Addition of a new row in  VO is not picked by EO.

Hi,
I have a page consisting of 2 table regions that fetch row data from a ParameterVO1 and ParameterVO2 ( 2 instances of same VO i.e. parameterVO).But, insertion of a row in ParameterVO1 doesn't make any change in no. of rows in paramterVO2.This may be happening because changes in ParameterVO1 is not reaching parameterEO.
Is there any way so that insertion of a row in VO updates EO too.
INSERION CODE:
Parameter1VOImpl paramVo1 = this.getParameter1VO1();
Parameter1VORowImpl row1 = (Parameter1VORowImpl)paramVo1.createRow();
row1.setName("TEST345");
row1.setType("HARDCODED");
row1.setServiceoperationid("Test20_Createtest20");
row1.setOperationid(operation);
row1.setParameterid(operation + "_TEST345");
paramVo1.insertRow(row1);

Hi Nibha,
Table maintenance generator screen is an automatically generated screen. You cannot to any changes in that and neither can you do the changes in the PBO and/or PAI.
You can do it but it will ask you for SAP key etc. So there's not need to do it that way.
What you could do is;
1. Go to the table maintenence generator from SE11, in Change Mode.
2. Click on change icon. The system will show the 'Change Generation Elements' screen where it sill ask you the resson
    for change.
3. Click on the New Field/Sec. table in struction (or whichever is appropriate/applicable in your case)
4. Press Ok (Tick sign).
5. Then it will show you the ''Change Generation Elements: Detail' screen.Here;
       =>  You will select the maintenance screen that you wish to change( Overview/Single).
       =>   And the Field Type. Whether it is a key field or normal field.
              Select which ever is applicable.
6. The system will then re-generate the screen for you and - You'll Smile! - that you got the answer!
Cheers!

  • Exchg rate from new exch type X is not picked up in Treasury transactions

    Dear All,
    I am maintaining a new exchange rate type for treasury transactions called "x". I have made all the settings required for this. Following is the series of steps configured to pick up the exchange rate maintained for type "x" for a Interest rate instrument foreign currency transaction.
    *Genaral Settings*
    1) Define exchange Rate(E Rt) type 'X'.
    2) Define translation ratios for curr translation
         X     usd     inr     1:1
         X     inr     usd     1:1
    3) Define new doc type "ZF" with exch rate type "X"
    4) Define Exch rate calculation indicator
         02     X     X
    *Treasury settings*
    5) Define company code additional data
         Rate Calculated     02
         Rate type(Debit)     X
         Rate type(crdit)     X
    6) Assignment of valuation areas to accounting codes
         ER type      X
    7) Define account determination
    Doctype "ZF" assigned to the relevant posting specs
    Document Splitting
    8) Classify doc types for doc splitting
         ZF     0000     0001
    9) Exch Rate of "X"
    X     01.01.2006     usd     47.36     inr
    after maintaining all these details I am trying to post an FC transactio using tcode TBB1. Everything is fine no errors nothing I can post the document also but THE EXCHANGE RATE MAINTAINED FOR TYPE X IS NOT PICKED INSTEAD RATE FOR TYPE M IS PICKED UP".
    please advise if i missed something. I am not able to trace why the SAP is picking rate from type M when I made settings to pick the rate from type X.

    Hi
    Generally for posting FI documents (which is what this T Code does) , M alone is used which is the standard SAP system functionality. For other purposes like valuation, translation, etc. we can have different exchange rate types.

  • No new rows or columns because the axis is not input-ready

    Hi Gurus,
    I have a problem when I am modelling the Order and Revenue Planning.
    In my model I have Base Unit and Currency as Unit characterstics.
    When I take Currency as INR and Base Unit Multiple Values then I can create a new row in my planning layout.
    If I take currecy also multiple values, system is throwing following message "No new rows or columns because the axis is not input-ready" and not allowing me to create new rows(rather it is not displaying the new rows). But Query is Input Ready.
    Could any one suggest solution for this.....
    Waiting for your reply......
    Thanks and Regards,
    Arun.

