Adobe Content Viewer no Windows Vista

I’m experiencing the Adobe Creative Cloud. I have installed on my Windows Vista system. When generating a Folio in indd CS6, Adobe Content Viewer does not open. What might be happening? Thank you. I await a response.

See http://helpx.adobe.com/digital-publishing-suite/kb/manual-install-content-viewer.html for details on how to resolve this issue.

  • Adobe content viewer for windows 7 or 8

i can't find Adobe viewer for windows

Well, I have the Adobe Cloud subscription which includes InDesign, so installing the Adobe Content Viewer is not a problem.
All I really want to know is if you can use touch controls to navigate in Adobe Contnet Viewer on the MS Surface. It could be unlikely but as Neil said above, it might magicly work : )
The reason I am looking at the Surface is because I thought it would be a good portfolio/presentation device to show to clients in a tablet form that could also show Flash which most tablets can't.
If it could show Adobe Content Viewer folios that I have already created for the iPad and utilize touch controls, that would be the best solution.

How do I download the most recent edition of Adobe Content Viewer for Windows so that I can re-install it?

Do you mean the desktop preview tool that installs with the InDesign tools? Or do you mean our Adobe Content Viewer for Windows 8.1?

  • Adobe content viewer grey screen after login on windows 8.1

we're on Windows 8.1, content viewer is not running, after login it shows a  grey screen with just "Adobe content Viewer" on the upper left, but  nothing working....

I'm sorry Neil, I'm working on a folio on Indesign, if I share the folio from Folio Builder (Indesign) to my account, and then I open adobe content viewer on my iPad, I can see the cover of the folio shared and I can download it.
Instead, with the same account on adobe content viewer (windows 8.1), I see nothing and I can not do any action.

  • Edge Animate ad banner to open up a link in the in app browser window of Adobe Content Viewer

Hi I've got an adobe edge animate banner that animates and looks good. But I need it to be able to open a link (once the banner has been tapped on) in the Adobe Content Viewer app's in app browser window. Presently it only opens up within the 300x600 box that the ad is in.

Can you post your current link code?
It sounds like you are using the "_self" property which is opening it up inside the banner.
    Try using window.open("yourlink", "_blank");

When installing Adobe Photoshop CS3 on Windows Vista I get this error "Setup has encountered an error and cannot continue. Contact Adobe Customer Support for assistance. Internal Error 2739" I have used the cleanup script included in Adobe Photoshop CS3 installer, and have removed all traces of Adobe apps including the beta versions and Acrobat 8 pro, and I still get the same error, how can I install this application? is there any way or do I have to reformat and reinstall windows?

    Hello everyone,
I was having the same issue:
"Setup Error. Setup has encountered an error and cannot continue. Contact Adobe Customer Support for assistance. Quit."
If you receive this error also, press Quit and follow these steps:
    1. Start
    2. Control Panel
    3. Administrative tools (in classical view)
    4. Event Viewer
    5. Application
You will see something like this:
Double-Click for error (emphasized by red color). I have an error like this:
"Error 1327.Invalid Drive: E:\" if you have the same or e.g. Drive F:\ ir whatever letter, you should solve this problem extremely easy - just insert USB-flash into computer (it will launch as E\ or whatever disk) and than run installation again. It will work than.
Setup doesnt start if disk is offline.

  • How do I view folios in Adobe Content Viewer on device?

    Hello,
I have just upgraded to the Creative Cloud. In my newly created folio, I see the icon for Local Folio. How can I get that folio to the cloud, so I can have it downloaded to my device in the Adobe Content Viewer?

    Hi Jo,
When you create your folio you can preview it by:
    1) Opening the Folio Builder window and clicking Preview > Preview on Desktop at the bottom left
    2) Opening the Folio Builder window and clicking Preview > Preivew on Jo’s iPad at the bottom left (only works if you have Adobe Content Viewer installed and open on a plugged in iPad)
To actually compile your app and install the development ipa file on your iPad:
    1) Select your Folio in the Folio Builder window
    2) From the top, right flag pull down select “Create App”
    3) This will launch the Digital Publishing Suite App Builder that takes you through the steps to create the ipa file

  • Viewing Folios with DPS Folio Producer and Adobe Content Viewer on IPad?

What is the path to viewing a folio, on an IPad, that has been published with the DPS Folio Producer.
Opening Adobe Content Viewer on IPad has no obvious path to the folio in the Producer.
There is no obvious path to the library in Adobe Content Viewer, either?
Logged in both with Adobe I.D.
    Using ID CS6 on Windows.
Also as a Creative Cloud single member what is the process of being able to publish unlimited apps to the IPad.
Thank you in advance for your response.
    James Goins

Unfortunately, if you're on Windows you have no process to publish an
    app. You need a Mac.
I wish Adobe would allow Creative Cloud members to use the same process
that Pro and Enterprise subscribers have by exporting a zip file. You
still need a Mac but you can pretty much use any Mac you have access to.
With Creative Cloud to publish a Single Edition app, you must have
InDesign installed on a Mac and you generate the app by choosing create
app from the folio builder panel menu.
All that said, if you create a folio while signed into the folio builder
panel, that folio should show up in Adobe Content Viewer as long as
    you're properly signed into it.

