Adobe to iTunes

I have a movie that is recorded on my TV, and it has a song I want. I can record the part of the movie with the song on it onto a DV tape, which I can then load onto either Adobe Audition or Adobe Premiere Pro. But my question is, how do I export a song out of Adobe Premiere Pro or Adobe Audition into an iTunes file that I can put in my iTunes library? Is it possible? Thanks!
Brian

You need it in some format that QuickTime can use.
I didn't even know Adobe had video software. You'll probably have better results googling.

  • If I have plugins already installed, then switch to Firefox, do I need to download plugins for FF in order to use Adobe, Picasa, itunes, etc?

I am switching to Firefox today from Windows Explorer. On my computer I have programs such as itunes, Picasa, Adobe, Java. Do I need to download plugins of these programs specifically for Firefox?
Also, I have been using Windows Security Essentials for my computer. Can I still use that? Does Firefox provide security such as a firewall, virus protection and automatic updates? If I need to make a change, what do you recommend?
Many thanks for your time and attention.

The programs that you mention likely have a plugin for Firefox, so you do not need to take action other than to check on "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Plugins" if the plugin in detected and set to "Ask to Activate" or "Always Activate"
Your System Details List shows these among others:
    # Next Generation Java Plug-in 10.55.2 for Mozilla browsers
    # iTunes Detector Plug-in
    # 5.1.30214.0 (Silverlight)
    # Picasa plugin
    # Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape 11.0.06
You are only missing the Shockwave Flash plugin for Firefox.

  • Itunes sharing with Photoshop Elements?

I have Photoshop Elements 9 on Windows 7.
My wife has an iPad 2. I'm getting an iPad 3.
When I set up iTunes syncing for my wife's iPad I created a folder of some special
family pictures and I just sync that one folder to her iPad.
I'm the photographer and PSE user in the house.
For my iPad I'd like to be able to share more of my PSE images.
I have about 8,000 and 32GB of images in PSE.
I have made extensive use of tag keywords to identify all the people, pets, places, events, etc. in the picture.
So I don't have a lot of albums. But I can find any picture by selecting the right keyword tags.
My understanding is that PSE stores the tag information back into the actual image.
I saw in iTunes on my Windows PC that there is a selection under Photos for Sharing with Photoshop.
What are my options there? For my new iPad. I think my wife's is ok as it is.
What I'd really like is to get a lot of the images from PSE onto my iPad.
And have that same keyword selection ability on the iPad so that I can find pictures easily.
If there is a better way to do that than through iTunes syncing then I'm open to that as well.
Thanks for any thoughts or advice. We love these iPads!

While I haven't heard a solution to posts I've made to both Adobe and iTunes sites, I have found a manual workaround.
The catalog files that iTunes uses are of the format "catalog.pseXdb".
In my case, the new catalog is "catalog.pse13db" and the old is "catalog.pse9db". These files are found in catalog folders like: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs\Elements 9 Catalog
    With iTunes and PSE closed,
    1) copy the catalog.pse13db file to the "Elements 9 Catalog folder.
    2) rename the old catalog.pse9db file to keep it and deactivate it
    3) rename catalog.pse13db to catalog.pse9db
iTunes will continue to use the older catalog file, but it now has new catalog contents.  The manual part is that this will need to be done prior to each time you want to sync new catalog content to your devices.
Somewhere around PSE version 7, the catalog file format changed, so this technique may not work for upgrades from about v7 upward.

  • System freeze iTunes photo sync

    Hello,
Recently I've encountered an error that I was able to replicate a second time: My system crashes when I quit the automatic Photo sync (a subwindow of iTunes) with my iPhone 5s. It isn't a spinning beach ball, the whole system simply stops responding to anything.
What could be the cause? Both devices are this month's acquisitions and should be in top form.

  • ITunes and other programs hang after starting...

    Hello everyone,
    Programs effected:
    iPhoto
    Adobe Acrobat
iTunes (Only when I open the iTunes Store)
    Problem:
After about a minute, the program will hang and become unresponsive (pinwheel) but will not crash. I have to shutdown the program manually. The program  will cause my CPU to max out until I force-quit it.
    Any ideas for further diagnosis?
    Thanks,
    Jared

Nevermind! I rebooted my iPod and my computer recognized it! Whew!

