Adobe Forms:"No layout exists in original language"

Hi All,
when I try to activate the adobe form after designing the form in layout, getting an error "No layout exists in original language EN", so please help out to resolve this issue.

Hi,
I have copied a standard form into Z form (all languages).
But now i want only original language, other languages of the form is not required.
So please suggest how to delete those forms.

Hi,
Goto se71 and give the form name then goto utilities and copy from client.Then in that screen give the form name and there you find check box to copy only into original language.so that you can copy only into original language.
Other wise if you already copied you have to delete each and evry form separatly.Better try to copy from client 000,so that it will override the existing form.

Updating PCR Adobe Forms to Layout Type ZCI

I came across OSS Note: 956074 and am trying to determine if the PCR Adobe Forms we are using need to be update to layout type ZCI.
When I execute the program in SA38: FP_CHK_REPORT and provide ISR_FORM_SPSE as the form I am getting a logon box to AdobeDocumentServices/Config. I provide the ADSUser ID and Password that has been created. After attempting to logon three times, I received the following error message.
ADS: SOAP Framework error: SOAP Runtime Exception: CSoa(ADS)
Does anyone have suggestions for troubleshooting this error message?

No the password for ADSUser has not expired and the setting is checked so that it won't expire and does not have to be changed.
I do realize that all the forms need to be updated. When I try to manually change the layout type to ZCI for each form through SFP I am not able to reactivate the forms. Adobe Form translation in to different languages

Can you please guide me through the procedure/process of "how to translate Adobe forms in to a different languages".

There are two methods to translate any Adobe form.
First method :
login to the target language
Go to SFP --> enter the form name
Click on Change
Click on Goto -> translation
Original language will be autopopulated. Enter the target language in which you want the texts to be translated into., eg FR (French) and enter
You will see the tree for translation objects. Expand the package name and then PDFB. Under PDFB you will find your form name --> Double Click.
A translation editor will open up.
Navigate to Object Menu --> Copy Source text.
The entire XML for the form will be copied in the target language window with all static text literals highlighted in blue.
Replace the english text (blue text) with the French text ( target language text) and save.
Thats all. The form will be now translated, run the application and provide the target language in the URLis the target language.. sap-language=FR
Also there is Second method.:
1)You have to create the form in target language and attach in webdynpro layout as your original language
2)In the context of the view define two new attributes (VISIBILE and VISIBILE_FR ) with type as "WDUI_VISIBILITY"
3 )Now in webdynpro layout attach this form same as your English form and bind the visible property of interactive forms( both EN and FR form) with the VISIBILE and VISIBILE_FR attributes respectively.
4) Now through any initial method you can set the value of VISIBILE =u2019 02 u2018and VISIBILE_FR =u2019 01u2019 for English form to visible and vice versa for Fr form
Choose the convenient option .

Custom Adobe Form as Offline layout in PMS

We are implementing PMS in EHP5.I have created customozed interactive adobe form.How can i use this adobe form as layout in R/3 for appraisal purpose?
I could find option Offline layout.But how i should proceed?

            Define your Enhancement
            Example:
            ZPRINT     XXX print form
            PMP                          PMP PDF
            SMARTFORM     Print Appraisal Documents: Old (with Smart Forms)
            STANDARD     Standard
Step 2: Go Tcode: PHAP_CATALOG
            On your Template under Layout Tab
            Further - Print Layout -> Plug in your Custom Print Form

Go to the "DE" version of your "Z" form. Click utitlies, convert original language.

Offline Adobe Form Issue

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement to add few fields in my offline adobe form (ZCI Layout) which is getting called from webdynpro abap (via UI element "FileDownload").
The new fields has been added in the context node of WebDynpro and the population logic is all written in the appropriate method. Now the same needs to be added in the Adobe form as well.
So can you please help me with how to update the XML interface for the Adobe form.
I have already refreshed DataView but its not working.

Please specify when the error occurs. According to my experience, the problem can be that the transformation (XML data --> ABAP variable) has found some unexpected character. If my guess is right you need to debug this trasnformation and remove the unwanted character before the transformation starts.

