We are using a adobe form to submit agreements for staff, some individuals are getting the "The Windows Cryptographic Service Provider reported an error: Key does not exist. Error Code 2148073485. Any help or guidance would be great. Thanks

Hi dfbarnet, May we know how is that form created. Is that created using Acrobat ?
Please explain in detail so that we can route your query in correct direction.

Adobe Interactive Forms and Digital Signature
Hi, I’ve a question if it works to digital sign interactive PDF documents created by an SAP BPM System? So is it possible just to sign the content, and not the interactive components like layout and buttons e.g.?
    Thanks for your help.

  • Transfer attachments and Digital Signatures, from a PDF, to Interactive Form

    Hi,
I am developing an an application in WebDynpro Java.
I have a requirement that a user A creates a new interactive form & fills some of the details, & then saves the form.
User B then fetches the form & fills the remaining details.
User A can add attachments & digitally sign the form(using digital signatures).
When user A  saves the form, the application saves it in the JDT. The application fetches the pdf from the JDT & shows it to the user B.
The problem is that, when the form is displayed to user B, i need to pass a variable(using context nodes) to the form, so that some of the properties(visibility,read-only,etc) of the UI elements(of the form) changes, depending on the variables' value.
For this purpose, i need to use the Form for user B in ""UpdateDataInPdf" mode.
But if i do this, then all the attachments, signatures saved in the pdf form(by user A), do not get transfered to the Interactive Form of User B!!
How do i overcome this problem??
    I am using NW7.0 SP13.; Designer7.1, xACF is installed.

    Hi everyone,
I solved this issue using the transferPDFDataIntoContext of the WDInteractiveFormHelper class.
The AIF mode must be set to usePdf.
I hope it will be useful.

  • Hello. I have adobe forms and received the alert that it will be ending in July. Then I received an email about Adobe Acrobat XI Pro which can create forms. I signed up for the free trial and when I began to make a new form it brings me back to Adobe Form

Hello. I have adobe forms and received the alert that it will be ending in July. Then I received an email about Adobe Acrobat XI Pro which can create forms. I signed up for the free trial and when I began to make a new form it brings me back to Adobe Forms. My question is, when Adobe Forms ends on July 28th will Adobe Acrobat XI Pro be able to create forms or will it now? and if not, then why is adobe advertising for it still?

What you're calling "Adobe Forms" is really Adobe FormsCentral. The FormsCentral service is indeed going away soon, but you can always create PDF forms (AcroForms) with Acrobat. Acrobat also comes with a desktop version of the FormsCentral desiger, which can be used to create simple PDF forms that can be used apart from the FormsCentral service. So you'll no longer be able to create and host web forms with the FormsCentral service or use PDF forms with the FormsCentral service. You will be able to create standalone PDF forms with Acrobat and simple PDF forms with the FormsCentral desktop app.

  • What is the relation between adobe forms and web dynpro

    hi
what is the relation between adobe forms and web dynpro

    Hi Jyothsna,
Adobe forms are advanced to smartforms and scripts.
Adobe forms are much easier than smartforms they are online forms.
    they can be developed online.
Adobe forms : This is another SAP tool designed to create your own forms. The transaction for this is SFP.
How to use them: You can create a sales order form in adobe form and send to the sales reps. Sales reps can fill this form when they are not connected to internet / SAP system. Once they connect to SAP just send an e-mail to a specific user id in outlook. You got to customize and code how do you want to process once you receive this form. This enables you to create orders even when you are not connected to the system. Hence no data loss. This is not how i used though :-). This is just my idea.
What is the difference between Adobe forms and smart forms / scripts.
Smart forms / scripts are used to show the data in SAP. Most likely you will use these to print / display some kind of reciepts / forms. Many companies must be using this for hard copies / ALE / EDI or to transfer data from SAP to others.
Adobe forms are used to post data into SAP from SAP too.  So this has an additional feature compared to smartforms.

Web dynpro in one of the component in NETWEAVER.
Web Dynpro is the SAP NetWeaver programming model for user interfaces and provides support when developing the Web representation of business applications. The Web Dynpro model is based on the Model View Controller paradigm, and has the following features that build on the classic dynpro model:
    ·        Clear separation of business logic and display logic
    ·        Uniform metamodel for all types of user interfaces
    ·        Execution on a number of client platforms.
    ·        Extensive platform independence of interfaces

  • Diff  bet Adobe forms and smart forms?

