Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard installer not listing InDesign as an option.

I uninstalled InDesign CS5.5 from Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard to try get Adobe Content Viewer working. But now there is no way to re-install from the from the Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard Installer. It only lists my remaining products: PS, Ai and Acrobat X. How can I re-install?

On Mac 10.7.5.
In Utilities/Adobe Installers/ I used the "Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard". I unchecked InDesign to uninstall with the intent of re-installing later. The screen for the installer now looks like this: As you can see, there are no re-install options.

    I had purchase Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 design standards (Student and teacher licensing), but I lost the disk and still have my product code. I tried downloading from the available downloads but the product code i have doesn't work. Where can i find a CS5.5 design standard student and teacher licensing download?

    There is no specific version designated for student/teacher versions, the software you get is the same as any other 'version'... the serial number is what designates the version status.  You might have used the wrong product code or maybe you need to adjust your approach to the attempt to acquiring the download.
    Make sure you have cookies enabled and clear your cache.  If it continues to fail try using a different browser.
    You can also download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
    Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.

    Trying to add my adopt creative suite 5.5 design standard-student teacher to my new computer since my old one crashed, but the new computer has no CD Drive.  We transferred the files to an SD card, moved to desktop but it won't load.  I also tried to download the online version but when it gets to the part where I add the license it errors stating serial number not valid for this version.  Read everything I can find any suggestions.  Thanks in advance.

    Dear Jeff, it seems I have a similar problem. I have a CS 5.5. Design Standard on CD, student edition. Now my new laptop does not have a CD drive.
    I have been trying to find a download at the Adobe site, but under the heading of CS 5.5. it gives access to a newer version. So I guess my license wouldn't work (I did not bother to try this).
    So any help is welcome:
    > how do I get a download for the correct version, or how would one transfer the files from CD to laptop (Windows 8, running under Parallels on a MacBookAir)
    > how do I proceed with my productnumber and verification of my student status (I have not done so yet)

    I reinstalled the OS on my mac. After that I reinstalled my "Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard" from the discs. Illustrator etc. working fine, but when I try to enter the serial number when starting Acrobat it says: "This serial number is not valid for this product".
    Please help, because I really need Acrobat

    I installed on my iMac the Yosemite and now I can't start my Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Programs (Student and Teacher Edition). There is a message, that I have to install an old Java SE 6 Runtime-Version.
    How can I install this Java Version? I can't find it on the internet.
    Are there other possibilities that solve the problem?
    What would be the best upgrade-possibility?

    This is something to do with certificate handling and compatibility issues. you need to hack some .plist file, I believe... I keep forgetting the exact solution and don't have a link handy, so perhaps ask in the more active forums for PS or AI perhaps...

  • Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard - Windows

    I am trying to install the paid-for (not trial) Education Edition of the above software on my PC.
    My PC meets the system requirements of the software.
    The issue is that at 20% installation, while the Adobe Switchboard 2.0 component is being installed, the PC "hangs."
    Does anyone know why this happens, and what I can do to fix it?

    PS In the meantime, I stopped the installation and uninstalled whatever was installed up until now, so that I can start again, from scratch.

    My PC meets the system requirements of the software.
    And 99% of all fridges meet the requirement to keep things cool... See what I mean? Always provide the full system specs! You could  be overlooking something critical despite your best efforts. Anyway, Switchboard acting up rings a bell... Either you have some previous Adobe software on the system or it#s one of the usual Flash Player/ Adobe AIR things. So uninstall those things and try again. also run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool from the support pages just to be sure...
