AFAB Accidently posted into period 12.

Hi Expert,
My user accidently planned posting run into period 12 (which somehow the close coordinator open period 12).
And now user cannot do planned posting run for period 01. Can i reverse the planned posting run period 12?
This is the error message.
Period 001 is already posted
Message no. AAPO520
Diagnosis
You want to run the next planned run of the depreciation posting run in period 001. However, the last planned posting run was already performed for period 012.
System Response
The planned posting run cannot be performed. Processing terminates.
Procedure
You can either execute a repeat run in period 012, or a planned or unplanned run in a later period

Here you can ask the usser to post an unplanned depriciation i.e ABAA, for what he posted for period 12. and ask him to run in unplanned AFAB run when he is running for period 12.

  • Full unplanned depreciation posted into period

    Hello,
posting an unplanned depreciation SAP AA divides the full value between all remaining periods of the year.
Is there a way to change the behavior, so that the full value is posted to the month it is posted?
I have found hardly any customizing settings for unplanned depreciation and I found no documentation to how it is calculated.
    Can anyone help me
    Regards
    Anton

    Hi Anton,
You did not mentioned what transaction code you used in posting your unplanned depreciation before you got the scenario you described in your posting.
For you to post unplanned depreciation for a specific month without the system distributing the full value between all remaining periods of the year, use transaction code<b> ABAA</b>.
It is important that you complete the following fields correctly.
    1. <b>Company Code</b> : Specify appropriate CC
    2. <b>Asset</b>               : Specify the asset number
    3. <b>Sub-number</b>      : Specify if you have one, otherwise, leave blank
    4. <b>Document Date</b> : Specify doument date
    5. <b>Posting Date</b>     : Specify Posting date
    6. <b>Period</b>               : It is important that you specify the period you want to post the unplanned depreciation to. If you leave blank, the system would just use your posting date and may distribute the amount over the remaining periods of the year.
    7. <b>Trans. Type</b>       : 640 (Unplanned depreciation on old assets data)
    I hope the above helps.
Do not forget to award the points please.

  • AFAB valid posting periods

    Hi there,
We're having issues when posting depreciation into Period 15 for 2009, and I was wondering if there is any way to check that our system is set up to accept posting from special periods (14, 15, 16).  We have managed to post into periods 1 and 2 for 2010, but are looking at having to restart the posting for P15 2009. I don't want to action this until I'm sure that P15 has been set up as a valid period in the config.
    Please help!

    Hi,
Check that the Fiscal year variant assigned to the company code has special periods.
Then check in SPRO   ...... Asset Accounting > Valuation > Fiscal year,   if a different Variant has been assigned to the company code/ Depreciation area. If yes then check that it also has special periods.
    Kind regards

  • PGI & Billing documents posted into different reporting periods

    Hi guys
    The problem
    We have a situation where an Order was generated in January;
    3 deliveries/ Post Goods Issued (PGI'd) were processed for this order - 2 in January and 1 in February;
And 1 billing document was created in February.
This has caused some problems in accounting in that Cost of sales and Revenue is posted into two different periods (i.e. January & February)
    Customising
The billing relevance for this order type has been customised via 'Define item category' to 'B - Relevant for order-related billing - status acc.to order qty'
The order type is relevant for delivery; and
The billing quantity via Copying control: Delivery document to Billing document config is 'B - Delivery quantity less invoiced quantity'.
    My question
Since delivery could cut across several reporting periods and has to be completed before an ORDER-RELATED billing is done. Are there any settings that could be customised in config such that Revenue will be posted along with the Cost of Sales at the point of PGI?
    Many thanks in advance.
    Regards, Felix

Can you please let me know whether the Actual GI Date in Delivery and Billing date differs in your case ??
In normal circumstances, your Actual GI Date will be your Invoice date in which case, I feel your question is answered.
    thanks

  • Derived depr. area to post into GL (past values)

Hello, here I describe my situation:
I have created 2 new asset depreciation areas: one of them is to store paralell values for fixed assets (12) and the other (13) is a derived area which will be used to post differences between area 12 and area 01, is a derived area but it is configured to post into GL .
New values are going to be set up for area 12 using transaction AS92 but the transfer date for these values is in the past (date 12.31.2007). After uploading the values I need to post also in the new area the retirement and transfer movements that were posted in area 01 during years 2008-2010 and also the depreciation posted in area 01 during these years. The thing is that we don´t want these transactions from a fiscal year in the past to be posted in an already closed fiscal year, but manually in fiscal year 2010.
Is it possible to configure area 13 not to post into GL and then once the retirements and depreciations of year 2008, 2009 and 2010 (up to present period) are posted change the configuration of depr. Area into u201CPost assets periodically in General Ledgeru201D and the system starts posting depreciations and other transactions into GL for the new area from June 2010 forward? If so, Can I obtain depreciations posted in area 13 from 01.01.2008 to 30.06.2010.
Thanks in advance for your help

