I have a current subscription to Adobe CC and can not access Acrobat X Pro without a serial number - says my "trial version is up"

    Having Logic authorization problems.
    I just bought a new macbook pro. I cloned the harddrive my old macbook (running Logic 9 in OSX Lion) and then cloned to the new macbook pro.
    Whn I try to open Logic Pro 9 - it asks for a serial number. When I enter the serial number from my old laptop
    Logic asks for the "previous serial number or my XS key". I never had a XS key - Logic 8 was my first version.
    I guess I'll to dig up my old Logic 8 installation guide (who knows where it is these days?)
    Why won't the serial number form my macbook work on my new macbook pro?
    Any help is much appreciated

    It is Recommended to do a Complete ReInstall from Original Discs when using Pro Apps and not to Migrate them...
    If your Logic 9 was an Upgrade from Logic 8 you will need the Serial Numbers for Both 8 & 9...
    I would suggest you delete the current version of Logic 9 on your MBP and Reinstall from the Logic 9 Discs...
    Then Run Software Update or go Here...

    I would also recommend doing a Permissions Repair and a Restart after deleting the Migrated Logic 9 and after the Reinstall from Discs...
    It may seem like a lot of work... But the Results will be well worth it...

    Could you please let me know if you are using subscription or bought Acrobat as a one-time purchase.
    If its a subscription, then all you need is to sign in at adobe.com using your Adobe credentials and download the software.
    Otherwise, you might refer the KB doc link mentioned below to find your serial number:

    you purchased an upgrade version of acrobat.  if you don't have a qualifying product (previous acrobat version), you'll need to exchange.

    I have an up-to-date subscription on The Cloud and now for some reason Acrobat X is asking me to enter a serial number. The Cloud also says that I have the updated Acrobat XI version already installed. It is not on my system and I never initiated an upgrade to XI to begin with. Any ideas why this is occuring?     this didn't solve my issue unfortunately. Subscriptions to the Cloud do not require the input of serial numbers. What was also odd about this particular situation was that my subscription was telling me that Acrobat XI Pro was installed and updated, but it was not showing in my Applications folder. I had to locate the Installer for Acrobat XI Pro (HD>Utilities>Adobe Installers), launch this and then UNinstall the program. I then had to reinstall the program through my Cloud Application Manager. This solved my issue. Also, Acrobat X Pro is not part of the Cloud subscription - Acrobat XI Pro is, however. That is why it was asking for a serial number.  I hope this helps someone else. Thanks.

    Tina Hadley did you migrate/transfer your applications over to your new Macintosh?  If so this could cause problems with your serial number being recognized.  Please run the available uninstallers located in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder.  Once this is done you will also want to run the CC Cleaner Tool.  Details on the use of the CC Cleaner Tool can be found at Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html.
