Adobe air Won't install apps; won't even install

I tried installing the new seesmic desktop app and kept claiming the package was damaged, so I used perfect uninstaller to uninstall adobe air and tried a reinstall, it now says I need admin rights which is odd because I'm logged into an admin account.

Empty your trash can. Try reinstall.

  • My Creative Cloud won't recognise Apps I already have installed

My Creative Cloud won't recognise Apps I already have installed. I have since installed 1 more and this is the only one recognised and therefore updatable. I've tried logging out of my account and quitting Cloud then changing the opm.db file to opm.db.old in Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE and restarting but still the same. Any help much appreciated!

    Hi Mat,
If your apps are already installed and you are just failing to update, kindly try to below mentioned steps.

  • Adobe Creative Cloud app not displaying already installed apps and can't install new apps Mac OS 10.9

    Hi,
I've been using the new Adobe Creative Cloud 2014 for a couple weeks now perfectly fine, until yesterday. I use Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects quite extensively. This morning, I opened the Adobe CC app and all but Adobe Acrobat Pro show installed.  The other already installed apps have buttons to "install" but clicking this button shows the "Exit Code: 7 - Unable to complete Silent workflow" error in the logs. Ive tried disabling my Sophos antivirus program and restarted several times.  The already installed applications themselves seem to function normally, they open and work projects. I've even tried to uninstall one of the already installed programs (Bridge) and it fails to uninstall, saying I need to restart my computer and disengage my anti-virus, which I've done. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the Adobe CC app as well, and have the same result.  Help.

So I've completed the solutions listed in the help article with no changes. Here is how it has gone with each solution listed in the article. Also, it is not clear in the article whether these steps are to be done in sequence or may solve the problem individually, but since Solution 1 fails for me, doing them in sequence was impossible.
Solution 1: Mac OS: Run the uninstaller in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder to remove the program listed as up-to-date.
This does not work because uninstalling any of these applications does not work. As I stated in the post, the uninstaller for all of my adobe applications (photoshop, bridge, indesign etc) throws the same error each time saying I need to: restart my computer (done) close all applications (done) and disable my antivirus (done, which was fully engaged when I installed the apps originally with no issue) and disable my firewall (done, I don't use one). Not sure what I'm missing on that, plus its a real bummer that I need to reinstall all of my CC apps even if the uninstaller did work because my creative cloud app won't recoginize they've been installed.
Solution 2: Remove the OPM.db file and relogin into the Creative Cloud desktop application using the Adobe ID tied to your subscription.
    This did nothing.
Solution 3: Download and install the latest version of Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app from Creative Cloud for desktop.
    This did nothing.
Solution 4: See the steps listed in Solution 1 to remove all installed Adobe Creative software. Once all Adobe Creative software has been removed, use the CS Cleaner Tool to ensure a complete removal.  You can find details in Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6.
This did not do much because I can't uninstall the software to begin with.
    What am I missing?

  • Include Adobe AIR in apk and app file.

Is there any way to include a Adobe AIR in apk and app file (Android and iOS), that the user dont have to download it and install separtely?
Is it possible to be  done in Flash Builder 4.5 (ActionScript Mobile Project)?

I can't use my itunes install app, always appear 'will install'.  But can sync books, and download via wifi..

I have the exact same problem. I have a 80GB Ipod Classic and i'm using Vista. My Itunes works perfectly until I plug the Ipod in. Same thing with the My computer Page. I've tried to restore settings on my ipod, now it is empty but still shows 12GB taken, I don't understand why.

  • Our business pc had an Adobe Air update. Now pc won't boot up any windows processes.

The Adobe Air update popped up and my biz partner accepted it without reading it. Now the pc won't boot up. He cannot even get to the point of removing the update or restoring the pc. Was this some type of malware or an error that Adobe can correct? HOW do I get it off?

It could be malware: there are LOT of fake updates going around at the moment.
What does the PC do - where does it get to in the boot, what happens next?

  • Adobe AIR: No version greater than 1.5 will install on Windows 7

This came up while attempting to install Pandora One.  The bundled installer for 2.6 did not work.  It appeared to run successfully, even giving a successful install confirmation message, but running the Pandora app just caused the Adobe AIR user agreement window to pop up.  Clicking "agree" or "cancel" had the same effect: the window disappeared, and Pandora did not launch.  Click Pandora icon again, repeat.
I discovered, by manually uninstalling and reinstalling progressively older versions of AIR, that the install finally succeeded (and Pandora worked) once I got back to AIR 1.5.  That's a fine solution EXCEPT: Every few uses Pandora prompts me to update to 2.7.  (I have tried this numerous times, including after doing a recent registry cleaning.  No good.) That's annoying.  I also can't run some apps that require a newer version of AIR.
I browsed, but couldn't find any other forum threads that seemed to address this specific issue, though I see a LOT of problems with AIR install on Windows 7.
I'm glad for any help.  I'm moderately competent, and happy to post any error logs if you think it will help and you can give me some solid instructions on how to obtain them.

hi chris, ive read most of the threads involve this problem, and i've tried everything to install the new AIR but cannot and no fixes work.

  • Adobe air exe to ios app - the process?

