Adjustments not working

Opened an 8bit Grayscale image in which I'd like to adjust Threshold.
Using PS Essentials 5.1 (fresh copy - no messing with preferences yet)
The Threshold adjustment has preview checked so I can see what I'm going to get.
However, once I click OK the image reverts to what it was before the adjustment.
What is happening here? This never happend to me in CS1 - all was a piece of cake.
I appreciate any help I can get.

Picture adjustments not working from Action Menu

Hi, I have a Sony Bravia KDL-55w805C with the latest firmware and The "Picture adjustmen" entry, within the "Action Menu" List is not working.
At the beggining it was working just fine and after a day or so, whenever I click it, nothing happens. I can still go to that menu browsing throug the Settings in the home screen, but I can't select it from any other place. Can anyone please help me with this?

Quick Edit Adjustments not working PSE 13

In PSE 13, I use quick edits Adjustments. While putting the cursor over the options (ex. Smart Fix at 87) it shows on the image but if you click it to say apply, it doesn't apply. You can't hit "auto" or toggle the switches; the adjustment just never applies. Please help.

Can you clarify what you meant by "The css file didn't even changed"? Do you mean when you type on the keyboard, the code in the inline editor doesn't actually change? Or do you mean the changes are visible in Brackets, but when you look at the file on disk (using a different editor) the changes are missing? Or is the file saved to disk correctly, but the Live Preview isn't updated to reflect the changes?
If it seems like the file is not getting saved to disk after hitting Save in Edge Code, please let us know the answers to these questions:
Does the dot icon (indicating unsaved changes) disappear when you hit Save, or does it remain visible?
Have you tried both the keyboard shortcut (Cmd+S) and the menu item (File > Save) -- do they both have the same problem?
Have you installed any extensions in Edge Code? If so, try disabling them -- choose Help > Show Extensions Folder, rename the "user" folder to something else, then quit & restart Edge Code. Does that fix the issue?

TS2932 problems with aperture 3.4.3 adjustments not working on latest photos upload to iPhoto library

I recently uploaded some raw photos taken with a nikon D40x to my iPhoto library. Did some cropping and adjustments in iPhoto. Next I opened that library and that project in Aperture, and tried to do some furter adjusting. Pictures became distorted. At first they looked liked fine but as soon as I tried to do adjustments the pictures darkened, had less definition and looked hazy. I tried to reprocess with no success.
I then performed the apple check on my photot using the > filter feature > add rule > "filter type" is "raw", > adjustments "do not include" "raw decode version 3". The only photos in my entire iPhoto library that do not meet those criteria are the new pictures in question. I do not know what to do.

Not sure of the meaning, but you should launch Aperture while holding down alt/cmd. Use the repair options starting at the top and checking Aperture after each one.

"Edit A Copy with LR Adjustments" not working in PSCS6

Does not return an edited copy back to LR, or crashes the 3rd party app that was used as the external editor

In elements, you have to do a "Save" and not "Save As...", which basically means if you had saved the edit as a TIF with the exact same name that Lightroom created, Lightroom would recognize it.

Smart collection "had adjustments" not working in 4.3

In LR 3.4 I had no problem applying this smart collection onto a specific folder from the library by simply selecting the collection and then pression CTRL (on windows) while I click the folder in question .. that would filter all those photos that I've edited in LR for that folder.
That isn't the case in LR 4.3.
Right now this smart collection is saying I've got 8683 such photos in the collection, and trying the above method to filter just those edited in a specific folder in the library, simply shows all 8683 photos from my entire library.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am wondering why this may be?
I just bought the program like 1 week ago too :-(

What kind of adjustments are you making? Where are you looking for the previews? If you're using select list of filters or color adjustments, have you enabled 'Preview' in the dialog box?

