Adding a new column to item overview screen 4900 in sales order transaction
Hi All,
I want to add a new column to refer to a custom field in screen 4900 ( Item overview screen ) in sales order transaction. Please suggest appropriate exit or BADI for the same. Give all steps to do the same.

As the link that RamKi let us know, this is a modification, so, I suggest to avoid. See SAP Note 862228 - Order reason for returns on item level for further information. I suggest to use the other enhancements in tabs.

I have developed enhancement for adding custom tabs with custom fields in header and item levels of ME2xN transactions using MM06E005 enhancement, but unable to add a field with new column in Item overview (The Middle one).

Functional Requirement: A new tab is needed to add in Purchase Order Transaction at the header level.
Technical Requirements: This functionality can be achieved using Customer-Exits where in SAP provides certain hooks for modifying standard SAP transactions. The enhancement MM06E005 is required to enhance standard screen. This enhancement consists of following exits.

Technical Solution.
The below steps are required to follow to accomplish the task.
1.Find the package name of the transaction by going to system->status.
2.Double click on Transaction name (for e.g. ME21N) look for package name.
Or
3.Double click on Program name (for e.g. SAPLMEGUI) ->click GO TO on menu bar->attributes, look for package name.
Or
4.Double click on Screen no (for e.g. 14) ->attributes, look for package name
5.Go to TCODE SMOD and press F4. Click on Information system and enter Package name
( for e.g. package Name ME was found from above points )
6.We see a list of exits for the mentioned package.
7 Go to TCODE CMOD->Enter a project name (for e.g. MMPRICE).
8 Press->create. If the enhancement MM06E005 is already assign to another project either deactivate it by pressing . Deactivate project button OR we can use that project itself.
9 Enter short text and save the project. Click on button. Type the required enhancement
And press Enter. Press button and save the project. Now we can see the list of exits which are
Required to enhance the screen. Activate the project by pressing activate project button . Check that all the Exits turn into green color.
10 First include fields in the structure CI_EKKODB. This will automatically update Po header Table (EKKO)
11 Use screen exit SAPMM06E 0101 CUSTSCR1 SAPLXM06 0101. Double click on it and activate to get customer ..Design your layout with five fields in screen editor. Name them taking
Dictionary fields as reference (EKKO).Use the custom include programs which are provided for coding purpose.
12 Use exit EXIT_SAPMM06E_006 to get data from existing purchase order. This Function exit consist of import parameters I_EKKO which contains data for corresponding purchase order.
13 Use exit EXIT_SAPMM06E_008 to transport data from purchase order customer screen to changing parameter E_CI_EKKO.The data which is entered on custom screen will be send to this structure and when saved, updates the table EKKO.

PO Screen Layout change, Addition of one column in Item Overview screen!

I have one typical requirement where in user wants to add one column in the Item overview screen, example "Reason for ordering" which is there in Item Detail under Retail Tab!
Can anyone suggest, How can i get this done? and also i want to know if there is any possibility to add this field at header level??

Order quantity field in the item overview tab of a sales order

I would like to make the order quantity field inactive, i.e., the field should be greyed out, when i enter the transaction VA01.
Is there any way this can be done through functional configuration?

MRUnfortunately, it doesn't.
The requirement was to adapt transaction's layout in order to disable editing (e.g. turning it to grey, disactivating the field) for a particular field. This kind of job should be done dinamically as it interests only some kind of Purchase Requisitions (whose attributes should be checked "runtime").
I found a good user exit which is executed every time a PR is loaded from Enjoy transactions ME51N/ME52N/ME53N in which i can easily check if prerequisites for the "locked field" exist... but there's no visibility over the right SCREEN in that user exit (and also, I tried, in ANY of the std userexit) so I don't know how to tell the transaction "hey, for this order turn the EPSTP (=pstyp in EBAN) grey since it must be not-modifiable".

VBAP append structure field on Overview screen 4900
Hi,
I have created an append structure on VBAP with a ZZ field and have included this field on the table control in the overview (sub)screen 4900 in SAPMV45A.
I have put the field in a number of the PAI CHAIN statements, but whenever I enter a value in the field and hit Enter, the value disappears.
Does anyone have a definitive list of places that I need to change code to stop the field contents dissappearing?

