Adf data page problems

I'm traying to create a data page to display the result of a view in JDev 10g.
when i run the page....i got a page not found! what can be the problem?

Hi,
do you run the page from the Struts editor ? Would be helpful to know how you call the page and what you changed in the default configuration. If you create a new DataPage, does the same happen ?

  • Adf blank page problem

    Hi,
    I am working on an ADF/JSF application using WebLogic server.
    When I run a jsfx page to test, the browser displays a blank page. Even the splash screen is not shown and i get no error.
    Do you have any solutions?

    John,
    Refresh button doesn't work. It gives the following error:
    Error 403--Forbidden
    From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
    +10.4.4 403 Forbidden+
    The server understood the request, but is refusing to fulfill it. Authorization will not help and the request SHOULD NOT be repeated. If the request method was not HEAD and the server wishes to make public why the request has not been fulfilled, it SHOULD describe the reason for the refusal in the entity. This status code is commonly used when the server does not wish to reveal exactly why the request has been refused, or when no other response is applicable.
    But when a blank page appears i can see the source of the page (from the browsers menu -> page source). But the problem is the source code of the page is the same as the code i developed in 11g. The scenario is the following;
    1) Run 'home.jspx'
    2) The blank page occurs in the browser
    3) When i right click the browser and select "view page source" it gives the following:
    +<f:view><af:document id="d1"><af:form id="f1"><af:pageTemplate viewId="/mainTemplate.jspx" id="pt1"><f:facet name="center"><af:commandButton text="commandButton 1" id="cb1"/></f:facet></af:pageTemplate></af:form></af:document></f:view>+
    which is exactly the same with the source code that i developed in JDeveloper.
    4) When i click the refresh button it gives the above error.
    But on a page that works fine, when i view the source of the page it gives the following:
    +<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">+
    +<html class="p_AFMaximized" dir="ltr" lang="tr"><head><link rel="stylesheet" charset="UTF-8" type="text/css" href="/SemovieWeb-ViewController-context-root/adf/styles/cache/fusion-desktop-ua1gw8-ltr-gecko-1.9.2.13-cmp.css"></head><body class="x11f p_AFMaximized"><noscript>Bu sayfa JavaScript kullan&#305;r ve JavaScript etkin bir g&ouml;zat&#305;c&#305; gerektirir.G&ouml;zat&#305;c&#305;n&#305;zda JavaScript etkin de&#287;il.</noscript><div id="afr::Splash" class="x16g"><div class="x16h"><span class="x16i"><img src="/SemovieWeb-ViewController-context-root/afr/ss.gif"+
    So i think there is something going wrong when the source code of the page is converted into an html page. But why?

  • ADF date comparison problem!

    Hello to everyone,
    I have a problem when I try to compare dates between two related VO with a master-detail relationship. For the child VO, in the date field I created a business rule and made it Greater than VO attribute - of the parent VO. The problem is that (as the hind there tells) the date is dependent only to the first row of the parent VO - "Hint: first row attribute will be used for comparison".
    Can anyone tell me why? and how can I fix this and make my child VO date dependent on its parent date?
    Thanks

    it is being dependent to a parent that is not its own
    Doesn't this mean that there isn't a relationship at all?
    Anyway, you should add a method business rule which will create a
    public boolean validateYOURDATEATTRIBUTE( Timestamp value)
    method where you can check the value against any other data you need.

  • Java.lang.NullPointerException warning beside components on ADF JSP page

    java.lang.NullPointerException warning beside components on ADF JSP page problem
    Hello
    i developed a web application with the help of the Adf technology On jdeveloper 10.1.3.3.0 . Everything is Ok.
    But when i use application sometimes on the page i take a java.lang.NullPointerException warn beside the some components like a inputbox or a radio button ..)
    i looked the logs but nothing.
    How can i solve this problem.
    Have you got any idea?

    Hi,
    it's the validator property on inputText components that causes it. not validation or StateValidation or EnableTokenValidation.
    Paste your inputText source from the page if you are not sure.

    Hi,
    the databinding meta data is not synchronized with ADF BC or any other business service. If e.g you used EJB session beans and changed the method signature of a method used in teh View through ADF, then this is not automatically refactored.

