Terry,
I guess I miss something. How can I share a folder of photos? When I return from a shoot, I select 20 of the pictures and need to share them with my client to pick up the favorites. Am I supposed to copy and past an URL for each image separately?
Sometimes I also work with a colleague, I need to share my favorites with him. Same issue.
We have tried Adobe Cloud, and then went for Dropbox. There we can share a folder and he can put even his pictures in it as well. That's what I call collaboration. And it is free (unlike Adobe Cloud). If you have some word in Adobe, please tell them to either drop it and make a deal with services like Dropbox, or make it properly.
Thanks.
Vaclav

  • How to share files with iOS and android phone with my iPhone 6

I Just wanna know how to transfer files from iPhone to android phones and vise versa.

Best bet would be to use a third party cloud service such as DropBox or Box. Apps for them should be available for both platforms (they definitely are for iOS).

If you mean just moving files between a Mac and a PC with XP on it, get a USB flash drive, format it FAT32 (they usually come that way) and copy the files to that drive.

  • Still not sure how to share files with my friend's Windows PC?

I went through all the help pages concerning this, but it doesn't seem to help any. On our house internet connection, both our computers use the same IP address. I tried connecting directly to his computer using ethernet cable, but his computer never showed up. Our workgroup name should be the same, his is WORKGROUP but I'm not sure how to officially make mine that. I went to Network in System Preferences and clicked on Advanced... then went to the WINS tab and it has workgroup in the workgroup box, does this mean my computer is using that workgroup name? I'm at a loss and would like to share files with my friend's computer.

    Do you have a router?
If not then sharing files will not be easy.

The add the Mac to the WORKGROUP
Applications > Utilities > Directory Access
    Select SMB/CIFS
    Click Configure
Change Workgroup to match the Windows Workgroup.

  • How to share files between pc and mac via external hard drive

how can i share my files(mp3,mp4,documents) from my harddisk with mac. i am a new mac user and i have a harddisk of NTFS format(as i was a pc user).I learned that mac supports FAT32 format and therefore i can't write data on my external hard drive.
but, reading a section of OSX yosemite(under compatibility) it is said that now we can easily share files between pc and mac.
So please suggest me easier way that how can i share files between macs and pc as my friends uses pc and in future i really want to share my data with them without any hustle and i dont wanna loose my data in future

You can format the HDD to a common one like ExFAT or Fat32 but a reformat will delete all data off of the HDD.
Your other option is to use a third party software such as Paragon or Tuxera that will allow you to write to a NFTS formatted HDD.
    Ciao.

  • How to share files with others?

Hello! I wanna share some files with my home mates who are both Windows users. I wonder how to do it.
    Thanks

If you open up your system preferences, and along the Internet row, you should see a "Sharing" icon. Within there you would have the option to enable Windows File Sharing.
You may want to try this feature and follow the instructions within that preferences pane.
If this doesn't prove to be worthy, try establishing a connection through the internet (if available). Otherwise you could simply burn CD's from your Mac and transfer them that way to the PC's. This is of course if your Mac is a CD burner.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to share files with your friends ?

I downloaded the OS X server, but can not share files.
    Please help me understand.

If your friends are not on your home network, you should upload the files to a public file server. If they are on your home network, use File Sharing. Either way, you don't need Server.

  • How to share Protos with clients

After installing an trying out Proto, I'm impressed with this "start". It still needs a few things to truly be a great app though. Aside from the fact that you can't open a Proto file in Dreamweaver, although I believe this will be addressed shortly by an extension, I would like to see the ability to name div's that you add so that when the HTML is generated it is a little bit more meaningful than the random div names Proto generates. Also it would be good if you could enter div dimensions manually.
Adobe should also come up with a Proto viewer so that you can share with your customers.

    Thanks for your suggestion.
Interesting request for manual input about Div dimention. We hear a lot of request for Desktop version of Proto to have precise control, but not tablet since we are focused on gesture drawing.
Regarding Proto Viewer suggestion, we offer Creative Cloud.
When you Sync and upload your file, you can view file in Creative Cloud.
When you see the thumbnail of your Proto file, there is small "zoom" icon on bottom right of the tumbnail, you can see Live HTML of your Proto file. Please try it out.
Currently, only the person(Adobe ID) who upload Proto file can be seen this Live HTML. We are planning to make it sharble soon.
    Thanks,
    Takashi

  • How to share documents with iCloud and Pages?

I keep getting reminded to remove everything from iWork, but I don't really understand how to share anything (documents) on iCloud. Am I missing something? (Well, I know I am, but it isn't exactly straightforward to me.)
Could someone point me to some information about that?
    Thanks.

You can store iWorks docs on iCloud, but you cannot share them with others.  The old iWorks beta web site let you host files for other remote users to have access to them, and iCloud (at least not now) does not allow that.

  • How to share files with other PC users such as html file?

I am creating a website using QuarkXpress. Now I uploaded my html and image folder directly to my Site folder. My client has a PC, but cannot open the http address to view the page. Web sharing is on, also file sharing. What did I miss?? Thanks for your help.

Hi, there are actually 2 Sites on your Mac.
Open System Preferences>Sharing, highlight Web Sharing & look for something like this...
View this computer’s website at http://192.168.1.4/ or your personal website at http://192.168.1.4/~naxten/
Oh, is your client remote, or on the same local IP range?
