Administration of Analyzer 7.2.2

Hello,<BR><BR>I am about to upgrade to Analyzer 7.2.2 has anyone had any problems with this version. Also how are you managing the users and groups with access rights because I am trialling it at the moment and it appears that if you allocate a user to a group you have to replicate the group settings within the user settings. This seems to be duplicating the work. Thanks for any help you can give.<BR>

We had Reports and Analyzer installed on the same 2003 server and they never played well together. If we had one open, and tried to open the other it bombed. We were on version 7.1 of Analyzer and not sure on Reports.

  • How we can run Oracle Batch Manager in Oracle Sales Analyzer

    Hi,
Please guide me how we can run Oracle Batch Manager in Oracle Sales Analyser.
    Best Regards,

You cannot run Batch Manager directly from within the OSA Administrator or Analyzer clients. Batch Manager has its own GUI client that can be used the define and schedule jobs, however, it also possible to run and montitor jobs via command line as well.
    The documentation helps explain this:

    Does that help?

  • VPN works on Mac but not on Win7

    Hi,
I'm trying to connect to the VPN at my workplace. On my Mac laptop it works fine (I'm connected now) but the same login details doesn't work on my Windows 7 desktop. I must be missing something obvious..The error code I get is:
    807
The network connection between your computer and the VPN server was interrupted. This can be caused by a problem in the VPN transmission and is commonly the result of internet latency or simply that your VPN server has reached capacity. Please try to reconnect
to the VPN server. If this problem persists, contact the VPN administrator and analyze quality of network connectivity.
    I appreciate any help.
    Robert

    Hi,
The type of the VPN connection? A Windows-based VPN server?
If you have installed some 3 rd party security software (anti-virus, anti-spyware, etc.) on the computers,
please temporarily disable or remove it and check if it works
You can also temborarily disbale Windows firewall, check this issue again
Check with your ISP and ensure that the needed ports are not blocked.

  • When we have to go for session method, when we have to go for call transact

when we have to go for session method, when we have to go for call transaction method if i have a 3000 records in flat file. which is better? why