    Hi,
I am new to app development. I am wanting to know what is possible and my cheapest option in creating an app for IOS from windows.
The app I am creating is a technical publication wanting to be displayed on anipad.
I have an adobe Air version exe published from robohelp/ framemaker. Is there a way to turn my adobe air application into a IOS App?
If not, what are my other options to get a tech pubs document as a IOS App? I would like to use ideally windows adobe products for the creation of it.
    Thanks

Ye that Merapi definitely seems interesting but it's the Java chops part that I think I'll fall down lol
I've also asked on a java forum if anyone with experience of using Flex in Conjunction with Java can create the function that I'm after but my topic has been ignored like the ugly girl at the prom.
I've never heard of a socket server. Would they be required to be installed on each machine that the interface is installed on?
I'll definitely look into it. Thanks a lot mate.

any of my apps to work. I'm on OS X 10.5.6, and had everything
working prior. I'd like to get this working again, but I can't even
uninstall because the uninstaller is gone, and when I try to
reinstall, it tells me that I have it installed already. I'd really
appreciate any help whatsoever, and I'd like to get this working!
    tahnks!

Terminal is the application you can find in
    Applications/Utilities folder.
After you download the AIR Runtime, double click on the
AdobeAIR.dmg file to mount the disk image. You can copy the Adobe
    AIR Installer file
to your home directory( then you don't need to use the
    command cd).
Launch Terminal. Then type in the command and hit
    return.

  • Adobe AIR 14  video player app : windows 8+, Mac OS 10.8 &10.9, android 4+ not mentioned in Access tech specs

We're currently studying to develop a video player app using AIR 14 targeting Windows, Mac OS and Android.
Access DRM is needed but reading online tech specs (URL Adobe Access - Tech specs), there is no mention of windows 8+, Mac OS 10.8 &10.9, android 4+ support.
Can you please give us accurate information on that topic ?
    Thank you.

    Hello,
    Sorry for delayed reply.
Adobe Access DRM are supported on those platforms.
Basically Adobe Access requirements are same as Adobe AIR requirement.
    Thanks,

  • Adobe Air and SharedObject in app-storage

    Hi there,
I'm developing an air application that loads external swf files from the app-storage folder. In my external swf file I have to store a local object, but every time I try to flush (write) my object I get an error that the SharedObject can't be flushed.
I assume that the Sandbox don't allow this?
I searched the whole web but I found nothing that worked for me.
Maybe it is possible to start (or install) the air application from the app-storage folder?
    many many thanks

Ok, I've found a solution that worked for me. Loader.loadBytes did the job for me. I know that is not recommended but in my case I take control for the external swfs.

  • Will Adobe AIR support Google Glass app ?

I'd like to develop Google Glass app using Adobe AIR. Will GDK support be included in the future Adobe AIR release ?

    That's great insight Colin.
What are the complications? Can you go into any more detail?
I have published an APK from FlashPro it contains just an image and loaded it on Glass (there were no errors) but it's not running.
    Thanks

  • Adobe Air on Mac: "Something Went Wrong Trying to Install This Application" Error

I have been reading several posts on this, but nowhere can I find a solution.  Within the past few weeks, I receive this error any time I try to install a new AIR application:
"Something Went Wrong Trying to Install This Application.  Please install the latest version of AIR from.."
Then it gives me the download link.  I've tried reinstalling, but that doesn't fixt the issue.  I'm using OS X 10.6.3- is there ANY way to solve this?

Hi Jason.  Can you post your install log here so we can take a look at what the problem may be?  To see the install log, Open "Console" to view logging.  Then copy and paste the log here.
In the meantime, try to uninstall AIR before reinstalling AIR to see if that fixes the problem.
    Thank you!

  • Installed App Not Showing as Installed

I'm a bit new to the whole Creative Cloud and I've installed a bunch of the suite which shows as installed, but Edge Animate refuses to show as installed.  Is there some sort of cache to clear or something to fix in order to show that app as installed or is this a limitation of the Edge software?

    Hi SnakEyez02,
Are you on Windows or Mac?
Is Edge Animate installed but still lists the install option within Adobe Application Manager?
Where are you looking to see that its installed where its not showing up?

  • How to get back installed apps after a fresh install?

I would like to start a new installation, format Macintosh HD and reinstalling Snow Leopard. From that point carry on with Lion, Mountain Lion and, eventually but not sure, Mavericks. After the new install could be problems retriving all intalled apps from Applestore?
    Thanks

My imac started with Snow Leopard, then after Lion and Mountain Lion i accepted the upgrade to Mavericks and i didn't appreciate the new interface and usage of some apps, i.e. iMovie. Meanwhile, even before Mavericks, os was slowing down, but even if a bit annoying and unusual still accetable. Consider that i have installed a bunch of apps regularly purchased, mainly fom Applestore. No fancy gadgets. So, as i didn't like that much Mavericks decided to restore from Time Machine. Possibly was a mistake and now i have an enviroment i feel i can't manage. Today, for instance iDvd shut down in an unaspected way three times and then i decided to reinstall. Agree Mac is not Win and, in fact, never had such a problem, but now i need, say for my interior peace, to start from a clean situation. That's why my question, what about my actally installed apps?
    Thanks