  • Error AAPO191 in AFAB: depreciation posting run

    Hi,
I created a new depreciation area and customized the account determination on AO90. When running the AFAB (dep. posting run) the system issues the error AAPO 191 "Internal error in item 0000000000: asset row is not complete"
I checked the note 859617 which says the accumulated depreciation account must not be set as fixed asset reconciliation account.
As far as I know, these accounts have to be set as reconciliation accounts otherwise it will be open for manual postings leading to inconsistencies between FI-AA and FI-GL.
I checked transaction OAMK and it has some accounts in it (but not the ones with errors). Nevertheless, it has no option to include new accounts.
Can anyone help me out with this error?
    Thanks in advance,
    Paulo Siqueira

    Hi Paulo,
this error is nearly always about wrong or missing  account control in your account determination. Please check closely
note 7595 and verify if any account has been erroneously defined or  is missing.
    As per note  7595:
    1. Areas to be posted in dialog   > T093-BUHBKT = 1
The balance sheet accounts and the accumulated depreciation accounts must be characterized as reconciliation accounts of account type   'A'. Down payment account KTANZA must also be a reconciliation
    2.  Areas to be posted periodically or areas only relevant to  depreciation  -> T093-BUHBKT = 2
Create the accounts of these areas as ordinary G/L accounts.  They may not be reconciliation accounts.

    Hi Sujeet,
Please have a look, if the process suggested below is of any help:
Subject:      How To Unpost Transactions in AR
         Doc ID:
    Note:219307.1     Type:      HOWTO
Last Revision Date:      29-DEC-2005     Status:      PUBLISHED
    •     goal: How to unpost transactions in Accounts Receivable
    •     Goal: How to unpost a batch transferred from AR to GL
    •     Fact: Oracle Receivables
    •     Fact: Oracle General Ledger
    •     Fact: ARGLTP - General Ledger Transfer Program
    •     Fact: ARGCGP - Clear GL Interface Table
    Fix:
Run the concurrent program ARGCGP to unpost (reset the posted status) for the
    Affected AR transactions.
    1. Verify the following before running ARGCGP.
    - The AR period affected is open
    - The correct posting_control_id is identified. Otherwise, running
the program will make the problem worse by allowing data to be
    posted twice.
    - The batch has not been imported/posted to the GL
    (N) As GL Superuser, Navigate, Journals, Enter
    Query up batch name %<posting_control_id>%
    - The transactions cannot be found in the GL_INTERFACE table
    2. To run the program, it should be setup as a concurrent request.
Note: The program can be run from the Unix command prompt however
it will not pickup _ALL tables in a multi-org environment.
    - System Admin Responsibility: Concurrent > Program > Define
    - Query ARGCGP (as the short name)
    - Click 'Copy To'
Give it a new program name and short name
    For example: ARGCGP-Reverse AR Posting
    - Click on Use in SRS
    - Save
    - Click on Parameters
    - Enter these parameters and save:
Seq Paramater Valueset Default Value Required Display
4 Set of Books id AR_SRS_SET_OF_BOOKS_ID Constant yes yes
    5 Posting_control_id 20 Characters yes yes
    6 Reset_gl_pst_date 6 Characters Constant Y yes yes
    7 del_gl_interface 6 Characters Constant Y yes yes
    8 debug_flag 6 Characters Constant N yes yes
    Description of Parameters
    - set_of_books_id = The ID for the book posted from AR
    - posting_control_id = the unique id for the original posting run from AR
to GL. Can be identified by querying the
AR_POSTING_CONTROL table if value is not known.
    - reset_gl_pst_date = (Y)es or (N)o flag to indicate if records in AR
marked as posted should be reset so that they are
    postable again
    - del_gl_interface = (Y)es or (N)o flag to indicate if records for this
    posting_control_id should be deleted from
    gl_interface table
    - debug_flag = (Y)es or (N)o flag to put additional debug
    information in the log file
    3. Add the new program to Revenue Recognition Request Group.
    - Security > Responsibility > Request
    - Query up Group Revenue Recognition, Application Oracle Receivables
    - Add a new line
    - Report and from LOV choose ARGCGP-SRS
    - Save
    4. Change the user's responsiblity to Receivables User and run the process.
    5. Rerun the GL Interface.
    * WARNING: Before updating any tables in SQL*Plus,
    * perform a BACKUP of the affected tables.
    Additional info:
When you cannot enter any parameters under point 2, please check if there is
    clicked on Use in SRS.

  • Post-warranty period defect in iPhone

I bought my iPhone 4S in March 2011. There was some defect in the phone recently. I was not able to hear the ring tone of incoming calls, listen to music etc. I could hear the sounds with the headphone on. I went to the Apple dealer/ franchisee in Bangalore, India. They told me that it was a defect in the hardware and they were going to replace my phone with a new one and they did it promptly. I was lucky that the problem surfaced during warranty period.
But what if it had happened in the post-warranty period? I would like to know from others based on past history and practices: Does Apple get such and similar defects repaired (for a charge) at their service centres or is that the end of that phone/tablet and one needs to buy a new one? Not sure how it works and a bit concerned. Would like some information in this regard. Thanks
I love my iPhone and iPad!

Post wrranty period you can take it into a service center and (wth exceptions) get the whole unit replaced with a refurbished unit for a flat fee.
If a problem arises with the repair they just did that is warrantied for 90 days.