    Data Transfer
During the process of data transfer, data is transferred into the SAP R/3 System. This transfer is from an external system to SAP R/3 system. Whenever you transfer data from an external system into an R/3 System, you can use data transfer because it is installed and regularly transfers data from an external system into an R/3 System.
As discussed, with the help of BDC, you can transfer the required data from a non-SAP system to an SAP system. For this kind of data transfer you are required to write an ABAP program. This ABAP program would help to export the concerned data to a sequential dataset file. The data in this file has to be stored. This should be stored in a format, which is acceptable to SAP batch input program. But, to transfer data from a SAP system to another SAP system, you can take the aid of RFC or CPI-C.
SAP application supports the data transfer of numerous SAP business objects. The said data transfer program specifies the data format definition, which is necessary to import the data into the R/3 System. There are three methods available for transferring data:
    Direct Input:
In this method the SAP function modules execute the consistency checks. However, there are other means of checking with the help of screens. The Direct Input Method has considerable performance advantages.
    Call Transaction:
In this method you can check the data consistency with the help of screen logic.
    Batch Input Session:
In this method data consistency is checked with the help of screen logic.
    Direct Input Method
Among the methods of data transfer through BDC, direct input method is the one that is used, especially in case of transferring large amount of data. In order to enhance the batch input procedure, the system offers you with the direct input technique.
There is a distinction between the batch input technique and this technique. Unlike batch input technique, this technique does not create sessions. Instead, it stores the data directly. Moreover, it does not process screens. The data has to be entered directly into the corresponding database tables. The system calls a number of function modules which execute necessary checks, if any required. In the case of errors, the direct input technique has a facility to restart the entire mechanism. However, if you want to restart the entire mechanism in case you faced an error, then direct input programs must be executed in the background only. One has to use program RBMVSHOW or Transaction BMV0 to maintain and start these programs.
    Call Transaction Method
Call Transaction method is another method used for Data Transfer. In this type of method your program will use the ABAP statement CALL TRANSACTION USING in order to run a SAP transaction. In this type external data need not be deposited in a session for being processed later on. Instead, the entire batch input process takes place inline in your program.
Here, the data transfer program must convert the data that has to be transferred into the SAP system. This is as per requirement by the SAP data structure or the transaction which is using it. It is to be remembered that a conversion of the data types may be necessary at different times during the process.
Suppose there is a data type mismatch then you have to convert the data types to type C. In this regard the data transfer program should be capable of exporting the data in SAP format to the sequential file. At the time of uploading the data into the SAP system, the BDC program reads the data from the abovementioned sequential file.
    Batch Input Session Method
This is the third method for data transfer. If you use the batch input method to transfer data, then you should remember that an ABAP program has to read the external data which is to be entered in the R/3 System. Subsequently, it stores the concerned data a "batch input session." The batch Input session records the actions which are required in the process of transferring data into the system. This can be done by using normal SAP transactions.
As soon as the program generates the said session, you will be able to run the session in order to execute the SAP transactions in it. Moreover, you can start the session, and at the same time, can monitor a session with the help of batch input management function. For this you have to choose:
System à Services à Batch input. Moreover, you can have the session run in the background processing.
    Writing a Data Transfer Program
If you want to write a data transfer program, you have to follow the steps mentioned below.
Firstly, you will analyze the structure of the existing data. Subsequently, your job is to specify the conversions, which are essential to fill the SAP data structures.
Secondly, you have to generate the SAP data structure. In case the program is written in ABAP, you will require only the required tables in the concerned program with the help of TABLES statement.
Thirdly, you will have to initialize the SAP data structure.
Fourthly, fill the structure with data, performing any conversions and error checking that are required.
Finally, you will write the sequential file. In the SAP system this sequential file is typically required for making the data available to the batch input program.
    Batch Input Method
Batch input method is a type of data transfer method. It is used for bulk data transfer; it is one of the primary ways by which data can transferred into the R/3 System. This method is not for near real-time data transfers.
There are various typical uses of batch input. One of the ways includes the one-time import of data. This import of data is from a legacy system into a newly installed R/3 System. In addition to it, another typical use is for periodic (i.e. hourly, daily..., and so on) transfers of data. These transfers are from external systems or legacy systems which are still in use into R/3 system where all enterprise data is consolidated.
The R/3 applications deliver different programs for batch input, which are ready to be used. However, in some cases a customer has to write his or her own batch input program. This is required in order to convert the concerned data from a legacy System or from a proprietary format into an R/3 data format.
The process flows for a batch input are discussed below.
Data Transfer Decision-Making: It is with a decision to transfer data from an external source into R/3 that the process of batch input begins. It is probable that the external source may be a legacy system that is being replaced. A one-time bulk data transfer is foreseen in this regard. Alternatively, the external source may be an external system that is to remain in use. In this case, a regularly recurring bulk data transfer is foreseen.
Setting up Batch-Input for Data Transfers: If R/3 standard one-time or regular data transfers are required, then by means of customizing settings in the R/3 Customizing System in SAP ASAP set up will occur. You must set up custom batch input procedures by hand, which means the system administrator must schedule the data conversion program that creates the batch input session. The system administrator and the batch input programmer must determine the following: how frequently data is made available from the external system, how frequently the conversion program should run, and whether the conversion program runs in R/3 (ABAP program) or in a host system (external program).
Processing Batch Input Sessions: When a batch input session is processed, then the actual transfer of data into R/3 takes place. Little attention is required in processing of batch input sessions by the system administrator. Usually, the starting of batch input sessions is automated by the system administrator. If necessary, the administrators can also start batch input session explicitly from transaction SM35.
Checking Batch Input Sessions: For a system administrator the routine activity is to check daily or more frequently in transaction SM35 whether all batch input sessions have been completed successfully. It is the schedule for running batch input sessions on which the schedule for checking sessions depends upon. For doing this check the R/3 System provides easy-to-use batch input management tools.
Analyzing Errors: It is the duty of the system administrator to analyze the problem if one or more transactions in a session end in errors. Usually, the assistance of the affected data entry specialist or department for this analysis will be needed by the system administrator. In the situation where the problem was caused by incorrect data conversion or incorrect generation of the batch input session then the programmer who wrote the data conversion program may also need to be involved.
Error Handling in Batch Input Method
It is found that most problems usually fall into one of the following two categories discussed below.
In this case either required data is missing from the batch-input session or invalid data has been included in the session. Errors in the data conversion program or the presence of unexpected types of data or incorrect data in the legacy database are the possible external causes of this type of problem. Within R/3, the causes for this type of problem include incorrect or incomplete customizing in an application. For example, a legacy data type may not have been foreseen in the check table entries made in application customizing.
This case mainly includes technical/programming problems. The data is entered by a batch input session by running R/3 transactions non-interactively. Therefore, a typical technical or programming problem is the incorrect identification of one of the data fields in a transaction. Thus, the conversion program may not fill a required data field or may have provided invalid values.
    Conclusion
I have gone through the details of batch data communication and various methods used to transfer data. One can make use of BDC to transfer data from a SAP to SAP system. In addition, it can transfer data from a non SAP system to SAP system too. I have discussed the various methods of BDC and the error handling in the respective methods.

