ADF11g: LOV for attribute trouble

It seems that when I have specified an LOV for an attribute and made the Default List Type a Choice List, I am no longer able to use the attribute as an inputTextField in a JSF page.
I have a page with an editable table, and the attribute with the LOV is an inputTextField like this:

          </af:column>When I submit the page I get the following error:
javax.faces.convert.ConverterException: Unable to resolve a Validator instance using either validatorId '' or binding '#{row.bindings.PageId.validator}'.Can anyone reproduce this?

Yes it does work without the f:validator tag.
Apparently I don't need it because the af:convertNumber will throw an error when I enter something other than a number.
Still, I don't think this is how it's supposed to work. Should I create an SR for this?

I badly need a solution of the below problem.
Say , i have table called user_col_comments now i want to display the table_name ,column_name and comments in a tabular form.I displayed only one row for the tabular form.Now i create a select query based LOV for attribute table_name where i got all table_name in drop down list.
Point is that after selecting any data from drop down table list i want to get the corresponding fields to be populated in column_name attributes.How can i wrote the select query based LOV for the attibute column_name.
I wrote it as 'select column_name d,column_name r from user_col_comments where table_name=:TABLE_NAME Its not working?
Similarly i want same thing to display for comments after matching both table_name and column_name.
Any solution to get rid of those problem will be highly appreciable...

Different LOV for different rows

Imagine a tabular report with a number of rows, and a select list for each row populated based on data in that row.
I've seen a solution for this in a few threads, but I've tried to replicate it in 4.2.1.00.08 with no success

my query includes this as a column
APEX_UTIL.SAVEKEY_NUM(duration) durationwith another column defined as "Select List (query based on LOV)" using
select apex_util.keyval_num d, apex_util.keyval_num r from dualand while the duration varies, the LOV is always stagnant.
This occurs in both classic & updateable reports (tabular forms).
I was skeptical that it would work anyway, since I'm sure the query is resolved/bound before rendering each LOV - but that's just assuming background process logic.
Is the only alternative solutions to use APEX_ITEM.SELECT_LIST_FROM_QUERY() ?

Ahh, I had only tried that on my classic report example. It only seems to have that effect on the tabular form.
Makes me hesitant to use it with that kind of behaviour.
When comparing normal tabular form, one set to generic, and another changed back - I saw no differences in the metadata that I would think have some form of impact on rendering behaviour

APEX_APPLICATION_PAGE_REGIONS -- customization/timeout_cache_after changed, component_signature had trailing 0
APEX_APPLICATION_PAGE_RPT_COLS -- lost tabular form attributes, region had lost selector column, in fact I'm having trouble bringing it back to a point where it actually saves data.

Long LOV for editable column

I have an updateable report based on a SQL Query with a few columns in it. One of the columns is an id referencing another table (a foreign key). I would like to display a descriptive name from the referenced table along with the id and provide a LOV to choose from but only the value of id will be placed to the column.
I used POP LOV(Query based LOV) for the column attribute, and the query and the query like this:
select obj_num || ' ' || Description from obj_tbl order by obj_num.
I would like the obj_num value to be the only value return to ID column.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

I can think only of using a select list instead with the following query:
SELECT obj_num || ' ' || description d, obj_num r
FROM obj_tbl
ORDER BY obj_numBut that will only work if your list of values is not too big (I don't know the exact limit).
For a tabular form there is no popup LOV displaying description and returning key value within the standard. You can try using apex_item.popupkey_from_query and that would mean you would need to create a manual tabular form instead of using the standard.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like the function to reseize the Font in an iBook is not functioning properly.
I recommend a few things here. First close all the apps that are running in the background:
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.

When you have done that, restart the phone, and try again.

2. Check for app updates

3. Install another app from the App Store

4. Restart the app

6. Reinstall the affected app
Remove the app from your device and reinstall it:
Tap and hold any app icon on the Home Screen until the icons start to wiggle and show a small "x" in the top-right corner of the app.
Tap the "x" in the corner of the app you want to delete.
Tap Delete to remove the app and all of its data from your device.
Press the Home button.
Go to the App Store.
Search for the app and then download it again.

