Adobe Reader Licence Agreement Problems

Having some problems accepting the agreement so I can view .PDF Files - which I unfortunately can't do at the moment. Everytime I load a document, or the program on it's own, I get this 'can't connect to internet explorer' page instead. So I have to click the x, and I ihave to quit Adobe Reader.
Please help?
(I've also included some pictures to help)

The key thing to check first is whether you can visit the web using
Internet Explorer, since Adobe Reader is using it to display the
agreement.
If you can, try clicking more details and see if it will tell you the
URL it was visiting; try copying and pasting that into an IE window.
Does it work?

    Hello,
    Welcome to Adobe Forums,
If the resolution of you computer is small, then please increase the resolution size and then you will see the "Accept" button
On Windows XP : Right Click on Desktop -> Properties -> Setting -> Increase the Screen Resolution
On Windows 7 & Vista : Right Click on Desktop -> Screen Resolution
    Hope this helps
    Thanks,
    Vikram

  • Accepting Adobe Software Licence Agreement

    Hi,
Does anyone know why I have to continually accept the Adobe Software Licence Agreement?
In the past few weeks, anytime after i have shut my computer down, I am askewd to accept the Adobe Software Licence Agreement when I reopen any of the CC applications.
In some cases, I also have to go through the process to register this product.
I have been using CC for about 7 months and have not had this issue before.
    Regards,
    Matthew

    Hi Matt,
It might be somehow related to permissions is not allowing changes to get saved properly. You might try right-clicking and choosing Run as Administrator when launching all apps that are prompting with the License Agreement and see if it continues to happen.

    Hi guidolal,
Are you facing the issue with any pdf's on the Mac.
Have you tried downloading a sample pdf like any Adobe help file from the website and then check if you are able to launch it fine via Reader?

    This is what is says:
In order to distribute Adobe Reader software you need to have a valid
Adobe Reader Distribution Agreement in place.
If you are not planning to distribute the software, you are free to download and use it.

  • Adobe Reader X creates problems w/coldfusion pdf forms

Ever since I upgraded to Adobe Reader X, I can not open any of my odf forms on my webapp.  these forms were designed with Acrobat Pro 8.0 and are prepopulated by coldfusion server.  When I browse to one since upgrade, I get the following message:
To view the full contents of this document, you need a later version of the PDF viewer. You can upgrade
to the latest version of Adobe Reader from www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
Obviously, I have the latest version and Acrobat 8 and Acrobat 9 readers both worked.  Is there an easy work around or a way to get rid of Acrobat X and go back?

Could you please try turning off reader X protected mode and check if you continue to see the problem?
You could turn off protected mode using following steps:
    1. Launch Reader X and select Edit->Preferences...
    2. Select General from left navigation
    3. Under application startup uncheck "Enable Protected Mode at Startup"
Note: You should switch "ON" protected mode after verifying the problem. Purpose of Reader X Protected Mode is to keep your system safe from PDF based exploits and keeping protected mode OFF will leave your system vulnerable.

  • Adobe Reader is causing problems in Windows 7

    Good morning all,
I have been doing some digging on this one and have had no joy so far. We are deploying Windows 7 in our office and I have one user, and only one who is having problems.
They had Adobe Reader X installed and they began to have problems with it after they were upgraded to WIN 7. When they went to print a PDF it started to lock their PC for 3-5 minutes after which they were able to continue with their work.
This behavior is internmittent in that it does not happen with every PDF and typically only happens once a day. Some times  it is the first PDF of the day, sometimes in the middle of the day, but once it happens it does not happen again in the same day. Sometimes the user does not experience the problem for several days. We have been unsuccessful in determining any pattern or any particular in which this users machine is environmentally different from any other users machine.
No other users are experiencing this problem.
The user has a laptop and shuts it down to take home each night and starts the box fresh in the office each day.
Lately this behavior has extended to when the user just opens a PDF. Their laptop will freeze for 3-5 minutes and then they can continue with their work.
Based upon a very few articles we have found on the subject, we have tried a couple of things without success:
We have tried clearing the Adobe Reader cache
We have uninstalled Reader X and replaced it with Reader 9x
We are hoping that someone out there who has seen something like this before and can suggest some environmental or proceedural thing that we have missed. This one is driving us crazy.
Thanks in advance for any help.
    Steve

  • Adobe Reader, Telnet Hyperlink Problem

Hi, I met a telnet Hyperlink Problem in Adobe Reader.
When click the Hyperlink (like telnet://a.b.c.d), Adobe reader gives me a Alert:
Acrobat does not allow connection to: telnet://a.b.c.d
And I also need to open this telnet hyperlink in web browser with Adobe reader plugin.
Would you please give me some help?

Acrobat and Adobe Reader recently closed off access to custom protocols. Telnet is a standard protocol, but I can't see Adobe leaving it working.

  • Using the Adobe Reader Distribution Agreement link results in an error 404

I have a current Distribution Agreement for Reader etc but the link to download Reader results in an error 404 - Sorry, this page is not available.

    Hi Ben,
Thanks for the response. I would have posted a link but as part of the distribution agreement it is not to be shared/posted.
I already have a current distribution agreement so the Volume distribution page does not help.
From the Enterprise Toolkit Home I accessed ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/ and was able to download from /pub/adobe/reader/win/11.x/11.0.10/en_US so thanks for the link.
Still does not fix the 404 error though on the distribution download link http://www.adobe.com/products/reader/runtime-distribution3.html#?????-???? (sanitised).

  • Adobe Reader XI Installation Problem

I just performed a fresh reload of Windows XP SP3 on one of my computers. After downloading and running the installer for Adobe Reader XI I get the following error pop up:
    Internet Explorer Script Error
An Error has occurred in the script on this page.
    Line:     1
    Char:    10570
    Error:    'ActionLaunchReader' is undefined.
    Code:    0
    URL:     http://127.0.0.1:2469/app/_js/adobe.js
Again I am running Windows XP SP3 with all the patches applied, JRE 7u10 (set as the default for both IE and Firefox), and scripting is enabled in Internet Explorer. I get the exact same error when trying to install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player as well, however, Adobe Shockwave installed just fine.
I am new to this forum, so forgive me if this problem has been posted before. I did not find anything similar in a search. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Adobe Reader XI running problems

Just upgraded from Reader X to reader XI. Since upgrade each time I open a PDF file I get error message stating Adobe Reader has stopped working and will now close. It states you will be notified once a solution is available. This has been going on for days and am sick of it. Very tempted to delete XI and go back to version X. Version X ran beautifully. I am using an Acer notebook with 1 GB RAM and 250 GB hard drive as well as Windows 7 starter edition. Please advise. Thanks
PS The error message I get is "runtime error" and then the program closes

Thank you for your response Pat
    1. It is not a malware issue. I ran Norton scan (full) on my system as i do each week. The computer is clean and free of malware.
    2. This problem does not occur when i open Adobe XI by itself. It only happens when i open a PDF document (any PDF document) created  In other words when I open adobe XI without opening any PDF file it opens up alright. As soon as i point to any PDF file and load the file into the Adobe XI reader the software crashes. I get a message from windows stating "runtime error" and something to the effect that Adobe XI encountered a problem and will be closing. It is very frustrating. I have been using adobe for years. As of the last upgrade X EVERYTHING RAN LIKE CLOCKWORK. Once i installed Adobe XI the problems began.
    3. I will try some of your other suggestions and let you know. As I am a very busy person i do not have much time to mess with this. My hunch is that it is some type of bug with this particular version of Adobe XI. In the event i cannot fix the prblblem I will uninstall XI and go back to version X which ran like clockwork.
    Thank you kindly.
