Adobe photoshop album 2.0: sending photos to a folder

I previously used adobe photo deluxe but lost it due to virus. The disc is no longer available to reinstall so I am trying out photoshop album 2.0 to replace. I have windows me.
I normally ftp photos from a folder to my remote site for Ebay.
My question is does this program allow me to save file size photos in a folder so they may be ftp'd.
Thanks,
Irving

I was having the same problem on three computers. I have Adobe PhotoDeluxe Business Edition 1.0 which I love. I have used it for years with Windows 98 and recently on a newer laptop running XP. I bought another desktop with XP Professional and upgraded the old one running 98 to XP-Home Edition. For a short while all seemed to work okay. Then suddenly when I tried to save a photo as a J-Peg file, it would sit for 2-3 minutes with the dreaded hourglass cursor. Finally, the message would come up that the photo browser may not be installed correctly. I too re-installed with no luck several times.
Then I discovered that my problem seemed to be the desktop shortcut! When I tried to open the properties for the shortcut, a box came up saying the the path was not correct/ file could not be found, even though normal clicking on the shortcut would start up the Photo Deluxe program. I deleted the shortcut on the desktop and found another application file for Photo Deluxe in a different location that works perfectly. I don't know what the techno-geek explanation is, but it seems that in Windows XP, the pathway for the desk-top shortcut, which is created during installation, is wrong and does not point to the correct target application file location, so the program does not open properly.
Try this: It worked on all 3 of my XP computers!
Click/Open - WINDOWS EXPLORER,
Click/Open - MY COMPUTER,
Click/Open - YOUR HARD-DRIVE DISK (On my PC it is "C",)
Click/Open - PROGRAM FILES,
Click/Open - PhotoDeluxe BE1.0 (*OR Your Edition,)
On the right side panel, look for the application file. It is best to view details, to see which file says APPLICATION. In PhotoDeluxe BE 1.0, it is a file titled PBE.
Right/Click on this application file to open the menu box.
Select/Click - SEND TO -&- DESKTOP (create shortcut.)
This will create a desktop icon/shortcut with the correct pathway to the program in Windows-XP. When you click this shortcut to open PhotoDeluxe, the program should work correctly and the gallery, hold photo and save to J-Peg file commands should function as normal.
HOPE THIS HELPS! I was going crazy trying to get it working. I use it to edit photos for eBay listings and was desperate to solve the problem. It was taking hours to prepare and save my photos with the long delay trying to save an edited photo to a folder for upload!
All three of my PC's have PhotoDeluxe working perfect once again!!!

  • Thansfer adobe photoshop album starter 3.2 photos to element 8.0

I've had adobe photoshop album starter 3.2 since I've had my computer.  All my family photos are stored there.  This morning after uploading photos the program kept closing.  I clicked on the register and an email was sent to me telling me that as of July 2009 I can no longer get a unlock pin to open the program.  I've been using the program with no problems until this morning.  I called adobe and was told I need to upgrade to elements 8.0.  I asked if I purchase the upgrade will my photos load to the new version? I was told yes.  I ordered the disk and in the meantime downloaded the trial version until the new program disk arrives.  Once loaded, the photos didn't load, nor was I able to manually load the photos from 3.2 to 8.0.  I called adobe again and was instructed to now send this message to you.
Please help me to either "unlock" or instruct me how to obtain the photos from 3.2.  I was very happy with the original version and have hundreds of family photos which I now fear I may loose.  I'm frantic right now and need a solution.  My photos mean the world to me and my family.
    Thank you.

I need to transfer photos from one computer to another and have been searching in vain exactly where the tag information is stored.  I have used Album starter for at least 5 years and currently have 3.0 on my old PC.  I have downloaded and installed 3.2 on the new PC and was planning on updating to Elements once I get the photos (and tags) migrated.
    <snip>
If you use Photoshop Album to subsequently download files from a digital  camera or scanner, the default location where the program will create those  files would be in the My Pictures>Digital Camera Photos folder. </snip>
I have searched all of the Adobe directories and the only files present are the actual photos.  What type of files should I be looking for.
    Thanks,
    Dave

I have starter 3.0 and cannot share pictures via outlook express. Evidently that version is discontinued and my outlook express does not support the MAPI that is required. I think the only solution is to upgrade to photoshop
elements or to send photos as attachment to your e-mail.  I have the same problem using Zoom Browser EX sending photos via internet. I spent a whole day trying to resove this issue and have exhausted all options. Just like "Instant share" in HP image Zone that was replace by photoshop album starter 3.0 and now it is out dated.

  • Please send a code so I can open my adobe photoshop album starter edition 3.2 and transfer my photoes into an up to date program

I am having trouble trying to get a code to register my adobe photoshop album starter edition 3.2. I have made many requests and nothing happens.   My photos are locked in that programm and can't be used at all.  If I had a code to open I coulod transfer them to an up to date program.

Where are the photos that I imported into Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition?
Your photos are safe, and are present in the folder on your computer that you specified when importing them. If you used Photoshop Album Starter Edition to import your files from the camera without changing the default folder, look in this folder:
    Windows® XP: C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\My Documents\My Pictures\Adobe\Digital Camera Photos
    Windows Vista®/7: C:\Users\[User Name]\Pictures\Adobe\Digital Camera Photos
If you changed the folder, here are the search instructions:

  • Move photos from old PC running Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0 starter edition, to new PC running Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.