  • ITunes/Photoshop Elements Photo Sync Fails After PSE Upgrade

After upgrading from Photoshop Elements version 9 to version 13, the iTunes "Sync Photos from Photoshop Elements" feature no longer works.
iTunes continues to show the albums from version 9, and photo syncing any of the albums causes iTunes to fail into an un-ending loop without an error message. Photo syncing from other folders works fine.  I temporarily re-installed Elements 9 and iTunes photo sync began to work, but using the old version 9 photo catalog.
Is there a fix that will get iTunes to sync with Elements 13 photo albums? Are there files or registry entries that need to be re-pointed to the Elements 13 photo catalog?
I'm running Windows 7 with SP1 and iTunes 12.0.1.26 on a very capable HP PC.
    All help appreciated.
    Thanks ... Tom

  • Youtube without iTunes account

    Hello,
I just bought my iPod Touch 16gb today. Its wonderful.
I need help with something. Im from Brazil and I'd like to know if its possible to use YouTube without a iTunes account. I have already tried www.youtube.com but iPod Touch does not support Adobe Flash.
iTunes is not available in Brazil.
I also tried to create an iTunes account but I dont have the Brazil options in the register.
I hope that Apple fix that.
    Thanks in advance.

    octafish, thanks for replying.
I now I cant access iTunes WiFi Store. This service is not available in Brazil.
I just want to know if its possible to use YouTube withou a iTunes WiFi Sotre Account.
Im able to see Top 10, Featured, Whats hot, etc...
But when I go in the YouTube icon, in the root menu, I get this message:

  • Firefox 3.6.13 unresponsive on choosing Tools | Options

Today I noticed that when I go to Tools | Options, Firefox locks up. Typically, the window title bar will say "(Not responding)"--a Windows thing--but in this case it says nothing. The title bar gets slightly grayed out like it does when it is unresponsive. I have to end the process via Task Manager.
I had not installed anything, just updated existing items recently.
    I disabled all add-ons - didn't help.
    I updated all plug-ins - didn't help.
    I reinstalled Firefox 3.6.3 - didn't help.
    I reinstalled Firefox 3.6.13 (current) - didn't help.
One thing that is curious is that I have had issues with Tools | Options in the past--usually I hand-enter each cookie that I will accept, but Firefox has deleted all of these cookies twice, so a week ago I switched to accepting first-party cookies only.
    I am using 3.6.13 on Windows 7.
Add-ons: Gmail Checker 2.4.2, IE Tab 2.11.21.3, Java Console 6.0.22, Menu Editor 1.2.6, Tab Mix Plus 0.3.8.4
Plug-ins (all up to date): Adobe Acrobat, iTunes Detector, JDK, Java Platform, Office 2010, WMP Plug-in, Mozilla Default Plug-in, QuickTime Plug-in, Flash, Shockwave, Windows Genuine Advantage

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Updating InDesign in CC

I am trying to update InDesign through Creative Cloud. It is asking for a password. Every password I enter fails. I'm not sure what password they are looking for.  Adobe and Itunes passswords both do not work.
    Any advice is appreciated, thanks.

This is the screen that wants my password - image on right shows the update failed.  Thanks for your reply!

  • After update software freezes and other troubles

I installed the latest update from apple little over a week ago. I also started having these issues about the same time:
    I`ll just list my problems:
-Firefox, Adobe CS5, Preview, Adobe Reader, iTunes and just about any other program freezes or crashes frequently. Several times a day, even several times a session.
-When I try searching for downloads/updates, updater crashes.
-When I open a pdf I have recently created myself, it shows just fine. When I try to open a pdf I have downloaded, the program crashes (so far I have tried iPhoto, preview and adobe reader). The last time I know* this worked was in late December, around new years.
-My cursor has turned sloppy, dropping objects or just disappearing. This applies to both the mouse and my tablet.
    -Everything runs super slow.
I did a full backup and housecleaning routine in mid December, so there is ample space on the disk and everything was working ship-shape until after that download.
It might be coincidence, but at least the dates are matching up.
I have tried to reboot, I have tried to give it a nights rest and I have tried to boot in "safe-mode". So far nothing helps.
Any pointers, suggestions and help at all is deeply appreciated!

After reading through the forum I also tried to download and install the 10.6.6 combo, but I am unable to open it. on the plus side: now I get an error code! -10822.
On the down side: I have no idea what this (or any) error code means!
    Any tips?

  • LR 1.1 Crashes: Is Bonjour to blame??