  • Web Center app with ADF Security - login problem

    I have a custome Oracle Web Center app.
    I have a page.html with an embedded login form posting to j_security_check. I've configured the ADF security policies to redirect to a JSPX on successful login.
    When I try the correct username/password, I get redirected not to the page I defined in ADF, but to the root page http://127.0.0.1:7101/MyApp-ViewController-context-root/
    and i get
    Error 403--Forbidden
    I've checked the weblogic.xml as per http://andrejusb.blogspot.com/2009/12/solving-error-403-forbidden-in-adf.html, all the required entries are there.
    This works fine if i use a Login link with
    destination="#{'/adfAuthentication?login=true&amp;end_url=/faces/postLogin.jspx'} "
    which redirects to the default login.html and then to the right page. I've copied the form from the default login.html into my master HTML page.
    Hope my question is clear. Any suggestions why it is going to the wrong URL after login.
    Is there anything specific I should see in the jazn-data.xml or web.xml regarding the post-login URL since i cant see that in either.
    P.S. Have been advised to try here when I originally asked this in the WebCenter forum. Web Center app ADF Security - login problem
    Edited by: new_to_webcenter on 18-Jan-2011 05:25

    Thanks for your response Frank.
    The web.xml has
    <security-constraint>
    <web-resource-collection>
    <web-resource-name>adfAuthentication</web-resource-name>
    <url-pattern>/adfAuthentication</url-pattern>
    </web-resource-collection>
    <auth-constraint>
    <role-name>valid-users</role-name>
    </auth-constraint>
    </security-constraint>
    <login-config>
    <auth-method>FORM</auth-method>
    <form-login-config>
    <form-login-page>/login.html</form-login-page>
    <form-error-page>/error.html</form-error-page>
    </form-login-config>
    </login-config>
    When configuring ADF Security via JDev , I chose "Redirect upon successful authentication" to the Welcome Page
    "/faces/postLogin.jspx"
    this then adds into web.xml
    <servlet>
    <servlet-name>adfAuthentication</servlet-name>
    <servlet-class>oracle.adf.share.security.authentication.AuthenticationServlet</servlet-class>
    <init-param>
    <param-name>success_url</param-name>
    <param-value>/faces/postLogin.jspx</param-value>
    </init-param>
    <load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup>
    </servlet>
    So the sequence which works is:
    Login via the '/adfAuthentication?login=true&end_url=/faces/postLogin.jspx' and this redirects to login.html (OOTB form which posts to j_security_check) and then to the postLogin.jspx
    I'm trying to do away with a Login link, and trying the simple login form embedded in my page alongwith other content.
    So should the form be posting to j_security_check directly or to the adfAuthentication ?

  • JBO-35007 in Portletized ADF Faces Page and alternative scenarios

    Hi all,
    I've started a new thread to address one of the problems referred to here Issues with Faces -> Portlet Bridge and ADF Faces
    In short, the issue arises when portletizing an existing ADF Faces page that uses an ADF BC bound af:Table on the page. I've got a very simple ADF Faces page that has an af:Table on it bound to the employees table in the Oracle HR schema. The af:Table allows sorting and has an af:selectTableOne in it's selection facet which contains an af:commandButton. The app works fine when run as a JSF page.
    However, when I use the JSF-Portlet bridge to publish the page as a portlet (following all of the steps in the Web Center Developer's guide, including changing the state_saving_method to "server"), and placing the portlet on a ADF Faces page in a different project, I can consistently create JBO-35007 errors by:
    * Sorting the data in the portlet by clicking the column header
    * Selecting a different row and pressing the af:commandButton
    Clearly, the current row of the iterator is not being saved properly. I can (of course) "fix" this behavior by setting EnableTokenValidation to "false" in the page definition of the ADF Faces page that has been portletized, but this has obvious side effects.
    Should this behavior work as I am trying to implement it? Perhaps it doesn't make sense to "select" an item in a portlet like this (what am I going to do, as the parent application doesn't have access to the selected row information).
    I can, however, think of a good use case:
    User is using a web-store type application to browse items and add them to his shopping cart. Off to the side, we've got a portlet that shows recently purchased items for the user. User clicks item in that portlet (or selects and hits submit - as in my non-working example, above) and then the main web store application navigates to that item in the "main" section. How could I implement something like this? Any navigation case in the portlet is not exposed to the main application. Perhaps there is a different model by which to do this.... I cannot use a PDK event-type approach (this limits my use of Faces to create portlets), so I'm in a bind.
    Thoughts and discussion much appreciated,
    John

    Peter,
    This should be so simple to re-create; here's my project: http://download.yousendit.com/F017E4D457FFA7F3
    It uses the HR sample schema from a stock 10gr2 database. Be sure to set up the ADF BC connection in the model project, build and deploy the portlets, then try running TestPage.jspx in the UserInterface project. You can play around with the pagedef in the Portlet project to see the JBO-35007 error - right now, EnableTokenValidation is set to false - you can change it to true to see the error.