    Hi Arun,
    I know exactly what you are trying to do.  Don' t waste your time any further on it.   The story would have been different if the entire layout was on a single currency(header or filtered).
    For your problem....
    First of all you cannot use 0AMOUNT.  As it will not allow you to seperate 0Currency from 0Amount as it is already defined in the 0Amount Infoobject. Even if you try to add 0Currency AGAIN as a "separate" characteristic in the row of Query.  So you will have to now provide 2 currency values to 0Currency(in the row) as well as 0Currency in the 0Amount (which you cannot select in Query Designer).  Because the system will still be looking for 0Currency value embedded to 0Amount.  The only way you can do is by using a Custom Key Figure with No Dim.  I mean, ZAmount with no Unit/Currency in the infoobject definition.
    Let Currency be an attribute of Order.  Display this currency attribute in the row of the layout, just so the users know which currency they are going to enter values on.  It(currency) is only for informational purpose and not to think that the values entered initially by the users are stored along with the same currency.  And then after the user enters values on this ZAMOUNT, upon save use Fox behind the scene to copy this over to real "0Amount".  Fox should read the Order currency(attribute) and store the currency into along with the 0Amount(and 0currency).  All other Char stored by user should be copied as is in the Fox.
    The same logic applies to 0Quantity(with unit).
    Hope this solution works for you.  Let us know if this is possible.

  • BI Integrated Planning: Not possible to enter „new rows“ in Webtemplate

    Hello Experts,
    we are trying to use the BI integrated planning, in particular we want to use the manual planning functionality with „new rows“, that means we want to create new rows for combinations of characteristics for which no data has been entered / loaded yet.
    To test this functionality, we´ve built a very simple example consting of
    -     a real time info cube with 4 characteristics, 1 key figure and one time characteristic
    -     an aggregation level which contains the 4+1 characteristics
    -     an input-ready query
    -     a web-template with an analysis grid, sth. to select the characteristics, eg. drop-down-boxes or a navigation pane and a button to save the entered data
    But now it is not possible for us to create new rows to enter data. The error message that is displayed in the top of the screen reads „No new row / column inserted, since not all characteristics have a lead column“.
    The strange (?) thing is, that if we use the navigation pane, it is possible to draw the time characteristic as the only element to the „rows“ – and then we can enter the time characteristic, but not the key figure !
    We´ve succeeded in entering data for „new rows“ using BexAnalyzer, but we really need this functionality within a web template.
    Btw, I think we´ve done the necessary adjustements for the web template (e.g. for the analysis grid „number of new rows“ and so on)
    According to our SAP Basis Administration, the OSS-Note No 984601 has already been installed.
    What do we have to do if we want to enter data in new rows ? We would already be happy with a simple example / how to to know what we have do to do to build a very simple web application !
    Many thanks for any help !
    Frank

    Okay, it has been solved (answered by SAP-Support) ! It´s so easy: the only thing you have to do is to display only keys, no text, in the query !

  • Can iOS Numbers copy formulas when adding new rows?

    iOS Numbers table add row is not copying previous cell formulas. Is this supported or not?
    I have a table with lots of columns and all of them have formulas. When I click at the lower left of the table to add a row, none of the new cells have the formulas. I have to manually go through every column and copy the formulas to the new row.
    This is not very practical if you're planning to use Numbers on the go with an iPad. In my case, I have to quickly get a new row ready as needed. I was hoping there is a preference setting somewhere like "copy formulas when adding new row".

    I had the same issue with the added twist that I wanted to reference the created cells in formulas in other sheets. This is what works for me:
    I use a form to enter data. The referenced sheet is set up like this:
    1     Name     Date     ServPayment    SalesPayment     Total
    2     Week1                                                                 =sum (ServPayment,SalesPayment)
    3                                                                                =sum (ServPayment,SalesPayment)
    4     TotWeek1                                                            =sum (Total2,Total3)
    "Total" sums the 2 Payments, TotWeek1 sums the totals.
    In the entry form I never add data to the empty line. In this example, I would start at "Week1" and tap the "+" to add a new form. This creates the line in the referenced sheet with my formulas. As I continue, I always start at the last entry I have made and tap "+".
    When I create a line that does not have the formula on either side, I do not get the formula.
    Hope this helps.

  • FillBy always fills in the same row in data grid view. How to make it fill in a new row for each click of the Fillby Button? VB 2010 EXPRESS?