Photoshop CS5/Lightroom 3 integration issue - "Edit Copy with Lightroom Adjustments" does not work

When clicking "Edit Copy with Lightoomroom Adjustments" from Lightroom, I get an error in Lightroom 3 complaining that the Camera Raw plug-in is not up to date; full message below.
"This version of Lightroom may require the Photoshop Camera Raw plug-in version 6.1 for full compatibility.
Camera Raw version 4.6 is the latest version available for Photoshop CS3. If raw file support for your camera was introduced after Camera Raw 4.6, the Photoshop integration features in Lightroom require Photoshop CS4 and the latest Camera Raw version 5 plug-in.
The version of Camera Raw plug-in currently installed is 0.0."
After I click "Open Anyways", Photoshop CS5 is initiated but it seems to have lost context of why it is opened and asks me what file I want to open (i.e. the Open As dialog).
"Edit Copy" and "Edit Original" from Lightroom 3 works as expected and opens images fine in Photoshop, CS5 however.
My installation is on Windows 7. I currently also have Lightroom 1.4 and Photoshop CS3 installed. Everything worked fine with the old configuration. I also tried the same workflow in Lightroom 1.4 again just now, which is now linked to CS5 instead of CS3. The "Edit Copy with Lightroom Adjustments" also work just fine.
Things that I have tried but do not worked:
I did an Update via the Help -> Update menu, and also manually downloaded the Camera Raw 6.1 plug-in.
Blew away the Photoshop preferences file
Made sure that Lightroom 3 points to Photoshop for editor
I'm thinking that I'll try uninstall CS3 next. Anyone else encountered this issue?

[CS5.1 (12.1) ACR 6.5RC / LR 3.5RC; MacbookPro 4gb Leopard 10.5.8 ] As a Lightroom instructor, up until now this has been a vexxing problem to explain to my students. Even if ACR in Photoshop is up to date (I just downloaded 6.5RC and installed the PS Plugin), I still get the error when attempting to edit from Lightroom 3.5RC. I deleted the PS prefs file to no avail. I was not willing to re-install Photoshop as a solution (per some blog's suggestion), although that might be the ultimate answer. But what an ordeal if so!
For a solution, I went back to a resolution I devised when I had a CS3 compatibility problem with LR3. I went into the Preferences of Lightroom and manually chose the Photoshop app as the "custom" image editor. I went back to edit the file in PS from Lightroom and the ACR error disappeared. Try it. Yes, this means you need to use the Custom editor as your image editor, but it seems to have resolved the issue.

Adobe Photoshop Touch is not working properly on my Samsung Tablet

I just recently downloaded the Photoshop Touch App to my Samsung Tablet. The program will open and some of the tools will work, but MOST tools will not! I have attempted to clear the cashe, uninstall, and then reinstall the program. The problem persists. When will Adobe provide an update with repairs so that I can actually use the App I just bought?

We have followed instructions to uninstall and and then reinstall the Photoshop Touch program onto the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3.
It is still not working properly.
NONE of the Fx's are working. (about 26 effects!)
The Fx's under the menu headings of... "Basic" , "Stylize" , "Artistic", or "Photo" do not work!
Under the heading of "Adjustments"... only Invert, and Black and White work... NONE of the others do!
The items that do work are... the Camera Layers, Layers and Selections, Image Blending, and the Basic FX called Gaussian Blur.
Croping image size, text, etc. under the & symbol also work.
So, as you can see....at this point we have purchased an App that is practically USELESS even tho the Google Play Store said that it was compatible with our device.
Please Advise, or Create a proper Update for this device,

Clip inspector in imovie not working properly - when I select a picture - and select clip adjustment it tells me that I need to select one or more clips to view Inspector tools and in a clip the audio adjustment only shows a speaker? help

Clip inspector in imovie not working properly - when I select a picture (in project library) - and select clip adjustment it tells me that I need to select one or more clips to view Inspector tools and when I select a movie clip and then click on audio adjustments the audio adjustment appears as a speaker icon and I don't know how to get to the various audio options? It was working fine one minute and then I seemed to lose the functionality. Also editing a photo in a photo or getting rid of ken burns effect etc does not seem to work. help

Can anyone shed any light on this as I am having the same problem? One minute it works fine, the next you get the error message above.