  • ADF customize previous/next link action in ADF data table

    in an ADF Data Table, how can i set an action method on the range links (i.e. next pagesize, previous pagesize links..),
    I need to customize that. i want to check first if the transaction is dirty, display a save changes panel and then proceed to the navigation.

    Hi brian,
    I have no problems with the next/previous navigation button that you can drag and drop on the page in design view.
    What Im talking about is on the ADF table. Im talkin about the Next/Previous links that only appears on runtime when there are more rows than the range size of the ADF table..

  • Creating Oracle ADF uix Pages Tutorial

    In going through the "Creating Oracle ADF UIX Pages" Tutorial
    Step 5:Adding a Table - I'm running into problems:
    - In item 2, I can not find Provider in Design Structure window (I find it in XML Structure Window)
    - In item 3, I can not find datacomponent in General Component Palette
    - In item 5 I can not find inline component in General Component Palette
    Does this tutorial work or am I missing something?

    I'm having the same problem. I looked over the recommended tutorial and it didn't cover how to mock up data in xml for prototyping. I think this tutorial is for JDeveloper 9i and not 10g. How is this done in JDev 10g?
    I entered this from the xml editor: I also tried:
    without a data tag
    with a data tag and with an inline tag
    with an inline tag
    nothing seems to work...
    <provider>
    <!-- Add DataProviders (<data> elements) here -->
    <data>
    <book cover=""
    title=""
    author=""
    price=""/>
    </data>
    </provider>
    I get this message when I switch to design mode:
    The document is not in a valid state. Please edit this file in the code editor to resolve syntax problems and then return to the visual editor.
    It doesn't like the xml code. Any ideas in how to do this? I would like to prototype an applications without connecting to real data sources...
    Thanks in advance

  • How to handle html:multibox in jsp with ADF Data Binding

    Hi,
    I like to use html:multibox feature in my jsp with ADF Data Binding. I am able to retrieve checked values in the DataForwardAction form. However, when the page is refreshed, the checkboxes are not persistent and yet an error showing
    "JBO-25009: unable to create object type ....oracle.jbo.domain.Array" appears.
    Here is my jsp code:
    <c:forEach var="type" items="${bindings.SystemTypeView1.rangeSet}">
    <c:if test="${Row['SystemGroup'] == type['SystemGroup']}">
    <br>
    <html:multibox property="selectedSystemType">
    <c:out value="${type.SystemType}"/>
    </html:multibox>
    <c:out value="${type.TypeDesc}"/>
    </c:if>
    </c:forEach>
    Can anyone tell me how to handle html:multibox with ADF Data Binding and make the checkboxes persistent.

    Generally this can be done.
    I see a problem with your use case, which has nothing to do with jdev or java:
    How do you identify the user when he comes back to finish the form?
    For this you can't use information like session cookie or IP address because they change.
    So you have to save some information about the user which lets you identify him when he comes back. All other requirements can be implemented by ADF.

  • ADF web pages not getting displayed inside the frame

    I am working with an Oracle Application called "Oracle Transportation Management"...to which our Development Group have asked to log an issue to this forum thread. Please let us know if you can assist:
    Client has added an external link to an ADF web page in OTM and when they click the link, it gives an error message saying it cannot be displayed within frame. Per the client, if they add frame busting to the deployment descriptor, it makes other screens in OTM to open in new window.
    ERROR:
    Warning: Unable to load content in a frame. Frame content will load at the top level.
    we tried setting "oracle.adf.view.rich.security.FRAME_BUSTING" to "never", but this makes all selections open in a new window.
    How do we correct this?