    Hi there,
    I am a beginner in Visual Basic Express 2010. I have a Point of Sale program that uses DataGridView to display records from an external microsoft access
    database using the fillby query.
    It works, but it repopulates the same row each time, but i want to be able to display multiple records at the same time, a new row should be filled for
    each click of the fillby button.
    also I want to be able to delete any records if the customer suddenly decides to not buy an item after it has already been entered.
    so actually 2 questions here:
    1. how to populate a new row for each click of the fillby button
    2. how to delete records from data grid view after an item has been entered
    Thanks
    Vishwas

    Hello,
    The FillBy method loads data according to what the results are from the SELECT statement, so if there is one row then you get one row in the DataGridView, have two rows then two rows show up.
    Some examples
    Form load populates our dataset with all data as it was defined with a plain SELECT statement. Button1 loads via a query I created after the fact to filter on a column, the next button adds a new row to the existing data. When adding a new row it is appended
    to the current data displayed and the primary key is a negative value but the new key is shown after pressing the save button on the BindingNavigator or there are other ways to get the new key by manually adding the row to the backend table bypassing the Adapter.
    The following article with code shows this but does not address adapters.
    Conceptually speaking the code in the second code block shows how to get the new key
    Public Class Form1
    Private Sub StudentsBindingNavigatorSaveItem_Click(
    sender As Object, e As EventArgs) Handles StudentsBindingNavigatorSaveItem.Click
    Me.Validate()
    Me.StudentsBindingSource.EndEdit()
    Me.TableAdapterManager.UpdateAll(Me.MyDataSet)
    End Sub
    Private Sub Form1_Load(sender As Object, e As EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load
    'TODO: This line of code loads data into the 'MyDataSet.Students' table. You can move, or remove it, as needed.
    Me.StudentsTableAdapter.Fill(Me.MyDataSet.Students)
    End Sub
    Private Sub Button1_Click(sender As Object, e As EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
    Me.StudentsTableAdapter.FillBy(Me.MyDataSet.Students, ComboBox1.Text)
    End Sub
    Private Sub Button2_Click(sender As Object, e As EventArgs) Handles Button2.Click
    Me.MyDataSet.Students.AddStudentsRow("Jane", "Adams", "Female")
    End Sub
    End Class

    Using cn As New OleDb.OleDbConnection With {.ConnectionString = Builder.ConnectionString}
    Using cmd As New OleDb.OleDbCommand With {.Connection = cn}
    cmd.CommandText = InsertStatement
    cmd.Parameters.AddWithValue("@CompanyName", sender.CompanyName)
    cmd.Parameters.AddWithValue("@ContactName", sender.ContactName)
    cmd.Parameters.AddWithValue("@ContactTitle", sender.ContactTitle)

    Identfier = CInt(cmd.ExecuteScalar)
    End Using
    End Using
    Catch ex As Exception
    Success = False

    In closing I have not given you a solution but hopefully given you some stuff/logic to assist with this issue, if not perhaps I missed what you want conceptually speaking.

  • How to apply the constraint ONLY to new rows

    Hi, Gurus:
       I have one question as follows:
       We need to migrate a legacy system to a new production server. I am required to add two columns to every table in order to record who updates the row most recently through triggers, and  I should apply not null constraint to the columns . However, since legacy system already has data for every table, and old data does not have value for the 2 new columns. If we apply the constraint, all of existing rows will raise exception. I wonder if there is possibility to apply the constraint ONLY to new rows to come in future.
    Thanks.
    Sam

