Adobe Flash plug-in crashes whenever I try to broadcast on tinychat.

I click on "Start Broadcasting" and choose my webcam, then I click "Webcam Only" and then "Finish" It hangs for a moment and then crashes with the message "Adobe flash plugin has crashed reload this page to try again. (I've also tried to do mic and webcam rather than "webcam only" and it still crashes. For the record I am using Windows Vista (32-bit).
I've done all of these things:
-Used the official Adobe uninstaller to uninstall flash player
-Reinstalled with the latest version
-Updated to the latest version of Firefox
-Ran a registry cleaner (RegCure, I ran it four times to be sure) and fixed the errors that were found
-Ran Windows update and HP update to check for available updates
-Went to device manager and check for updates for video and sound drivers
-Restarted the computer
And yet it still crashes. Anyone have any other ideas?

You are currently using Adobe Flash 10.1 r85, the latest release is 10.1 r102
One method of installing the latest version is to use the manual installers, for details see http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/191/tn_19166.html#main_ManualInstaller

  • I'm getting the error "The Adobe Flash plugin has crashed" whenever I try and watch livestreams on Justin.tv, although any other content that requires flash works fine.

I've tried uninstalling flash and firefox separately and neither helped.

I cannot recall ever being this frustrated with my Mac and I have been faithfully using Mac for 20+ years!!
I am currently using a Macbook Pro 2.3 Ghz intel Core i7 4GB RAM Mac OSX 10.7.5
    Problems encountered:
Very slow browsers chrome, safari, firefox - have tried them all in hopes of finding one that works with no luck!!
Adobe Flash crash error codes all the time.  I receive update request links from all three browsers asking me to update adobe flash software which I have done repeatedly numerous times with absolutely no success, just a waste of time and lots of frustration.
Spinning rainbow sprocket is a common thing on my macbook, drives me insane!!
I found this thread and followed the instructions to go into "System Preferences, Flash Player, selecting the Advanced tab, and delete all browser data and settings."  I then updated my Adobe Flash in my System Preferences, not the typical browser update method.
So far, this method appears to be working - will keep my fingers crossed!!!

  • Adobe plash plug in crashes when I try to attach a picture from My Pictures

I am trying to attach a picture from My Pictures folder to an email. When I press attach files, it disappears quickly and I see the message that my "Adobe Flash Plug-in has crashed.
    What do I do?
    Al

Yes, as long as it is words, but when I want to do a picture it refuses. The pictures library is part of Window 7. The help program just said to be sure it was connected, power was on to it, unplug and replug, then restart my computer. I did all that. I prints photos that are in other programs. When I first started with 7 I didn't understand how it worked and some pictures were posted in documents. Those pictures print. Windows 7 seems to put the pictures where ever it wants them. I have Picasso on my computer and it doesn't pick up any of the pictures in the pictures library. So I still can't get Firefox to print pictures.
    Thanks for the reply. Iva

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

There have been issues reported with the 13.0.0.182 version of the Flash plugin crashing on some older Mac computers due to the compiler generating incompatible code.
The way to recover is to uninstall the Flash 13 version and revert to an older Flash version and wait for Adobe to release an update that addresses this issue.
    * http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-mac-os.html
You can either install the latest Flash 11.7 version that has the latest security updates (may not work with Safari) or the last Flash 12 version that didn't get the security updates Flash 13 has.

  • Adobe Flash Plug-in CRASHES EVERY TIME!

I've updated it, removed/re-installed and nothing helps. Have submitted reports both to Mozilla and Adobe. There is obviously a major new patch/fix required.
    Any advice? Thanks

Thank you for submitting crash reports. To share yours with forum volunteers, we need you to post some of the crash IDs. Please check the support article "[[Firefox Crashes]]" (especially the last section) for steps to get those crash IDs, and then post some of the recent ones here.
This is some standard guidance that addresses the most common issues with the Flash Player plugin. I'm sure you've seen some of it before, but just in case:
    (1) If you have any recorders/downloaders that interact with Flash media make sure they are as up-to-date as possible, or disable them temporarily.
    (2) Disable hardware graphics acceleration in Firefox and in Flash
    (A) In Firefox, un-check the box here and restart:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > General > "Use hardware acceleration when available"
    (B) In Flash, see this support article from Adobe: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues
    (3) Disable protected mode feature
This involves creating or editing a settings file. The following pages/posts provide different ways to do that:
    * Adobe support article under the heading "Last Resort": [http://forums.adobe.com/message/4468493#TemporaryWorkaround Adobe Forums: How do I troubleshoot Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?]

Flash needs to completely unload from memory (exiting and starting Firefox up again might help) before this takes effect.

I can't get the plug in to work even after I upgrade flash player .

  • Adobe Flash plug-in crash at 18:11GMT (London) 14 May 2011: can't send crash report

For some reason, clicking on 'send crash report' did nothing, so I'm reporting it here - probably not the most appropriate place, so for future reference is there an alternative method of sending a crash report please?

Having said that, I've just managed to send the report - presumably the report sending mechanism was going slow.

You can try basic steps like these in case of issues with web pages:
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
    *Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
    *Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
    *Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
