Adobe Presenter Audio Cut Off

So I am trying to make some flashcards.  I have little 1 second mp3s of vocabulary words.  I attached each mp3 to each slide.  When I publish it, some of the words get cut off.  For instance, if mp3 plays the word "disseminate",  then presenter will just play .. "...seminate"  It seems to just cut off the beggining.  I know its not the MP3 because when I press the back button, it plays the mp3 just fine.   It gets cut off only when the flash is being played.  I even made the settings so that the video has to load before playing.   Anyone else having this problem?  Any suggestions?  Thanks in advance.

I think this might be due to something weird that also happens when playing mp3s through the Flash Player using ActionScript (vs. putting it on the timeline).
What I do (in Flash and in Presenter) is to add about 1 second of ambient sound to the beginning of all narrations, etc. I then save and import the "padded" mp3 into Flash or Presenter and publish out.
This seems to take care of the issue in most cases.

  • Timing goes out and audio cuts off at end of published slide sequence

    Hi
I am experiencing a problem with timing and the sound cutting off at the end of a slide sequence.
    Here is my work flow:
I record what I want my slide show to say, add my music and sound effects in Soundbooth. I then create a mp3 file for my slide show.
I adjust my slide show timing to match my voice over, ensuring that the total number of minutes and seconds the slide show equates to matches the length of my audio. I then import my audio into my project while maintaining the slide timing.
If I preview the individual slides to match the timing of the arrival of words or pointers in my presentation by pressing the play button in Captivate, everything is great.... until I publish to a .swf file.
On a 2m:50sec slide show of 22 slides it cuts off approximately 5 seconds before the end. My timing which I have bent my brain on getting right, is out and appears to worsen the longer the slide show is or if it is not on the latest and greatest Mac powered computer.
I have gone so far as to increase the length of time on the last slide 5 seconds beyond the length of time that the audio occupies as well as adding another 5 seccond blank slide and still have the same cut off problem. No ideas how to help the poor souls who might not have an amazing computer to watch the demonstration on?
Interestingly if I publish and look only at the last 3 slides or if I look at a short sequence of slides or at a slide in isolation, my audio is there as it should be along with the timing. It would appear that the time "lost" or a lag between the presentation and the audio is the culprit.
Kindly advise if there is a solution to this or whether the problem lies with something I am doing.
    Thank you in advance

Has there been any new developments on this problem?
I've been having to do some crazy work arounds to avoid audio cutting off at the end of slides when using CP5 for development.
Then this week I had to review an old training which was published a long time ago only to discover that the same issue of audio cutting off is happening there.
These materials were developed using CP4 and some even with CP3.  This means that the problem/change is not CP5 but probably something to do with the Flash player version because at the time of publshing the older files did not have this issue.
This has me really worried.  There is no way I can go back and update all the old files and it means that previously perfect materials are now being viewed with audio cutting off.
Have the Adobe Captivate developers considered the possiblity that this may be a flash player issue?  Have you discussed this with the Adobe Flash developers?  Will there be a fix for this anytime soon?
    Thanks,
    Aimee

  • Audio cuts off then video moments later for Jabber users when content is shared during a multipoint VC

If a presentation* is being shown from a VC end point/or by Jabber, the audio cuts off, then the video of the Jabber user freezes. The call has not ended on our end we can still hear and see them. A few moments later their video on our end freezes and the audio is lost. The call is finally terminated a few moments after.
When this happens to the Jabber participant they either have to restart Jabber or in some case have to reboot their PC
The Jabber participant can be cut off from their class 2 to 3 times  throughout the duration of the class
This happens over all the MCU\blades, so doesn’t  appear to be blade specific
Only appears to happen in multi –point conferences not in point to point calls

  • Audio cutting off at the end of audio clips w no change in waveform?

Audio cuts off right at the end of some of my clips... I can still see the waveforms that have the full audio on them, but no audio plays for those last two or three seconds! My audio level is the same throughout the clip, so its not like its fading out or anything. This has been happeneing for a few weeks now, in multiple seperate projects.

