Adobe Flash will not install. (Shows errors.)

I tried to install the Trial version to at least know what I'm buying, but it stopped and showed all of these errors.
OS: Windows XP Service Pack 2
It's also a 32 bit system. Is that why I can't install it?

Hi, I'm not sure what you are trying to Install. Adobe Flash Player, the browser plugin? Or the CS5? If the former, then you are on the correct Forum. If the latter, you may want to start a thread on one of the other Forums from here and use the "Select Forum" drop down arrow.
http://forums.adobe.com/index.jspa
However, it appears that your system is a 32bit and this WARNING #5 on your list shows that what you are trying to Install is for a 64bit OS. You may need to make sure you are using the correct version.
See if that is what the problem is.
Thanks,

  • Adobe Flash will not install on Windows 7 x64

    Hello,
I find myself in a bit of a pickle, which I have neither definitive answer nor logic to why this is happening. Whenever I install Adobe Flash I get an error message in a popup window as described below.
    Host
    Unable to load application configuration
First of all I thought…? This can happen if the processor clock is out on the motherboard. I rebooted and checked the time and date stamp in the BIOS and it’s correct. Everything else works fine; it’s just Adobe Flash that is causing the problem. I am running Windows 7 x64 and selected Windows 7 x64 when I installed Flash. Shockwave, Air and all other Adobe applications were fine… it’s just Adobe Flash that is causing the problem. Any Answers would be appreciated; I’m left scratching my head with dismay because I cannot for the life of me know what is causing this error message.
It’s the same for MSIE9 as well it will not install and comes up with the same error message.
    Thanks
    [RESOLVED]
I took a second look at the BIOS and didn’t spot this the first time I looked. The time was correct, but out by 20 seconds which was the reason why updates and installations were in disarray. I never would have thought 20 seconds would have made much of a difference. But it does and I corrected the time to the precise seconds to pinpoint accuracy, saved the BIOS and loaded the OS and tried again and it worked first time.
So the moral of this topic is, if you’re getting a message in a window which says the following…
    Host
    Unable to load application configuration
Check the clock on your BIOS first, if the seconds are out but the time is correct, this the likelihood of the problem is being caused by the BIOS clock.

What is the exact error you are getting?
Have you tried to run the offline installer from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html#Ins tall_in_a_firewall_proxy_server_environment ?
If that still causes you an error please post your Windows version & edition.
P.S. if your Windows user account has administrative permissions, then you don't need to go into the BIOS to correct your clock; you can do it from withing Windows, either manually, or using Atomic Clock Sync.

  • Download of firefox and adobe flash will not install file corrupt message

cannot install firefox or adobe flash get file corrupt message:
    cannot play videos

Try installing from the Offline Installer. It may be a temporary folder permissions error, so this may fix it. Here is a link to try to download from:

If that doesn't work, try this one: http://www.filehippo.com/download_flashplayer_firefox/

All of a sudden Youtube wouldn't work on my computer telling me I needed to have Adobe Flash installed. I tried to download Adobe Flash and install it only to get a message saying that a newer version was already on my computer. I uninstalled Adobe Flash and tried to download and install it again but I get a message that stated Adobe Flash couldn't be installed because a newer version is already installed. I have already re-started the computer severale times and tried to download and istall the program but I get the same message. When I go to YouTube it tells me I need to install Adobe Flash but when I try to it says a newer version is already installed. Where do I go for help with my problem?

First, download and run the Flash Uninstaller HERE to be sure any old remnants are cleaned.Restart your machine.
Open Internet Explorer. Download and install latest version of Adobe Flash Player for it from here.
From Adobe troubleshooting page HERE the message 'Failed to initialize' is attributed to some Anti-Virus software.

  • YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES - FLASH WILL NOT INSTALL UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES

Does anyone from Adobe support read this forum??? Adobe Flash will NOT install on a Mac. It hangs at either 95% or 97% depending on which download link is followed. IT WILL NOT FINISH THE INSTALL. I have uninstalled and tried SIX installs - back to back - and it stalls. IT WILL NOT COMPLETE THE INSTALL. You have been aware of this problem for months and have not fixed the installer. I BOUGHT A MAC, NOT ADOBE FLASH, but I am forced to use it. SO FIX IT!!!!!!

  • Adobe Air will not install. Prior to attempted reinstall, it would not update.

Adobe Air will not install / reinstall. Prior to attempt to reinstall, it would not update. The automatic "update now" button was greyed out, but the "update later" button was active.

Here is what my system administrator wrote:
    1. Right-Click on the installer, clicked 'Show Package
Contents' and attempted to install from the MasOS folder. This
provided an interesting error in the terminal window, however still
    did not install.
    2. From there, I opened 'Console' (found in Applications
--> Utilities) and dug through the install error logs. Pinned
the issue down to AIR trying to update / use files that were
    already in use.
    3. Restarted the computer under the primary admin account
(the account used to setup the computer) and installed successfully
    from there.

  • Flash will not install

I have been trying to install adobe flash. First instructions were to uninstall and previous versions. I did that and now Flash will not install. It says that gplay is interfering and can not down load. I dont even know what gplay is, were do I find it, what does it do, and how do I make it go away to get Flash.
I have been working on this for a month. I downloaded Chrome and that is working fine because it has Flash with it, but I deleted flash from my computer and AOL is my internet provider and I cant play videos and such from my mail.
    Help, I am so frustrated.
    Cindy

    Hi,
Which operating system is your computer running on?
If you are using Windows, got to the Task Manager and click on the Processes tab.
Then click on "Show Processes from all users".
In the list of processes, look for "gplay.exe". Select it and click on End Process.
Try downloading and installing Flash Player after that.

  • Adobe CS4 will not install on new macbook pro [was: pro]

Adobe CS4 will not install on new macbook pro. It is coming from my other macbook.

Install normally means running setup from the orginal discs or the downloadable trial version. If you are copying from a backup or another computer, that won't work.
Best advice is to download the CS4 trial, and have your serial number ready in order to convert the trial into a licensed version.
Get the trial here. Follow the instructions carefully or the download link won't work.

  • Voiceover kit will not install 1603 error win8

Voiceoverkit will not install. Error code 1603. Running Win8. iTunes 11.0.5.5

    Hello tzachman,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!
It sounds like you are getting an error message when trying to get the Voiceover kit to install.
I found an article that seems to address this error code specifically named iTunes: Specific update-and-restore error messages and advanced troubleshooting found here http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3694#error1603
    Error 1603
Follow the steps listed above for Error 1604. Also, discard the .ipsw file, open iTunes and attempt to download the update again. See the steps under Advanced Steps > Rename, move, or delete the iOS software file (.ipsw) below for file locations. If you do not want to remove the IPSW in the original user, try restoring in a new administrator user. If the issue remains, Eliminate third-party security software conflicts
Here is the troubleshooting from the 1604 section that it references:
This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode, put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for the error.
    When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while the device remains connected.
The device should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
    Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.
    Take care,
    Sterling
