After 6 tries to load Photoshop CS6 on my new laptop, I keep getting the following message after I enter my valid serial number: "Serial number you provided is valid but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer."  What I'm, trying to do is download the qualifying product which I purchased just a year ago?  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I contacted Adobe support Chat and they confirmed the serial number and gave me a response code number to enter. Once that was entered the product downloaded immediately. The whole process took 10 minutes.  Thank you for your response. I'm all good now.

Did you buy an upgrade version of Acrobat 11?  If so then you need to provide the serial number of the old product that you are upgrading from.  This is normal with all upgrade versions otherwise people would all buy upgrade versions without owning the prior versions so this is one of the checks the installation process does.,
You have the serial number for the old product right?  If not go back to your account and see if the old product is listed there.
Also, please remove the picture you have posted here because it has your serial numbers which are not meant to be public.

  • Installed Xl Pro but get message Serial Number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer

I just bought and installed Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, but when I open it, or access a PDF file, I get the error message "Serial Number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer."
The list of products on the drop down list that comes with this message includes Adobe Acrobat XI Standard and Adobe Acrobat X Pro Macintosh, but doesn't include Adobe Pro XI for Windows. Selecting either of those, and using my serial number, fails, of course. As a result, I can't run my newly purchased program, or access any PDFs.
Please tell me what to do.

Chuck you have placed Order for Acrobat Upgrade if you don't have any previous version of Acrobat than you need to cancel this order and need to buy a full version.

  • I receive message "Serial number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer" when I try and install Acrobat XI Standard

I have a PC with windows 7 installed.  Acrobat X reader and Acrobat XI Pro trial version run fine.  I have purchased Acrobat XI Standard and there is a serial number in my account.  Acrobat XI Standard installs fine but I receive the error message after putting my serial number in, "Serial number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer."

The message identifies that you have purchased an upgrade version of the applications and it is asking you to identify the previous version of that application that you are upgrading from and then to provide its serial number.
If you did not intend to purchase an upgrade version then you probably need to cancel that and purchase it at full price.

  • I got my Photoshop CS6 to the Installer and once it has me put in my serial number, it is telling me "The serial number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer.

Isn't that the whole point? Aren't I trying to download and install photoshop CS6? I don't understand this. Can someone PLEASE help me install this damn thing?? I unzipped it all, and attempted to install. I got my serial number from my account online. What am I doing wrong?

your cs6 serial number is an upgrade from a previous version.  after entering your cs6 serial number you should be prompted for the previous version's serial number.
enter the correct number at the correct time and installation should proceed.

  • 'Serial Number you have provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer`?

I am trying to install cs6 design and web premium on my new laptop via the DL content on the adobe website. I have downloaded the 2 correct files which automatically extract everything, but when I get to entering the serial number, it tells me that my serial number is valid, but there isn't a qualifying product found on my computer. The drop down tab of alternative products doesn't even feature Design and Web Premium. Can someone shed some light on the issue?
    Many Thanks

Your serial number is for an upgrade (as opposed to a full version = full price serial number).
An upgrade serial number must be supported by a serial number from an earlier qualifying version in order to prove to the CS6 installer that you are entitled to use the upgrade (cheaper) serial number.
For CS6 "earlier qualifying" usually means CS5 or CS5.5. Those should be the versions listed in the dropdown menu.
So do you have a CS5 or CS5.5 serial number?

  • Serial Number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer

can't figure out how to fix this problem

you have an upgrade serial number.  after entering it you should select your qualifying (previous version) product.  you will then be prompted for the qualifying product's serial number.
enter the correct number at the correct time and installation will proceed.

  • "Serial Number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer" when upgrading from LR5 to 6

I just downloaded desktop version of LR6 (upgrade). I (unfortunately) have more then one email address associated with Adobe account. I "think" that the last purchase of 5 (upgrade from 4) might be associated with one of the other email addresses. I have atempted to logon to these other "accounts", and cannot. I have done "forgot password" but do not get the email from Adobe.
Any suggestions would be most welcomed!

The message identifies that you have purchased an upgrade version of the applications and it is asking you to identify the previous version of that application that you are upgrading from and then to provide its serial number.

  • Serial number you entered is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer.