       We need to migrate a legacy system to a new production server. I am required to add two columns to every table in order to record who updates the row most recently through triggers, and  I should apply not null constraint to the columns .
    The best suggestion I can give you is that you make sure management documents the name of the person that came up with that hair-brained requirement so they can be sufficiently punished in the future for the tremendous waste of human and database resources they caused for which they got virtually NOTHING in return.
    I have seen many systems over the past 25+years that have added columns such as those: CREATED_DATE, CREATED_BY, MODIFIED_DATE, MODIFIED_BY.
    I have yet to see even ONE system where that information is actually useful for any real purpose. Many systems have application/schema users and those users can modify the data. Also, any DBA can modify the data and many of them can connect as the schema owner to do that.
    Many tables also get updated by other applications or bulk load processes and those processes use generic connections that can NOT be tied back to any particular system.
    The net result is that those columns will be populated by user names that are utterly useless for any auditing purposes.
    If a user is allowed to modify a table they are allowed to modify a table. If you want to track that you should implement a proper security strategy using Oracle's AUDIT functionality.
    Cluttering up ALL, or even many, of your tables with such columns is a TERRIBLE idea. Worse is adding triggers that server no other purpose but capture useless infomation but, because they are PL/SQL cause performance impacts just aggravates the total impact.
    It is certainly appropriate to be concerned about the security and auditability of your important data. But adding columns and triggers such as those proposed is NOT the proper solution to achieve that security.
    Before your organization makes such an idiotic decision you should propose that the same steps be taken before adding that functionality that you should take before the addition of ANY MAJOR structural or application changes:
    1. document the actual requirement
    2. document and justify the business reasons for that requirement
    3. perform testing that shows the impact of that requirement on the production system
    4. determine the resource cost (people, storage, etc) of implementing that requirement
    5. demonstrate how that information will actually be used EFFECTIVELY for some business purpose
    As regards items #1 and #2 above the requirement should be stated in terms of the PROBLEM to be solved, not some preconceived notion of the solution that should be used.
    Your org should also talk to other orgs or other depts in your same org that have used your proposed solution and find out how useful it has been for them. If you do this research you will likely find that it hasn't met their needs at all.
    And in your own org there are likely some applications with tables that already have such columns. Has anyone there EVER used those columns and found them invaluable for identifying and resolving any actual problem?
    If you can't use them and their data for some important process why add them to begin with?
    IMHO it is a total waste of time and resources to add such columns to ALL of your tables. Any such approach to auditing or security should, at most, be limited to those tables with key data that needs to be protected and only then when you cannot implement the proper 'best practices' auditing.
    A migration is difficult enough without adding useless additional requirements like those. You have FAR more important things you can do with the resources you have available:
    1. Capture ALL DDL for the existing system into a version control system
    2. Train your developers on using the version control system
    3. Determining the proper configuration of the new server and system. It is almost a CERTAINTY that settings will get changed and performance will suffer even though you don't think you have changed anything at all.
    4. Validating that the data has been migrated successfully. That can involve extensive querying and comparison to make sure data has not been altered during the migration. The process of validating a SINGLE TABLE is more difficult if the table structures are not the same. And they won't be if you add two columns to every table; every single query you do will have to specify the columns by name in order to EXCLUDE your two new columns.
    5. Validating the performance of the app on the new system. There WILL BE problems where things don't work like they used to. You need to find those problems and fix them
    6. Capturing the proper statistics after the data has been migrated and all of the indexes have been rebuilt.
    7. Capturing the new execution plans to use a a baseline for when things go wrong in the future.
    If it is worth doing it is worth doing right.

  • How do I create a new row on tab out of the last column, last row?

    JDev 11.1.2.1.0.
    I've seen a few topics on this but none that I think were really very good solutions.
    Use Case:
    On tab out of the last column in the last row, a new row should be added to the end of the table. Bonus points for setting the focus to the first <af:inputText> of the newly created row.
    Complications:
    1. I'm having a heck of a time trying to find a function that returns the column's displayed index. Sadly, <column binding>.getDisplayIndex() returns -1 unless the user has manually re-ordered the column.
    2. Value Change Listeners only fire if there is a value change. Guess that means I need to do client/server listeners to check each and every <af:inputText> for a tab press?
    3. I'm not even going to get into setting the focus. With all the templates, regions, etc. going on, it's dang near impossible.
    Any ideas on how to attack this one?

    Hi,
    You will need to use the Run Engine Installation Wizard found on the Tools menu. In addition you need to create a installation set for the operator interface.
    Look at Chapter 16 Distrubuting TestStand ( chapter 17 for version 2).
    Once you have created your installation, install is on your new system.
    The serial number etc is part of the process model. When you run the entry point 'Test UUTs' the PreUUT callback is executed which asks the user for the serial number.
    Hope this helps

  • How to stop insert of new row in tabular form if it's also being deleted

    Suppose you have a tabular form, and one of the fields is a not-null column. A user checks a button to "add additional row", which adds a new row to the form, defaulting that not-null column to null. Assume it's a name or something, so there is no reasonable non-null default value that can be entered here to keep it from being null.
    Now suppose the user makes a series of changes on the page, but then decides they don't want that row they just added, so they mark it for deletion, then click on "Delete Checked Rows". The not-null column was left blank.
    The page is constructed in such a way that the ApplyMRD process runs first, then the ApplyMRU process. (I do this so that the user doesn't lose all their updates if they want to delete a row. I've had a few people complain when they tried to combine both operations, and unexpectedly lost their updates when they hit delete instead of submit.)
    What happens? The page errors out because the ApplyMRU process is trying to insert a row with a null value in a not-null column. The ApplyMRD process ran fine, but because the row marked for deletion didn't exist in the database to begin with, it effectively did nothing. But ApplyMRU still tries to add the row, even though it was marked for deletion.
    Is there any way to prevent this scenario from happening, without requiring the user to Cancel instead of deleting the blank row, which would cause all other changes on the page to be lost? I'd also like to avoid losing the ApplyMRU process when the user clicks "Delete", since it's more effective to combine operations and this will address the UI complaints I'd received otherwise.
    (This is on ApEx 4.0, if it matters.)
    Thanks,
    Keith

