Adobe Application Manager CC not working after last update
Last night I avrived home and sat down to work on my website and other side projects after a long day at work. I opened my application manager and it notified me that it had an update. So naturally I agreed and was excited to see the new upgrade. Sadly after a couple hours of trying to figure things out on to why I wasn't able to access my Adobe Muse and Adobe Application manager after the update I had to give up. I was online with tech support about the issue and was given a link to download the application manager yet again (this would have been my 3rd attempt to do so, and the link that was given to me was outdated). After finding out that this was going to take longer than I had hoped asked if the teck support could help me resolve the Muse issue. I was told that I'd be transfered to the Muse support and never was after an hour or so.
I'm now still stuck not being able to use muse (after a couple re-installs) and not able to use my application manager.
Currently when I lunch my application manager my backgound decktop goes black and the application manager pops up and is white with no options to choose and shows nothing. When I try to use Muse it askes me to log in, and then gives me an error message asking me to please try again later....
Can anyone help, has anyone had this issue before??
(running on a 64bit system, windows 8, Adobe CC Member)
Hi LantzDesign,
Could you please follow this step and let me know if it helps.
Rename the OOBE Folder to OOBE.old from this location and relaunch Creative Cloud.

Just re-installed a fresh copy of CS6 Photoshop on my Yosemite Mac Book Pro and somehow the Adobe Application Manager does not work and therefore cannot verify my copy. What should I do?
I get a message saying that Adobe Application Manager may be damaged and that I should install a new version of AAM. But after downloading a fresh copy of AAM and doing the install, the program (AAM) still will not install. It is like an infinite loop!
Please, someone help!
Thanks!HI gener7!
I'm sorry but I am not on Creative Cloud. I'm still on CS6 and it was the Adobe Application Manager that wasn't working and I could not install the update to this application. My AAM version is: 8.0.0160
The link you provided was the update that I wanted to install but it does not work. A window shows up during that install that says:
We've encountered the following issues.
Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem.
and then the link to the Adobe Support Advisor which leads to a "Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued" page.

Adobe Application Manager does not work
I am afraid this is not the appropriate forum, but it is the closest I could find, sorry about that.
I experience a problem where I can't update my Adobe products, the application manager gives two different erros.
I've come across the issue when I tried to update Photoshop CS 6 Extended 13.0 x64 and Premiere Pro CS6 6.0.0
Since the problem seems to be related to the Application Manager, and not Ps and Pr themselves, I posted the problem here.
When I try to update either of the programs from within ( help > updates... )
I get this error, and in the preferences only the Extension Manager is visible.
When I download the updates from here
Adobe - Photoshop : For Macintosh : Adobe Photoshop 13.0.6 update for CS6
Adobe - Premiere Pro : For Macintosh : Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 6.0.5 Update
And try to install them following the instructions I get this error:
translated:
Updating failed
Can't apply updates
This patch is not for you. Use the menu Help in your product to check for updates and to display a list of the newest available updates.
Contact customer service if the problems persist.
I'm using:
late 2011 15 inch Macbook Pro
OS X 10.9.5
2.2 GHz Intel Core i7
8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
AMD Radeon HD 6750M 512 MB
as part of Adobe CS6 Production Premium:
I wondered if maybe this wasn't the most recent version of the application manager,
but on the downloads page http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates.html
I could not find updates for this product.
I have not yet tried to update After Effects (it did not occur to me that they weren't up to date until I stared experiencing a bug in Photoshop) and I don't really use the other programs in my collection.
If it is useful to try and update the others as well to understand the problem, I'll try to do that.Anhoilan the most recent log file seems to be from 2014. I thought you had removed and reinstalled the software after the running the CC Cleaner tool? Is this not the case?
I would recommend beginning the process again. You can find directions on how to run the uninstallers and use the CC Cleaner Tool at Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6. Please make sure to run the uninstallers prior to running the CC Cleaner Tool.
I would also recommend removing the contents of /Library/Logs/Adobe/Installers/ prior to reinstalling CS6.
Looking again at the installation log folder it looks like you evaluated InDesign CC. This would upgrade the Adobe Application component. Complete removal of all Adobe Creative software titles and reinstallation will ensure you have the correct shared components installed for that application. -
Cannot get Acrobat to install, Adobe Application Manager is not working!?
How do I get Acrobat to install properly? Each time I try, I get the Adobe Application Manager:
cannot select anything in the upper drop down. and if I click accept….nothing happens!Hi Shotgun981,
Adding to what Jeff & Sheena shared, have you got any other product installed on this machine? Is that working fine ? Can you please navigate to the below mentioned location and advice if that worked for you or not.
Library/Application Support/Adobe/SLStore
Rename the above mentioned folder to SLStore_old and try and launch Acrobat . If this doesn't work , please make sure that we have full permissions on the folder mentioned in the kb article. (Note: this Kb article is only for sharing the location and the actual problem is not described in it)

