ADF 12.1.2 - filtering in table does not work (not visible)

Hi.
When using ADF 12.1.2, in a RichTable based on a View Object which, in turn, is based on an SQL Query, table column filter is not being displayed. However, if View Object is based on an Entity Object, table column filter works just fine.
Vadim.

Again to back up what Timo says here, it's important you understand that Oracle Support is your primary mechanism for getting fixes out of Oracle.  It is a contract between your organization and Oracle to provide support.  These OTN forums have no SLA attached, and indeed are frequented by Oracle employees on a voluntary capacity (we like to help customers).  If you absolutely need a fix, you should go through Support.
I know at this point some people like to get up on their soapbox and tell Oracle "how it should be", but that's ignoring the pragmatic reality, Support is the mechanism which Oracle has in place for you to get results to bug, fixes and other assistance.
I hope I've been clear enough here gang.
CM.

  • ADF Faces: sorting in af:table does'n work after migration fr. EA11 to EA13

    I have a JSF JSP with an <af:table> component (EA11). Sorting of columns in this table works fine with this code:
    <af:column>
    <f:facet name="header">
    <af:sortableHeader text="Name" property="Name"/>
    </f:facet>
    <af:outputText value="#{item.Name}"/>
    </af:column>
    Then i migrate to EA13 and changed the code to:
    <af:column sortProperty="Name" sortable="true">
    <f:facet name="header">
    <h:outputText value="Name"/>
    </f:facet>
    <af:outputText value="#{item.Name}"/>
    </af:column>
    => the column headers are rendered as sortable, but sorting of columns does not work!
    The bean property, the value attribute of the table is bound to, extends oracle.adf.view.faces.model.CollectionModel.
    I will give you a hint: documentation to <af:column> and <af:table> always describes how to implement sorting with <af:sortableHeader>.

    I use my own Implementation of CollectionModel. It extends oracle.adf.view.faces.model.CollectionModel.
    The setSortCriteria method is called correctly. Even the sorting is done correctly. I just don't see it in my page. If I click on a column header to sort the column my cursor transforms to an hourglass, and that's it. Then I click on another button which makes the page render again, and suddenly the table is sorted according to the column I clicked before.

    Generally this is a sign that the iPhone had previously been
    hacked/modified/jailbroken and the update relocked it to the
    original wireless carrier. If this is the case, only that wireless
    carrier can unlock your iPhone. You must contact them to see
    if they offer unlocking and if you qualify.
    Where did you acquire this iPhone?
    What wireless carrier did you use before this problem?
    Does the app Cydia appear on your iPhone?
    What does it say when you look at Settings=>General=>About=>Carrier?

  • Vision:M does not work, not recognized by compu

    My Zen Vision:M seems to be completely dead. It doesn't react to anything, even trying to reset it. When I tried to download the firmware update and that recovery thing, it didn't work because it just says there is no player detected. It doesn't work on any other computer either. Is it a lost cause?

  • My Time Capsule does not work with existing WiFi

    Following a question solved on March 24 by LaPastenague, but gone bad again.
    Apple AirPort Time Capsule
    I felt the need for a physical backup of my data, as I would not completely trust the different clouds. I use, and have used Dropbox for 4-5 years and are very satisfied with that, but I am still not sure if or when a political lunatic will shut off the internet.
    I purchased the Apple AP Time Capsule 2T, because all my other stuff are Apple, and that it's wireless. My old backup is Maxtor 300 GB.
    Since we stay 2-3 weeks on two locations, one in Norway and one in Sweden (two different countries) we must use Mobile Broadband 4G, cables or fibre connections are useless for us, and we don't have it up to the houses. I have one mini router for each country, we bring with us iPhones, iPads, iMac, Apple TV, APExpress. When we pass the boarder I change the mini router, and the system continues working perfect on the WiFi, except the APExpress that needs to be reconfigured,  but then it works.
    The APTC was difficult to make working as it would not accept to be in an existing network, but with good help from the Apple Community, LaPastenague, with forcing the TC connect to the APE with Ethernet cable in bridge mode, ref "My Time Capsule does not work with existing WiFi" from March 24, the problem was solved and all gadgets worked together in a perfect harmony, until we changed location.
    Now, as I have my second WiFi network, and the APExspress is reconfigured, it's like the TC thinks, I am the base boss here, I am not taking orders from APE one more time, and it simply does not work, not only that, it fluctuates all the time.
    I have a slight feeling that the two WiFi bands are making the trouble as during the configuration of the TC sometime the last figure 6 and 7 pops up, and that has something two do with the two different 2,4 and 5 GHZ bands
    So, I am curious if you have any idea ?
    I am thinking of returning the TC if I don't make it work now, but how do I delete all the data that's on it?