  • Limitations/issues Adobe Content Viewer (Adobe Viewer) on Ipad 1 (not tested on 2)

There a a few problems/limitations I'm running into with the Adobe Content Viewer for Ipad 1 (not tested on 2), like:
Autoplaying more than 1 multiple-state is impossible. Only the object in the highest place in the layers is visible (like having pulsing navigation arrows and a fade in text) -works perfectly in de windows Adobe Content Viewer with Indesign 5.5
Autoplay of an multistate object with 'stop at last frame' does not work. It just fades the entire multistate object out, instead of holding. -works perfectly in de windows Adobe Content Viewer with Indesign 5.5.
Cropping Images (changing the objectbox) in indesign, becomes skewed (or squashed) like the image just gets pushed in the new objectbox size.
Buttons with a click image/appearence become invisible in a multistate object. -works perfectly in de windows Adobe Content Viewer with Indesign 5.5.
    Some ideas for change
Not allowing an Overlay (which is larger than the page itself) on a page depth of 1, on top of a page with depth 0. Seeing content of the page below the currentpage seems quite unuseful.
Allow multistate objects to autoplay within another multistate object (thus allowing like a: menu catagorie wich can call an autoplaying slideshow)
Zooming in on an image without first having to tap on it to enable zooming.
    Updating content button.
Hitting the update button in Indesign cs5.5 (windows) doesn't update all changed content.
Hitting download update in de Adobe Content Viewer (Ipad 1) doesn't change all changed content. Archive and redownload nessesary.
We would love to see the top issues working.

    Update on 24-Feb-2012
There are a few problems/limitations I'm running into with the Adobe Content Viewer for Ipad 1 (not tested on 2), like:
Navto:// crashes to non preloaded pages with slideshow:
    Additional information/ text examples:
                    - Say we are on page 2. depth 2:  and you link to page 4 with depth 1 (not 0/first) (which has a slideshow on that page) This results in a crash.
                    - Linking to pages with depth 0 (and have slideshows, works.
                    - Say we are on Page 2, depth 3 and link to Page 3 depth 2 with a slideshow, works.
                    - Linking to all next to pages and top pages with slideshows, works.
Fixed (viewer 2.3.1) Autoplaying more than 1 multiple-state is impossible. Only the object in the highest place in the layers is visible
(like having pulsing navigation arrows and a fade in text) -works perfectly in de windows Adobe Content Viewer with Indesign 5.5

  • Adobe content viewer "error during download, please try again"

I'm experiencing some strange behavior in the new version of adobe content viewer.
When Launching the viewer app for the first time on an ipad I will get the login screen, enter credentials and then be presented with the home page, with an Icon for my one published folio, HOWEVER:
My icon is missing on the home page
When I click the folio to start a download, the icon in that window is missing.
I click download in the upper right and reciever the following error: "error during download, please try again"
I noticed that in the upper left, my viewer app still says "Sign IN" not sign OUT like it normally would.
If I hit sign IN in the upper leftt, the icon previews then load, and the app will download properly.
Has anyone else experienced this? It seems to be new with this latest release.
    Thank you.

Here is the screen after I enter the Login once. note the "sign in" in the upper left, and the blank icon, yet it pulls the folio title in fine.
This is after you click the above blank icon.
And this is the error after clicking download. presumeably because the account isn't "logged in"

  • Adobe Content Viewer/no interactivity or animation

    We're running InDesign CS5.5
I work at an advertising agency and just had my IT department update my extensions to:
    Folio Producer Tools v.1.10.1
    Folio Panel v.12.2.2.1
I also updated my Adobe Content Viewer App on my iPad 2.
    My problem:
The pages show up in Content Viewer, but no interactivity or animation of any kind works now. It used to.
    Thanks,
    Aaron

[Animations DO NOT work with PDF! It’s SWF only.]
You are right, I was remembering a robust presentation we did a while ago and we hosted it as an SWF file on the web. I thought it was a "PDF (Interactive)." Thanks for setting us all straight.
Much to your benefit... I spoke with another Art Director here and we figured out why my elements weren't working.
Here are the answers for everyone's benefit:
    1. SCROLLABLE FRAME: I didn't include the Empty graphic box on the far right of the active viewable area. (See Bob Bringhurst's "Digital Publishing Suite Tips App")
    2. All BUTTONS must be scripted "On Release" (I incorrectly had it as "On Click")
    3. My second BUTTON was an info icon that I wanted to show a modal [pop-up] window and then have some way to close that new window.
    Incorrect way:
I made both the info icon and the modal window as buttons and used the "Show/Hide button" actionscript. This doesn't work with "On Release."
    Correct way:
Make the modal window into a Multi-state Object.
State 1= No Fill/empty graphic box. State 2= the complete modal window. State 1 is the default view so it appears blank when the viewer first sees the page. The info icon button "On Release" shows State 2.
To make the modal window disappear, create a separate No Fill/empty graphic box DIRECTLY OVER the modal window. (Don't to forget to add an "X" or "Close" into the design as a visual clue only). Make this empty box a button and have it script "On Release" to show State 1 of your multi-state object modal window.
Thanks to you guys! I'm sure I'll have more. And thanks a million for the App with tips Bob B., keep updating this please!

  • In design 5.5 pop up and mouseover activities cannot be checked in 'Adobe Content Viewer'

Click n mouseover popups created in in design5.5 can be viewed in preview window but cannot be viewed in Adobe content viewer.
For such small interactivities also, do we need to convert it into flash and then with wallaby to HTML5 and then import back in In design5.5 working file.

    Hi Andy,
The way to add in that missing information is via the Folio Properties window. If you build your cover art, in horizontal and vertical orientations, and upload it via the folio properties it should show up in the Content Viewer index page. You can also add a Publication Name in the same window.
    1. Highlight a folio and select "Properties"
    2. This will open the Folio Properties window
    3. Click on the folders next to each Cover Preview window and select your files.
    4. Add the name of your Folio into the "Publication Name" field.
