adobe photoshop elements 9 , i cannot get the circle to appear using clone stamp tool and the spot healing brush . i`ve tried restating my computer and unloading and loading the adobe disc . but still no good .
I had this same problem and was searching for answers. I also prefer using a circle instead of crosshairs. I hope you've figured it out by now, but, if you haven't, here is the answer (I am using Elements 9, but, it should work for other versions I think):
1. Open up Elements Editor, Click on Edit, Click on Preferences, Click on Display & Cursors.
2. Under Painting Cursors, select Full Size Brush Tip
3. (optional) - if you want crosshairs within your circle, then also select Show Crosshair in Brush Tip.
4. Click ok.
Now use the brush, and it should have a circle to use.
P.S. Sometimes if you have your Caps Lock key on, that removes the circle as well.

I have found a temporary solution, allowing the previous version of iTunes (v. 11.1.3 (x64) in my case) to be re-installed. It will allow you to re-establish use of iTunes until the Apple software engineers fix the most recent disasterous upgrade (v. 11.1.4). Is this a false message, or is there an update available? If so How do I update my version?
Hi,
It is not a false message, those updates are available. (I have overlaid the camera raw info here)
If you load the editor, when you get told about the updates, and you click on Update, it may take a moment to get going.
If you are on a Windows system, you may find that there is a User Access Control request icon flashing on your taskbar. I'm not sure about MAC systems.

Having installed an upgrade for Photoshop Elements 13, I cannot open the application. I get an error message saying "Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor cannot be opened because of a problem. Check with the developer to make sure Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor works with this version of OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and OS X".
I have since uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but get the same error message.Which version of OS X do you have? It's not clear from your post whether "installed an upgrade" means you just installed PSE 13 as an upgrade or you installed an update to PSE 13, like ACR 9 or 13.1. Please clarify.

SEVERAL MONTHS AGO I FINALLY MANAGED TO FIND THE ONLINE HELP AND THEY SPENT AN HOUR OR SO TRYING TO HELP ME AND THEN WHEN I WENT TO USE IT AGAIN AND SIGN IN IT WAS THE SERIAL NUMBER AGAIN AND SAYS IT DOES WORK. I NEED HELP. I'VE HAD THIS FOR NEARLY A YEAR AND CAN'T USE IT.

When I try to reinstall Photoshop Element 13, I get the message "cannot write file". i own the program and I don't want to subscribe to Creative Cloud. What can I do?
This has nothing to do with CC or any of that. You have insufficient user privileges to write files locally on your computer or a technical issue gets in teh way. Since you have not provided any system info or otehr details, we cannot tell you more than that.

I am trying to download the trial of PSE 13 which consists of two files. The first downloads ok but on the second I get this message:

The Akamai Download Manager has encountered an fatal error: File not found.
Same thing happens if I try to download the files individually and also in different browsers. Any ideas?Me three. I have been trying for hours, and have used three different browsers.
I have just noticed that the URL it is trying to use is looking for ...win32.exe under a directory called win64. That sounds like a stupid typo mistake. I manually modified the URL to this instead (and it downloaded something)...

When using the clone stamp tool and press the alt key layer just moves
when using the clone stamp tool and press the alt key to set a point it seem to create a new layer and just moves the layer arround. I can not get the clone to now work. what did I do?
Open the Clone Source panel. I think you'll find the Clipped option is disabled. If so, enable it.