    I can deal with the last question first and easily.
    I am thinking of returning the TC if I don't make it work now, but how do I delete all the data that's on it?
    Open the airport utility .. go to the disk tab and select erase.
    When you select erase you will get mulitiple options.
    Quick removes the file table but does not delete the files,, it takes 2min or less.
    A Zero out data is the secure way,, by writing 0 ie low level drive format.
    It can take several hours..
    7 pass will take a week.. not recommended..
    35 pass erase is ridiculous.. it would take a month.. put an ax through the TC. It is quick and better.
    Now, as I have my second WiFi network, and the APExspress is reconfigured, it's like the TC thinks, I am the base boss here, I am not taking orders from APE one more time, and it simply does not work, not only that, it fluctuates all the time.
    The fact that it did work and has now failed might point to faulty unit.
    The only way to tell is reset it properly to factory and start over.
    Universal Factory Reset.. any model TC or AE.
    Unplug your TC/AE from power or turn off at the power point.
    Hold in reset. and power the TC/AE back on..  all without releasing reset and keep holding in for about 10sec. (this is often difficult without a 2nd person or a 3rd arm).
    Release it when the status light flashes rapidly. If it doesn’t flash rapidly you have missed it and try again.
    Note..
    Be Gentle! Feel the switch click on. It has a positive feel..  add no more pressure after that.
    TC/AE will reboot after a couple of minutes with default factory settings and will wipe out previous configurations of the router.
    No files are deleted on the hard disk in a TC.. No reset of the TC deletes files.. to do that you use erase from the airport utility.
    Generally having multiple wireless AP should not cause problems.. but it is better to set channels manually.. so it doesn't go beserk rotating channels.
    Remember to keep all names short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric.
    Sadly though the Apple routers have no logging now and no SNMP and almost nothing to help diagnose a problem, so if it continues .. take it back to apple.. they have given you no other method of fixing it.

  • Installed Premiere Pro CS4 but video display does not work?

    I just got my copy of CS$. After installing Premiere I found two things that seem very wrong:
    1) video display does not work, not even the little playback viewer next to improted film clips located on the project / sequence window. Audio works fine.
    2) the UI is way too slow for my big beefy system.
    My pc is a dual boot Vista-32 and XP system with 4GB of memory installed and nvidia geforce 280 graphics board with plenty of GPU power. The CS4 is installed on the Vista-32 partition. My windows XP partition on the same PC with Premiere CS2 works great and real fast.
    Any ideas how to solve this CS4 install issue?
    Ron

    I would like to thank Dan, Hunt, and Haram:
    The problem is now very clear to me. The problem only shows up with video footage imported into PP CS4 encoded with "MS Video 1" codec. So this seems to be a bug. The codec is very clearly called out and supported within various menues but video with this codec just will not play in any monitor or preview window. In addition the entire product looks horrible with respect to performance while PP CS4 trys its best to play the video. Audio will start playing after about 30 seconds. And once in awhile part of video shows up at the wrong magnification before blanking out again.
    My suggestion to the Adobe team: fix the bug and add some sample footage to the next release so new installations can test their systems with known footage.

  • ADF Updating bindings for filtered rows in table

    I have an ADF UIX table with say 10 rows each row having 8 fields. 2 of these are editable. So 6 fields use uix.current.fieldname and 2 editable use bindings.fieldname.
    I have a drop down list on top of the table. Selecting an option fires an event which sets parameters in the view and filters the table and reduces the rows say to 4.
    The table is now showing correct values for the non editable fields. But the editable fields are not showing the correct value. They show the older first four rows values.
    How do I update the bindings when I reexecute the view for filtering the rows?
    Appreciate your help.
    Thanks,

    There is absolutly no reason to use PL/SQL (e.g. nested cursors, logic etc.) use MERGE
    MERGE INTO emp target
    USING (SELECT emp.empno,emp.sal,dept.dname,
           CASE WHEN dept.dname ='ACCOUNTING'
             THEN TRUNC(emp.sal * 1.2) ELSE TRUNC(emp.sal * 1.1) END new_sal
            FROM emp
             INNER JOIN dept
             ON (emp.deptno = dept.deptno)
           )source
        ON (target.empno = source.empno)
      WHEN MATCHED THEN UPDATE
         SET target.sal = source.new_sal;And, if the factor of the update is stored in a special table / query, it gets even easier to maintain.

  • Filtering not working for newly added child objects in master-detail table

    Hi,
    I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.4 version.
    Problem scenario:
    Filtering of records is not working for newly created child objects in a master-detail scenario.
    Steps to reproduce this issue using HR Schema (using LOCATIONS and DEPARTMENTS table ) :
    1. Create Business components (EO's & VO's ) for LOCATIONS & DEPARTMENTS table)
    1. Create a .jspx page and insert a readonly master table of Locations
    2. Insert a child table (inline-edit table) of Departments and enable filtering
    4. For the child table, drag and drop CreateInsert operation as a toolbar button .
    5. Create a new child record using the toolbar button and enter data .
    6. Filtering on the newly created child record's attributes does not work.
    Please note that the same filter works for existing child records.
    Any suggestions for resolving this issue?
    Thanks,
    Vikas