Oracle.jbo.AttrValException: JBO-27019: Get method for attribute

I am trying to add a new column to Oracle quoting.It has already been customized by some consultant few years back. I followed the note 392728.1 on metalink and also have the documentation by the previous consultant but getting the error oracle.jbo.AttrValException: JBO-27019: Get method for attribute Draft in HeaderVO could not be resolved after adding my column, when I try to print the quote.
Here are the steps I took
1) added a column to the query (at the end) in HeaderVO.xml
2) added the below code in the HeaderVO.xml

Everything is dont exactly as per the manual but not sure why I am getting this issue. Any help will be appreciated.

How can I create a new entry without using LOV for foreign keys.

Referring to TUHRA sample application based on HR database schema. JDeveloper 10.1.3.0.4
How can I create a new employee without using LOV for the foreign key "job_id".
On the first page I would like to choose the job_title from adf read-only table.
After clicking on the "create new employee button" a creation form appears in which the job_id field is set with previous selection.

Hi,
usually the foreign key is only set if the VO you select is dependent from a master. If e.g. you have DepartmentsVO1 that has an EmployeeVO3 as its nested VO, then creating a new instance of employees automatically add the foreign key. If you add EmployeesVO1, which is not dependent to DepartmensVO1, then the foreign key is not set. So if this is the case in THURA (keep in mind that this is not an Oracle demo but a sample used in a book about ADF) then all you need is to take the independent VO when building the new employee form.

Requirement is to set default value for attribute "COUNTRY" in BP_HEAD_SEARCH/MainSearch when user clicks on Corporate Account.

I am attempting to update a column in my Oracle Lite database through JDBC.
The statement is:

Hi gurus,I would very much appreciate expert advice on how to solve the problem I´m facing when lauching middleware object MATERIAL.
I have 2 BDocs in red showing the following error:
Value B20 is not permitted for attribute Purchase Order Unit
Value B20 is not permitted for attribute Sales Unit
I have checked table T006 and customizing and I do have unit of measurement B20 created on CRM so I don´t understand where is the error.

1: If any changes in the ERP system the data is automatically replicated in to CRM system right? then Why we need to Configure again in the CRM system. for Examaple: Proudct group and Tax.
2. No, I did not replicate Sales Org., but this is also automatically replicated into CRM system. But it is already replicated into CRM i.e. Initial download.
my question is in r/3: If one customer have 2 Sales Area data is maitained in the R/3, that information is also available in the CRM side. if one more sales area is assigned to same customer, that information is also availbale in the CRM system right? but I could not able to find the new sales area data. what is the reason? and how I can dowload the changes in the CRM system?

Problem in using LOV for validation-JHS 10.1.3

This problem was also noticed by Phil McDermott (Problem in using LOV for validation-JHS 10.1.3
I am following the demo and I noticed that the Use LOV for Validation functionality does not work on the browse page. However, it does work on the details page!
Another effect of this problem is that once you tried to validate on the browse screen, the lov button does not work anymore.

Just found out that is does not work when entering "ph" like suggested in the tutorial. When I enter "p" and then tab to the next field, the lov popup does show.

How to access custom property for attribute and control in .vm file?

I have created custom properties in OPM for attribute and apply also that properties to attribute.
But if how to access that value in .vm file?
I accessed using
$attribute.getProperty("ScreenProp", "default value")
but it's not working but same is worked for screen custom property

$control.getProperties().get("PropertyName") works for custom properties on a control
If you output $control and $control.getProperties() to the html you can lookup the API for the used classes.
I can't give an example of the html because it's stripped in this forum

I created the wsdl for mobile and I tried to send a SOAP request from Altova XMLSpy. However when I geive the wsdl in 'wsdl file location' I receive the following.
File http://127.0.0.1:8080/B1iXcellerator/exec/dummy/com.sap.b1i.vplatform.scenarios.setup/vPac.sap.B1Mobile/001sap0003_sap.B1Mobile.wsdl is not valid.
Invalid XML schema: 'Value 'defaultNs:AddBP2Type' is not allowed for attribute 'type'.'
Error location: wsdl:definitions / wsdl:types / xs:schema / xs:element / @type

Hi,
it seems that Altove did not cope with defaultNs prefix that is used for marking default namespace.
just look up in your <xs:schema > tag what namespace prefix is used for your namespace - you shall find there something like this
<xs:schema xmlns:ns0="your.namespace.com" xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" elementFormDefault="qualified"
and replace prefix defaultNs with prefix of your namespace (in example above it would be ns0)
There might be several usages of defalutNs iside of WSDL (at least in my case were two) so replace it everywhere using same approach
