Adding an area for text and importing HTML from Photoshop.

Okay, here's the skinny:
I've designed a homepage in photoshop and have decided to export it using the "save for web and devices" option in Photoshop. I've basically sliced the image up into different areas and now that I have it sliced and saved I am looking to import it into dreamweaver, which is actually really easy and caused me no issues.
My question is regarding adding text to such a page, which is now in dreamweaver and all I have is images as the web page. Can I just delete the images, and some of them are just blank black space that i've specifically sliced in the photoshop in case I want to add text in those areas later, and just add text in those areas? Do I need a div tag in that situation? Sometimes when I try and just add text the text pushes the rest of the images to the right when I reach the edge of the space I am using to type text. I guess you've probably established I am kind of new to this and doing it in a completely amateur way, but at this point all I am trying to do is create a sample for someone. I am not in the business of web design or plan on getting into it at any point. This is mostly for fun for me and screwing around.

Sadly, this is an all too familiar lament in these forums. Graphics apps produce crappy HTML pages. They're only good for quick comps to show the client before you go to all the trouble of re-building the design with CSS and HTML code. Use Pshop for images only. Use DW to build your web pages.

ORA 1542 - tablespace 'USER' is offline and cannot allocate space in it.how to resolve it About the error ORA-01542 you have to bring the Tablespace USERS online:

If you cannot bring it online you may have to Recover it first.
I have been trying export and import options in oracle but m not very clear about the procedure..About the Export in 10g and Import in 9i (9.2 or 9.0.1 ?), you have to export with the Export utility of the Target Database (the lowest Database version here: 9.0.1 or 9.2) then, you have to Import to the Target Database using its Import utility (in 9.0.1 or 9.2).

NB: You cannot use here the DATAPUMP.

Can I import HTMLs from inside the project and use as portlet page ?

As you know, I am using Java Studio Creator 2 Update 1 for my current portal project. I have created JSR-168 JSF Portlet Project for my portlet development.
As I have some html pages ready for my development,
Can I import HTMLs from inside the project and use as portlet page for my project?
I did the followings steps:
1: In side the project - File -> Add Existing Item -> Web Page ( imported test.html page from my local folder)
2: Let it convert some of the tags for me ( so now it becomes - �test.jsp� )
3: Set it to initial view.
4. A default portlet page � newPortletPage.jsp is still there with no initial view.
Now after doing this, No Visual Designer and Properties window available to for that �test.jsp� page. Though it allowed me to �build� the project successfully.
When I build and run the portlet application, got the error message �Error occurred in portlet!� on Pluto Portal. Please advice.

You do not open fcpproject files. You don't double click or anything else. The files have to be in the correct folder structure in the Final Cut Projects folder and the application opens them automatically. Can you post screen shots of the Final Cut Projects folder and its location.

   In addition to what Camelot and nobody loopback point out, one must also consider the fact that UNIX text tools are largely line based. You also fail to tell us for what kind of text you are searching. If you are looking for multiple words, there's a very good chance of finding the expression wrapped onto different lines. With hyphenation, even single words can wrap to multiple lines. Tools that search line-by-line will miss these unless you use multiline techniques.
   Multiline substitutions require that you write "read-ahead" code for the command line tool that you're using and that you take that into account in the substitution. Given how you want the results to be printed out, you may also want to preserve any newlines found in the match, which is even more difficult. That could bring up the subject of line endings but that's a completely different topic.
   I apologize if this sounds discouraging. Multiline searches aren't needed that often and in most of those cases, exceptions can be dealt with by hand. I just didn't want you to get surprised by it. To give you an idea of how easy basic substitution is, have a look at Tom Christiansen's Cultured Perl: One-liners 102 and One-liners 101. Both have some "in-place" substitution examples.

For each mail account, along with designating a primary SMTP server, you should be able to just turn off any and all other SMTP servers you have listed. In that case, if there is a problem with comcast, the message send should just fail.
Also make sure your comcast smtp settings are correct (port, likely 587 but might be something else for comcast, whether you should be suing SSL or not, do you need authentication or not).
You might find the comcast forums useful for getting the settings right - I found this:

The second poster notes, SSL should be on, authentication should be "password" and you should be using port 995

Different Ringtone Notifications for Text and Email

I would like to assign different ringtone notifications for texting and email, and if possible, different ringtones for each of my two email accounts. I need to see texts immediately, but not emails. Am picking up the phone 50 times a day so I don't miss a text, critical to my work. Could do this on Bb Storm, but can't figure out on Incredible. At a minimum, I would like to shutoff notification for email, and just get pinged for texts. Thanks!!

The default notification tone that you set in the Settings->Sound is for the default tone in the generic e-mail account and all other notifications. If you use the Gmail client, you can set your own personal ringtone in it's settings (Menu->Settings). In the messaging Application you can also set a custom notification sound from there as well (Menu->Settings)
As for different e-mail accounts using the same e-mail application, I don't think that is possible with the in stock app...tho I am not totally sure I haven't use it like that before.

Ok so I happened to figure it out while on the phone to apple support. Even though the guy was very nice, I think I knew more than him! He was explaining very basic resolution principles I played about. I had the second option in displays resolution. All I did was unplug the HDMI cable, click on 'best for display' then plugged the HDMI in and my resolution on the normal monitor changed to the normal blue, then went black momentarily and then changed to a strange resolution but another window appeared that said SONY BRAVIA HDMI at the top! Hey presto! Don't know why it didn't do it yesterday - I probably left the HDMI cable in or something! Oh well. Problem solved!

You wouldn't be adding it, you'd be replacing iPhoto with it.
It does all the jobs that iPhoto does, and then some. You'll also find yourself using Photoshop less.

Which is better software for brochures and PDF forms ? Photoshop or InDesign ? and why ?

If you are going to be making a lot of brochures, with photos, you probably want both. Photoshop to edit the photos, and InDesign to assemble and layout images with text.