I posted earlier about my frequent crashes specifically on rating photos in the library module:
    http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx?128@@.3bc4644c
Tried upgrading/changing RAM and many other things (including driver updates) but never was able to get through more than a few photos before a crash.
As one step, I decided to go into msconfig (I'm on Windows XP sp2 by the way) and disabled all unnecessary Startup and Services. Found one in particular that puzzled me called:
    ##Id_String1.6844F930_1628_4223_B5CC_5BB94B879762##
Checked with Google and learned this was part of the Bonjour service that both Adobe and iTunes now use. After disabling this and restarting, I was able to process the next three photo shoots (about 200 photos) without a single crash!
Then I was working on 120 photo shoot one night while listening to Harry Potter on iTunes and got repeated crashes. Restarted the computer and tried again (with iTunes on) and crashed again - just like the bad old days. Gave up and went to sleep and listened to the rest of the chapter on my iPod. Next evening, I repeated this only without iTunes on and I was able to rate all photos without a crash!
So, for all those who know the inner workings of these programs better than I do, does this behavior make sense? Could Bonjour be responsible?
For those with crashes, try disabling this program in msconfig and not running iTunes on a clean reset and see if this fixes your crashes.
Hope this helps (and I hope I haven't jinxed myself...)
    E

I don't know Bonjour all that well, but there is another possible explaination. LR runs your system pretty hard, even when it is the only thing open. In fact it is the only program that really heats up my notebook.
If you have it open at the same time as Photoshop or a word processor then they are not necessarily working at full speed at the same time. With iTunes running in the background (or any audio player) it is going to be using some of those system resources that LR wants all to itself.
Same priciple as getting disk writing errors when working the processor while burning a disk. Just a thought. It's why I use my iPod while editing photos, instead of iTunes.

  • BUGS - Mine or "Ours" - Share & Compare Your Suspected Bugs.

Plenty of bugs are to be expected with any significant software upgrade, and to be an early adopter is to welcome such little devils into your digital workflow. One of the best things to do is to take an extra 20 seconds and type a snippet into the Apple Crash Reporter regarding what you were doing prior to the problem. The more feedback Apple gets, the more bugs will disappear with each update.
In the interim, we have helpful forums like this one to help us troubleshoot the balance between notions of what Leopard is doing wrong versus what we (or someone else's application, hardware, etc) might be doing wrong.
If you stumbled on this entry and have 30-60 seconds to spare, I'm sure some of us might benefit from being able to compare the lists of hiccups we've been encountering since upgrading to Leopard, to the lists of other early adopters and the bumps they've picked up on. What's more, some of us might further get an idea if it's Leopard's issue or something elses. (or if anyone knows of an url pointing to a similar compendium that would be great!)
For what it's worth, here's my weeks worth of possible Leo hiccups (I'll add as more arise):
    {specs: +canon pixma ip6000D, canoscan lide60, mouseworks trackball, external usb2.0 hdds, wacom cte-440,+ most common apps +omni-applications, iwork '08, GarageBand, iPhoto, Safari, Firefox, Adobe CS3, iTunes, Yep, Quicksilver, Quickeys, Textexpander, Textmate, Finder, Edgies, modo, maya, (other video and audio apps+)}
    *1. Spaces*
I've configured certain applications to show up on specific spaces along with some apps to show up on all spaces. For about two hours, whenever I ⌘Tab to an application that is specified to display on a different space, Spaces will kindly switch to the respective space to show the app. A few hours later (on numerous occasions), I'll eventually hit ⌘Tab to switch to an app that is assigned to different space, Spaces will not switch - while it will show the app name in the menubar, the windows and palettes of any nonlocal app will not display. (The real question might be what am I habitually doing/launching/adjusting/etc every couple hours that could be the culprit?)
More when I get time and thanks to anyone else who might share and compare notes. 200711021833Fri

Our developers and our consultancy clientele have struggle to find any logical use for Spaces.app. We've come off as rather dim when trying to explain what the company whose product we highly recommend was thinking in regards to this obtuse implentation. ⌘Tab and Exposé are extremely sufficient for navigating between applications, why anyone would want to add Spaces to that mix, simply to separate their applications is beyond any of us. Users are confused as to why they cannot organize their spaces according to tasks or activities in order to truly leverage the power of virtual desktops.
    e.g.,
    • Space 1 for correspondence and management tasks could be assigned:
    Safari
    iCal
    Mail
    Address Book
    • Space 2 for web development could be assigned:
    Safari
    Dreamweaver
    Textmate
    • Space 3 open for an alternative programming or scripting task would have assigned:
    Safari
    Textmate
    Terminal
In cases where the same application appears in multiple spaces, switching to that application will not transport the user away from the current space and display the open windows for that application in a different space, instead it will switch to that application and remain in the current space, allowing the user to open a new window and load different files or content than those that appear in the other spaces in which that app resides.

