Adobe Creative Suite Premum 5.5 Install fails - TWICE
I have a new computer and virtually nothing installed on it except the MS Updates. I tried the instructions on loading the Adobe CS Premium 5.5 and followed them to the tee -twice, without deleting the first install, as the instructions did not state to delete any prior install attempts..
I got the following two install failures. I have MS Windows 7 64 bit Professional installed. The Adobe part number is PN 65127685.
Does anyone know what the problem is ? I could apply the update patch from within the program(s) and I can not see anything failing yet.
I was told that this product comes with the ability to install on 2 computers. Will my attempt to install on a second computer now fail ? Will I have to get Adobe to reset the install counter ?

Install has nothing to do with activation. you can install on a million computers, but only activate on 2. So far nothing critical has happened. Your install failure relate to file access issues which could be anything from permissions issues to hardware problems (misconfigured or missing drivers for SATA, SSDs or RAID). Make sure to run as admin and verify your hardware is properly installed.

Trying to match Adobe Creative Suite Serial Numbers with Installed Software's
I'm trying to log all of my Adobe Creative Suite Software's in an Excel Sheet so i can know which computer the software's are installed on. I own and registered 8 versions of Creative Suite for our office, but i'm trying to now find out which computer each one is installed on for our database logs. When i try to compare our software's serial numbers (Ex. Photoshop, Illustrator) to our Creative Suite serial number nothing matches. How can i find the correct serial numbers to know which computer has which Creative Suite installed without the CD-Roms?
You can't. You will have to deactivate and reactivate by inputting the serial numbers from scratch.

Adobe Creative Suite Premium All Re-install Except PhotoShop
I have been using Creative Suite Premium for over 4 years. It was working fine until several days ago when Photoshop locked up. After closing it, I have was not able to get Photoshop to run. I have tried to uninstall and re-install the entire suite several times. All of the programs in CS installed fine and I can open them and work in them, EXCEPT PhotoShop. PhotoShop is the main program I use. When I tried to install just PhotoShop, I got an error message that the serial number is invalid. I re-checked and re-entered the serial number several times, but always got the same error message. I don't understand whay happened in the first place and why the problem is only with PhotoShop.
I use PhotoShop on a daily basis with my job, so I need it to be up and running. I am also on a limited income and budget and cannot afford to buy their expensive upgrades, nor should I have to since the program has been working fine all this time.
I tried the Tech suppport chat and after a lengthy wait and discussion, was told that Tech Support does support CS. I know Adobe is trying to force me to spend hudnreds of dollars to upgrade, but if I am forced to buy new software, it won't be from Adobe.
Does anyone out there know of a solution to fix this? Thanks.Before uninstall/reinstalling any software always try to fix the preference file first. Reason is, if the file is corrupted, reinstalling the app will not fix it, as it assumes that you want to keep your prefered settings, hence preference file.
Most apps will recreate the file if it can not find it, but to be safe, moving the file to another location, will allow you to put it back if it does not recreate the file. -
Adobe Creative Suite 6 Production Premium install problems
I am trying to install CS6 Production Premium to a Mac Pro (late 2013) with OS X 10.10.2 and when I click "install" it goes to the "preparing to install" dialogue and then kicks me back to the install options screen. Any ideas?

My hard drive fried and had to be replaced. I'm trying to install CS4 from my original discs but keep getting this error message - "One or more of the required components of Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Standard failed to install correctly". A customer service rep gave me a link to download off the Adobe site, but when I try to open the file to run it, I get this error message - "A problem occurred extracting the archive".
Can anyone help?Yep. Nothing happens at all. Windows tries to execute the uninstaller, but I don't get any other screen and all activity stops for the MSI. I monitored it in Process Monitor and the MSI executable appears, but is quickly ended, like it couldn't find anything or something.
It's as if windows has a blank entry in Programs and Features, because it used to show the size of the Adobe application in the "Size" column. Now it's just blank. Link to screenshot below:

Note the install date. That's when I was able to successfully reinstall it. Now I can't even do that. I should also mention I tried Revo Uninstaller. It deleted one small registry key, but nothing changed.
By the way, is the CS cleaner supposed to ask for a disc in the drive when you run it? It refused to run unless I had one in it, so I used my install dvd. -
I bought a new iMac 27" yesterday, running with Mavericks OS. Attempting to download Adobe Creative Suite 5 Design Premium. Loaded software from discs. When I check for updates they fail to install. A window comes up saying "Some updates failed to install." Then under each applications it says "There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later." Have done this several times. Suggestions?

I have downloaded & installed adobe creative suit cs2 version 6 but when I click the icon of adobe photoshop in desktop it is not opened & giving message " this application has failed to start because " ausba4.dll " was not found. reinstalling of the application may fix the problem " I have reinstall & opened many times but even then it is not opened. Please guide me accordingly.
I'd try disabling the Twain_32.8BA plugin in
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS2\Plug-Ins\Import-Export
You can disable the plugin by putting an ~ (tilde) in front of the name or moving the plugin to your desktop.
Then try photoshop cs2 and see if you still get the error message.
I suspect the error has to do with your scanner driver, since photoshop cs2 does not have an ausba4.dll -

Updates failed on Adobe Creative Suite 5 Web Premium
Hello, I have a problem. My hard disk crashed so I had to replace it and reinstall my Adobe Creative Suite 5 Web Premium.
The installation was fine, I used of course the Serial Number on the box, but when I tried to launch the update I got the message “some updates failed to install" (although all did fail). Then it says "if you wish to install these updates please fix the problem below and retry". Below it says, under the name of each product "There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later". I did it several times, but got always the same message.
I contacted the customer support, I spent over half an hour chatting, and the result was that, as this is an old product, they cannot help me and told me to post this issue on the forum.
I don’t really understand what is the Adobe customer service for, if they are unable to give help!update manually, http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/

Check Your Windows Event Viewer and tell us the "fault module" plus provide detailed specs for your computer. Runtime errors usualyl mean that A DLL is missing, a security tool is blocking critical functions or that the processor is not compatible in teh first place. Just as well this could be a driver issue with your SATA bus or whatever.

I installed a new SSD drive in my computer and now Adobe Creative Suite Web Premium says I don't have a license. I have license. It was very expensive. I am disabled now, and I need this software working. Adobe Acrobat has been a primary tool for accommodating memory problems after a brain injury. (A car ran me down while I was out getting exercise.) I installed the SSD because I needed my management of PDF files to run faster. I called tech support for help when the software first stopped working, but they needed me to give them a number from my original disks. Because of my disability, I've been having someone come in to clean, and the shelves where I kept my software packages were cleared. I've been hunting for them ever since, but I can't look for them myself for very long at a time. Today I finally found them, but now I can't seem to contact tech support. What happened? I don't want to delete my old files because I need the setup to remain unchanged, because I don't do well with changes. I think all I should need is to have someone located the license file on drive E: and move it to wherever it is needed on the SSD drive, but I don't know what to look for.
Tech support is not normally available on weekends. You should contact them as soon as the weekend passes and pick up where you left off with them.