3d not working right

In Photoshop CC when I add text to a file and click on the 3d icon the text appears and everthing is workable, except the tool in the lower left of the file hardly ever works on all plans. In other words when I place the 'rotate tool' in the tool in the lower left coner (don't know the name of it) it will only move the text around a horizontal axis. Sometimes it will work horizontal and vertical. It comes and goes without any changes or adjustments made by me. Example: I have a file open now that would only rotate on a vertical axis, I tried for hours to find out the problem with no luck. I just checked and its working correctly. Other times I have walked away from the computer with the rotating working correctly and come back and its not.
Twice just by adjusting the inflation and bevel made it work. But thats twice out 20 or 3o tries. I have spent about 6 hours trying everthing that I know but nothing works. It appears to me there is a problem with the program, but i thought I would ask if anyone knows why this is happening

Roll, pan, slide, and zoom tools work fine. The problem is with the rotate tool.
I'm not sure what I'm calling a tool is actually a tool, I now think its just showing the angle of the three axis. So, it seems my rotate tool is what is causing the problem. When your rotate icon is outside the text area it should rotate the text in what seems to be infinite angles (when it works correctly) and takes the plane grid with it. The three angles can be adjusted separately using the adjustments within the text. However these are not smooth when the rotate tool is not working correctly outside the text. Also, PS has crashed 3 times while working in 3d in the last 2 days. Average I think is once every 90 days.
Again this afternoon I was working on a 3d text file and the rotate tool would only work on the horizontal axis, I left the computer for maybe 15 minutes and when I returned it was working on both axis. Also, the small window that shows up to give different views has stopped appearing.

Choosing (Command E) from Lightroom 5.6 to further edit in Photoshop CC 2014 (latest update) is not working. I found a Adobe Photoshop Startup Script that would solve this problem and applied it.
Problem still exists. Photoshop gets no image and if I double click where the image should be I get a finder window where I can select the photo however it will not have the LR adjustments.

This script that Rikk Flohr posted worked for me. You must complete both solutions 1 & 2 which means you have to reload Photoshop CC 15

Local Adjustment Brush does not work in Windows 7, 64-bit

All other tools and functions work OK. My issue is just with the Adjustment Brush; The Adjustment Panel opens when the brush is selected and the brush moves, but none of the adjustments are applied to the image. The problem is clearly related to the new operating system. This was just confirmed, by removing the hard drive with the Windows 7, 64-bit OS, and inserting an old hard drive with Windows Vista, 32-bit installed. The adjustment brush works fine with the old OS and the same version of PS.
My normal monitor resolution is 1920 x 1200 with a DPI of 151; however, this DPI is not compatible with PS, so I reset it to 149 evey time I use PS. Lower screen resolutions and DPI settings don't resolve the problem. I mention this only because of a previous cursor problem that was resolved by changing the DPI.
I'm using CS4 with Camera Raw version 5.6. Version 5.5 also does not work.
Can anyone offer suggestions?

Problem solved. One of the recent upgrades to Camera Raw reset the flow rate to zero, which I did not notice until after posting the message.

TrackPad physical click not working after upgrade to Mountain Lion

Does anybody know how to get my trackpad working again after upgrading to Mountain Lion?
I recently upgraded my MacBook (13-inch, Late 2009, Intel Core 2 Duo) from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion. Everything seems to have gone well, except for trackpad behavior.
The primary problem is that the physical click of the trackpad is now erratic. Sometimes a physical click will work, and other times it will not work.
Note: The "tapping" of the trackpad DOES work consistently. I have confirmed that System Prefs > Trackpad > "Tap to Click" is enabled, and so tapping is not the problem. (The "tap to click" selector does exhibit a unique behavior however--if I DESELECT "tap to click," then the physical click no longer works at all. It looks like the "tap to click" selector can completely disable the physical click of the trackpad, but cannot enable the physical click completely.)
I have also checked the settings on System Prefs > Accessibility > Mouse & Trackpad, but none of those settings affect the physical click of the trackpad.
I tried zapping the PRAM, but that did not change the problem with physical clicking on the trackpad.
Grateful for any ideas...

I ended up taking my MacBook to the Apple Genius Bar. The staff were very helpful.
The apple staff said that there is no known link between the upgrade to Mountain Lion and trackpad misbehavior. In my case, they made some hardware adjustments to the trackpad, and all is working properly again.
Bottom line: if you think that your trackpad misbehavior is related to Mountain Lion, you might want to take it to an Apple Genius Bar. If there really is no connection between Mountain Lion and trackpad behavior, then perhaps they can fix it for you (as happened to be true in my case). But if there IS a connection in some way, it would be helpful for Apple employees to see your evidence firsthand.