    Hi,
    wrong forum. If this is an existing application that you are not developing then the problem needs to be tracked by the application owner. If this happens to be Oracle Applications then you can use one of their forums here on OTN. Note that normally setting frame bursting to never indeed should solve the problem
    Note: This context parameter is ignored and will behave as if it were set to never when either of the following context parameters is set to true
    org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.util. ExternalContextUtils.isPortlet
    oracle.adf.view.rich.automation.ENABLED

  • Could not find "ADF Data Controls" in ADF tutorial 10.1.3.1.0 chapter 2

    Hi
    I am currently learning Oracle ADF followed by 10.1.3.1.0 tutorial. ( September 2006 Revision ), I installed Oracle Jdeveloper 10.1.3.2.0 on my pc with remote 10.2.0.2 database connection.
    In the manual page 2-17, the final step of that chapter, it requests to create ADF data controls associated with SRPublicFacadeBean.java . It says, right-click the SRPublicFacadeBean.java node and choose "Create Data Control" from the context menu. However, I could not find such option in the context menu. Does anyone know why that happened.
    Thanks ahead

    Did you install the J2EE edition of JDeveloper or the Studio edition?
    You need the studio edition to be able to create data controls.

  • ORA-01403: no data found Problem when using AUTOMATIC ROW FETCH to populate

    ORA-01403: no data found Problem when using AUTOMATIC ROW FETCH to populate a form.
    1) Created a FORM on EMP using the wizards. This creates an AUTOMATIC ROW FETCH
    TABLE NAME - EMP
    Item Containing PRIMARY KEY - P2099_EMPNO
    Primary key column - EMPNO
    By default the automatic fetch has a ‘Process Error Message’ of ‘Unable to fetch row.’
    2) Created a HTML region. Within this region add
    text item P2099_FIND_EMPNO
    Button GET_EMP to submit
    Branch Modified the conditional branch created during button creation to set P2099_EMPNO with &P2099_FIND_EMPNO.
    If I then run the page, enter an existing employee number into P2099_EMPNO and press the GET_EMP button the form is populated correctly. But if I enter an employee that does not exist then I get the oracle error ORA-01403: no data found and no form displayed but a message at the top of the page ‘Action Processed’.I was expecting a blank form to be displayed with the message ‘Unable to fetch row.’
    I can work around this by making the automated fetch conditional so that it checks the row exists first. Modify the Fetch row from EMP automated fetch so that it is conditional
    EXIST (SQL query returns at least one row)
    select 'x'
    from EMP
    where EMPNO = :P2099_EMPNO
    But this means that when the employee exists I must be fetching from the DB twice, once for the condition and then again for the actual row fetch.
    Rather than the above work around is there something I can change so I don’t get the Oracle error? I’m now wondering if the automatic row fetch is only supposed to be used when linking a report to a form and that I should be writing the fetch process manually. The reason I haven’t at the moment is I’m trying to stick with the automatic wizard generation as much as I can.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks Pete

    Hi Mike,
    I've tried doing that but it doesn't seem to make any difference. If I turn debug on it shows below.
    0.05: Computation point: AFTER_HEADER
    0.05: Processing point: AFTER_HEADER
    0.05: ...Process "Fetch Row from EMP": DML_FETCH_ROW (AFTER_HEADER) F|#OWNER#:EMP:P2099_EMPNO:EMPNO
    0.05: Show ERROR page...
    0.05: Performing rollback...
    0.05: Processing point: AFTER_ERROR_HEADER
    I don't really wan't the error page, either nothing with the form not being populated or a message at the top of the page.
    Thanks Pete

  • How to track Entered info at ADF UI page in ApplicationModuleImp.java

    Hi All,
    I am working on one ADF Requirement ,where i ll be configuring DB multiple table(there ll be FK-relationship between all these tables) through ADF UI page.
    requirement is:
    I will be having ADF UI Page (I have my VO based on multiple EO's)
    At runtime if i provide Details in UI page ,those data should go respective tables through single control. UI wont be having all the Columns, I will be tracking related columns through java method then i am updating the same to Other table.
    I can track these values in managed Bean class by using Below Code
    ViewObject vo = ADFUtils.findIterator("OeAttrMappingVO1Iterator").getViewObject();
    vo.getCurrentRow().getAttribute("DeletedFlag");
    But, I want to do same Logic In AMIml.Java
    Can anyone suggest me, how i can track entered info in UI in my AMImpl.java ??? Because I hav some other logic which i can implement in AMImpl.java
    thanks
    Santosh

    Hi,
    look you directly have a control of UI entered data in your managed bean. then you just create a custom method in am impl with parameters. expose the same in client interface, then call the impl method from managed bean and paas the entered values as parameters.
    see if this helps http://xmlandmore.blogspot.com/2011/05/invoking-application-module-custom.html