  • ChaRM: Normal Corrrection: Problem in  /TMWFLOW/TS_READ_TRORDER_HDR

    Folks,
I am implementing ChaRM in SOLMAN and have a problem with Normal Correction that I need help with.  When setting a Normal Correction to 'Development Complete' I get the error below.
A technical problem occurred when RFC function module /TMWFLOW/TS_READ_TRORDER_HDR was accessed
    Message no. SOCM_ACTION_LOG 025
    Diagnosis
An exception was triggered when an RFC module was called.
    The module is /TMWFLOW/TS_READ_TRORDER_HDR
    System Response
The system terminated processing. The transaction contains errors.
    Procedure
Check RFC connection NONE to the Solution Manager.
    Procedure for System Administration
To analyze the termination, you can activate the assertions in the socm_rfc checkpoint group.
    Additional Information:
    Exception CX_SOCM_RFC_SYSTEM_FAILURE occurred (program:
    CL_CHM1_INSTANCE==============CP, include:
    CL_CHM1_INSTANCE==============CM00Q, line: 508).
User SMTM<SID> has no RFC authorization for function group SCTM.
The user SMTM Change Request Management comes back all green except for yellow warnings for the Service Desk and ChaRM BC sets having different values.
The RFC destinations in table BCOS_CUST for CHARM_DEST and OSS_MSG are set to NONE.
To further complicate matters I did find the following message post  which is not answered but the poster referenced their SOLMAN development system.  I had a virtual SOLMAN development system configured which I though may have been complicating matters so I deleted it and subsequently created a new implementation project but I still have the same issue.
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Additional Information on BCOS_CUST

It doesn't have the right authorizations. Did you run a trace? On SolMan and the system where the transports are located?
It's probably the auth object S_RFCACL andf S_RFC which are needed in both SOLMAN and the satellite systems.
Development Complete is creating a Transport of Copies, which Urgent does not create, so maybe it's something to do with that, but I think it's probably those two objects.

  • Managing the development within solution manager landscape

    Hi
We have a development system (SMD) and a production system (SMP). SMP is the domain controller and manages the change requests of R/3 DEV, QAS and PRD. Now we want to start deploying enhancements to the functionality in the solution manager itself. I created a maintenance project in SMP and activated the change request management. The maintenance cycle is generated showing SMD as the Development track and SMP as the production track. The status is changed to development with release along with the normal activating and unlocking of the tracks. A change request is created in SMP with the component as SMP system. When I try to create a transport request or try log onto the system, the system is raising different types of error messages. Ideally, it should have created transport requests in SMD and should have navigated there for us to perform the required configuration/development. The error messages are System SMD, client 110 not found when trying to log onto the system and when trying to create a new transport request, it raises the exception with below detailed description.
"A technical problem occurred when RFC function module /TMWFLOW/TASK_START was accessed

Our basis person is also unable to troubleshoot this. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

    Hi Srinivas,
1.Check on the RFCs in SMSY for the SMD and SMP.
2.In the SMSY logical component when you click on the transport route is it showing the proper Transport route as you intented?
3.In the transport route is it client specific?
Please checkon the above and revert back for any clarification.

  • Error 807/800 - using PPTP VPN from Windows 7/XP t...

    Hi,
I wonder if someone could help me? I've had this issue for about 3 months now and I’m completely at a loss now. I’m trying to connect remotely to a Windows 2003 server via Windows VPN (PPTP) from home. This had been working fine for months (Draytek 2830n purchased in Feb 2011), there has been no configuration changes beforehand to cause the problem.
    Problem
From Windows 7 PC – I receive Error 807 – “The network connection between your computer and the VPN server was interrupted. This can be caused by a problem in the VPN transmission and is commonly the result of internet latency or simply that your VPN server has reached capacity. Please try to reconnect to the VPN server. If this problem persists, contact the VPN administrator and analyze quality of network connectivity”
From a Windows XP PC – I receive Error 800 - Unable to establish the VPN connection. The VPN server may be unreachable, or security parameters may not be configured properly for this connection”
    Steps Taken
I have carried out the following steps to trying and resolve the issue:-
    Setup port 1723 on router(s)
Swapped out router for a completely different model
    Upgraded firmware on Drayek 2830N
Tried various laptops and desktop PCs running Windows XP and Windows 7
Switched off local windows firewalls and Norton Anti-virus software
Opted out of BT Web Address Help service
Rebuilt the Windows 2003 Server and setup remote access again.
Tested the desktops and laptops that didn’t work at home from various locations (work, friends houses) and they work fine from another location (so this rules out the Windows 2003
The only thing that I can’t swap out is my BT line to the Exchange. Any ideas or suggestions would be extremely helpful. I’m thinking it must be a problem with my ADSL connection, perhaps the traffic is being blocked (for some reason) as I’ve explored all other avenues. I’m out of contract with BT now (although I don’t want to move ISP) I might end up having to if it solves the problem.
    Many thanks for looking.
    Steve

posted in error as you've already looked at BT web address help. Sorry

  • ST12/ ST05 Details trace list

    Hi All,
Just would like to know after I run the ST12, and open the trace list, my object: eg: EKPO are able to find it the trace list.
Then i tried few times after the new indexes created in EKPO, i not manage to find the EKPO object in the details trace list in ST05. The program is accessing this table to retrieved the EKPO details. Is anyone have ideas how is doesnt show in the list even i hhave display out the all trace lists.

