Adobe Form Section is Not Showing When Value is Selected from Dropdown List

Hello Experts
We have this issue where an ADOBE FORM is embedded in a WEBDYNPRO APPLICATION.
When selecting a value from the dropdown field in the ADOBE FORM, some particular section in the ADOBE FORM is not shown.
Here's the ADS and NW versions that we were using. We are running on EHP5 landscape.
- ADS - 7.3 SPS 3
- NW 7.3 SPS 3
PS. The same program is working in EHP4 correctly.
Any idea on how to resolve this issue?

This is a custom built form, the thing is we just upgraded our system to EHP5 and we are in the test phase. The same form works in system in EHP4.
Based on the dropdown list selection, there are some sections in the form which are hidden previously will be shown now. when you change the country in the dropdown the new sections appear. The sections will not be visible before you select the couuntry from dropdown.
Should I upgrade my Adobe live cycle designer version to a higher one?

Adobe Form in ABAP not showing texts

Hello all,
I have created an Adobe form to output a specific form with data from some import fields and from an internal table.
During the layout of the form I put some of these import fields, which are character fields of various lengths on the form. I also fill the caption details but when testing the form only the values passed are shown and the caption is missing.
Also with the headings of my table, they're not shown.
To get passed the initial problem I used a text with a floating field to show the data values. But I can't get why I can't see my table headers, does anyone have any suggestions?
Each cell is of type text and to get text in there, I right clicked the cell and chose edit text...

I can only see the text at design time. In print preview it's just blank or when I print it. I really don't know what else to do with it. The values do come through from the parameters and data passed through because the table displays correctly as well as the floating text variables. Any ideas?

Adobe form script changes not reflected when PDF created by ADS.

Hello Experts,
We have done some modifications (UI elements java script) in PDF form in the Development system and tested... everything fine and as expected everything working.
When we move the same changes to Quality system, the expected functionality is not working. For error analysis we followed below things.
--1. I have checked the PDF form in SFP TCode is newly added script code is available or not.... Is available in Quality system.
--2. I have run the application In SAP Portal, where we show this adobe form and saved locally generated PDF form by application. Then we imported same saved PDF form into ALD and checked... is newly written java script is available or not....strange is not available...... but in ECC under SFP TCode i am able to see the newly written script code.
--3. o.k. we feel that some issue with ADS server so avoid that we restarted the server even though same.... the newly written script PDF form is not picked by ADS server while generating the PDF in the portal application.
Can some one throw some torch on this issue?

Why are forms or passwords not filled, when I imported them from Safari?

I've used the Import function to import "saved form history" from Safari, twice already, both times it says it completed the task, yet whenever I go to a site requiring passwords or forms filled out, nothing happens, & I must manually fill everything out! Why is this not working?

The form history will not include passwords. Firefox can not access the passwords from Safari so can not import them.

Adobe MUSE. Logo not showing when full screen slide show is above header...

In Adobe Muse.
When I set the homepage slide show to 100% width and bring it full bleed to the top of the page, the logo gets covered up. Everything else shows, the tabs and fly outs, but the logo disappears. The only difference is the logo is a GIF file. Anyone know what I am doing wrong?
The GIF is set to be the top object and is pinned to the top left corner.
Any help is appreciated.

Kindly add a new layer (via the layers panel), move the logo to this new layer; and ensure that this layer is on top of the rest.

User exit variable I_STEP=1 does not show default value WebI selection scr

Hello,
We have a BW query with a user exit variable. We have written user exit code under I_STEP = 1 so that the default value for the field is displayed on the selection screen to the user. Works very well on the BW side.
We based a universe on top of the query and then created a WebI report.
When the WebI report is executed the default value is NOT seen on the selection screen,
Note:
1. If the user exit variable is optional and we execute the report, the default value is NOT seen on the selection screen. However if the report is executed without entering any value for the field the logic under I_STEP = 1 is picked up and the report gets the correct output
1. If the user exit variable is mandatoryand we execute the report, the default value is NOT seen on the selection screen. The user now has to enter the value for the field.
The scheduled reports will work in case of optional user exit variable.
However this amounts to loss of functionality.
Is this a known bug?
Is there a way to display default values based on user exit variables on the WebI selection screen?
Kindly advice. Btw we are on XI 3.1 SP3

OSS Note 1285993 - "Support of Customer Exit Variables from BEx query into WebIntelligence via OLAP universe" deals with this issue and has deemed it out of scope for XI 3.1 SP3.

Transaction details is not showing when page is opened from alert mail

Dear all,
Hope you are well enough.
I am facing a problem that i have a search page and after searching i am opening the details page.
There are many region for different type of data and all are showing accurately.
But the problem is that i am also opening this DetailsPG.xml from workflow mail where a link is give of that particular transaction.
When the page is opened then all sections are showing the data correctly except one region.
But i have done the following task in ProcessRequest() method
1.Get the transaction id.
2.Execute the view for that particular transaction.
3.Correctly mapped the attributes.
Is there any checking needed that from which responsibility the page is opening?

You need to have a JFrame to add your components to.
For example, make your class extend JFrame and set your main panel the ContentPane (assuming that all your components have been added to this panel).

