Adobe Acrobat 9 prof. Vers. 9.5.5. Fehlerprotokoll

Ich habe ein Problem mit Adobe Acrobat 9 prof. Vers. 9.5.5. Wenn ich eine pdf-Datei erstellen will (z.B. aus Dateien, Webseiten etc), erscheint regelmäßig ein FP:
Funktion "Einstellungen-Datei wird geöffnet oder erzeugt" konnte nicht beendet werden, Datei entweder schreibgeschützt oder von einem anderen Benutzer verwendet….
Ich klicke dann auf ok, und die pdf wird dann trotzdem korrekt erzeugt. Reparaturinstallation habe ich versucht, und benutzerdefinierte Einstellungen, die evtl. stören, sind nicht vorhanden.
Hat jemand einen Rat?

Ich habe den Übeltäter inzwischen ausfindig gemacht. Ich habe ein älteres QuiteImposing als plugin installiert, und wenn ich das entferne, reagiert Acrobat wieder normal. Woran diese Unverträglichkeit liegt, weiß ich nicht, aber immerhin ist die Ursache damit zunächst geklärt.

Adobe Acrobat 8 Prof - PDFs will not open in Adobe automatically

I have a workstation that has Adobe Acrobat 8 professional installed. I was first notified that the user complained that each time he opened a PDF in an Email, it would open in Explorer. I had him save a document to his c; drive and did a view file type. In that listing, there was no Adobe professional listed. I attempted to browse to the adobe.exe file but each time, it would default back to explorer, even if I checked the box for it to default to the adobe.exe file that I browsed to. I also noted that adobe never became an application in that listing.
We uninstalled adobe and reinstalled it. Still not successful. We ended up installing Adobe Reader, but the user wants it to open in Adobe Professional. I know that he can save the document then open it with Adobe profesional, but this is an extra step and he would like to be able to just double click on the file and open into Adobe Professional.
What do I need to do to make this work?

Can we get off the wrong word use and get back to a solution please. I am in the right folder c:\program files\adobe\acrobat 8.0\acrobat.exe and I am browsing for ACROBAT.exe (not ADOBE.exe - again wrong word in my first discussion)

Adobe Acrobat X Pro Ver. 10.1.7 rendering issues

I have rendering issues with Acrobat X Pro Ver 10.1.7.
When I zoom in to 100% and use the hand tool to move the image around, it moves about 1 inch then it freezes for 3-4 seconds, then I can move it again. This happens at all zoom %, but it gets worse as I zoom in further.
This gets even worse if I add text callouts and text boxes.
Windows reports the size of the .pdf document at about 700 Kilobytes.
I played with the Preferences - 3D & Multimedia - Rendeiring settings, etc. to no avail.
I have 64 bit Windows 7 Enterprise on a DELL Precision M4500-I 1.6GHZ CORE I7 QUAD CORE laptop with 8 GB of RAM and a NVIDIA QUADRO FX 1800M with 1 GB of RAM. I also played with the NVIDIA Control Panel settings to no avail.
This gets very anoying, I need to get work done on these .pdf files and this issue slows me down, and irritates the hell out of me.
I thought my laptop is underpowered, but at this point I tend to believe it is an Acrobat issue.

Reinstalling adobe acrobat 7 prof after upgrading OS but fails create pdf port

Used download manager to reinstall adobe acrobat 7 professional after upgrading OS to windows 7. Install ends but fails with error "Warning 20225. Adobe Acrobat 7.0.5 set up was unable to create a new item Adobe PDF Port & Printer". Adobe is installed but I can no longer print to pdf nor use Adobe directly to create pdf from file. This feature was available before this reinstallation.
How do I fix this?

Acrobat 7 is a 32-bit application and while it can successfully be installed on a 64-bit machine using SysWOW64 (which enables 32-bit apps to work on 64-bit machines), there are some known limitations. One of those known limitations is that 32-bit printer drivers will not work on 64-bit machines.
So you can install the main Acrobat 7 application, but you won't be able to installer the Adobe PDF Printer Driver.

ich stelle seit geraumer zeit fest, dass fast alle Formulare, die mit Acrobat erstellt wurden,
Felder aufweisen, die zum Teil mehrfach übereinander liegen.
Das schlimmste Exemplar bekam ich Freitag, in dem alle Textfelder min. 10 - 20 mal übereinander geschichtet
waren. Wie kommt den so etwas zustande?
Und wie kann man das zukünftig verhindern?

Ein Kontrollkästchen war dabei sage und schreibe 58 mal überlagert.
Liegt es vielleicht daran, dass ,wenn man z.B. die Hintergrundfarbe des Kästchens
ändert, er dann dieses Feld automatisch überlagert?
Das Formular ist schon durch viele Hände gegangen, die evtl. Änderungen vorgenommen haben.

Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional Vers.8.1.3

I'm working with Acrobat 8 Professional Version 8.1.3 german.
When using "F1" or "Help -> complete help Acrobat 8 Professional" to get the Acrobat Help Viewer it only opens a window with "html-format".
How can I change ths without a complte new installation?

I don't recall if I ever ran version 8 in Snow Leopard. I know I have version 9 installed and it has been superceded by version X. So your problem could be that you have an incompatible version. Try posting at Adobe's support forum.

Adobe Acrobat 10 Prof. / MS Projekt / Din A0 Pläne

Hallo,
ein Kunde von uns Nutzt MS Project 2003 und erstellt dort Pläne. Diese druckt er über den Adobe Drucker Din A0 aus. Das Ergebnis ist komplett verzerrt. Das heißt dass Zeilen übereinander liegen!
Hat jemand eine Idee?

Hat mit Acrobat vermutlich nix zu tun, die Seitenaufteilung stimmt nicht in den Einstellungen der Projektmappe, also Druckbereiche, Seitenränder etc. Gleiche Problematik wie bei Excel & Co. auch bloss....

Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 with an HP Officejet G85

For some reason Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 will not recognize the Document Feeder on the HP Officejet G85 All-in-One. I put the Doc into the feeder tray, I open Acrobat Pro 9 and go to Create >> Scanner >> Color Scan. It will only use the flatbed scanner, I went through all the settings and cannot locate any where to tell it to use Doc feeder. One caveat I tried a "free to try" scanning program and it recognized the feeder and worked fine.(Please don't suggest using the "free to try" program I see no reason to buy another program, after buying Acrobat Pro 9)
I am using:
Windows 7 Home Premium
Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 - ver 9.4.1
HP Officejet G85 All in One

Have you tried scanning using Scanner native interface once? If yes, were you able to scan using ADF from that route?
If not here's how you can do it:
1: go to Create > PDF from Scanner.
2: Click on the button [Options] next to Scanner name and set the User Interface as Show Scanner Native Interface.
Now when you click Scan button, you will see Scanner's Native Scan settings window. Hopefully, there will be a setting for selecting the source for scanning (flatbed or adf). Select ADF and scan.
Please give it a try and update.

Is it safe to uninstall older versions of Adobe Acrobat?

It is safe to remove older versions of Adobe Acrobat? I currently have:
Adobe Acrobat 8 Prof
Adobe Acrobat X Standard
Adobe Acrobat XI Standard
The reason I ask is I keep getting Update Adobe Acrobat X and it error's off. So, is it safe to remove 8 and X?

yes, each installation is independent of the others. in addition, there are known issues when trying to use some of the older acrobat versions together like you're doing.

thanks, but that doesn't fixed my problem.
Now i have a language selection in the setup process. i select German, the setup/installation windows are in German.
after installation the application is in English.
i can't change the language in the preferences. there is only English. the option "Choose at application startup" will be ignored. also when i start the application as administrator
It is possible that our company license key is language specific?
i try a normal installation with key and one as trail version. the trial version is in German.
i see this language setup option only if i select trial version during the installation.
As information, the OS is Windows 7 Ent x64 English and the regional / location settings is Germany.

All menu content, include motion, is limited to 1 Gig. This is not easy to calculate. This is not a common error unless you are over.
When projects are revised, particularly numerous times, Encore may not correctly remove old elements.
Easiest method here is probably to start the project over. You can import the menus from the old project.
You can also close this project, and try clearing the media cache.

Let me clarify: the error message when I try to update to 8.1.3 says exactly "error 1606 - could not access network location :." I have tried Microsoft suggestion found here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315352 and here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/886549 I've also looked at http://consumerdocs.installshield.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=Q110724&slice Id=1 and I've also looked on adobe forums for this help... most of the helps give tips for error 1606 but there's some value like "/huh" or "<common administrative tools>.AllUsers\." at the end of the "could not access..." line. Mine just says has ":." after "error 1606 - could not access network location"

I'm using Adobe Acrobat X (Ver 10.1.4) and up until recently i've been able to convert Autocad 2012 .dwg files to .pdf, but after one of the automatic updates I get an error now that says "Cannot convert file type". Any ideas why Autocad .dwg files aren't supported anymore?

I've tried to print to the Adobe PDF printer and that doesn't work anymore either. I used to be able to go into windows explorer and select multiple files, right click them, then select "Combine supported files in Acrobat...". This method used to work until the latest automatic upgrade.

If you have Acrobat, there is no need for Reader. Acrobat 8 is not certified for use on Win8.1, only Acrobat XI. You can get the current cost from the Adobe Store at Adobe.com. The cost is a per computer license. If you have a lot of computer, you might be able to negotiate with Adobe on a volume order or site license (for so many licenses) -- you would have to call Adobe on that.
AA 8 can be made to work in some cases, but I would not recommend it in a business environment. It is not worth risking some hickup with software that is marginally compatible when you have some deadline or such.