    Hi,
if you miss details (tables) in the ST05 SQL trace, it was most likely overwritten.
Check out ST01 - GoTo - Administration  and analyze the Start and Exit time
stamps of the ST05 trace files. If the oldest start time stamp is newer than
the time stamp when you did the trace the trace data has been overwritten.
Retrace and use appropriate filters in ST05 (include or exclude tables) .
    Hope this helps,

  • Reappears Missing Server Side Dependencies in Sharepoint Foundation 2013 Health Analyzer

    Hi all,
I am a little bit confused why I am getting missing server side dependencies again and again. The missing server side dependencies shows the errors of "MissingSetupFiles". When I click on "Reanalyze Now" button,
the error vanishes from the Health Analyzer page. But after one day it reappears again and shows "Missing Server Side Dependencies", When I again click on "Reanalyze Now" the error of "Missing Server Side Dependencies" goes
    away.
But after one or two days, the error comes up again.
Can you please help me why this is happening.
    Thanks for help.

  • Farm Account cannot access some pages in Central Administration

I am working with a new installation of SharePoint 2013 farm using least-privileged administration. I used a server local admin account to setup SharePoint and to run the Farm setup wizard. During the wizard I used the domain account I had created as the
Farm account. Today I signed in to the Central Admin as the Farm Account (SYSTEM ACCOUNT) and there was a health analyzer problem to correct. "The server farm account should not be used for other services." In the announcement there is a link for
Farm Credential Management. I click the link and the page states "Sorry this site has not been shared with you." I tried to access Security, Configure Service Accounts and got same error. I am able to go to every other link as far as I can tell.

  • Code Analyzer

I am currently using CF 4.5 on a Windows 2000 server and am
trying to migrate to MX7 on Windows 2003. The code analyzer does
not seem to want to analyze code on a remote server, so after I
installed developer version and copied all the files over to the
new server, not only could I not analyze the code, I couldn't use
the CF Administrator because I had overwritten new files with old
files which had tags that MX7 could not interpret.
Is there a better way to copy all of my files over and anlyze
the code without going through myself, directory by directory? I
fear that if I do this then I won't copy over old code that I need,
but that might not run with MX7 and just needs to be rewritten.
I've already uninstalled and reinstalled MX7 to get the
correct base files, and I only want to copy the old code once more,
I'd like to get it right. Please let me know if you have any ideas
    or suggestions.
    Thanks!

We did a similar upgrade and I think you should run every
page. We had a lot of issues with dates. I have read on these
forums that others have had issues with cfinsert/cfupdate.

  • Analyzer 6.5.1.2.01063 Gifs problem

i have a problem when i put an animated gif in a report, when i want to open the report, show me the following error" An unknown exception ocurred while communicating with the server.; nested exception is:java.lang.NullPointerException"how can i solve this problem?thanks

6.5.1 runs on JRE 1.3.1.04, 6.2.1 runs JRE 1.3.0.02. The application looks for the JRE in different folders. It will be a onetime download for the user. You can change the runtime on the 6.5.1 release (Hyperion won't support it but your user field would not have to "re-download".To change your classID do the following:Browse to the <drive:>\hyperion\analyzer\appserver\webapps\Analyzer6_server directory. Open Administrator.jsp in notepad (hold down the shift key and right click on the file. You should see a menu option call ?Open With??, select that and select Notepad from the drop down menu.~ Do a find on ?classid=? (ignoring the ??)~ Change the classid= from "clsid:<%= com.hyperion.analyzer.utils.general.HYAURLParamHandler.getJREClassID(request) %>" to match the classID in the Administrator.html (6.2.1)~ Next look for codebase="<%= com.hyperion.analyzer.utils.general.HYAURLParamHandler.getJRECodeBaseValue(request) %>"> (this should be 4 lines below the ?classid=? line.~ Change the codebase to match the code base listed in Administrator.html~ Save file changes~ Perform the above steps on the file Analyzer.jsp. This will allow you to control the JRE codebase. One word of caution... Hyperion tested and built on a particualr version of JRE for a reason. Unless it is a pain to change the JRE on clients (several hundred users), I would advise upgrading to the JRE 1.3.1.04