    Hi Friends
What is the diff between Adobe forms and Smart Forms
    Thanks & Regards
    Kanni

    Hello,
    Smartform:
To create and maintain forms for mass printing in SAP systems. Besides using the printer for standard output you can also select the Internet (by using a generated HTML output), a fax, or e-mail as the output medium. Smart Forms allows you to execute simple modifications to the form and in the form logic by using simple graphical tools

    Adobe Form:
Interactive forms in PDF format that allow users to fill out the form on the screen and save their entries in XML format in the form. When the SAP system receives the PDF form, it extracts the data saved in the form, and can process it further.

  • Adobe Forms and Synchornization

    Hi,
I wanted to find some documentation or guidance on Adobe Forms. We wanted to know how Adobe forms can be integrated with a netweaver backend. Specifically some information on how the following two scenarios are processed:
    1) User fills out an adobe form and clicks the SubmitoSAP button. What is the mechanism by which the data on the form is posted to a netweaver backend (ultimately to a table). Please provide a step by step approach as I am very new to adobe forms.
    2) User fills out an adobe form and clicks the SubmittoSAPbutton (in disconnected mode). Where is the data temporarily stored or staged till a connection is made. Does the user have to reopen the form and click on the button again when connected or will the form automatically synchornize with the NW backend once connection is established.
    Any help/documentation will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Mahwish

    Hi Mahwish,
    1. An Interactive Form in online mode is always relying on the underlying technology to send data to SAP (or non-SAP) systems.
Typically in an online scenario you can use Web Dynpro for ABAP or Java. In this case, the data transfer is handled by the application and the PDF form acts as a screen. You can check <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/developerareas/webdynpro?rid=/library/uuid/49f2ea90-0201-0010-ce8e-de18b94aee2d#pdf">the following tutorials on SDN</a>.
    2. The logic you mention cannot be written in the form. The interactive form must be seen as a screen (in online mode) and as a data container (in offline mode).
Another possibilities are offline usage with mail sending to an SAP backend, upload of the filled PDF in an application connected to the backend.
A lot of documentation can be found here:

  • Adobe Reader 9, Form Fields, Digital Signature

I have already posted this in Adobe Reader forum and had no replies... probably the wrong area...
We are a software company and we are developing a simple application, as follows:
Any number of pdf documents are provided by a third party (our customer / customers). Each form contains any number of fields and a digital signature field.
Our application must fill the fields with values obtained by a back-end database
Using Adobe Reader 9, our application must display each pdf document filled in step 2, for users to sign using a Topaz tablet.
The "blank", original pdf document can be easily completed by hand and signed using the Topaz tablet - thanks to the Adobe Reader plug-in.
Also, we can quite easily fill all the doument's fields using the popular iTextSharp libraries - we extract relevant data from our back-end database, we set the field values, and we display the document in Adobe Reader 9 (note that after filling the form, we have experimented with "flattened" and "non-flattened" documents....with the same results)...
Here we start having some problems:
As soon as the "filled" document is displayed in Adobe Reader, the message "This document enables Reader capabilities that are no longer enabled in this Reader version." is displayed. And the signature field is disabled and the Topaz plug-in is never invoked.
It seems that the simple task of programmatically filling the form with data.... disable the most important feature of the form (the signature line).
Unfortunately, my knowledge of the Adobe product line is somewhat limited....
After hours of research I think I understand why (even though I find the behavior incredibly strange and restrictive). I still would like, if possible, summary and clear information on what we (and/or the provider of the pdf forms) need to do to accomplish the goal of our application.
Thanks in advance for any suggestion.
    Giorgio

    jmo here
In context of your description, use of Acrobat Pro to "enable" PDFs for use by Adobe Reader appears to be contrary to the Acrobat EULA (if nothing else, the "500" limit for forms).
If that's the case then I suspect your only option would be LiveCycle ES.
Back down the Forum's timeline, someone mention $50K for a seat.
But LC ES has many variations (modules if you will) so the price point may be higher.
Basically, it is expensive (although worth the $$ to the IRS and other large entities).
Worth noting are the posts in this forum that allude to Adobe's legal actions taken against those who have, it seems, violated the Acrobat EULA.
If your client(s) are associated with a corporate entity they may be exposed to legal "road hazards"; but, that's speculative, eh?
Regardless, it does sort of appear that you may be on thin ice vis-a-vis "enable" of PDFs for use by Adobe Reader.
    Be well...