Adobe Media Player does not show day 5

On my computer, the Adobe Media Player does not show day 5. Shows days 1 through 4.
Also on Day 4, trying to view the video "Create States and How to bind them"
I get a "corrupt file" error when trying to watch using the Adobe Media Player...
Also will someone please give a clear statement how to do a download of the files so
we can watch them off line. This still isn't clear to me.
I don't know what Craig is talking about below: How does that relate to downloading the
files.

SelectOneChoice not showing all values from database

Hi!
I have to put a list of values in my select one choice. When I do the query in database, all the values are selected. But, with the same query on JPQL, the select on choice do not show all values in database. Anyone can help me, please?
P.S.: I am using SelectOneChoice with SelectItems, in JDeveloper 11g

In your page binding check the rangesize setting for the executable you use - set it to -1.

Excise and ***. Valsue doen not show when Creating a Sales Order

Hi SAP Gurus,
I am creating a Return Sales order through VA01 with reference of Billing Document which was earlier giving error of 'Copying from sales document type ZSFG to ZREV is not supported' that was resolved by going through the available threads support. I have done it through VTAF.
Now system copying the records and showing the material and qty but when we doube click an item and then go in Condition tab it is not showing Assesable Value, Excise amount and CST where as it was showing Freight Amount.
Please advise what wrong we are doing.

Check the pricing analysis in condtions tab what it says ?
If only taxes are not copied then check the UTXJ Condition records , if it exits then go to VK12 check the validity periods of the same.

The sequence does not show when exporting media from premiere

i have the following setting for my sequence-
editing mode- main concept bluray
time base-25.00
preview file format -mpeg bd 1080 50i vbr 34 mbps
width 1920
height- 1080
maximum render quality
issue is when i export media the adobe media encoder does not show the sequence
and when i export in some other format- it only shows h.264 option and not h.264 bluray. as a consequence cannot write any bluray since all the option are progressive
do i need to reinstall something/anything
issue with mainconcept?
is there a tab where one can add presets in media encoder?

If you installed AME through the Creative Cloud, then this is a known issue which was fixed in an update released just a couple of days ago. To get this update, select Updates in the Help menu.
If you're not on Creative Cloud, then please specify which product or suite you installed that included AME, and also indicate whether it's activated or running in trial mode.

ME23n , Does not shows the values correctly in print preview

When viewing a PO using ME23n , it does not shows the values correctly in the print preview.
For example;
This is the vendor & its address. (check attached image img1.jpg)

Number-122/A
PO BOX 41,112,REID AVENUE
COLOMBO-04
When displaying the print preview, it shows only some parts of the above address

These values are getting from a table called LFA1. I have checked that table & in that table all the values exists correctly.
I have noted issue is with, having only a single word. (If address or name having only a single word, that is without spaces, it will not going to show in the print preview) -
In the above example, it is not showing Number-122/A and COLOMBO-04 (Its a single word. No spaces there)
If its like --> Number - 122/A & COLOMBO - 04 , then it will display in the print preview correctly (where there are spaces after - mark)

If its having more than one word, then it will display correctly in the print preview. As below;

If its 2 or more words, it shows correctly.

It turns out that this problem went away after the program crashed. Everything seems to be working well now.

Adobe form - Text field not getting saved.

Hi All,
We created an application in which user will enter the data and submit it . The details entered in the screen will be saved in the Ztable.
Our problem is when the user enters the data in the TextField UI of the adobe form it is not getting saved in the table. In development its working fine.
In production for few users it is getting saved and for few users it is not getting saved.
We are not able to find out the root cause of the problem.
Any help will be appreciated

Filters not showing up values

Hi Gurus,
I am working on some reports in WAD.
I have characteristic "Region" which has 4 values like EAST,WEST,SOUTH,NORTH. This is a User Entry so I created a variable for this and it shows the values with check boxes beside it when you click on the variable entry screen input help. Once I execute the query the result is displayed. When I click on the Filter ICON on the Navigation Block for REGION it is not showing the Values for this region but just shows only 4 check boxes.
This Characteristic doesnot have master data. It is displaying the KEY values.
For the characteristics which Master Data it is showing the values both in Varaible selection screen and also in Filter Selections.
Please update me with a solution.

have you tried replacing it with the file essbase.bak_startup file, instead of the older essbase.sec file?
If you check your app folders you will still be able to see the cubes you had created its just that Essbase can't pull those up with the older .sec file.
The essbase.bak_startup file is always updated everytime the Essbase server is started up.
Be sure to take a backup of the file before starting up the server again.
The reason your essbase.sec and essbase.bak files are both corrupt is because when you first discovered that the essbase.sec file is corrupt it was when you started the server up.
What you need to keep in mind if the machine which holds the essbase server shuts down abruptly or crashes (which usually leads to the situation you are in) is to never start up the Essbase server right away, as you may have a corrupt essbase.sec file, and if you start up the server without taking a backup of the essbase.bak file you may risk corrupting the essbase.bak file as well.
This is because at start up the essbase.bak file gets replaced with the essbase.sec file.
