Adobe Air Installation Error
I got a problem with installin Adobe Air. Cant install it in "normal" mods, with "Run as Administrator" and cant install it with the hidden Administrator account. I also tried everything from the Troubleshoot AIR installation guide.
Every time the same message: An error occurred while installing Adobe AIR. Installation may not be alowed by your aministrator. Please contact your administrator.

When running the Fix it, go through the uninstall process and try to remove Adobe AIR from your system. Once finished, download the latest version of AIR and install again.

Make sure we loged in as admin and then we need to first remove the temp files first then we need to unregister the installer and then we need to register the installer so the steps are....
to delete the temp files we need to hold the windows key+R,
We will get the run window then in the box we need to type the %temp% you will get the new window on that window we need to sellect all the files and then press delete
after this we need to try to install the program.
if this works good to go or we can try these steps
Choose Start > All Programs > Accessories > Run.
In the Open box, type "msiexec /unreg" and then press Enter. THAN
Choose Start > All Programs > Accessories > Run.

Uninstalling 1.5.3
Running in admin mode
I checked logs and said retuned with error code 7
Don't know what to do, doesnt seem to be a fix.

After I download adobe air in order to play my games on the table I keep getting a -24" error? How can this be fixed so I can install it.

My previous version of Adobe AIR was 4.0 and was working fine. However, a recent app needed a later version but I cannot seem to be able to install it. Every time I run the installer, it seems to work just fine, no error is reported. However, the AIR is not installed and crashes with following report:

The log covers many attempts. The latest was on 29th September.
Following a suggestion in another forum thread, I checked the file permissions for folder 'c:\users\martin\appdata\local\temp'. As far as I can see, they give full control to the SYSTEM, administrator and sole user (martin) accounts. There are no options with 'Deny' against them.
I have run Microsoft FixIt. I also tried the Windows Installer Cleanup utility (msicuu2.exe) but I got 'Access Denied' with no further details.
Any suggestions?I have managed to edit the Registry so as to get the Windows Installer (MSIExec) to write a verbose (detailed) log. From this, and some web forums, I found that the problem has been caused by a Microsoft Windows security update, KB2918614. This was applied on my PC on 14 August but I think it was released on 12 August. My Windows version is Vista and I don't know if this update or a similar has been applied to other Windows versions.

I went into Windows Update on my Control Panel and found how to uninstall update KB2918614. When I had done this, followed by a Restart, I was able to install AIR and the software that uses it. -
Getting Error Windows cannot find Adobe Air installer
Trying to install Adobe Air. Installation file wont run. Get error when i run the file.
"Windows cannot find 'C:\Users\Matt\AppData\Local\Temp\AIR4654.tmp\Adobe AIR Installer.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again"
I am trying to run the current version of Adobe Air from the Adobe website. Please help.

MattStill no luck cant play LoL...Was having an issue with a asus start up file what was in the TEMP folder also said not found....deleted a registry for it and that one stopped coming up when the computer started...but i still cant install adobe air.

Adobe AIR installation problem
I've been trying to update my AIR install from version 1.0.8.4990 to 2.6.0.19140 but when I try to do so I get an error stating that it might not be allowed by the administrator, even though I am the admin.

I know this issue has been posted before but the solutions in those discussions (Windows Installer Cleanup or Microsoft FixIt Uninstall-Install) do not work. I am in an Enterprise environment and need to get Air updated on all of our computers.

I have been through several keys already and it just continues, another registry key cannot be accessed. "Unable to display current owner" and Access Denied when you try to set the owner. Is this a problem caused by Microsoft or Adobe? This is occurring running either under administrator or an account in the administrator's group.

ADOBE AIR INSTALLATION PROBLEM win7 x64
hi , i have a problem since i formated my computer to windows 7 x64 .. i can't install adobe AIR i have this error :
windows cant find 'C:/users/PC/appdata/local/temp/AIREB40.tmp/adobe air installer.exe' verifiy that you intered the right name , and try again .
i didin't installed AIR since i formated the pc , i tried couple of things written in the forums , still the same problem , i can't find logs because its not even
installed . HELP i downloaded adobe AIR three or four times ... still same problem ,please guys , need help .

Adobe Air Installation problem in Mac OS 10.6.3
I am using a Mac OS 10.6.3, having this error message when installing Adobe Air,
"an error occurred while installing adobe air. installation may not be allowed by your administrator. please contact your administrator"
I downloaded the latest version of Adobe Air from Adobe's website.
Try uninstalling and still having the same problem. Done this troubleshoot method:
1. In Language and Text, only enable English - Then Log out and Log in
2. Make sure in Library - Framework, there's no Adobe Air installation.
Please HelpFinally, you have to do the following ( under Mac OS Snow Leopard ):
-Uninstall ALL air applications.
-Uninstall AIR, using the Uninstaller App ( located in /Applications/Utilities )
AND
-Delete the following directory:
sudo rm -rf /Users/YOUR_USERNAME/Library/Application\ Support/Adobe/AIR/
And BINGO! after doing that, reinstall adobe air, and tweetdeck!!!
There you go, at least that worked for me, hopefully it works for you! -

I cannot seem to install Adobe AIR. I run a freshly downloaded installation executable, but it hangs at "Installing..." and 0% progress for a very, very, very long time, if I let it. This last try has been going for 45 minutes as I write. The only way to get out of the installer is through Task Manager and killing the service, as hitting 'Cancel' just makes the installer attempt to cancel endlessly.
I tried installing it in safe mode but there it gives an error saying I may not have administrative permissions (which I do have);
I created a new user account;
I "run as Administrator" and am using an account with administrative rights;
I tried it through the command line with putting the file in c:\ and running "AdobeAIRInstaller.exe -silent" without quotes from c:\;
I have shut off all my antivirus software;
I tried downloading it with a different browser;
I tried using the MicrosoftFixit.ProgramInstallUninstall, and took Adobe AIR off the list;
I tried uninstalling all Adobe products and then reinstalling them, with Adobe AIR last
... and some more things, but none of this has helped. Here's what the installation log generates when it hangs:

I would much appreciate any help or advice anyone can give me regarding this! This is starting to drive me nuts.

So before we continue, we really need to figure out what the exact error is. Can you, on at least 2 systems, generate the MSI logs we'll need? Here's a document that explains how to enable logging and where to find the logs once they've been created:

Once you've enabled logging, try installing again. Grab the newly created msi logs and either post here or email me at [email protected] I'll examine the logs and see if we can find a common issue between the systems.

I am trying to download an app that needs the adobe air installer. I have adobe air installed, but when I download the app I want I get an error message that the installer file is damaged and to get a new one from the author. Is adobe the author and how can I get a new one installed so I can download my app.
Any help will be appreciated.

what is your operating system?
what AIR version do you have installed?
is the application installer name ComcastCallerID.air (XFINITY Caller ID) ?
is that installer size 2,140 KB (2,190,695 bytes) ?
Do you see this image when you start running the installer
Do you see this image after you click on the Install button
So I assume that you never get to this screen after you click Continue