I posted this under the wrong section about a week ago, so I'm reposting my issues here for convenience. I'm a Creative Cloud user. I have been using the 64-bit version of Photoshop 13.0.x on my system successfully for several months now. I have Windows 7, 3rd gen (Ivy Bridge) core i7 processor, 32GB of RAM, a 1TB Hard Drive, and am using an NVIDIA GeForce 670 video card.... so my system has plenty of processing power. Several nights ago, my Adobe application manager pops up on start up (as normal whenever there's app updates to be done) and says there's an update available for Photoshop (version 13.1.2, I think.. or something close to it, anyway) and Bridge. So, as normal, I apply the updates... Everything completely successfully according to the Applicatino Manager. However, when I try to start photoshop after the update, I get this window that pops up immediately upon double-clicking the Photoshop 64-bit icon on my desktop: "Adobe Photoshop cannot run on this computer because this version of Photoshop requires Windows 7 or later." All I can do is "X" out the box to make it go away, so I did. Weird because obviously I have Windows 7 and all of my other software works great on my system, and I have Lightroom 4.3, other Adobe stuff, Serif software, ACDSee, etc... and I get no problems out of ANY of them running on my officially licensed version of Windows 7. So just for the heck of it, I uninstalled Photoshop completely and then reinstalled it using the Adobe Application Manager. It installs version 13.0, which then allows me to open and use Photoshop as normal. I proceed to "check for updates" from within the program, and it takes me to 13.0.2 I believe. I can use Photoshop as normal after that. Here's what I think is funny... I can check for updates to my heart's content after updating to 13.0.x. The program thinks there's no updates available after 13.0.x. The only way my system knows there's a later version out there is if I power down my system and restart it. Then and only then will Adobe Application Manager come up and tell me there's an update available (13.1.2) which, if I chooose to install (and I did), takes me back to the error that I mentioned earlier: "Adobe Photoshop cannot run on this computer becuse this version of Photoshop requires Windows 7 or later". Soooo with all of this said... DOES ANYONE know how the updated version of Photoshop (13.1.2) for Creative Cloud Subscribers checks to see if it's running on a Windows 7 system? For whatever reason, it doesn't think I have Windows 7 after updating to it, and I'm stuck! I know if I contact Adobe Support, they're going to want to uninstall ALL of my Adobe software of which I have alot, and then reinstall everything... and quite frankly, I think all that is a bunch of crap! It's plain and simple... Photoshop works BEFORE the update, and will not open due to this error AFTER the update, so there's some issue with the updating procedure that causes Photoshop to not recognize my Windows 7 system, and I just pray that SOMEBODY out there might be able to help me change some setting on my system that will cause Photoshop 13.1.2 to actually work!
UPDATE: I decided to check the 32-bit version of 13.1.2, and it works! So it looks like this error is limited to the 64-bit version. That just makes no sense at all to me.
UPDATE # 2:
I followed Jeff Wright's advice about checking the installation error log. I had no errors... An error log doesn't even exist in my case. The funny thing is that the 32-bit version works beautifully! After reading this thread, I thought that the problem might be related to my video card driver. Although I don't see any logic to that, I decided to go out to the NVIDIA website and update my driver. The driver I had was only 3 months old. Anyway, I did it. I then uninstalled Photoshop using the Windows 7 uninstall program utility and reinstalled Photoshop. I get the same error message when I try to run the 64-bit version of 13.1.2.. something to the effect of "this computer must be running Windows 7 to run this program." However, the 32-bit version loads and works perfectly. Since I'm now at my wit's end, I decided to uninstall Photoshop again, but this time using the REVO uninstaller utility hoping that somehow that the Windows uninstaller wasn't working correctly. I completely uninstalled it, reinstalled it using Adobe Application Manager and get the same results. As long as I stay at 13.0.x, Photoshop works fine in both the 32-bit AND 64-bit editions, but as soon as I using Adobe Application Manager to update to 13.1.2, the 64-bit program won't run. I just don't understand how the 32-bit version will run perfectly, but the 64-bit version won't. THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY !!! -