AndrewHi - I have the issue of presenting ZZ fields from VBAP in the Item overview screen 4900. From your conversation I cannot see any solution to your similar issue. Did you do modifcations or is there a SAP way to include ZZ fileds in the 4900 screen?

Generally through the INCL_EEW* structures,you can add the custom fields for the Bid Item only under the BASIC DATA tab.If you want to show up a field on the Item overview screen,then this will need std code modification(screen modification) or need to modify the HTML template for the BID item overview screen in the ITS service BBP_QUOT which will need lot of HTML expertise.

Issue adding a new column to OBIEE presentation layer
Hi,
I am pretty new to OBIEE so this may be a silly question. I am facing some problems trying to add a new column from a physical table the OBIEE presentation layer.
Below are the steps I followed:
Task: add a product category set to the presentation layer.
Steps:
1) First verified that the product category set is being populated in the W_PROD_CAT_DH table in the datawarehouse. this was done by running the following sql
SELECT W_PROD_CAT_DH.TOP_LVL_PRODCAT_NAME
FROM W_PROD_CAT_DH, W_INVENTORY_PRODUCT_D
WHERE W_PROD_CAT_DH.integration_id = W_INVENTORY_PRODUCT_D.INV_PROD_CAT1
This sql gave the right category value.
2) created a "Alias" of the table W_PROD_CAT_DH in the OBIEE Admin tool physical layer. (done by right clicking W_PROD_CAT_DH >>New Object>> Alias)
3) named the Alias of W_PROD_CAT_DH as "Dim_W_INV_MKT_CAT" and created a key of the alias named "integration id" on the column "integration_id"
4) opened the pre-existing alias of W_INVENTORY_PRODUCT_D the alias was called "Dim_W_INVENTORY_PRODUCT_D" and added a key called "MKT_CAT" on the column "INV_PROD_CAT1" in this alias (Dim_W_INVENTORY_PRODUCT_D of the table W_INVENTORY_PRODUCT_D)
5) in the alias of the "W_INVENTORY_PRODUCT_D" called "Dim_W_INVENTORY_PRODUCT_D" added a "Foreign Keys" the expression of the key is following: ("Oracle Data Warehouse"."Catalog"."dbo"."Dim_W_INV_MKT_CAT"."INTEGRATION_ID" = "Oracle Data Warehouse"."Catalog"."dbo"."Dim_W_INVENTORY_PRODUCT_D"."INV_PROD_CAT1")
Logical layer
6) Opened the existing logical folder called "Dim - Inventory Product" and clicked on "Sources" tab then double clicked the source "Dim_W_INVENTORY_PRODUCT_D" and added a new mapping under "Map to these tables" under "General" tab. The column that was added was the physical alias "Dim_W_INV_MKT_CAT"
7) added a new column mapping to the same logical table source (Dim_W_Inventory_PRODUCT_D) this new mapping was a column from the alias "Dim_W_INV_MKT_CAT" (column name "TOP_LVL_PRODCAT_NAME")
Presentation Layer
8) dragged the newly added column (TOP_LVL_PRODCAT_NAME) from the logical layer "Dim - Inventory Product" to the presentation layer "Product" folder.
ISSUE
after adding everything and checking global consistency and save and checking-in my work when i login from the front end presentation services. I see the newly added column is showing under the "Product" folder. on dragging the column by itself to the Ad-Hoc analysis I can see the different values of the category. On adding a second column from the same logical folder (Dim - Inventory Product in logical layer) i still see the right product name and corresponding category. BUT when I drag any other column from any other folder (such as "Day" from "Time" or any fact values) the result does not fetch any data (message: The specified criteria didn't result in any data.)
I am not sure if I am missing any step but I know I am mapping the new table alias to the inventory_product_d since i see right results on creating analysis of columns in those two folders. but no other folders give me any data.
I also know that the logical folder "Dim - Inventory Product" is joined with other tables as I can see results when i do not add the newly added catagory column but other folder and other columns of "Dim - Inventory Product"
I would really appreciate any insight to this very much. we are using OBIEE 11.1.1.6 with the Oracle 11.5.10 Adaptor (SDE_ORA11510_Adopter)

You can edit it from screen painter.. directly....with edit mode....
> 1. goto -> secondary window -> dictionary fields or program fields...
> 2. enter the table or program name... and drag that filed in to your table control header