  • Adobe Digital Signature Issue

Need help. One of our users opens a PDF document in Adobe Reader, signs it with his digital signature, saves it and wants to send it in an emial. When people receive the email his signature is missing. This is something he used to be able to do. Any ideas?

  • Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro and digital signature

cannot use and register my digital signature in Adobe Acrobat 8 for Mac. I managed to use it under Windows, by the way.
The Siemens HiPath SIM card uses OpenSC SCA http://www.opensc-project.org/sca
It's on USB token, using built-in Mac OS X driver.
I works fine in Keychain, Mail, Firefox, but not in Safari and Adobe Acrobat.
In Acrobat -> Sign -> Place Signature -> Browse for newly inserted hardware tokens
and then nothing happens, cannot find the inserted token, although Keychain finds it.
Acrobat -> Security Settings -> Add Digital IDs -> Browse for newly inserted hardware tokens
    and then nothing happens
Acrobat -> Security Settings -> Add Digital IDs -> PKCS#11 Modules and Tokens -> Attach Module -> Locate a PKCS#11 Module
    I put the line
    /Library/OpenSC/lib/opensc-pkcs11.so
which is the installed OpenSC SCA PKCS#11 Module and a massage appears:
    Cannot load PKCS#11 Module
Is it possible to use digital signature in Acrobat at all?

  • Security Issues: SSL on SOAP Adapter and Digital Signature in BPM

    Hi there,
we're developing a R/3-XI-3rd Party Application scenario, where the XI/3rd Party communication is based on a webservice (SOAP adapter with SSL). Also, the messages in the XI/3rd Party communication must be digitally signed. I've got some questions on both subjects.
    1. About the SSL. I've started to investigate what will be necessary to enable the HTTPS option under SOAP Adapter (it's not enabled now). If I'm not correct, all I need to do is:
    - check whether the SAP Java Crypto Lib is installed in the Web AS;
    - generate the certificate request in the Visual Administrator and, after acquiring the certificate, store it with the KeyStorage option.
    Is that right?
I'm considering that I won't need to use SSL in the ABAP Web AS, only the J2EE Java Engine (since the SOAP Adapter is based on J2EE).
    2. About the digital signature. As a first solution, we had decided on accessing a webservice based on another machine running a signature application. We'd send the unsigned XML and receive a signed XML. But since that needed to be done into the BPM, I thought that using a piece of Java code in a mapping would suit it better.
But to be able to use the hashing/encrypting/encoding algorithms, which library needs to be installed? Is it the same SAP Java Crypto Lib that was installed for the SSL enabling?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hello Henrique,
    1. You're right. For detailed instructions please have a look at the online help: http://help.sap.com/nw04 - Security - Network and Transport Layer Security - Transport Layer Security on the SAP J2EE Engine
    2. The SOAP adapter supports security profiles. Please have a look at the online docu http://help.sap.com/nw04 -Process Integration - SAP Exchange Infrastructure - Runtime - Connectivty - Adapters - SOPA Adapter - Configuring the Sender SOAP adapter and from the link under Security Parameters to the Sender Agreement. • PDF Fill-in forms with Digital Signatures - LDAP, Roaming ID's

Hello, my organization is trying to be more "Green" by taking regular PDF documents that use to be printed, filled in by hand, signed and then routed... To a PDF fill-in form that contains a Digital Signature Block. I can easily and successfully create PDF fill-in forms, where Im running into an issue is with the Digital Signatures.
I can easily create a Digital Signature that is stored on my local computer and sign documents then forward them via email on to the recipient. However, what we would like and have been failing and making happen is to set up a signing server where the signer can fill out the PDF form and then sign the document by pulling their digital signature from a Directory Server, in our case LDAP or Active Directory.
From the information that I have found on the web I know this can be done without use of expensive third party applications. However, I have not found information on how to do this other then this simple 3 line instruction which did not work for us. - http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Acrobat/8.0w/Professional/help.html?content=WS58a04a822e3e501 02bd615109794195ff-7d96.html
Any help on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reference to the digsig user guide. I've reviewed this documentation and the majority of it I had already tried however one TIP that is in this document that I hadn't seen before points to setting up a FDF file to import AD secure to easily import the ID's
More specifically, I have configured LDAP and the Security settings in Adobe Pro and when attempting to connect to our LDAP server is when I run into the issue. I am not able to connect. Is there any additional information that you know of that can shed some light on LDAP configuration with Adobe PDF forms for digital id's?