    Thinking about this some more, doing the delete and update together may not be an easy thing to accomplish after all.
    Consider the above scenario, but the user puts a dummy value like "ignore-me" into the not-null text field, so the error doesn't come up with ApplyMRU is fired. But if ApplyMRD runs before ApplyMRU, it still doesn't do anything because there is no row in the database with the value "ignore-me". Then ApplyMRU runs and it adds that row, even though it was marked for deletion.
    So you probably need to always run ApplyMRU before ApplyMRD. But then you wind up inserting a row before you delete it, and that may have unintended side effects, if the user really never wanted to add it in the first place.
    Right now, the only workaround I can think of is to:
    1) put ApplyMRU before ApplyMRD
    2) add a pre-commit validation that checks to see if a row is blank AND checked, and if so, put a dummy value into the not-null field
    3) let that row get added and then deleted, and make sure there are no side effects from this (for example, there is an audit table that tracks updates to the base table -- I can add a trigger that does nothing if presented with this dummy value)
    Hopefully, though, there is an easier and more "built-in" way to achieve what I'm aiming for.

  • Need to send text string to new row in expandable table

    I have a table that is a summary of other choices made throughout the document.  For specific check boxes in the form, there is a defined phrase that needs to be sent to a new row in the summary table.
    The general idea is that for checkbox:
    form1.sfMain.sfContent.tableC2.Row1.cbC2b6
    if (this.rawValue == "1") {
    this.resolveNode('form1.sfApp6.tableApp6A._Row1').addInstance(1);
    this.resolveNode("form1.sfApp6.tableApp6A.Row1[*].ddApp6A1c").rawValue = "Blue bottle";
    This needs to be something I can specify for each applicable checkbox (each will have a different text string), but I don't know what the final count is going to be (depends on choices made by the user) so I can't delete rows in the table and start over every time.  It needs to be additive.
    Any suggestions?

    For anyone needing the same thing, I found exactly what I needed:
    http://www.truetechtroubleshooting.com/2012/02/advanced-expanding-tables-and-script.html
    The hardest part of getting it working was figuring out how many parent levels I needed to add since I have a heavily layered form.

  • How to create multiple new rows in ADF Table?

    Hello,
    being new to ADF Faces/BC I managed to display data in an ADF Table and create new entries using the "CreateInsert" operation (one at a time).
    Now, the next task is to create multiple new rows at the same time, set some default values and display the new rows in the ADF table. Then the user will enter additional data and commit the new rows.
    Where do I step in? In the EntitiyImpl? Can this be handled declaratively or do I have to implement custom method(s) in the AM?

  • Retrieve new row's auto-increment key from dataprovider

    ** cross posted on SDN JSC Forum and Netbeans J2EE Nabble forum **
    I have a page that is bound to a MySQL table rowset or, alternately, a new (append()'ed) row. The row's Primary Key is a MySQL auto-increment Integer (translates to a Long.) After commit()'ing the the new row to the database, how would I then get the new row's ID (fieldname "ID")? If I refresh() the dataprovider and try to get the value an error is thrown.
    Some background: The dataprovider's backing rowset has a query parameter for the ID field. I set it to "0" if the page is creating a new row or I set it to the unique ID if the page is displaying an existing row. After the new row is committed, I need the new ID set the query parameter and synch up related rows in different tables that are keyed off the ID in this (master) table. I'd like to do this without "guessing" what the ID would be in advance as that method isn't foolproof in heavy usage.
    Additionally, it strikes me as a useful workaround if the unique ID was a UUID (mySQL UUID() function) that does not run the risk of any concurrency issues. Has anyone used this solution in VWP? How would I make the call for the underying DB (in this case MySQL, but could be anything) to generate the UUID? Is the call DB specific or is there a JDBC equivalent?
    UPDATE: never mind the GUID question, I can use the java.rmi.dgc.VMID class to autogenerate unique GUID's for this purpose. Being from a Lotus Notes background, I'm used to the power and flexibility such Unique ID's bring to the app. dev's portfolio.
    Thanks in adv. for any help .