When you copy 10-evdev.conf file into /etc/X11 you completly override previous system configuration. It's the reason copying synaptics configuration file into /etc/X11 fixes the issue
Defining default system configuration in /etc/X11 with previous xorg was a mistake, now it's fixed.
Wiki should be fixed. It's not a packaging bug, but a configuration bug.
@lordheavy
I agree with you that the new xf86-input-synaptics package is using the right configuration scheme, however it is breaking the functionality on every installed system. It was a packaging bug, which is now fixed, but it has to be handled manually by most users of previous versions. That's why I won't re-open the bug report FS#41589. Instead, I am asking here: shouldn't this change be notified to the users just like it has been done for most breaking changes on archlinux frontpage news?
By the way, thanks for your great work. -
Auto-lock is not working after last update
After installing the newest IOS update the auto-lock features quit working. It was set to auto-lock after 5 minuets of inactivity, I have reset that to 2 minuets and it still does not auto-lock. If I forget to manually lock it after using it my battery runs down.
About the same time that I did the IOS update I installed the Printer Pro app from the App Store. I have deleted this app from my IPAD but auto-lock still does not work.Have you tried resetting your iPad?
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds).
No data will be lost. -

Application Manager no longer works after I got a new computer.
I moved all of my data from one mac to the other, but the Adobe Suite no longer works.
I tried to re-install it, but it says now that Application Manager is damaged, it keeps sending me to the download page, I download, it starts installing then it says it is damaged, and so on... Got any idea?
Thank you!1)
Click on the Finder and look for the options listed next to Apple Icon located at the top left corner of the Desktop screen and click on "Go" menu button and select "Utilities" option.

I have problems with Adobe Flash Player 11 NOT working after several attempts to download, then uninstall, & re-install.
I uninstalled the previous versions of Adobe Flash Player from my computer PRIOR to attempting to install the new 11 version, so now I'm unable to view videos, etc.,
I'm using Windows Vista 32 bit, Internet Explorer 9.0 (which I closed when I got error messages during Adobe Flash Player 11 Installation. I've disabled my AVG -Virus also during the installation of Flash Player 11.
FYI, I'm not computer savvy so the YouTube video by Adobe Tech was too complicated to follow AND I'm unable to view (DUH!) it since I have no Flash Player program installed (doesn't make sense!) .
Thanks for keeping it simple (KISS for me).I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling some 30 times now ..rebooting, you name it.
I haven't been able to use flash since Adobe kindly shoved that latest update down my computer's throat.
Right after getting the 'successful' installation message I restart IE9 ..go to my channel on youtube and immediately get the message:
The Adobe Flash Player is required for video playback.
Get the latest Flash Player
I tried Chrome and on two or three it worked but then even after closing out of them ..Chrome slowed down to a crawl and finally informed me that Flash had stopped working.
This has entirely wasted 3 nights of my time. It is 2:30 am and I should have had at least 2hours sleep already to rise at 6:30 but no, thanks this I'm still up and no doubt millions of other computer users are having just as much fun.. Everyone I know that allowed the updates to install ..is having the same problem ..Chrome/IE9/Firefox ...you can truly call it Adobe's Universal Cluster ...
I live with Adobe. At work we have 6 fully Adobied LR4/CS5 & 6/InDesign workstations. I'm a photographer using nothing but Adobe products and quite frankly I feel this is the worst treatment you have ever given your customers.
Please stop the CYA and just fix the damm thing! I realize you didn't write it Chris but surely you can get Adobe management to address this instead of just trying to get their users to try and debug it for the airheads that released it. Has anyone stopped to consider the financial damage being done due to videos not playing the ads that support the sites and no doubt stream revenue to Adobe? These guys have rolled the online experience back 5 years minimum and Adobe will probably pay the price for it. Re-issue a working version and go back to the drawing board! -
Installation Error: "Adobe Application Manager has stopped working"
Alright, so I did about 4/5 hours of googling and searching and trial&error, and FINALLY got passed the issue of a "pending machine restart" at the beginning of the Adobe Installer's work. (All explained http://forums.adobe.com/thread/872455?tstart=0.)
The issue with the Application Manager is what is stopping me now.
Once it gets to about 3/4 through the installation, a 'Microsoft Windows' window pops up stating "Adobe Application Manager has stopped working". It searches for a solution, finds not, and gives me no choice but to "Close Program".
Don't know how to fix this... please help. I've been searching for nearly 3 hours now trying anything I can find or think of doing. If you have had a similar situation or even a suggestion, please let me in on it! Thank you all very much!
-RebeccaI'm not even sure what it was downloaded to. Should I delete the application
manager and the download it again with ie to see if it works then? And if
not, try it again only with Firefox?
Edit: I tried this and had no luck. Need some serious help... -
I installed Elements 12 because my version of Photoshop (CS5.1) is not compatible with Yosemite. Now the Adobe Application Manager will not search for updates for any of the programs in CS5.5 that I have. How do I fix this?
'''Except 8.0.x version also supported version is 3.6.24 '''you can find it here:

check the system requirements:

Check the properties of casuser under Start > Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Local Users and Groups > Users and make sure it is not disabled or locked out. The only thing checked should be "Password never expires". Change anything required and reset casuser. -