    This is absurd.
I wanted to purchase Adobe Acrobat, and somehow wound up downloading what is apparently an upgrade. So, now I'm getting this error message, and my ~$170 purchase is apparently useless at the moment. Someone please tell me I didn't waste my money, and I can actually USE the software I just purchased.
    Thanks in advance.

It's not really for me to defend Adobe's web site, but I thought I'd share this screen shot
It shows that, for me, it does default to upgrade, but before I can buy I have to select from I own a list of specific products. That's making a pretty definite statement before continuing. However, many people get confused about the difference between Acrobat and Adobe Reader. Also, when I tested before I found that the store behaved differently depending on your country, so you might have seen something entirely different. Good luck with Adobe!

  • Just downloaded Photoshop CS6 - 'Qualifying product could not be found on this computer.' HELP!

Okay, title says it all. I just downloaded Photoshop CS6 (an upgrade from Photoshop CS3 Extended).
I went to enter the Serial Number, and when I did, a box appeared telling me that the 'Serial Number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer'.
It goes on to say: 'To use this serial number, you must own one of these qualifying products. Please choose the one you own and enter its serial number.'
The drop-down list under products includes: Adobe Photoshop CS4, Adobe Photoshop CS5, Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended,
Adobe Photoshop CS4 Extended, Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended, Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended, and Adobe Photoshop CS3.
    Where is Adobe Photoshop CS6...???
I am very concerned and would be very grateful to anyone who could help me with this problem.
    Thank you.

Update: I decided to just re-enter the serial no. for Photoshop CS3 Extended and select the same option a couple more times, and suddenly it decided to work. To my great releif!
The only thing I can conclude is that the system just needed a few minutes to update itself (perhaps Adobe was waiting for the payment to be released by the bank?).
Either way, thank you very much for taking the time to respond to my queary, Mylenium.

  • SERIAL NUMBER YOU PROVIDED IS VALID BUT A QAULIFYING PRODUCT COULD NOT BE FOUND ON THIS COMPUTER

I HAVE DOWNLOADED ACORBAT XI PRO AND WHEN I CLICK ON ICON ON MY DESK TOP THIS APPEARS
SERIAL NUMBER YOU PROVIDED IS VALID BUT A QUALIFYING PRODUCT COULD NOT BE FOUND ON THIS COMPUTER
    HELP?

    Hi elizabethr49128712,
Did you upgrade from a previous version of Acrobat?  The "qualifying product" is the older version that you owned before you purchased the upgrade.  It is what qualifies you to use the less expensive upgrade version. So you need to select the older version and provide its serial number to prove that you qualify for using the upgrade.
Please see this document for more information:

  • Serial number you provided is valid, but a qualifiying product could not be found on this computer

I had Acrobat XI Pro installed on my old computer.
I downloaded a trial version on my new computer and ended my product key.
The software downloaded and installed but when I go to use it I get this message "Serial number you provided is valid, but a qualifiying product could not be found on this computer".
Apparently this is due to my product key being an upgrade licence (I had a previous version of Acrobat before I upgraded on my old machine.
How do I get XI to work on my new machine?

During the install you SHOULD be provided a screen where you may enter your old product serial number

  • CS6 Design Standard Serial Number is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found...?

I am attempting to reinstall CS6 Design Standard after a computer upgrade, however the Application Manager won't take my serial number.  In particular, when I enter the serial number, I receive the following error message:
Serial Number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer.
When I enter the serial number for one of the products that should be eligible for the upgrade, I receive the error message:
This serial number is not for a qualifying product.  Please try another.
I've attempted this on a couple of machines with the same result.  I've also attempted to install CS6 Design Standard after installing numerous other products: CS5 Design Premium, CS5 Design Standard, CS3 Design Standard... and none of these were found as qualifying products.
I'm attempting this on OS X 10.9.3, on numerous MacBook Pro configurations from the past four years.  It is plugged into the network, and the connection is active.  I haven't seen anything in Console that is related.
Is there someone from Adobe that I can contact to get verification of this Serial Number, and what product it would be attached to?
    Thanks,
    shane.

The Serial Number you have is a upgrade Serial Number from a older version.
So when you try to install, you have to insert the Serial Number for CS6 Design Standard and on the next screen, you need to choose the old product from drop down list and enter the Serial Number for that.
It is not necessary to install the old application before installing CS6 Design Standard , all you need is the Serial Number for the old version.
If still you have issue, you can contact the support as mentioned by Steve.