    Hi David,
Thanks for the response. I did look at the song that got cut off and it's a .m4a file. However, I also have normal audio that comes from an external Zoom recorder in .wav format that is getting cut off in the same way. The strange thing is I've never had a problem with this before a couple weeks ago. I've used this same song before and my external audio is always in .wav format

  • Audio cutting off

I'm using Captivate 5.5 w/all available updates.  I have read through other discussions and attempted the suggestings to correct his issue. The audio cuts off on slide 1 (of 3) when published to Connect.  I've uploaded it as a .cptx, .swf, and .zip.  On exit is "no action".  I don't know what else to do and my frustration level is max'd out.  I need some help to correct this issue.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I got it working by adding several items; 1. a transparant button running past the other page items, and 2. adding space at the end of my audio.  I don't know which of these individual actions made it work and I'm not going to mess with it!  So relieved it is working now and the content is now published!

  • Occasional Audio cut off

I've had users complain that sometimes my narrated tutorials have the first part of the audio cut off. However, it is  not consistent. Sometimes the same tutorial's audio works fine when restarting. Any ideas?
    Thanks so much.
    Leona

Did you say your bandwidth was 32 kbps?  That's barely better than an old FAX modem. I'm not surpised that your SWF might be buffering if your incoming bandwidth is that skinny.
Or did you mean 320 kbps?

  • Keynote 6.5 audio cuts off in the middle of a recording

I am trying to record a Keynote presentation with narrative then convert it to a movie and post it to YouTube.  I created and saved the presentation, verified the recording then exported it to Quicktime.  From there, I loaded it up to YouTube but discovered that the audio was cut off within the first minute or two.  When I went back to the original recording, it appears that the audio was cut off when it was being converted to a movie.  Is this a known bug or am I doing something wrong?  Any fixes out there?  Thank you.

One example of an affected clip:
Source is from a Panasonic HD camera--so transferred to FC from a P2 card
    Item properties:
    817.5 MB
    960x720
DVCPRO HD 720p60, Interger (little Endian), Timecode
Hey--could this be caused by the frame rate of the sequence? I just noticed that the sequence these affected clips are in is 60fps, and my video clips are 23.98fps. So--I copied and pasted my clips into a new 23.98 sequence and the issue has gone away. Huh. Oops... Not enough coffee this morning.
Thanks for trying to help out--sorry to have answered my own question (duh).

  • Adobe Media Encoder cuts off video layer when the Ultra Key effect is applied

I am working on a Mac (10.8.5) using the latest verison of Premiere Pro CC. I am using Ultra Key to remove the chroma key background from the "talent layer" and adding a "new background layer" behind the talent video layer. When I export directly from Premiere, the sequence exports as expected. However, I have many sequences, and wish to speed up the  process using Adobe Media Encoder. When I export the same sequence using Adobe Media Encoder, the top half of the "talent layer" is completly cut off:
The issue has something to do with the Ultra key effect because when I remove the effect from the "talent layer" it exports in tact (with a chroma key background of course). Adobe Media Encoder CC is up to date as well; are there any known bugs with Media Encoder CC and the Ultra Key effect in Premiere Pro?
    Thanks!

  • Beginning of audio cut off

I am having issues with several tutorials I am developing.
Not every slide, but many have a narration. There is plenty of room
at the front of the audio (silence) and I have even tried moving
the audio down the timeline a second or so, yet when I publish it
and preview it, some frames the first few seconds of the audio is
cut off. Sometimes if I hit the "previous" frame button, it plays
fine the second time around, but not always. Some of these .cp's
are 100 frames or so, could that be the problem. Thanks in advance.
PS. Ive been doing this for years for a living, usually use
Flash, was working for General Dynamics, I normally would stay away
from such large movies, nothing but trouble. But this is how the
    client wants them.

    Hello kcore66,
Would it be possible for you to upload one of the files in
question so that I can take a look. In Captivate 1.01 there is an
intermittent problem where sometimes the audio is either cut off or
just doesn't play when you publish / preview. To get around this
simply moving the audio object back and forth along the timeline
and then positioning it back in it's original position works 9
    times out of 10.

  • Keynote presenter notes cut off

Help - when I print slides with presenter notes, my notes get cut off at the end of the page. Apart from making the font really tiny (which makes it difficult when I'm presenting), is there any workaround?

I can print over 40 lines of text at 12 point if portrait is selected in the print dialogue box. There is an unnecessary blank space created by Keynote between the slide image and text but any more text than that you should use a text creation application, Edit Text, Pages, Word to print your text.