    Found from Fusion Developer's Guide the following snippet about QBE functionality :
    "+When you create data controls, all data collections will automatically include a Named Criteria node with an All Queriable Attributes criteria. This is the default view criteria that includes all the searchable attributes or columns of the data collection. You cannot edit or modify this view criteria+. "
    So, the question is if the implicit view criteria cannot be edited, how else to set the query execution mode to "Both" ?
    Shouldn't ADF BC support this by default? Is this a bug?
    Note:- If you create a maste-detail table using POJO datacontrols, filter works correctly for newly created child records also .
    This seems to be an issue with ADF-BC datacontrols only.
    Thanks,
    Vikas

  • Select All in a table does not work for Drag and Drop

    Hi. I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.2 but have also reproduced in 11.1.1.3.
    I am trying to implement drag and drop rows from one table to another. Everything works fine except when I do a Select All (ctrl-A) in a table, the table visually looks like all rows are selected, but when I try to click on one of the selected rows to drag to the other table, only the row I click on is dragged.
    I tried setting Range Size -1, fetch mode to FETCH_ALL, content delivery to "immediate" but nothing works.
    I even have reproduced not using a view object but just a List of beans with only 5 or 10 beans showing in the table.
    Does anyone know how to get Select All to work for a Drag Source?
    Thanks.
    -Ed

    Frank-
    OK, thanks for looking into that. I also submitted this service request, which includes a simple sample app to demonstrate the problem:
    SR #3-2387481211: ADF Drag and Drop does not work for rows in table using Select All
    Thanks again for the reply.

  • Delete operation is not working to delete selected row from ADF table

    Hi All,
    We are working on jdev 11.1.1.5.3. We have one ADF table as shown below. My requirement is to delete a selected row from table, but it is deleting the first row only.
    <af:table value="#{bindings.EventCalendarVO.collectionModel}" var="row"
    rows="#{bindings.EventCalendarVO.rangeSize}"
    emptyText="#{bindings.EventCalendarVO.viewable ? applcoreBundle.TABLE_EMPTY_TEXT_NO_ROWS_YET : applcoreBundle.TABLE_EMPTY_TEXT_ACCESS_DENIED}"
    fetchSize="#{bindings.EventCalendarVO.rangeSize}"
    rowBandingInterval="0"
    selectedRowKeys="#{bindings.EventCalendarVO.collectionModel.selectedRow}"
    selectionListener="#{bindings.EventCalendarVO.collectionModel.makeCurrent}"
    rowSelection="single" id="t2" partialTriggers="::ctb1 ::ctb3"
    >
    To perform delete operation i have one delete button.
    <af:commandToolbarButton
    text="Delete"
    disabled="#{!bindings.Delete.enabled}"
    id="ctb3" accessKey="d"
    actionListener="#{AddNewEventBean. *deleteCurrentRow* }"/>
    As normal delete operation is not working i am using programatic approach from bean method. This approach works with jdev 11.1.1.5.0 but fails on ver 11.1.1.5.3
    public void deleteCurrentRow (ActionEvent actionEvent) *{*               DCBindingContainer bindings =
    (DCBindingContainer)BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
    DCIteratorBinding dcItteratorBindings =
    bindings.findIteratorBinding("EventCalendarVOIterator");
    // Get an object representing the table and what may be selected within it
    ViewObject eventCalVO = dcItteratorBindings.getViewObject();
    // Remove selected row
    eventCalVO.removeCurrentRow();
    it is removing first row from table still. Main problem is not giving the selected row as current row. Any one point out where is the mistake?
    We have tried the below code as well in deleteCurrentRow() method
    RowKeySet rowKeySet = (RowKeySet)this.getT1().getSelectedRowKeys();
    CollectionModel cm = (CollectionModel)this.getT1().ggetValue();
    for (Object facesTreeRowKey : rowKeySet) {
    cm.setRowKey(facesTreeRowKey);
    JUCtrlHierNodeBinding rowData = (JUCtrlHierNodeBinding)cm.getRowData();
    rowData.getRow().remove();
    The same behavior still.
    Thanks in advance.

    JDev 11.1.1.5.3 sounds like you are using oracle apps as this not a normal jdev version.
    as it works in 11.1.1.5.0 you probably hit a bug which you should file with support.oracle.com...
    Somehow you get the first row instead of the current row (i guess). You should debug your code and make sure you get the current selected row in your bean code and not the first row.
    This might be a problem with the bean scope too. Do you have the button (or table) inside a region? Wich scope does the bean have?
    Anyway you can try to remove the iterator row you get
    public void deleteCurrentRow (ActionEvent actionEvent) { DCBindingContainer bindings =
    (DCBindingContainer)BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
    DCIteratorBinding dcItteratorBindings =
    bindings.findIteratorBinding("EventCalendarVOIterator");
    dcItteratorBindings.removeCurrentRow();Timo
