting and restoring my yahoo account but this has not resolved. Can anyone help?

Me thinks you have tried to connect to a shortcut folder and not a genuine folder.
Note Mac OS X in Mac OS X 10.4 has 3 popular folder shortcut locations:
The leftmost column of the Finder window.
The horizontal toolbar on the top of the Finder window
The translucent bar which can be anchored on the side or bottom of the screen known as the Dock. These are not true folder locations, but only locations for shortcuts. When you click on a folder for a volume that is not mounted, or is a folder which was deleted it will behave in this fashion. Often if you click on it the right fashion, it will change to a question mark.
In addition if it is an alias to an existing folder that has no contents, it will behave this way from the three shortcut locations.
If you right click instead of the left click a folder, it may think you want to do something to the folder which you can't do. Make sure your mouse button functions properly as a Primary button on Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Keyboard and Mouse.
Also make sure Universal Access is not turned on as it too can cause funny behavior in the mouse click actions, in Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Universal Access.

How to get newly added recipient on a reply email vs the old recipients already on the chain

Really need some help as hitting a dead end, hopefully someone here can help as always :-)
I'm trying to differentiate between old and new recipients on an email chain when a user replies / forwards an email. e.g. if a user receives an email with a few other people cc'd, selects reply all and then adds another new recipient before sending,
I want to be able to be able to get the email address of just the new recipient added.
One way I thought of was to look at the email body and see if the email / display name appears in the From: CC: headers that appear at the top of the previous message, however the user might have deleted these and also the new recipient may have the same
display name as an existing one, so this won't work.
Maybe there is a way to use the headers of the composed email before sending and compare to on the send event? Do the headers on send give any indication as to previous recipients vs new ones?

New items don't have the PR_TRANSPORT_MESSAGE_HEADERS set.

Nope. You need to check out the source message. The
ReplyRecipients property of the MailItem class returns a Recipients collection
that represents all the reply recipient objects for the Outlook item.
Or you may handle the Reply actions in the code. For example, you may consider repurposing the Reply buttons on the UI. See
Temporarily Repurpose Commands on the Office Fluent Ribbon for more information.