  • Adobe Pro X - cutting off bottom and sides of document

    Hi.
I had to convert a word doc to a PDF (I managed that)
I then had to put a video in the PDF - so I installed Acrobat Pro X to do this
However, since getting Acrobat Pro X, the bottom and sides of the document have been cut off, and there's a white border along the bottom and right hand side.
I can't uninstall Pro as I need to put videos into the PDF, but I can't submit PDFs with the bottoms and sides cut off either.
Please please can somebody help me?
    Thanks so much

Go back to the original WORD document and convert to PDF using either the Adobe PDF printer or PDF Maker (Adobe menu item in WORD). If that solves the problem you are fine. If not, then give us details on how you did the conversion.

  • Beginning of audio cut off when using digital optical out

    Hi all,
This is my first post here since switching to Mac earlier this year.
I'm having problems with the first second or so of audio being cut off when commencing playback using the Mac's digital optical out.  This happens with any source of audio in a variety of different applications (e.g. video, iTunes, even system sounds for notifications and the like).   I have used a mini Toslink to Toslink optical cable to connect from the Mac's audio out jack to the receiver of my digital speakers (Logitech Z906).  Once playback has commenced, audio plays fine; it's just the very first second or so which is usually clipped.
The problem does NOT happen when using the built-in speakers.  I've also noticed that if I unplug the cable from the receiver end (leaving it connected at the Mac end) I can see the red LED light shining the optical signal down the cable, but this goes out exactly 30 seconds after audio stops playing.  If I start another audio playback within 30 seconds, there is no loss of audio at the beginning, but if I wait longer than 30 seconds (i.e. after the LED has gone out) I encounter the problems with the initial audio being clipped.   I therefore suspect that this is an OS issue which is shutting down the digital optical out when audio is not actually playing (presumably to save power or something).  I wouldn't have a problem with this if it actually worked properly when audio playback recommences, but it seems that there is a slight delay whilst the optical out service 'wakes up' again and this is leading to the clipped audio.
I've done some searching of the internet (and these support communities) for this problem and there seems to be little information about it.  It does seem to affect a few other people though and some have resorted to third party applications or scripts which play silent audio at regular intervals to keep the optical output running permanently (e.g. SoundStay (https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/39833/soundstay) - no longer maintained and the download link is dead).  However, these amount to a kludge at best which treat the symptoms rather than the underlying cause, which I would rather resolve.
I tried to log a support case with Apple in order to have them call me, only to have the system tell me that my support has already expired, despite having purchased the Mac only 4 months ago.  It seems that my Apple One-Year Limited Warranty is actually only 90 days when it comes to telephone support.  So here I am!
Does anyone else have this problem with optical out, and how can I resolve this?  Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
    Thank you.

  • Premiere Elements 7: Transitions: audio cut off brutally

    Hello,
I got me this Elements 7 package since yesterday and I am impressed so far, but there is one thing that does not make it 100% perfect for me yet.
-> In scene line I put 2 clips next to each other, I add a transition between them. (cross dissolve)
-> Premiere will do the transition BUT
    1. during the transition-effect the second clip is not playing, only showing the first frame until the transition-effect is over, giving this stop & go' effect, where it should run smooth into the other clip.
    2. There is no transition in the sound (the audio of the first clip should run smoothly to silent and vice versa for the second clip)
This makes the sound cut off very brutally during a transition.
Am i doing something horribly wrong here? Is there someway to 'automate' the thing I want, because I use this mostly between much videos.
    I thank you very much!

You need to trim some frames (half the transition duration) off each end of the two clips where the transistion is applied. It is really much better to work in Timeline view it makes things much clearer.
Or if you do not want to trim the clips, you can open up the transition "properties" window and drag the ends of the clips so they overlap. You do not then get repeated frames and so no need to trim the clips.
But first try clicking on the transition and in the "properties" window for the transition click on "Center at cut"

  • Audio cuts off in Encore CS3

Can anyone help me figure this out:
I imported an avi file into Encore CS3 as a timeline and created a continuous loop. When I play the DVD about half way through the audio just cuts off. I check the avi file and it's fine so I tried using Encore 1.5, and it burned just fine, the audio did not cut off. I tried a full re install and it still did the same thing. Any suggestions would help, thanks.

    >DV type 1 with audio at 41k stero
Instead of 44.1KHz the audio should be 48KHz. And it would be safer to use a type 2 instead of a type 1 DV AVI format. If the Newtek Toaster can't write type 2 files you could use
    DVdate
(free for personal use) to convert from 1 to 2.
