Adobe reader X (10.1.2) Zoom and Copy doesn't work

Hi guys,
I installed Reader X yesterday and now I'm stuck with these 2 problem
I cannot zooming by using ctrl+mouse wheel (up or down), zooming with ctrl+(plus or minus) still work. This feature also work fine on FireFox, Chrome and other programs. In addition, I cannot left click to drag pages down with hand tool.
Another problem is everytime I copy text from a pdf file, there is a message that "There were an error while copying to the Clipboard. An internal error occured".
All above features works fine on Reader 9 and older versions. I'm using Windows 7 Home 64-bit.
Please help

v10.1.3 seems to solve this issue, but...
For me Ctrl+minus doesn't work... it confuses it with Ctrl+6
Maybe because I'm on AZERTY keyboard and - and 6 are on same key

Current Situation: The above command line parameter when executed is working as expected in a User's Workspace. When executed in a command line on the Application Server is working as expected. But, the same is not working while executing it from Deployed environment.Software being used: 1. Adobe 11.0 enterprise version. 2. Webshpere Application Server 8.5.5.2. • Need to install Adobe Reader to a 64 bit folder and not (x86) default 32 bit folder

    Hi
We have a program on our system which searches on local machines for their Adobe Reader in able to open up a pdf. Only one pc on our network is 64 bit and of course when installing Reader will default install to C:\Program Files (x86).
We need to be able to install AR to C:\Program Files to allow the databse to work on this 64 bit pc.
I have tried using the cmd feature and also adobe customisation wizard but to no avail.
Is there any way to change folder location on install?
    Many thanks

The software is wrong? How do you mean?  The software by default tells the users computers to use Adobe Reader to open up the created pdf files by this program. This program has been designed for a specialist purpose and cost thousands. Unfortunately the default location is under the 32 bit directory which is Program Files on all the 32 bit machines which is just fine. Now we need the 64 bit pc to be able to run this software but changing the default location of where to find adobe reader would mean the 32 bit pc's would not work. To add another location would mean the designer of the program charging another huge amount (approx £300).
All I am asking is there anyway installing AR can override the default location in a 64 bit pc and put adobe in C:\Program Files as if it were a 32 bit pc?
Many thanks for replies so far

I just signed up for a subscription to adobe reader paying EUR 24.40.
The program does not work, and I can not even go to my personal page .... help ...?

Adobe Reader is free; it does not require a subscription.
Did you subscribe to an online service like ExportPDF, PDF Pack, ...?
What exactly does "not work" mean?

  • Adobe Reader 10.1.2 (w/fix) and/or 9.x hang when printing.

I've uninstalled/reinstalled both reversions many times (w/ and w/o 10.1.2 print fix).  The thing is, when first installed, both versions print okay, but after computer re-start/reboot printing a pdf file causes a hang of reader.  Word, excel, notepad, etc. print just fine.  As far as I can tell, duplex mode is not on in 10.1.2.  To get a pdf to print, I have to uninstall one version and reinstall another.  But it's a one session deal.  As soon as computer is rebooted, no printing.  Seems as if computer startup switches some setting.  OS is Windows XP with drivers up-to-date. Any suggestions?

Repair did not correct it.  I used Revo Uninstaller to do a clean uninstall.  It uninstalls using the application's uninstall and then scans for any leftover files or registry entries. It found some so I got rid of them as well.  I deleted my temp files (%temp%) and emptied the recycle bin.  Then I donwloaded and installed Adobe Reader 10.1.2 from the web site.  It works!  I am so happy as I have many long PDFs and use search constantly.   Thank you for all your help.

We need to know if any registry settings are causing this error.  Please follow these instructions:
from Windows Start | Search: type regedit and hit Enter; you will see a window like this
now click on the little arrow ▹ left from HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Next click the arrow ▹ beside Software, then Microsoft, then Windows, then CurrentVersion, then Explorer, then click on User Shell Folders
all entries on the right side should start with %USERPROFILE%
If you have anything different, this may be the cause for the install failure.
Now you need to repeat the same thing for another key:
    ▹ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE ▹ Software ▹ Microsoft ▹ Windows ▹ CurrentVersion ▹ Explorer ▹ User Shell Folders
Here all entries should start with %PUBLIC% or %ProgramData%.  If you have anything different, this may also be the cause for the install failure.

  • After installing Adobe Reader 8.1.2 system restarts and freezes

After installing Adobe Reader 8.1.2 system restarts and freezes (hangs, locks up)
I have Windows XP SP2, plenty of spare disk space and Adobe Reader 8.1.1.
The 8.1.2 Reader appeared to install OK and asked for the system to be restarted. When I accepted this it shut down and rebooted as expected,
but just before it was fully restarted it froze and I could do nothing.
I pressed the power switch and tried again but the same thing happened again.
To get back to a usable system I had to boot in safe mode and go back to a restore point.
I don't know if this is relevent but it stopped just before Nortom firewall usually starts.
I am keen to install the new version because of the security fixes.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks in anticipation

You do. Your system is either Windows or Mac (or maybe a couple of other less popular choices) and a version of one or the other.
When you set up your machine, you were asked for an administrator user name and password. You need both of these to install software.

Try the offline installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

  • I uninstalled Adobe Reader X to address a problem and cannot reinstall the software.

I uninstalled Adobe Reader X to address a problem and now I am unable to reinstall the software. Ideas?

OK - you can download the standalone installed for Adobe Reader directly from the Adobe FTP site.
    ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/10.x/10.1.2/en_US/
Save the executable file onto your computer and then double-click on it - the installer should run as normal.
If you want to install a different language, go to this address instead:
    ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/10.x/10.1.2/