    JSF together with JBoss Seam offers some real good possibilities to improve developer productivity. Right now, with JSF you can create forms where fields are persistent (saved in a database), but you have to write code to persist fields. In Notes/Domino, every field you drop in the form is automatically set to persist without writing a single piece of code. JBoss Seam aims to provide the missing glue to tie the JSF beans with business logic (EJB) and persistent layer (JPA). I think tools for Seam are still not mature. I would love to see JSC/VWB utilizing Seam. I know there is a NetBean plugin for Seam but it was written for old NetBeans (not VWP or JSC), so it doesn't work with the visual web pack where you can drag and drop JSF components.

  • New rows in Adobe table are not added to WD Context

    Hi experts: we have several Adobe Interactive forms.  Each has a table.  the user can add rows to the table, but when they do, the WD ABAP context does not get additional rows added to it. The new rows appear on the form, but not in the context.   If users change values in existing table rows, those values are changed in the context; however, new rows do not show up in context.
    Our Hierarchy Layout:
    P1
    --TableSub
    InnerSub
    Table1
    Row1
    <table fields>
    Remove (button)
    Add (button)
    The JavaScript for the buttons: ADD button...
    P1.TableSub.InnerSub.Add::click - (JavaScript, client)
    this.parent.instanceManager.addInstance();  // this adds a row, context not changed...
    xfa.form.recalculate();
    Remove button:
    P1.TableSub.InnerSub.Remove::click - (JavaScript, client)
    P1.TableSub.InnerSub.instanceManager.removeInstance(this.parent.index);  // this keeps same # of context rows, but  "removed
                                                                      // rows" have data replaced by duplicate data of another row; can deal with this issue...
    xfa.form.recalculate();
    The WD Context node has Cardinality 0..n  Selection: 0..n  (have tried 0..1, too).  No difference in context with additional form rows.
    Anybody, any ideas as to why # of rows in WD Context is not being altered by the Interactive Form?  Thanks!

  • Alv add new row with counter

    Hello.
    I would like to add a new row to an ALV GRID CONTROL in which one of the fields is a counter. Which methods, codes have I to change/write?
    For example:
    ALV
    COUNTER FLIGHT DESTINATION
    1     1234  CDG
    2     3443  SVQ
    On adding a new row :
    COUNTER FLIGHT DESTINATION
    1     1234  CDG
    2     3443  SVQ
    3
    Thanks in advance!!!

    There are two options.
    1.  Use the data_changed event to put in the values.
    - Enable edit mode for the grid, so the row create/insert/copy icons appear on the toolbar.
    - Create an event handler for the DATA_CHANGED event
    - In this method, use attribute table er_data_changed->MT_INSERTED_ROWS to check for new rows, and then er_data_changed->modify_cell to put in the line number.
    The problem is that if your counter field is set as non-editable, then you cannot put a value in...
    2.  implement your own add function.
    - Add a button to the toolbar (implement methiod for event handle_toolbar)
    - Create an event handler for event handle_user_command.
    - In the handler method, add a row to the outtab table used by the grid (with the correct line number).
    - CALL METHOD gr_grid->refresh_table_display to update the display with the additional line.
    Regards
    Michael

  • EDIT method doesn't work after adding new row

    I would like to start editing after adding new row into TableView.
    I copied example from Oracle website: [Using JavaFX UI Controls - 13 Table View|http://docs.oracle.com/javafx/2/ui_controls/table-view.htm#CJAGDAHE]. Then I put additional button for adding new row and define action for the button.
        final Button addButton = new Button("Add");
        addButton.setOnAction(new EventHandler<ActionEvent>() {
            @Override
            public void handle(ActionEvent arg0) {
                Person p = new Person("", "", "");
                table.getItems().add(p);
                table.getSelectionModel().select(p);
                table.edit(table.getSelectionModel().getSelectedIndex(), table.getColumns().get(2));
        });In result I can see selected new row but the table doesn't start edditing in the third column.
    I have similar method for editing existing rows and it works properly.
        final Button editButton = new Button("Edit");
        editButton.setOnAction(new EventHandler<ActionEvent>() {
            @Override
            public void handle(ActionEvent arg0) {
                table.edit(table.getSelectionModel().getSelectedIndex(), table.getColumns().get(2));
        });Could you help me what I do wrong?

    Try wrapping the setCaretPosition(...) method in a SwingUtilities.invokeLater(...)
    caret=outputArea.getDocument().getText(0,outputArea.getDocument().getLength()).length();Should be:
    caret = outputArea.getDocument().getLength();
