Addition does not take place

Has anybody an idea what is wrong here.
Variable gv_out provides the current time but not the result after
addition.

the variable OUTPUT has some prob..
when u write HOURS to OUTPUT(3).. then two spaces are coming in first two chars...
thats why <b>gv_input</b> variable is not in correct format...
U shud use differnt FM... or write ur own routine to do this operation...
2nd FM is working fine if u pass the correct value of gv_input to it...

Hi Rakhi,
Actually there is no relationship between the field on sales order & the field on delivery, for both the document it is separate field.
This field is used for mentioning the order for the chain system.
for e.g. 'A' has given order to 'B' and 'B' has given order to 'C' in this process 'A' to 'B' is the first order & 'B' to 'C' is the second order.
You can use UDF to pull the order no. in delivery.

Cannot create sales order as profit center assignment does not take place

Hi,
I am trying to create a sales order but am unable to create it as the profit center value is not picked up the value from material master.And hence, the incompletion log prevents me from creating the sales order. I seem to have done everything correct so far but somehow the profit center field (Account Assignment Tab at item level) remains empty. Instead, i can find the profit center value in "Assignment to Profitability segment".
What should i do so that my sales order picks up the profit center information ?

Account determination does not take place

Have created the billing document but the account document has not been created for this ,what are the possible causes for this pls advice

Possible causes as far as I know:
G/L assignment not fulfilled: please check VKOA. Then check all items in the billing document to see whether an item missing a key, for example account key for a specific condition type. Any missing key at item level will cause entire document unable to post.
If related to costing accounting, assign cost object is mandatory.
If there be posting block, release it.
When you release it to accounting, you can see the error message.

Time capsule recognised over WiFi but back-up does not take place

Good day all from Paris,
MacBook OS X 10.5.3, Airport Utility with TC 7.3.1 and the lot on internal private network totally operational using an Orange LiveBox as DSL modem, router operating on WiFi.
My TC originally backed-up my system, on an Ethernet set up, successfully.
I have since tried (for past few days and dismally repeatedly failed more than a dozen times) to get it to effect back-ups based on new settings applicable to TC "joining" my home WiFi network.
TC light is fixed green, AiPort Utility recognizes TC and all described parameters seem ok for latter Wireless connection.
TM when initiated shows the TC disk, starts the Back-Up preparation but latter running blue/white running bar carries on running for hours without any backing taking place. I left it on twice overnight and nothing more happened.
I obviously did hard resets & reconfig of TC a few times to no avail versus above problem.?????
Anyone, please, can help?

In fact I fiddled with darn "paper weight" for a few days trying all possible Wireless configs and did quite a few soft & hart reboots of the TC box but, to no avail.
Best I obtained was a clean recognition of MacBook & TM/TC wirelessly with green light fixed on TC.
However when I started back-ups the TM indicator went on for hours (overnight in one attempt) with its silly blue & white progress bar showing "Preparing" but never going any further. Thus failure total & absolute.
On Discussion forum I however notice a controversial subject pertaining to deleting, via Disc Utility software of the Mac, the so called "sparsebundle" files when latter appearing in Finder & located within the TC disc.
I took the risk, as a last option, before using the TC as a useless paper weight, of getting Disc Utility erasing once & for all those "sparsebundles" files though, thus, leaving me with a zero back-up.
Once this done I launched back-up anew and miracle.. the bloody TC came immediatly into life and started backing-up. Conclusion: sparsebundles had to be, somehow, corrupted.
This solution, therefore, solved "my" problem but will it be applicable for you or others? Also the erasing of the sparsebundle files carries a risk for anyone who had, once upon a time, managed to do a successful back-up, be it via Ethernet or Wireless on the TC & that is that this/these back-up(s) will be gone forever..

Error: Assignment to feature PINCH did not take place

I am trying to do initial data entry using PB10, but the system is throwing an error as "Entry B02 does not exist in T526" (B02 is my personal Administrator) which I have maintained in T526 and when I try to continue removing the Pers Officer, the system is throwing an error as "Assignment to feature PINCH did not take place". The PINCH feature is also maintained for the applicant class
I have attached the screen shots here. Can some one help me out with the solution? Thanks in advance

Hi,
Adding a charachteristics is to have a place holder in your data target. In virtual char you make use of this field memory pointer to populate the data for this field.

The formula is put in the "Entity Curr Adjs" part of the Sub Calculate.
The expression is the following and apply for one entity (Holding method) I filtered previously and the ICP Entity has proportionnal method with 50% rate:

The data I would like to retrieve is the one in Contribution Value as I put on the source part of the expression.
And yet, the data I get is the one of the Entity Currency and Proportion Value, which is different because the ICP has proportionnal method (50%) and the Contribution value is the result of Proportion - Elimination values.
To sum up: I obtain a data of 50 instead of 25.
I checked that the data I see in my form corresponds to the source parameters but it seems that it does not take into account the Value parameter.
Could it be that it is not possible to use a Contribution Value source for an Entity Currency Adjs destination?

I see another problem in what you're trying to do. First, let me state what you're trying to establish: you are trying to get a value from one entity (say A) to another entity (say B), be it at [Proportion], [Elimination], [Contribution], ...
My question is: how can you know that during the consolidation process, by the time your code runs on B, A has already been processed and [Proportion], [Elimination] are not empty (or contain values from a previous consolidation run)?
The answer is "You don't". Theoretically, you have no control as per the order in which entities are calculated/consolidated during the process. Even more complex is the thing that if you have a multi-core machine, more than one entities may run in parallel, but still you cannot force A to run before B. I have done some tests and I've seen that in a one processor setting the order that entities enter in the process of consolidation matches the order you have placed them in the consolidation tree in metadata. Still this thing is not documented as far as I know and therefore you cannot rely on this.
Finally, I have also seen that in a simple case (B pulls from A), if you run consolidation twice, then you definitely get correct values. By the time you make a change in A, you have to run consolidation twice again to make sure that you get the correct data. I believe that you see that what I'm describing is good for experimenting but not for releasing to a client.
I tend to think of such a design, as a practice to avoid.

Data in cell does not take effect immed

Hi I have JTable with all cells editable.
Problem is when user click on a cell and enter the data. That data does not get immediately take effect in table model unless user click on some other cell.
How can i make data immediately available when for example user click on Change button and user does not have to click on any other cell.
eg...row has 4 columns.....123....456....date....date
if user changes 123 to 321...and click on CHange button i have in panel. ..it does not take effect.....user has to click on some other cell ie eg 456 cell.....then press Change button.
