Adobe says the serial number on my original package for PhotoDeluxe 4.0 is not an Adobe number. I am unable to reinstall the program.

Just user to user....based on past and current history, Adobe Tech Support is not going to help you with a technical issue which is preventing you from using your purchased serial number for Photoshop Elements. Version 12 is not the current version. And, the Adobe Tech Support is limited even for the current version which is 13. If this matter involves a purchased activated serial number trapped on a crashed computer while you are trying to install on a 3rd computer, then probably Adobe Chat Activation can be of assistance. b. Have you verified your Photoshop Elements serial number at the Adobe web site (http://www.adobe.com) - after signing in with your
Adobe ID and Password, type My Products in the Search field and follow the path to your product in My Products. Click on Adobe
Photoshop Elements 12 in your list to reveal the serial number.
c. Do the install with antivirus and firewall(s) disabled.

Any help would be appreciated.CS2 is very old and reached its "end of life" a while back. So probably won't run on modern operating systems. If you can still run it, you'll need to uninstall what you have and re-install with the download link below to activate it.

Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Premium trial version says my serial number is invalid?
I purchased Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Premium from my my community college's bookstore in 2010. I successfully have used it all this time, but I recently bought a new laptop. This new laptop does not have a disk drive, but I was able to download the trial version of it online. It downloaded great, and I have been using the trial version, but the trial is up in one week. I deactivated my serial number on my old laptop, and then tried to enter it onto my new laptop, but the error message keeps saying "Incorrect Serial Number": "The serial number you entered is not valid." However, the serial number is definitely valid, and I spoke with Adobe and they just checked and were able to see that I do have an activation available for this serial number. Why won't it accept it?
Side Notes:
The licensing is Student Licensing
I downloaded the correct creative suite (Creative Suite 4 Design Premium)
I typed in the serial number correctly and checked multiple times
I cannot afford to purchase an updated version nor Adobe Creative Cloud at this time

Any help is MUCH appreciated!!Same thing happened to me, except I lost disk 2 and was told to go to the forums.. Seems Adobe isn't too great on their customer service or fixing issues. The problem I was told, was that we have "Student" serials and the one from the download isnt a student version.

While upgrading Adobe Creative Suite CS4 ME into Adobe Creative Suite CS5.5 Design Premium, I get an error saying This serial number is not of a qualifying product, please try another. I used to be able to get a code from customer service but I can't get to the chat. Please advise!!!!
MoeGhazal I reviewed your account and it looks like you have have upgraded from a CS4 volume license for Design Premium to a retail upgrade of Design Premium 5.5.
I also show that you made two purchases of CS5.5 Design Premium but the second purchase was canceled. Please make sure you are utilizing the serial number which ends in 7886.
If you are using the correct serial number then it is likely the installer will not recognize your volume license CS4 serial number as being valid for an upgrade. If you can contact our support team then you can be walked through an unlocking procedure to allow you to proceed with the installation. You can contact our support team directly at Contact Customer Care. You may want to try installing a web browser you have not previously utilized. It is likely a toolbar or some other software application is affecting your ability to access chat support successfully.

Photoshop is saying my serial number is invalid for my computer
I lost my hard drive recently and got a new computer. I used my discs to dowload CS5 to my new computer. All was good and a day later I got an error message in Photoshop saying my serial number was not valid for this computer.
You may have too many copies active. Since you could not deactive crashed drive that is still considered active. Only allowed 2 activated copies. Call Adobe.

/ JojjaOh my, I hope so too but its pretty common on these types of sites - even eBay sellers do it. Its all about the way they word it. Some sellers are very crafty in the way they word their ads misleading the buyer into thinking they're getting a legitimate and licensed product when it's actually not. Be careful in any future products you buy on these kinds of sites.
My advice is to quickly write an email to the seller and demand to know what you just bought - Be VERY specific and thorough with your questions - for example on ebay I bought a computer that had CS5 installed on it (but it didn't come with the install disks) This particular seller installed CS5 or 6 as well as the Microsoft Suites on all of his used pc's. So before I bid, I sent an email to him asking if it included the product codes for the CS5 because I intended to register it for Adobe support. He advised me that he bought bulk licenses for all his software, he told me exactly where the product codes were on a document and they were in fact legit.
Also check the return policy of the Site (not the seller) sometimes they offer a little protection to their customers. Be sure to contact their support department and their Fraud department if it turns out you were scammed. And definitely give negative feedback to the seller.
One more thing, you should also check with the Adobe licensing support department. In fact, do this FIRST - so that you're sure the code is no good. Sometimes the product codes have expiration dates (though I've never heard of it happening to entire suite) If this is the case they will issue you a new code free of charge.

If you purchased it from Adobe, it is registered and that would prove ownership as well as the emaill they sent with the serial number.

Click on the triangle next to your product and you will see the serial number assigned to you.
You have a valid record and proof of ownership. Try again.

I think that you'll need to get in touch with support to sort this out.
But you could check your order to see if you ordered and upgrade or a new purchase. The serial numbers for upgrade are different, and require the earlier version on your computer ( or its serial number instead).
If you've oredered an upgrade, check that you're entering the correct serial number. You'll probably be prompted to enter both: once for qualifying product and once for the new upgrade.
Let us know if this was the issue. If not, I suggest that you get in touch with Adobe Support.