  • After installing security update 2008-007

I installed security update 2008-007 yesterday and now several applications refuse to open: adobe acrobat, itunes, and the image capture application for my HP scanner/printer, so far have "closed unexpectedly immediately upon opening. This is my first entry on a discussion board, so let me know if there's a better way to get some good advice

Hi finnst, and a warm welcome to the forums!
You're doing great for a first post!
Could be many things, we should start with this...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
    5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.

  • Alternative solution to MA

This is a bit of rant/question. I have purchased a new iMac 27". Current iMac 24 has some issues with permissions, fonts, and other issues related to specific programs. It was time for me to buy a new Mac anyway so I figured that I would not try to spend hours and hours and hours trying to fix these problems but rather get a new one and only import my most important programs. (Adobe CS, iTunes, Mail, iPhoto, Witch, and some others) So did some research and to my dismay Migration Assistant is an ALL or NOTHING kind of program. So either I migrate my messed up configuration or I don't and have to deal with a one by one re-installation of 15-20 programs hoping i have saved the keys for all of them along with the key files with my preferences etc. in it. So MY QUESTION is: OTHER THAN Migration Assistant, which would be useless in this situation, is there a THIRD Party software that could do this never-heard-before-incredible-feat, which is only migrate selected applications but not all? I can't believe that user-friendly customer-centric the-user-God APPLE has not figure this out! My tendency is to return my APPLE and give it a try with WINDOWS 7. I mean if I have to start from scratch mind as well try something new...no?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. --Thanks to all and sorry for the rant!!!

CS3 you may want to research more, or upgrade (eventually) to CS5.
Backups are important. A bootable clone of your system can be a life saver and created wtih SuperDuper, Carbon Copy Cloner, Apple Disk Utility (RESTORE).
Pick up a copy of David Pogue's "Mac OS X: The Missing Manual, Snow Leopard 2nd Edition" at the library.
No different than doing a Windows type Custom Clean install. And treat MA as you would Windows Easy Transfer to backup and restore your data, email, prefs, documents and such.
Just be sure to have your iMac system drives or copies/clones of same handy. So that MA or Setup Assistant can do its thing, just with check box next to "Apps" not selected.
And maybe a list of what programs you had installed. System Profile has a list of all the installed applications and other items.
10.6.3 to 10.6.4 should not be too much trouble, though it does seem a lot of people are hoping and waiting for a fix and not 100% happy with .4 right now.

  • System RAM, How to know if it's working?

    I bought some RAM at Fry's. Patriot PC3200 1G, 2 sticks.
My machine recognizes it (I now have 4.5GB RAM - used to have 2.5), but I see no improvement in the number of apps I can open. I have effectively doubled the amount of RAM I was using, but I previously had open Adobe PS, iTunes, CamTwist and Safari, but when I checked my mail, it went sluggish on me... After I added the RAM I saw no improvement.
Is it possible that the machine recognizes the RAM quantity but is not using it, or using it incorrectly?
Is Patriot the wrong brand to use?
Also the new RAM is listed in System Infor as PC3200u-30440 and all the previous RAM is -30330
    Can that be hindering anything?

The amount of available RAM for applications is the sum of Free RAM and Inactive RAM. This will change as applications are opened and closed or change from active to inactive status. The Swap figure represents an estimate of the total amount of swap space required for VM if used, but does not necessarily indicate the actual size of the existing swap file. If you are really in need of more RAM that would be indicated by how frequently the system uses VM. If you open the Terminal and run the top command at the prompt you will find information reported on Pageins () and Pageouts (). Pageouts () is the important figure. If the value in the parentheses is 0 (zero) then OS X is not making instantaneous use of VM which means you have adequate physical RAM for the system with the applications you have loaded. If the figure in parentheses is running positive and your hard drive is constantly being used (thrashing) then you need more physical RAM.