They forgot Adobe Forms ??

after many tries, I´ve finally installed the SAP Netweaver 2004s (SP12) in my computer. Now that I try to practice with Adobe Forms, the layout is not working and I get an error message. Reading in this and other forums, it seems like I have to download from http://service.sap.com/swdc the tool Adobe Designer 7. Has anyone done this ??
In previous versions of SAP Netweaver 2004s, this and many other components (BW, Knowledge Management, Add-Ons, etc.) were available during the installation process and now they are gone. Does anyone where I can get that ??

Yes, you need to download and install the Adobe Life Cyle Designer. You may also need a j2ee engine for the Adobe Document Services as well.

Printing HINDI Language is possible in Offline Interactive Adobe forms

Hi All,
Actually I am working on Offline Interactive Adobe forms.So my requirement is print the offline adobe forms in HINDI language.
That form will goes to the user through email with some HINDI text, headings and fields names. After that user can edit and enter some HINDI text in the PDF form.
My question is it is possible to design the layout in HINDI language , If possible what are the things installed in Server side.
After pdf goes to the user how the user will enter the data in HINDI language using keyboard.

Print adobe form in local language (Hindi)
Make sure the two things available:
1. Embed fonts option enabled.
This option is available in Designer->File->Form Properties->Save Options panel
Important: This will work only for PDF files (not for XDP)
2. Adobe Reader Extended Languages support font pack installed on the target machine the Hindi font is not installed.

Interactive Forms based on Adobe software is SAP's new solution for forms development. Its first release has the focus on interactive use of forms. High-volume printing is supported in principle, but - being a new solution - the performance has not yet reached the same level as Smart Forms or SAPscript, two established solutions that had years to grow. Interactive Forms is the only solution that will continue to be enhanced with new features, while SAPscript and Smart Forms will be supported without limitations.
When (or if) to move to Interactive Forms depends on your requirements. For interactive forms usage, i.e. the new functions, you have no choice, as the existing solutions don't support it. To get an overview idea about Adobe forms ,
Using SFP Tcode , first you need to create a interface . in interface you can declare the import and export parameters and also the declaration part, coding etc : This is nothing but similar to Function module interface.
And now we have to create the Form which is interactive. Create the form and enter the interface name which you have created in first step, so that the parameters , declarations of fields etc : will be copied and available in the form layout. So that you can drag and drop these declared fields ( dclared fields of interface ) to the layout.
Create the context and layout in the form.
The layout generated can be previewed and saved as PDF output.
Now we need to integrate the driver program and the PDF form to get the final output as per the requirement.
On activating and executing the form you will get a function module name just similar to smartforms.
The driver program needs to call this FM.

Error in layout section of adobe forms

Hi All,
I am getting the following error while i try to open the layout section in adobe forms.
"Error while opening document".
I reinstalled the adobe livecycle designer and also installed the new version of adobe i.e. adobe 9/9.1 and restarted my system but still the problem exists.
Can anybody help me out solve the problem at the earliest.

Hi Somya,
My problem gets resolved. What I done is simply restart the computer!! The Form Template task was hanged (even in task manager it was showing running). Once it gets killed, my layout editor is running again.
If still your problem persist, you set the priority of u2018FormDE~1.exeu2019 to highest. Close all other applications on your PC while trying to start Layout editor.
What I understood is, layout editor required lot of memory and hence we can try this above options!!

Interactive Adobe Form's Language Translation

Hi all,
we activated the MSS 60.1 version on the SAP NetWeaver 2004 Enterprise Portal.
We need to activate a link on EP that refers to PCR application. From this link we want to call all the Interactive Adobe Forms associated to the ISR standard scenarios.
Our problem is this: all the standard Adobe Forms are generated in german language. How can we generate them in italian language?

Adobe form translation into other language

Hello Experts,
i have a requirement of printing of adobe form in multiple languages i.e english and french or english and chinese depending on the selection. i have developed my form in 'English'. Now, how to translate the form in other language? Whats the process of doing that..

Did you use transaction SFP to develp your form in English? If so, go to that transaction and enter your form name and select change. From there, you can select from the menu GOTO --> TRANSLATION. You will be prompted for the lanugage to translate from (Original) and the Target. From here, you will need to select 'Forms and Styles' and double-click the PDFA line. Now you will see you boxes, one with the English (on top) and the bottom half you can begin your translations to the other language.
Just a note, it is best to perfrom this action while logged in under the language you want to translate to. We found issues with special scharacters being saved incorrectly.