    Hello,
My old PC (Windows XP) has 8500+ photos with loads of tags attached using Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0 starter edition.
I'm trying to move all photos, and tags, to my new PC (Windows 7) . I have installed Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 on my new PC.
All photos have been copied from the hard disk on the old PC to the hard disk on the new PC.
But how do I move the database/tag information between the old and new PC / between' Photoshop Album 2.0 starter edition' and 'Photoshop Elements 8'?
All help is highly appreciated, as I really don't want to add all this valuable tag information manually...

    function(){return A.apply(null,[this].concat($A(arguments)))}
All tags are correct, but PSE automatically reconnected only approx 5000 of the approx 8500 pictures (the picture directory has been changed)
See this FAQ for how to beat the Reconnect command into submission:

  • Cannot sync photos from Adobe Photoshop Album anymore

    Dear Everybody,
I recently upgraded my computer and had to reinstall it altogether. I ended up with the foloowing configuration:
    WinXP pro SP2
    iTunes 7.2.0.35
    Quicktime 7.1.6
    Adobe Photoshop Album 3.2
As you may have guessed, I use Photoshop Album to organize my digital photos and up to now I was able to sync specific collections with my iPod. Unfortunately this is not the case since I upgraded, after iTunes complained that it could not find my photo software.
I tried reinstalling everything and restoring my iPod without success, now I am desperate for help!
Does anyone have a similar experience or even better, a solution??
    Many thanks in advance,

Just to point out that this will not work for raw files, since Adobe for some reason decided against using XMP sidecar files for the organizer, the way they do for PE/mac, bridge, etc.

  • Migrating photos from Adobe Photoshop Album to Aperture

A while ago I posted to see if anyone had done this but got no replies. I have now managed to migrate my photos and most importantly kept the tags.
The first issue was that Adobe Photoshop Album kept its tags in an inaccesible proprietary database. This was resolved by downloading a 30 day trial version of Photoshop Elements 5 (PC). It appears that Adobe have actually built Photoshop Album in to Photoshop Elements (without telling any of us paid up Album users!). It is all there in PE5. What PE5 adds is an entry in 'File' menu called 'Write Tag and Properties Info to Photos'.
This 'writing' puts the tag information into the keyword IPTC field within the picture file itself.
It was then a simple case of making a backup from the file menu and backing up the whole library on to DVD(s).
In aperture simply Import images from the file menu, select the DVD and all the images are imported - tags and all.
The only one gripe about this process is that PE5 randomly misses out adding tag information to the files. There doesn't appear to be any logic to which files had no keyword information added at all. However, this is a better option than having to re-keyword everything again.
I hope this help some of you.

  • How do I maintain adobe photoshop albums when importing into ipad photo albums

How do I maintain the adobe photoshop albums when importing them into the ipad photo library?

Do these albums on the iPad have the cloud icon next to them? If they do, they are albums that you have previously purchased from iTunes. You can remove them from the Music app by going to Settings>iTunes &App Store>Show All>Music>Off.

  • How can I transfer my Photos INCLUDING tags from Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2 on a new?

I have some thousand photos on my old PC using Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2.
How can I transfer them on a new PC (and a new more professional photoshop edition) without losing the tags?
    Thanks for any help.

If you still have your 3.2 psa catalog in your "My Catalogs" folder, try
    downloading PSE5  from here:
    http://www.johnrellis.com/photoshop_elements_5.0_trial_version.exe.
PSE5 should be able to find your catalog and you can convert it into PSE5.
If that doesn't work, it may be because you weren't able to run  "reconnect
all missing files" in PSA3.2 before attempting the conversion.   If all your
photos were still connected, this should work.  Then you can open PSE8 and
convert PSE5 into PSE8.  Do a "reconnect all missing files" in PSE5 before
you do the conversion.  Even though all my files were connected when I
converted PSA2 into PSE5, PSE5 had about 30 unconnected photos.
    Good luck!

  • LOST FAMILY PHOTO'S AUTOMATICALLY DOWNLOADED TO Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2.

My photos were automatically downloaded to the above mentioned sight and although I can see the photo's stored a registration message pops up and I am not able to access them, the photo's were also automatically deleted from my camera. I am aware that Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2 is no longer available and have tried to download an updated trial version but this appears to taking forever and a virus message keeps appearing. If this Photoshop is unavailable why was it still available for my photo's to disappear into?

There is a forum dedicated to Photoshop Album Starter.

  • Sync of Photos to Adobe Photoshop Album

I have tried to sync various collections of Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0 to my Ipod and each time only about 1/3 of the images are sync-ed. None of my bmp files transferred (this may be just by chance as most the files are jpg and tif), but also most of my other tif and jpg files did not transfer. I transfered them optimized for the ipod (small files) and I have over 15G of storage left on my Ipod. Any suggestions?

    Hi,
Your photos aren't actually in the Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2 program, but on your hard drive, most likely in one of the
